I don't know, I can't tell if they've sensed my presence. I don't really think about that I just go.

Ask them out faster. Don't waste time texting.

It sounds like you're not a priority to her.

Of course, the specific wording doesn't matter so much. No problem.

I guess I would say something like "Hey, I like hanging out with you, but you're making it difficult to make plans. If you want to see each other again let me know, if not that's fine too." and then don't think about it anymore. People make time for what they care about, so maybe she's just not that into you. It sucks, flakiness is very annoying.

For real. More people need to be saying this.

Hahaha. Lol they probably would have forgot. The idea was if this guy is having trouble approaching, just asking for the time and leaving is a way to exposure yourself to speaking to strangers in public.

Reminds me of this quote: " If you want to be in the top 1% of a particular domain, then you can’t take your cues from and follow the social norms of 99% of people. This is harder than it sounds. We are wired to imitate. The further you want to climb, the more carefully you need to construct your tribe. " -James Clear

I think asking for the time is fine. Just say your phone died. But something I did after I asked a bunch of people for the time was I asked for directions, because that was a step forward because the conversation is slightly longer. For example "Do you know where the apple store is?" if it's at a mall. Or something like "Do you know where the gym/library is?" if it's on a college campus. From there you can ask for directions, but then give them a compliment as you leave. From there I just jumped…

Yeah I think laughing more than usual is what a lot of people do when they're nervous. Thanks for the compliment. I wouldn't worry about the stats though, I mainly put them so people know I didn't just make these ideas up out of nowhere. My aim was to be more credible, not objectify everything.

Thanks. I'll do 5-10 instead of 1-2 when I go out now. I want to learn faster.

Thanks for the advice! I usually open with "Excuse me, hey, I thought you were cute and I wanted to meet you." Sometimes I'll add "This is kind of random, ..." or I'll introduce myself before I tell them they're cute.

I'd rather risk getting arrested than live my life as a bitch. If saying "Hi, I thought you were cute, I wanted to talk to you." in a respectful way is grounds for getting arrested then lock me up. It'll make a fun story later because something that ridiculous has an extremely low chance of occurring.

Good for you. But yeah you do have a point, you can't overcome anxieties without putting in a lot of volume. Some days it feels like there's just literally no girls around to approach, but that could be me making excuses. I'm sure there are people who approach much more than me. I think ratios are probably different for everybody because there's so many other variables involved.

(I have the same sticking point so take my advice with a grain of salt) Maybe you could just direct the conversation to hanging out again, and then get her number. Then ask her on a date. In my mind at least, that's like a half-way point between making out with her at the bar and leaving with nothing.

The part I have trouble understanding is, wouldn't my expressing of my needs come across as needy to the girl or woman in question I'm talking with? I'm not sure, but my guess is it matters how you express your needs. "I want to have sex with you." Not needy. "I NEED you to have sex with me today." Very needy. Your tone of voice and body language go into it too I think. Overall, I'm having trouble understanding how much of expressing myself intimately and emotionally to women, is too much? I t…

Okay, thanks for the advice. That's why I got back out of line and asked if she'd still be there, but I absolutely could have done more. For real I was lowkey pissed. The line wasn't even that long, they just took forever on each person. Oh well, at least I learned from it.

I used to be pretty socially awkward, but hanging out with people on a regular basis helps your social skills a lot. Now I feel like I have better than average social skills. It's kind of like an upwards spiral. The more hang out with people, the better your social skills get, the easier it is to hang out with more people. I'm introverted too. One thing that helped was going to dance classes. That way it wasn't expected I talk the whole time, but I had a reliable weekly thing to talk to new peop…

You should make your intentions clear, she should know you want to have sex with her. Saying something like "I think you're cute, we should go on a date some time." would make your intentions clear.

I don't know you so I don't know. Try what you haven't tried. Talk to a therapist. Hire a dating coach. Read a book like Models. Ask your friends. Go out and approach a bunch of girls. You'll learn something. No one is going to hold your hand.

