I like a lot of aspects of China's system but do not know if it is or I should be fully socialist. I know this isn't about men's rights, but china isn't an example government. They are extremely authoritarian and pretty anti-left wing. Social democracy is the way (Like Norway)

Very libertarian and left leaning.

I would say that India is one of the worse places to be women and men, but i would say overall women have it worse there.

I mean this could just showing off their technology by some practical use. I wouldn't imagine there would be outrage if the genders were switched. Apple is a corporation, they don't get anything by bullying men as a group.
/r/MensRights07/11/21 02:12 AM

There was even a comment suggesting that it was fake because that person couldn't believe that men could be victims of domestic abuse. Luckily got called out though.

Women, on average, make up the majority of subordinate positions while men Like what? Also what does a CEO get by "dictating society in a way to keep men on top and women in subordinance." They would just be wasting their time they could be making money. CEOs don't give a damn about keeping men on top. All they are concerned for is money and fame.
/r/MensRights05/11/21 11:42 PM

I don't know. If you mean patriarchy as a system where men make up most of the top 0.01%, then sure society is a patriarchy, but I think we should look at society through the middle and lower class(The rest of society). The men at the top of society do very little to favor men in the rest of society. What would a ceo of a business or politician get being sexist to women? The men at the top of society benefit the upper classes, not men in general.

Secular Talk.
/r/MensRights03/11/21 11:21 PM

It really depends on the definition of patriarchy. Why have a debate on this when you can't agree on what it is lol.
/r/MensRights03/11/21 11:20 PM

I mean there still is great pressure for men not to complain and take things "like a man" in almost all societies. This could be why. Also, the women's rights movement faced the same challenges this one did, so deviation from the norm could be another reason.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/11/21 03:03 PM

I would say they have similar motives but Mensrights allows for more freedom of speech, so a lot of people from MGTOW joined to sub so you will see hateful people there. I still would say this sub is more like Mensrights than it is to Menslib.

I believe I read a statistic somewhere that men were more likely to be discriminated against when renting. Can't find it right now.

Although what she said was bad, she shouldn't be arrested for what she said. People should have a freedom to say whatever they want as long as it isn't a direct threat of violence to a person.

I think he is an example for all people, not just men.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/10/21 11:04 PM

They are not getting worse i would say, but the gap grows compared to women. For example, in the 1950s, men faced many of the issues they faced now, and so did women. There was a big movement to rid women of these issues, but not men. So, I wouldn't say stuff has got worse, but they haven't gotten much better.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/10/21 03:57 PM
1

Very true.
/r/MensRights19/10/21 04:46 AM

NO. Words like matriarchy and patriarchy are meaningless and add nothing to the conversation. Men and women obviously both face issues. This isn't a competition.

Tbh i don't care if boy scouts lets in girls. They are low on members first of all. Also, there are some activities that boy scouts does that girl scouts doesn't. The girls get put into a different patrol or troop than the boys, so it doesn't affect the boys at all. Who cares if they join. The problem is girl scouts doesn't let in boys. I think the best decision here is to get rid of boy and girl scouts and merge them into one.
/r/MensRights19/10/21 12:26 AM
11

True, but arguably less. I think the main reason places like India have child brides getting married to older men is because generally men marry like 2-4 years later there. So the majority of child bride marriages are like 15-17 getting married off to 16-21 or something. Not trying to justify it.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/10/21 01:35 PM

All good except 18. Dowry is actually paid to men. Or am I misinterpreting this lol?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/10/21 05:11 AM

To be honest who cares if people are more cautious around men as long as they aren't openly sexist. If a woman wants to avoid men on the road, who cares, it doesn't affect any men actually. The only bad thing is if they harming men.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/10/21 11:16 PM
18

Like all of men's issues are caused by conservative values if you dig deep. Most of the left wingers against men's advocacy are just often supporting right wing narratives deep down.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/10/21 04:47 AM

Good post. I feel like more and more of this sub is just whining about radical feminists. They act as if radical feminists are the majority of the populace or something.
/r/MensRights08/10/21 04:18 AM

Don't use the word matriarchy. You will go down the victim rabbit hole.
/r/MensRights06/10/21 03:19 PM
2

Good point. You can be sexist to your own gender.
/r/MensRights03/10/21 02:57 AM

I don't think just being skinny would get you all the attention. Then most the population wouldn't be married.

