Lots of great advice elsewhere in this thread, namely don't be with her alone and always get everything in email (and back up your record offsite). Also be aware of whether you can legally record a conversation without telling her (single party consent) and make your phone's voice recorder easily accessible. Finally, assuming nothing changes, is the stress this lady causes you worth the job? Could you live with this for 1,2 or even 5 years? If so make peace and accept that this is your burden--a…

When breaking up, I explained to the last girl I dated that she was hard to socialize with in groups of people we knew and she just wasn't a very good conversationalist....she could not understand this. Her whole life it was enough for her to just exist with a sort of sour look on her face, but now that she's 28, she'd probably start learning soon...

I share your concern. The fascination with corporate superheroes seems a bit shallow and stunted.

Like many others here, I had plenty of relationships that could have been much longer( and likely turned to marriage) but none ever seemed worth it to me so I got out of them. MGTOW for me is just realizing that I was actually thinking clearly all those times when I got out. The concept is airtight and can only spread more widely...

I have a friend who also speculates that for many horse girls, some of their earliest vagina tingles come from rubbing up against the saddle, thus cementing the freakish bond even further. All young guys should know--avoid horse girls at all cost.

Spot on. If we could reduce all initial interactions to a asexual chat screen with no genders attached I think most women would find themselves alone with no one to talk to very quickly---without nice hair, scented perfume, boobs, ass, or whatever else to activate the primal brain, our higher lobes would find nothing worth pursuing.
/r/MGTOW23/02/18 09:45 PM

But then it becomes clear that women with the same positive characteristics a male friend would have just don't really exist...and once you pass that realization you can probably never go back.

You would think in a place like New York she would be so plain as to barely to merit a glance. I guess Instagram extends her dim light? I'm so glad I skipped spending my 20s in the city dealing with basic broads like this.

I am not adding anything new but want to comment separately for emphasis: delete her from your life and never allow any contact again! It will be so hard a few months or year from now when she texts you and all the happy (but none of the sad) memories come flooding back---but don't give an inch! Come back to this post, read the responses, and remember the pain until you feel absolutely nothing for her (and don't feel bad if it takes a while). Good luck man, just don't give in! I know just what you are talking about where women, in a situation like being in bed where they feel safe from judgement, will euphemism their infidelity as they wear a sort of distant, calculating look and then let it pass like a leaf in the wind. Reptiles in human form! But we wouldn't be angry at a lizard for being itself--it is just difficult to fully accept sometimes.

Hey man, I am early 30s, really just starting to experience this. It feels like watching my friends continuously walking into the same haunted forest when I have the map that clearly and easily shows the way around. I've found so far that there's just nothing I can do, they are all going to make their own mistakes and hopefully learn in time. Sadly, I have had to cut back on time with a few of my best friends because their harpy wives always ruin it. It really sucks, but I guess it's inevitable?

youre right--total self control is impossible, but more self control is something that people can aspire to if they want. i would say that eating lunch is not an indulgence but eating 10 snickers probably is; jerking off to your thoughts is not really much of an unneccesary indulgence but watching a VR bukakke fest in HD might be. in any case, everyone should go his own way and find what is best for him.

If I could add my two cents---I agree no fap can get a bit shrill, and I think to stop looking at porn because you want to devote more energy to real women is a fool's game. But the concept of conquering one's own desires and total self-control is a noble one, and something that can be seen in any number of ancient philosophies or value systems. So, I don't want to say everyone MUST do it, but I think it's good to be aware of our indulgences and how we do or don't use our will for self-control. …

Good question, I've never thought of this. It seems like back in the day people would date a bit, then lock it down or split. Either expectations lessened or marriage was fully revealed to be bullshit, hard to say. Now it really is like once you get on the girlfriend track, there's bascically no stops and no hopping off.