“Ok, I am going with friends and will have fun, I don’t have any problems, everything is fine.” I mean that's pretty much how I try to think when I'm out. I don't think it's bullshit. I think you can have fun almost whenever you feel like it, sure not every joke you say is going to make someone laugh, but you can say things that make you laugh and do things that are fun for you.

Oh okay, didn't mean to sound harsh. Glad you're working on this stuff, I feel like a lot of people don't. I think the main thing to fix is confidence or mindset. I know that sounds super vague, but really it doesn't matter what you say. It's all about how you say it. Some of the things you said I think were funny, it just sounds like you judged yourself as weird and bailed on them as soon as you possibly could. I think you cared about impressing her a little too much, not every single thing you…

I was trying to be credible, but I'll admit I can see how it comes across as bragging. I used to be someone who had never kissed a girl or been on a date. Everybody has. That's why I included the last paragraph, what helped was working on my confidence and self esteem. The emotional things. Studying other topics that people like to write about here made only a small difference.

It sounds like you have social anxiety. I used to struggle with it too, what helped the most was just being social as much as possible. I talked to people in every class. Even if I wasn't feeling it one day, I'd try to just say one sentence. I also joined some clubs to have more time to be social. Any "practice" helps. You can also do things like listen to comedians via podcasts or talk about your day to yourself. It's what people who are good at improv are able to do, have a conversation and ju…

You're afraid because you really value losing this girl. The only way to get rid of that fear is to not loser her, or not care about losing her. The only way you can not lose her is if you ask her out and she says yes. If you don't set a romantic/sexual precedent in your relationship quickly, she'll assume you're a friend. Then when you ask her out and try to make the relationship romantic, it will probably be weird. It'll be weird because she's see's you as a friend, and now all of a sudden the…

Yeah a bar is fine too. For me, the more fun stuff I can fit into the date, the better they seem to go. You just have to get creative and make due with what opportunities you have. Maybe start asking people who live around you what they do for fun.

Progressive Desensitization. Start with what you're barely comfortable with, and slowly push yourself so you don't have such a strong reaction. For example: Walk around a crowded area for 30 minutes every day for a week. Ask 5 people for the time every day for a week. Ask 5 girls for the time every day for a week. Ask 10 girls for directions. Ask 10 girls for directions and give them a compliment as you leave. Approach 10 girls and say you think they're cute and you wanted to meet them. There's …

outdoorsy type stuff like hiking and going to music festivals Join a club or group that does these things and show up extremely consistently. Then you'll meet people. Talk as much as you can, and slowly you get better at it until you have better social skills than the average college student.

Determine it for yourself, don't look to some stranger on the internet to tell you if what you're doing is right.

When you say "talking", do you mean conversation over text, or talking in person? I like to only use texting to set up times and locations for when we're going to meet. If I have to send more than 3 texts a day to someone it's fucking annoying. I used to hang out with a girl who only texted back every 12 hours to 2 days, it was great. I wouldn't look too into texting. Save whatever you want to talk about for in person.

There is no how, you just do it, even it means other people might make fun of you or think you're crazy. It helps if you have a clear goal you want to achieve, like gaining 20 lb of muscle for example. Then you "put yourself first" by saying no to anything that interferes with that goal.

Just be honest and tell her you want to date her. You already know that though. Trying to avoid rejection just makes it more likely you'll be rejected, or won't have a great relationship.

When it comes to loud music, I've been told to just be more physical off the bat. In general I just try to stay to quieter areas though. I just say "Hows it going? i just want a girl that listens to me when I'm at my Lowest, and tbh I don't have the greatest mental health ik, so now I'm looking for a gf, but 1st can't seem to find a fitting one You sound kind of needy, but I think a lot of 16 year olds are. I know I was needy when I was 16, what helped me was being social as much as I possibly could, and also going to the gym very consistently. Yeah, I've been going out solo lately so haven't really regretted any conversations. Going out solo is harder for me, but at least I'm more focused. I don't have anyone there to distract me. If you're bored talking to a girl you approached you can always just try to push it forward, polarize it and make it interesting. Or you can tell them "Have a nice night" and leave.

