I kinda try to do that, I don’t actively hit them with an elevator pitch and hit them with everything at once. I’ll ask about their school/employment and try to ask follow up questions and get to know her, start a legit conversation. Thanks! My issue isn’t really with being on dates, I can’t get one in the first place. I’ve been going out to bars semi regularly to try and get numbers and dates but I haven’t been on a first date in years. That’s something I was going to say. When I go out, I tend to dress slightly different/better than what most guys will be wearing. Fortunately, most guys are in running shoes, jeans, and a graphic t shirt, so i usually wear a casual button down and chinos, with Chelsea boots or something. Yeah, it’s a weird combination of growing up in a rural community without the ability to see friends much outside of school, parents being in a loveless marriage and mocking me whenever I showed interest in a girl. Yeah. She's talking, not committed yet. The way I see it dating is like interviewing for a job. You can apply, and get immediately rejected or you get an interview. Rn she's interviewing candidates to fill that slot. (giggity) No reason not to shoot your shot and toss your hat in the ring.

My guess is they didn't date in highschool because they are super focused on school or just didn't talk to girls and now they're in college and realized that they have no idea what to do when all their friends are dating and hooking up. Thanks, I'll be going out next weekend, I'll try to remember it all so that I can get more advice. Is there any size bar I should be shooting for? There aren't too many choices in my town, and most are like these gastropub places because God forbid a place just just serve alcohol according to the city council. I thought about driving to Charlotte but that's like an hour away one state over. It has like 8-10x the population too

Yeah that's, that's about how all of them go. All my school and work is logical conversations, I never really developed that flirty, teasing way of communicating. I'm doing a little better but it's something im still working on and have a little long way to go

Honestly, I could move out tomorrow, I have a large nest egg but my parents need the rent money I'm paying and I want to buy a house and I'd rather rent from them and some corperation. Unfortunately suburbia is about all Columbia has, though I think a 15 minute drive to downtown trump's 50 minutes. I do have a hard move out date of June 23', I'll have about 40k in savings by then.

I'm in the same boat, I've tried a few times and gotten some numbers but nothing has really come out of it as of yet. No texts back or anything. From what I know, it's an issue with my approach and I'm making mistakes i dont even know I'm making. It's kinda like playing a difficult game with no tutorial imo.