Yes you are paranoid. Take time off twitter lol. If you happen to encounter one of those FDS people, then immediately avoid it.

These type of discussions are confusing because nobody has any idea what a feminist is. Like what is a feminist? You can make up any definition you want.
/r/MensRights23/09/21 02:53 PM
1

Abortion is the main thing I agree with feminists on. But the thing is many feminists will blame abortion on sexism, when it is a actually a problem of religion and morality. Very few pro-lifers actually are pro-life because they are sexist. But again, you really can't talk about this without defining what a feminist is. Is anybody who calls themselves a feminist a feminist?

I don't think it is quantifiable. I am not saying that trans people are the exact same as biological women. Obviously trans women are still biologically male. You really can't define a woman outside a biological definition. I am saying that we should treat trans people like normal people though. Oli London does not feel like like he is a Korean. He is obviously just a crazy idiot doing it for attention. For starters, Trans people have an extremely high suicide rate. If people are going to length…

I see where you come from but don't phrase it like. Some random person will screenshot it out of context to call this sub mysogynistic.
/r/MensRights19/09/21 04:20 PM

They physically and mentally feel like women. Also they want to do feminine things(Which is a social construct).
/r/MensRights19/09/21 04:16 PM
1

No, when did I say gender was a social construct. Gender roles are a social construct but not biological gender, which you can never change. Don't try straw manning me.
/r/MensRights19/09/21 03:23 AM
1

No. Men and women are mentally and physically different, and behave in different ways. People of different races are exactly the same outside of some physical traits. Different races don't act in different ways. Transgender people essentially have to live as the opposite gender they feel like. Transracial people are all faking it, or seriously insane.
/r/MensRights18/09/21 07:27 PM
2

Because you can function as the opposite gender in society. There really aren't anybody who think they are another race or species. All transracial people are just doing it for attention.
/r/MensRights18/09/21 04:47 PM
1

I would get help. Also, the amount of people who see themselves as a different race is minimal compared to the amount of transgender people. You can live as a functioning human living as the other gender. Its not like you are some transspecies goat waling around on four legs(Which means you should get help).
/r/MensRights18/09/21 04:41 PM
2

Perhaps because of corona.
/r/MensRights18/09/21 04:01 PM
2

I would say the best rule of thumb for a relationship is to expect to put in as work into it as your partner does. So don't be a woman who wants a man do everything for her while she does little back, and don't be a man who wants some ideal wife while you sit around playing video games all day. If you want, have high expectations but don't complain that you can't find anybody that will meet them without making sure you are willing to put in a lot of effort as well.
/r/MensRights18/09/21 03:58 PM
7

Yes, the best is the make the retirement the same. It is stupid it make men retire later because they live less long so they get even less enjoyment in their senior years.
/r/MensRights18/09/21 03:53 PM

War deaths. It is insane what happens to young boys in war ridden areas. They often are recruited to be child soldiers.
/r/MensRights17/09/21 11:08 PM
1

Even if they might now biologically be men, we should treat them as such because they mentally feel uncomfortable in their old body. Imagine one day you woke up as the opposite gender and you were forced to live like that. You would go insane. This is how many trans people feel.
/r/MensRights17/09/21 11:08 PM

Of course there was misandry in all waves of feminism, as there was with every single movement. I feel like feminism has grown the most hateful today, much more so than what it was in the first and second waves.
/r/MensRights15/09/21 11:11 PM
1

Any examples?
/r/MensRights15/09/21 01:58 PM

Very true, the feminism isn't inherently bad by its simplest definition (Equality). It is just what different feminist movements have become is the problem.

/r/MensRights10/09/21 11:43 PM

I feel like Men's Rights has much less censorship and is generally more productive than MensLib. MensLib also sometimes ignores certain male issues. I personally think r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates is the best male sub, because they believe in egalitarian values and they don't believe in the feminist "patriarchy" theory.
/r/MensRights10/09/21 11:41 PM

Let the woman choose? That's the definition of pro abortion? Ok now I am confused.