I usually save something in parenthesis next to their name to remember them by. Like where we met, or just something memorable about them like one of their hobbies they talked about. If I really care I also take a screenshot of the contact page, photos get saved with a timestamp so I can just go through my gallery and see when the screenshot was taken, hence when I met them.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah I'll try doing something else than holding hands, I suppose rubbing or massaging their back like you suggested. Be social throughout the day every day, then you won't feel like a social retard. Then start small. Ask girls for the time, then girls for directions, then give random compliments, etc. and work your way up to being able to comfortable do a full on approach.

I approach them and say "Hi, I'm Andrew shake their hand I thought you were cute and wanted to meet you." Then just have a casual conversation about something. Usually it's about our majors or classes or a club because I'm in college. Then I say something like "Let's go grab a quick coffee" and start walking and they join me. I don't take their hand. I don't really escalate much on the instant dates other than a hug at the end. Near the end of the instant date I'll say something like "We should …

Yes, it's most likely something I'm doing not something they're doing. I just don't know what it is I'm doing wrong. If they set up a date with me they always come. /r/seduction19/09/19 08:44 PM

Same. Most of the numbers I've got have texted me saying they aren't interested in a relationship. Trying to go for more insta-dates now so I (hopefully) get less flaky numbers.

Awesome. I'll start inviting them to come to a bar or party then. The last girl I dated, it got started by me inviting her to a bar with some friends, so that makes more sense now. Thanks for the advice man!

I'm a college student too. Okay, I'll have to make sure I approach more when I'm at the bar then. Right now I'm approaching during the day because I almost always see 1 or 2 attractive girls just walking around campus. I've gotten 6 or so dates from that, but most of them lead nowhere. I will go to hold their hand and they get uncomfortable. Any advice for dates with girls you met during the day?
/r/seduction16/09/19 11:54 PM

I guess if you're meeting enough girls to replace her quickly, it makes sense. Like why put effort into this one girl if you know you can meet more this week. I guess it's up to you how much effort you want to put in and what kind of relationship you want. If you only want relationships where the girl puts in effort, I think it was a good move. It's like having very high standards, but you have to be a cool dude yourself to earn those standards. Just my thoughts.

I don't understand it either. I've heard it explained that it's like when you go to the store to try on clothes but don't buy anything. So that makes sense to me, some just use online for entertainment pretty much.

Nice job man. Where do you like to meet women? You said it happened over the weekend so I'm guessing a bar? Anything that helped you a lot on your journey?
/r/seduction16/09/19 11:35 PM

I don't think all women do absolutely nothing. I want to date a girl who is in good shape, so I go to the gym so I'm in good shape too. I value taking care of my body, so I only want to spend time with people who also value that. If I wanted to date a fat girl, I wouldn't go to the gym.

Good looking dudes don't always "fit in". You fit in with groups that have the same values as you. If you're a hardcore liberal you're never going to fully fit in with hardcore conservatives no matter how physically attractive you are. I think you're majorly oversimplifying women here. They don't all ONLY value looks. Some of them do, but you don't want to be with those women anyway. They value things like your personality, your confidence, your social life or social skills. Some might think a s…

Trying to avoid rejection is some nice guy shit. If you're polarizing for the women you want you're going to get rejected a lot, but you'll also find some women who fit your vibe really well, and they'll be really attracted to you.
/r/seduction16/09/19 07:10 PM

Obviously looks matter, but they don't do everything for you. You still have to approach, be able to hold a conversation, and lead. Looks is just one part of what makes you attractive, you should do your best in that department and then stop worrying about it.

People used to always say I was quiet too and needed to open up. What helped me was just talking with as many people as much as possible as often as possible. I think the difference is that if you're doing something because you're afraid to lose her, that's neediness. If you're doing something because you think it would be fun and you don't care if she stays or leaves, that's not neediness. I'm not great at this stuff yet, but I assume it comes down to your intentions.
/r/seduction17/07/19 07:37 PM

For real. The benefits are totally worth the time investment. I think more people should do it. For example, I've gotten MUCH more out of dance classes than doing cold approaches at the mall.

