I started with lifting free weights in my room. I have very serious depression (at age 17 I drove a car into a concrete wall tried to kill myself). On bad days I have to stop lifting and I lay down and cry for no reason (yes I finish my damn sets after this BS). I interviewed there. it was the first place to ask me a lot of non-tech questions. I wrote some code in c++ and the guy clearly did not know c++. he also misread a tech question and failed to clarify when I told him this was very simple. the other guys were all smart. One was a real asshole, but smart. developer salary did not seem that low.