Well there is one.
/r/MensRights09/09/21 02:09 AM

The reason main anti abortion laws exist is because of people's religious and moral views, not sexism. In fact, men and women hold almost identical views on abortion. Feminists should try fighting religious and moral arguments instead of trying to blame sexism.
/r/MensRights09/09/21 01:49 AM

Male victims of rape should never pay child support. It is horrible to make them do so.
/r/MensRights07/09/21 12:51 AM

To be honest, that's like saying the same thing to men. (If you don't want to pay child support, you should have...)
/r/MensRights07/09/21 12:50 AM

I know but nobody should be forced to give birth. It is very painful and you often have to stop working because of it.

Why are you trying to use feminist tactics? Do you want to basically become the MRA version of a SJW, making generalizations about half the population?

Men should have no choice in abortion because it is another person's, but I think they can opt out of a pregnancy before a certain amount of time so they don't have to pay child support.

Normal Everyday people who just go about with their life? They go to work, come back and relax, take care of their kids, and go to sleep?

No. A fetus has no conscious desire to live before consciousness. A person who is unconscious still has a desire to live, so it would be immoral to end their life.

True.
/r/MensRights05/09/21 04:49 PM

Well I think abortion after the 2nd trimester is wrong because that's when the baby begins to form consciousness, but before that is okay, because you are not inflicted any pain/suffering on a living thing.

Because those are totally the only two ways one can live by.

This is stupid. This article is basically Female Dating Strategy. "Men aren't REAL men unless they do stuff". This article is saying the men should just "Man Up" and deal with it. Basically misandry in disguise.

This person has a point except where he says, "please stop looking for things to be angry at women about". Most people in this sub, about 4/5 are egalitarians, and are not angry at women in general.
/r/MensRights05/09/21 05:21 AM
2

Why do you assume he hates capitalism because he wants labor unions?
/r/MensRights05/09/21 05:20 AM

That generalization is too broad. Men and women were both pushing for Women's Suffrage, as well as against it.
/r/MensRights05/09/21 05:16 AM
1

Ok this is kind of a stupid post. Almost all of the major revolutions in history, (Except Women's Suffrage and 2ndwave/classical feminism) were led by men. I don't see why to focus on them.
/r/MensRights05/09/21 05:15 AM

I don't know why you are getting downvoted on your previous comments lol. You were right.
/r/MensRights05/09/21 05:14 AM

Personally, I think anti-abortion ideology is caused by strong religious beliefs, not because of a desire to control women. Women and Men hold very similar views around abortion. The best way for feminists to tackle the anti-abortion ideology would be to fight the arguments made by the anti-abortion activists instead of blaming the patriarchy.
/r/MensRights05/09/21 05:08 AM

Ok this seems like an overreaction.

So why does it matter if they are male? The reason the majority of the people who signed it in are male is because the majority of politicians are male. Female politicians signed it in as well.

I am only subbed to r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates because I feel like they are the most productive. This sub is more free speech oriented which I think is a good thing on many aspects but sadly that causes this sub to get a bad reputation because of the like 20% of stuff on it.

LVMA isn't partial to feminists because they are leftist. Also there is a good amount of venting there as well. Check the sub out.

"For men, things seem a lot more stagnant." They are so close to realizing that there hasn't been a movement to get rid of sexism/stereotypes against men.
/r/MensRights02/09/21 03:18 AM

I think the stereotypes are the reason. It's just that the radical feminists ignore them (They don't create them).
/r/MensRights01/09/21 11:11 PM

No. Get the idea out of your head that leftists are all identity-politics feminists. There are many reasonable leftists out there. I encourage you check out Kyle Kuklinski's video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQiEUg\_eFTU

I feel like this is the only good PragerU video out there. But watch out, PragerU has some anti-male content as well. In one video, PragerU said that men should cater to women, fight in wars, and provide for their family to prove they are a real man.
/r/MensRights22/08/21 07:08 PM

Woah there...

They fight because they aren't expected to. Other than that, Afghanistan is literally the one place in the world where women face the most problems. Like stop trying to conjure up fake men's issues and victimhood. It is the AFGHAN PEOPLE that are suffering.

Then where is a non "patriarchal" society functioning poorly in the past? Seems to me that all societies back in the day had male dominated academia.

Then why are the most patriarchal societies doing the worst?
/r/MensRights19/08/21 01:33 AM

/r/MensRights16/08/21 03:43 AM

Yes I think the root of this incel culture is sexism towards men. This sexism towards men causes many men to become sad and lonely, and some to even become hateful towards women. The incel culture that seems to be caused by the "patriarchy" is actually caused by sexism towards men.

