So I did 11 approaches today, some went well, some didn't.

3 Didn't stop walking (One was in a hurry, the others were uncomfortable.)

1 I had a short conversation but then she left.

4 Said they had a boyfriend.

3 Gave me their number.

2 of them texted back, but one stopped replying and the other had an excuse when I asked her on a date. So no new dates yet, but having more girls text back form cold approach is a step forward.

Today I was focusing on being calm and having a normal conversation. Emphasis on BEING CALM. I think that helped a lot because if the girl didn't reject me right away, there was a really good chance I could have a longer conversation and get her number. That wasn't true the last couple of days.

Being calm also probably helped me speak slower. I've heard others say if you're nervous, the girl is going to sense that and be nervous too. Talking fast would be a pretty obvious way to show the girl you are nervous. I guess I will do a higher volume of approaches the next few days and see what happens.

Meditation seems to help too. For me, it helped me go from "Oh my god I'm so nervous and this girl knows it and is going to reject me" to "I'm nervous... But I don't really care, it doesn't mean anything... I'm just going to start talking and see what happens." It helped develop the self-awareness to know when I'm freaking out unnecessarily, and not letting that anxiety spiral out of control. On the other hand, the experience of just doing a few approaches probably helps a lot with anxiety too.

Thanks for reading, hopefully this was helpful for you.