I think we're mostly on the same page, because I agree it's not needed. But it's an easy way to get better with women, and I don't know why more guys don't take advantage of it. I didn't like it at first, but after about a month or two I wasn't terrible at it so I liked it. It boosts my confidence because I've danced like shit so many times before I don't really care anymore.

Thank you. Just keep putting yourself out there man and talking to women. The more you meet, the higher chance of finding one who does like you. It's just a matter of time. Sure it's not necessary, I just wanted to share that it helped me a lot. I guess the only thing that is necessary is you make her feel good. Dancing isn't necessary, but it helps. Being good looking isn't necessary, but it helps. Having good social skills isn't necessary, but it helps. Dancing helps and as a bonus it's really easy to learn if you stick with it for a few months.

I know right. It's like the lite version of game.
/r/seduction14/07/19 05:47 AM
2

I understand. I think her making eye contact with her can help you to be sure though. At least that's how I see it. If I'm holding her in some way, and our faces are close and we're staring at each other, I take that as signals from her to go in for the kiss. If she rejects you just be like "Oh, sorry, I read that wrong."
/r/seduction14/07/19 03:14 AM

If we're walking I like to start by holding hands. Sometimes I literally just say "Let's hold hands" and grab her hand. If we're sitting I just lean against her a slight bit so our shoulders are touching. You can also touch your thigh to hers if you are sitting on a couch or something like that. (With sitting I think it's also good to make strong eye contact. Not necessarily the entire time you speak with her, but what you don't want to do is stare straight ahead. If you're talking to her, you s…

Tinder takes time to set up your profile and bio, and it takes time every day to swipe. Time that could be spent doing something else. Approaching a girl in real life is also easy and also takes very little time. If you approach in a polarizing way, you can have a girl very interested in you in a few minutes.

Not 100% of them. Some could be there to just take pictures, sure. But there's a good chance others are there to meet an attractive man.

It's partly a numbers game no matter where you try to meet women. Let's say you and a girl from Tinder plan to meet up, but then that same day her ex-boyfriend texts her and now she doesn't want to meet you. You could do everything right, and be meeting girls who want to be approached, but there are always a lot of factors out of your control. But in person you have much more control over some of those factors. You can make eye contact, speak loudly and clearly, have a conversation, talk to girl…

Fair point. I should have said "Why do you care about the opinion the room has of you more than the opinion you have of yourself?"

Personally, I think I'm better off coming up with my own thing to say. I think trying to memorize someone else's response shows a lack of confidence.

Exactly! After going to bars alone to cold approach, things like joking around with coworkers is too easy.

Maybe it's kind of like that thing Mark Manson says, "The point of self-help is to not need self-help". If this subreddit gave stellar advice and everyone who took it became fantastic with women, there would be no reason for them to stay.

Matching with someone on Tinder doesn't necessarily mean they are interested in meeting you. With Tinder you have the chance of matching with a girl who just uses the app for entertainment. With cold approach you're only "risking" the opinion of a bunch of strangers. Personally, I don't really care what a random stranger thinks about me.

If there in a club or bar, there's a pretty high chance they are there to meet a guy, or at least someone cool. Why else would you go to a place that has expensive drinks, and loud, potentially shitty music? If someone wanted to get drunk and listen to music with friends they could just stay home and save money. Also, not all women on Tinder are on there to actually meet a guy. Some are just on there to be entertained by guys. It's like going to a store and trying on clothes without the intent…

"Excuse me, this is kind of random, but I thought you were cute and I wanted to meet you." In my experience, maybe like 10% straight up ignore me, 20% get really uncomfortable and leave, 20% stay (but it's on you to carry the conversation), and 50% have a boyfriend/husband (those are usually the most friendly). The mall was good for helping me get over AA because you can start small and just ask for directions and stuff and then work your way up to a full approach. I've gotten numbers from the m…

I'm also struggling with this. Here's what I'm trying: I spent like 10 minutes and wrote down every place I could think of that would have women to meet. One by one, I visit the places on the list. I keep track of when I go, how long I stay, and how many attractive women I could approach. Sometimes I type that stuff down, other times I keep in it my head. I've found pretty much anywhere you go will have at least one attractive woman you can approach. But some places are much better than others, …

No problem. Malls at the right time of day and Target are the only other places I've noticed during the day seem to have a lot of girls.