Wrong. It means that people are more critical OF men.
/r/MensRights16/08/21 03:21 AM

I think this might be because since men are often shamed for expressing their inner feelings directly, they use sometimes humor as a way to show them. So when men fail at jokes, it is seen that they aren't communicating effectively. Just my theory though.
/r/MensRights16/08/21 03:20 AM

I think we should stop making this an "Oppression Olympics". Like competing who has it worse, women or men. I think both face important issues that should be solved. Its pointless to try to determine which group suffers more for privilege points.

I don't think MensRights will get banned. There were a looooooot more misogynists on MGTOW than Mensrights.
/r/MensRights05/08/21 03:50 PM

Mainly because men had to be stoic and not complain about things. A man who complained was seen as unmanly or weak. Meanwhile, a woman who complained was just talking about her problems.

Depends on the type of progressivism.
/r/MensRights30/07/21 05:43 AM

Yes it is even worse in my opinion. Tradcon misandry created most of men's issues (Men must protect women, men must fight in wars, men must not ask for help, women should be favored as parents, circumcision, women are weak so they can't abuse men, the list goes on). Feminists may deny that misandry exists but Tradcons started it all. The Tradcon ideology is the root of 90% of men's issues.

/r/MensRights07/07/21 05:07 AM

That's physical characteristics, not gender roles. If they were so natural, then they should emerge naturally without anybody telling men or women what to do.

They can! Unbelievable.
/r/MensRights03/07/21 05:15 PM

To be honest, it is the same reason why women have tiny pockets. There isn't enough demand for men's clothes. Most men don't care about clothes as much as most women, so companies are gonna target women in their clothing stores. You really can't blame them, they are just trying to appeal to their customers.
/r/MensRights01/07/21 07:41 PM
1

I think there are two main types: liberal feminists: The older type of feminists that were popular in the 1960s-80s. These types of feminists just wanna help women. Radical feminism: This type of feminism believes that society is made by men to benefit men in every way. Thus they believe that men cannot have issues and that they are to blame for all sexism. This type is more common today and on social media, but it is definitely dying out.
/r/MensRights01/07/21 05:17 AM

Very true some talk about "toxic masculinity" but when men actually open up they call it "male fragility". Can't have it good either way.
/r/MensRights27/06/21 03:18 AM

What it should be: Women's Rights: An important issue Men's Rights: Also an important issue This isn't a competition for who is the biggest victim.

/r/MensRights23/06/21 04:28 PM

/r/MensRights23/06/21 04:27 PM

Yes something that gets overlooked a lot. Why do people think gender roles are only for women... So many exist for men too.
/r/MensRights23/06/21 04:26 PM

I see, a typical anti-male conservative we have here. Just because this sub wants to help men doesn't mean it hates women and want's to take away their rights.

No. I don't think anybody should be paid reoperations.
/r/MensRights19/06/21 04:30 PM

/r/MensRights19/06/21 04:29 PM

Ik even though Indian laws may be sexist against men most of Indian society sucks for women and men too, but I have to say India is one of those countries with a society that's worse for women.
/r/MensRights19/06/21 04:28 PM

Yeah there is a lot of talk about how black people are targeted but people forget its usually black MEN that get targeted even more.
/r/MensRights19/06/21 04:26 PM

This is because man was the old English word person and the women back in the day were called wifs. This was combined with man to make wif-man, later becoming woman.

/r/MensRights17/06/21 04:58 AM

I see. I guess say that "women played a large in the freedom struggle (They did) that has been overlooked" or something like that.
/r/MensRights10/06/21 03:14 PM

I don't think its bad to write an essay about women. From what I see, most freedom fighters were men (Gandhi, Bose, Nehru). It would be interesting to see the women's side of the story. If the teacher is implying that women were the only freedom fighters or that the male freedom fighters didn't matter, then try countering the teacher's opinion. I don't know if I am misinterpreting this, but the title itself doesn't have anything wrong with it. Just write of about some female freedom like Sarojin…

All social media is toxic if you can go looking for it. Twitter is just really good at showing you the toxicity.
/r/MensRights07/06/21 04:59 PM

