I only did one approach today, but I led it towards an instant date. I stopped a girl on the sidewalk and said “This is kind of random, but I thought you were cute, I wanted to meet you.” Then we had a short conversation about our majors, it also turned out we were from the same city. I said “I’m actually going to go to Starbucks real quick, you should come with me.” She said she was heading that way anyway, so she would walk with me.
I think that wasn’t a good sign, she didn’t actually want to go with me but it was convenient. Anyway, we get to Starbucks and the line is massive. I said I was going to get tea, and asked if she was going to get anything. She said no. Then she sat down at a table next to us. I got in line. I stood there for about a minute, then asked her if she was going to be here long, because the line looked like it might take a while. She said she would be here a long time.
Well, the line was ridiculous. 18 minutes later, I got to the front but they were out of what I wanted. By that point, the girl had left.
I think I should have just asked for her number when I saw the long line, what do you think?