I did it in two places at first, the mall and a college campus. The mall was basically dead, the campus was much better. But I think the time of day matters a lot. Maybe on the weekend the opposite will be true. I started just by going to places I though girls would be, and just wandering around for a few minutes counting how many attractive girls there were in my head. If you just write the day, time, and location and do that you can figure out the best spots. It also helps a little with anxiet…

Have you read "Models" by Mark Manson? That book can help you figure out what mistakes you might be making. It helps you know what to do an know what "hints" to look for. It helped me. If you don't want to spend money you can just get some ideas by checking out his blog, or going to waybackmachine.org and checking out his older blogs postmasculine.com and practicalpickup.com.

Pretty quickly, usually after we talk about maybe two different subjects. Definitely less than 5 minutes, probably 2 minutes or less each time. Not sure if I should go longer because this is during the day.

Thanks! I've been going with "Hey, this is kind of random, but I thought you were cute and I wanted to meet you." Then ask a question or do a cold read. After talking about ~2 different topics I go with "You seem cool, we should get ice cream some time." and ask for her number.

Yeah, I've heard people say a lot it is a numbers game. So a certain percentage will just reject you immediately, some will reject you when you ask for the number, some will reject you when you ask for a date, etc. Thanks for the support!

Thanks! I just said that because I've read getting a number doesn't necessarily mean much. It's easier for a girl to just give out her number and not text back than reject you outright. So I didn't have many external results, but had a lot of internal results because I learned.

Wow thousands, that's incredible. I wouldn't say any of the women I approached were ugly, just some of them were more attractive than others. I can't wait around all day for "9s" or "10s" to show up, like you said.

Well when I asked a girl to prom the first time, I brought flowers to give her (not roses). The second time I made a sign. It was pretty generic, no puns or anything, because I didn't know her that well. Each year I asked them in the parking lot, they both said yes. I just said "Hey X, will you go to prom with me?" But also, both times they knew it was coming. My first year I got lucky and her friend suggested I ask her. My second year I told the girl's friend I was thinking about asking her, …

Got it. A relationship is a lot harder than jumping from on girl to another. So that's why they say you learn more in a relationship. Just don’t be a faggot and lose self respect just so you can stay with her. Stay non-needy by being willing to end it and working on myself in the meantime. I think I understand, thank you.

I just focused on trying to build a social circle and wound up meeting the girl I'm seeing. It is probably partly luck, but what I focused on what finding fun things to do and inviting people to those fun things. Providing value and all that. I've just been focused on inviting people to as much as possible, and providing as much value as I can. If I go to a party, I always bring drinks, food, or new cool people. It sounds kind of business-y, but that is what worked for me. I used to eat every me…

From reading your messages, it sounds like she is waiting on you to set up a more specific date. If it were me, I would ask if she wanted to get sushi at [insert sushi place near you] at 6pm [Or pick a time between 6-9]. Then if she can't make it, ask her out again in a day or two. Then if still nothing, again in maybe 2 to 4 days. If nothing after that I would move on.

It's true, meeting a bunch of men won't directly help you get a girlfriend. But, those men could have other friends, some of which could be women you might want to meet. Sure, a lot of them might not, but that is where the luck part comes in. You have to meet a lot of people to find the few that you really vibe with. I also believe people with overbooked social lives probably got that way by not being too picky with the people they decide to befriend.

Try to get your validation from internal sources rather than external (easier said than done). Focus on being more confident and a better communicator, and eventually the results will follow. Focus on the process (as others have said).

Only go to school 2 times a week? What do you do on the other days? I'm still looking for answers myself in this area, but if you are often eating and studying with girls maybe you can just make friends with them and build your social circle. Then invite them to parties/social events or try to get them to invite you to parties/social events. Then at those places approach girls you don't know and be very upfront about your intentions. That way if it doesn't work out with those girls you still hav…