Yeah, society believes that men can just "man up" and handle any abuse they receive. No wonder why the male suicide rate is so high.
/r/MensRights04/06/21 07:42 PM

Ngl but most dress codes are actually sexist to boys. If a boy was wearing anything like what a girl gets dress-coded for, then he would also get dress-coded.
/r/MensRights04/06/21 07:41 PM

Yes. It is double-sexist.
/r/MensRights02/06/21 09:22 PM

Yes Not for men however? The key word is on average. Men and women can have any dating preference they want. I really don't care about that. A man can like feminine women and a woman can like masculine men. If men and women were inherently that way, they wouldn't have to be told to conform to a gender role. I am sure that men are more "masculine" and women are more "feminine" on AVERAGE. Why should we force people to act a certain way because of their gender. If a woman wants to be feminine, let…

/r/MensRights02/06/21 03:42 PM

Its because its the most vocal and radical of a movement that is portrayed as the whole movement. It is the same reason that leftists are often seen as all feminists and easily-offended by the right.
/r/MensRights02/06/21 07:07 AM
-3

Yes. I know that. What I am trying to say is that many MRAs become righties because feminists are "lefties". In reality, real leftists just want social progress. Feminists are a version of a false leftist.
/r/MensRights02/06/21 07:03 AM
1

Indeed.
/r/MensRights02/06/21 05:24 AM
13

Yeah there are too many MRAs in this sub who pretend to care about men but just want men to be "manly" and women to by "ladylike". Kind of stupid. This is about fighting for equality and making sure men aren't judged for their gender.
/r/MensRights02/06/21 01:53 AM
3

"man up" is the biggest psychological abuse men have.
/r/MensRights31/05/21 05:56 PM
1

No don't fall into feminist logic. You are using the exact logic feminists use. Don't say dumb stuff because the feminists do.
/r/MensRights31/05/21 05:54 PM
1

Yeah its that and getting told to "man up". Think about it, almost all men were told by their mom's and dad's that they were weak if they showed any emotion and to "man up".
/r/MensRights30/05/21 04:48 PM
2

Yeah often men are portrayed as unfeeling and brutish which leads to them not getting the help they need.
/r/MensRights29/05/21 04:40 PM
-2

Wrong. Most famous people in history were men because men played most sports, went to war, and invented things.
/r/MensRights28/05/21 02:55 PM
-11

Because most people in recorded history were men. If you take all the people from all the hall of fames its like 90% male. Hall of fames exist for people who were unique in for being/doing something, and it isn't unique to be male and famous.
/r/MensRights28/05/21 01:07 AM
1

Wrong, Some women say men rape.
/r/MensRights27/05/21 02:31 PM
1

Women are going to rape less than men because they are obviously gonna have a harder time trying to rape a man than a man can rape a woman. Virgin men are seen as weak and pathetic so they sometimes become rapists. Virgin women are far less so seen as that. These are just unsourced claims, do not take them too seriously.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates26/05/21 02:55 PM

That's not a lot tbh. Every sub is gonna have an extreme end, especially one that talks about social issues.

Main men's issues in poorer countries. (This isn't ranked, just a list) High expectations on sons Little emotional support Having to live up to a standard of masculinity Dying in war/conflict (Especially in African countries) Disease/Life Expectancy

Bold of you to assume so. I support the men's rights movement and I think there are men's issues that need to be solved. I don't pull stuff out of thin air and fabricate it as "oppression".
/r/MensRights22/05/21 05:05 PM

This really isn't men's rights. Acid attacks happen to women and men. Don't gender issues that don't deserve to be gendered.

No. Saying a culture is toxic is not racism. Is saying the culture perpetuated by the Taliban is toxic, racism? No, of course not. Saying that Indian people are inherently toxic is obviously racist, but saying that the culture in India is toxic is not racist.

