I’m sorta still drunk so please keep this in mind when reading.

I came very close to hooking up with two different women tonight. For context, I’m on a group trip in Peru and we were hanging out in someone’s room, had a lot of pisco to drink, eventually ended up with a girl on top of me. We didn’t make out, which I feel was a mistake as if I did we’d probably be sleeping together right now. I could have easily escalated the situation with her but chose not to because of fear, but I know she’d be open to it. The second I feel has been into me since we met, but she went with another guy. He (the guy who’s room it was) basically kicked me out of his room after the party and said she stays. Either way though the ending of this story is me alone again, I feel like significant progress has been made for me. I always viewed asking a girl to sleep with you as kinda douchey and idk, just wrong. Probably from my conservative upbringing but still I feel this is a good message for men like me who are still struggling to be with a woman. Understand learning these skills is a process, one which I am still learning and very much a beginner in. However even though I am not with a girl rn, I am not sad. I’m bummed, but I learned 3 valuable lessons

My lesson was 1) alcohol really helps you come out of your shell, to say things you may feel uncomfortable saying and 2) don’t be afraid to ask for what you want. You gotta change your mindset from assuming she’ll say no to that she’ll say yes. 3) If a woman is on top of you, it’s probably not a bad idea to kiss her.