Hardly anybody other than a couple of crazy feminists are saying that stay at home moms are bad. My point is, if women are so biologically dispositioned to raising kids, then why don't they do it if we let them do whatever they want? The only reason gender roles worked in the 1950s is because of the post ww2 economic boom that increased the quality of life for the middle class drastically. Because of the increased quality of life, a life where there was one male breadwinner and one female homema…

I am saying that there is no inherent feminine or masculine. I think society conditions people to be one. For example, society conditions men to feel bad if they cry, so men don't cry that much. I think we should just tell children to be good people and not live up to some expectation based on their gender. I do agree that men and women are different mentally, but we should just let people do their own thing and I bet you there will be a lot of "feminine" girls and a lot of "masculine" boys. Thi…

That is your opinion. There are plenty of women like that. Go find one. Go on. Climb up them stairs. I am saying, we shouldn't expect one gender to be one trait. If you like cooperative, friendly, kind, demure, and cowardly women, go find one! Good for you. But women shouldn't have that expectation put on them to be that, just like men shouldn't either. Also, if a woman is brave and independent, that doesn't mean she is controlling or bossy. How about society should expect people to be a certain…

BETRAY? Is women acting like what they want to BETRAYING what makes them special? You seem like a guy who wants to divide up gender roles. This is not men's rights. Again, you can like any type of women you want, but don't stereotype people and don't make them act by gender roles. If there was so much of a biological correlation, there wouldn't be a reason to create them anyways.

Mental health and compassion Healthcare War, drugs, crime. (A lot of men get sucked into these, and most of them have immense pressure from their brothers.)

Actually, that 53% figure comes from one study in Delhi. Those were all the rape accusations turned down before they got to court by the women themselves. That means they could have been pressured to turn them down, too scared to do the trial, or they gave up on it. The actual figure is more like 10-20%, which is still pretty big.
/r/MensRights19/05/21 02:50 PM

Even though many accusations are false, being falsely accused is pretty rare. Just like how getting stuck by lightning and then dying is pretty common, but dying from a lightning strike is extremely rare.
/r/MensRights19/05/21 01:57 AM
1

Interesting. But that study is talking about all accusations that were dropped before they reached the court. That could mean that the woman dropped it from being pressured, embarrassment, or fear. A large number of those dropped cases are probably false, but the actual number is probably more like 15-30% if you adjust for those reasons. Also, this is just for the city of Delhi. In rural India, rape is much more common because Delhi is a more secular and educated place.

I know, but they are not too common. There are many places of India that still blame the victim of a rape. False accusations happen, but they are not as common as you may believe. Also, yes a lot of women in India are physically abused by men. About 1/3 women in India face domestic violence. To add on top of that, most Indian women only marry once, and marrying twice is taboo, so if you get stuck with a crazy guy, you're in trouble. From what sources I could find, about 50% of men experienced em…

First of all, in many agricultural societies, there is no such thing as the "breadwinner". Both men and women work the fields about equally, but it is the man's jobs the manage the finances and buy stuff. In non-agricultural societies, the breadwinner is the man 90% of the time. For comparison, its about 60% of the time in the USA.

Just to point this out: Some might say this bias comes from "Modern day feminism" trying to boost girls grades, and although some of it might be so, the real reason is that There have always been more female teachers Boys generally have more expectations on them (Even if it is subtle The real way to combat this is to get more male teachers in schools.

Interesting but kind of a dumb post. If there was demand for a larger men's clothing section, then companies would obviously do it. Companies don't want to waste money on high quality men's clothes when the majority of men won't even buy them. Same goes for women's pockets. Women's pockets are very small because a lot of women just use bags or purses, so companies won't waste money selling two different pocket sizes.

I am actually fine with programs encouraging women into STEM. STEM subjects, particularly computer science, will be in high demand in the future. Although women aren't barred from entering STEM, they are not encouraged into as much as men. Most men get their encouragement from other male friends, and men are much more likely to major in subjects like computer science. Idk but, sometimes there will be a post on r/TwoXChromosomes that talks about a legit women's issue (Not some mansplaining made up one), and posters on this sub will try to find some men's issue to counter it. Here's my take. Honestly, I don't have a problem with actual women's rights activism where it is needed. It is just third wave feminism that is bad. I think MRAs should say "I am against 3rd wave feminism and SJWs" instead of "I am against feminism and women's rights", because that gives the wrong image. It also encourages actual misogynists into this movement, which taints its image further.

No, it is that feminists only focused on the issues negative to women in traditional gender roles. The "Patriarchy" theory that traditional gender roles only were bad for women. I am not saying feminism helps men. I think that feminists should realize that men face problems too and that society doesn't purely benefit men. I think MRA's have to be more open to women's rights in general. Not radical feminism, but just women's issues.

Why traditional gender roles? They seem pretty restrictive. I agree with your stance on BLM though.

woke does not equal left or progressive. I would say the woke are quite not political. The woke crowd is just trying to fit in to be cool. I doubt they actually care about racism. They like playing into the victim mentality to "be cool". But believe me, racism right now is far less than it was in the 60s. I would like this victim mentality to stop. I think woke culture actually creates a false sense of danger in conservatives which turns them into radicals. Most Americans aren't woke and most ar…

The alt-right, white supremacy, and Qanon? Woke culture is pretty silly but conservative has a lot of crazy things. Besides, I think improvement is always better than staying how you are. I am not that happy with the conservatism on the sub. I think it holds us back.

Woke culture is not actual progressivism. It is extremism. Saying woke culture is liberalism is like saying the alt-right is conservatism. They are extreme ends.

Bruh what? The old model led to problems with men and women. Most of men's issues stem from the old model if you give it thought. It is just that feminists want to take away the parts of the old model for women(Which is good), but not for men. The old model is the cause of a lot of men's issues. We should make sure nobody has privilege. The old model was bad for men and women. This is why I like progressivism.

It does seem really overexaggerated and everybody does get harassed in online games to a similar extent. The only thing is that women get more creepy comments. Regardless, this post is kind is not relevant to men's issues.

I know, but the women have the most influence over the next generation, so they they technically "designed" them. Correct me if I'm wrong. I think this was supposed to be interpreted in a metaphorical way, not a literal.

I am going to take a wild guess, but back in the day, women were often the ones that kept the family together(Especially children). I think it means that women used to be the ones that raised the people that made a difference. Just my interpretation though.

We should be pro women and pro men. It is wrong to be pro women and anti men. Pro men is not anti women. Pro women is not anti men. We must make sure everyone understand this.

Interesting. Thank you for opening my eyes into this issue. I will read more about it. It is a different kind of oppression both genders face. Men have their lives in danger while women have their quality of life taken away.

No. They surely are oppressively to men, but they are more to women. Women should not appear in the streets without a blood relative or wearing a burqa. Women should not wear high-heeled shoes as no man should hear a woman's footsteps lest it excite him. Women must not speak loudly in public as no stranger should hear a woman's voice. All ground and first-floor residential windows should be painted over or screened to prevent women from being visible from the street. Photographing, filming and d…

But they are under the Taliban. Women tend to be given less opportunity in any religious fundamentalist culture.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taliban_treatment_of_women She has firsthand experience of the culture their. How about you read this article. I like the Mens rights movement, but denying women are oppressed in some places is not a very good idea. Women were not allowed to get education after the age of 8. Also they forced marriages for girls under the age of 16. Women couldn't even talk loudly in public. The list goes on. The Taliban is a sick fundamentalist group, and Malala is not a sexist. She…

Best comment here. If both genders are equally affected(Or close to that), it is better to fight for the rights of all humans.

Come on, I know South Asia. I know religious fundamentalism there, Hindu and Muslim. South Asia is notorious for being a bad area for women, especially North India and Pakistan. The Taliban actually barred all girls schools to be shut down. Many boys also quit school, but girls were seriously oppressed by the Taliban. Boys and girls were oppressed, but you can't deny girls took the brunt of it. Malala is truly a hero. I encourage you to read her book, it was pretty insightful.

Yours might have been. But I think not all of them are like that. Idk, I never have worked in a woman-dominated area, so maybe what you are right. Still, the video isn't an very unrealistic scenario. There are sexist fools on both genders from what I have experienced. The video is pretty unrealistic, sure, but workplace discrimination happens to both genders. You can't attribute it to any gender. The video itself has a good moral, "value people based on their accomplishment, not their gender". T…

You can't stereotype any gender like that. Neither scenario makes much sense. Even though, most of his videos are unrealistic, they usually still have a pretty good moral.

Idk. Some of his videos are pretty cringe. He also has some good videos supporting Men too. I mean, most of the videos have a good moral. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwsXwranj0w Here's one that teaches men to avoid manipulative women.

That's a good point. I think they haven't ever heard of a women on man case, because Women are much more timid in India to do almost anything outside the house The sheer amount of men on women cases overshadows it I don't agree with them speaking out against gender neutral laws still. Still, a ton of progress needs to be made in India and the rest of the 3rd world.

In poorer countries, most feminists are good. There are countries where women face a lot of issues like in India, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Iran, All of the African countries etc. I agree though, the radical feminists are quite prevalent in the west. I think the people who fight for women's issues should call them selves "women's rights advocates" or something like that instead of labeling themselves a feminist.
/r/MensRights03/03/21 05:50 AM

Both are good I would say. But radical forms of both often get more coverage, so they both look bad. Still MRA still gets more hate.
/r/MensRights27/02/21 05:06 PM

It's not that we don't need MRA in India, we need a lot more feminism than in the west, because women are seriously disadvantaged in rural India. Many people consider having a daughter as a burden and a son as a gift. There is heavy anti-woman prejudice in India. So we need both in India.
/r/MensRights24/02/21 07:00 PM

Sure. But just because some crazy pink haired college kid labelled all mean as bad, doesn't mean all feminists think this way. These crazy ones get all the attention and hold behind the women's rights around the world by overshadowing real feminists. It is okay to care only about men's issues because you are a man, but it is not okay to label all women's rights advocates as the crazy pink haired feminist.

I don't agree with the crazy radical feminist in the west that pretend men don't have any issues whatsoever, but you can be both at the same time. I can see you only want to talk about men's issues since you are a man, and that is fine with me. We can't label all feminist as radicals though. There are many in countries where women face oppression, and we need them. A good example is Malala from Pakistan, who fought for girls rights. I agree with you that the radical feminism agenda does not bene…

NO that's not the definition of feminism. Feminism is basically the female version of men's rights. Men and women face issues, and women are certainly oppressed in many countries. Men definitely do face issues around the world, and they probably face more issues than women in the West. You can be both at the same time.

Idk about supremacy, but definitely some people obsess about everything black. I get how they were oppressed back then and still are in some ways now, but we don't need to segregate like some people do.

I don't get it with this "Black women do this", "Black women do that". That only separates black people from other races more!!! Just do, people do this, people do that. We don't need a separate SEGREGRATED category for black people.

I think Instagram and Tik-tok have ruined young girls' self esteem more than Barbie. Barbie was a toy for little kids, and they hardly would have notice the subtle stereotyping, just like old Disney movies. When older girls and even women use Instagram and Tik-tok, they see these celebrities that are shoving these "perfect" pictures of them down their throats. That's what ruins peoples' self esteem. Young men have to face the stereotype of manning-up and being strong, like he-man basically.
/r/AntiFeminists09/12/20 04:24 PM

Well fair enough. I mean, it depends on the person. If you are a naturally helpful human being, then I guess you would want to help everybody. I have a question, if a man was filling the bottle, would you have helped him? Because we are fighting for gender equality. We should help men and women, not show women that men didn't get helped. When you discriminate, that just contributes more to the problem, and angry feminists will think you are a discriminate biased person.

This sub is mainly against Western feminists, who pretend like women are heavily oppressed in the west in a patriarchy. Basically, this sub is against people who believe that western society is oppressing women like Shari'ah. We need women's rights advocates in societies where women are oppressed, like in the middle east. This sub is against western feminists. Just because women face problems in other parts of the world doesn't mean we shouldn't stop men's problems in the west.
/r/AntiFeminists09/12/20 04:07 AM

Why are you proud of this. I know hardly anybody would help a many in this situation, but not helping people in need is not the way to counter people not getting helped. We should help men, not help women. I know it is unfair, but helping that women out would have been kinder than doing nothing. Sometimes it is better to be kind that fair. We should make sure people help men, not not helping women.
/r/AntiFeminists09/12/20 04:02 AM

In other words: I use the fact that I am female to pretend I am not what I am while admitting I am that.

Even in Nigeria, a 3rd world country where male privilege probably does exist, the young boys there are discriminated against. Why do people pretend men don't have problems in the developed West right?

100% in countries where women are opressed, like Saudi and Russia. In America, we should be working towards gender equality, which means fixing issues plaguing men and women. Men and women do have problems in society and we should work on fixing problems for both genders, not just for women.

This is the problem with many people. You don't need the perfect skin with a perfectly shaped body with all the right proportions, but for some reason, many people consider having a healthy weight and decent skin an "Unrealistic expectation".