A few years ago, I was in a relationship where the girl was hot but just not fun or interesting to be around when we weren't fucking. I read an askmenover30 thread about how your wife/gf should be someone you would hang out with even if you could never have sex again, or if they were a dude would you be friends with them. I love this thread. I was expecting everyone to be shitting on OP for past mistakes, but instead everyone is very reasonable and accepting. It really blows to realize the true reality of our system, and have your eyes opened wider and wider to the fact that nothing is really what it seems, and what is commonly said or accepted is often the exact opposite of anything approximating the truth. What an odd situation. Her "protest for art" looks exactly like her protests against alleged assault...if all protests are the same, then none of them really matter. To mention trump in all of this seems even more ridiculous--- basically nothing has changed in terms of art since 2016. She's probably thinking " I KNEW he was a homo/recluse/weirdo!" Yet it's her 4th rejection this week--they cannot process or understand rejection and always attribute it to something else. Good for you knowing your value and staying the course. I got a ride from my coworker to look at some storage space she had--due to her untrained dogs, her car smelled like a horse barn and dirtied my clothes. Her house was strewn with toes and smelled again like wet dogs. Her foyer was littered with socks, various household items, and used packaging. She manages to put on makeup every day yet can't seem to pick up after herself. She's 45 and extremely single...and she has also called me gay before! We ALL have seen this girl, or one of the millions like her before. Kind of cute, maybe nice butt or boobs, simple Ohio demeanor. i dont really want to take the side of marx here but he was never part of the frankfurt school himself and revolutionary zeal is not unique to marxism. im just saying that it's very easy to take a part of someone's lifetime of work and make it one's identity- but if i was the original thinker i would be pissed at people expropriating my ideas for bullshit after i was dead. i mean maybe marx would have been cool with transgender futanari but i doubt it...then again i have no idea.

But i mean read it themselves--similar to what you mention many have only heard about the constitution from teachers yet never read it themselves. And we can probably agree that to truly understand something one must make contact with it personally. Adam smith is another example, a lot of people think he's just the "invisible hand" guy but there is a lot more nuance and depth to his work. Yet people call thenselves supporters without really knowing what they are supporting.

The last girl I dated (before i went MGTOW) I won over by being her "friend". I met her at a bar, she seemed exotic, and she mentioned several times that she had a boyfriend. No problem I thought, it would be interesting just to hear about her different life and background--when I messaged her the next day I emphasized that it would be fun to be friends with her. To be honest I don't know if I was fooling myself or really believed that any woman could be interesting enough to be a good friend. W…

Excellent point. I used to work at a big company in a big US city and I would see them post the jobs they were getting h1b visas for--shit like GIS analyst. I did not believe for a moment that they couldn't find a us citizen in that city that could be a GIS analyst. And once you get a foreign guy in there the company basically owns them.

HR is universally bullshit. Apply around them whenever possible, and seek out direct access to the people who you will actually be working with as much as possible, especially if they are men. Good luck my friend! Don't let it get you down. When I was first applying to jobs with a grad degree I heard back from maybe 1/10, and it was 50 or so applications before I got an offer. And I was applying for jobs I was more than qualified for...

Just think of them and treat them like you would treat a crazy person on the street--aloof indifference, or amused indifference. It seems kind of cold, but it will keep you sane. Just pull an "okey dokey!" every time.

My mother never took my dad's name, never wore a wedding ring, constantly belittled my dad for not making enough ( despite us having a huge house and 1 car for each person in the house, trips abroad, etc), demanded a divorce, and decades later still cannot say a neutral thing about him...bitterest, most negative person I know. Meanwhile my dad is running out of new countries to visit because he has almost seen them all. Boomer women are incorrigible.

Women with interesting personalities don't show off their tits, even like this. Women with the best bodies (and nothing else)show off their tits as much as they can. I agree with others in this thread-globalized empowerment/identity politics culture is just too pervasive. You can find the same latte-sipping, high-waisted jeans wearing uptalkers ( or their equivalents) in every major city in the world. I think the best play would be to form a colony in the US interior---some place so uncool that womyn would never consider it, probably in a red state. Then build a land of farming, hard work, cooperation, and enterprise...I guess like a monastery?

Pussy is a drug. I had a lot of fun, spent a lot of money, and wasted a lot of time chasing it, using it, and losing it (over about 20 years of my life). I wonder what it's like in the hours after you propose to a woman. Does anything feel different? Do you feel any dread? Thanks man. I have also been pretty surprised to see the role "regular" citizens play in creating bureaucracy. It is often the havoc caused by some whiner who can't compromise or be flexible (or some asshole who keeps flagrantly violating reasonable rules) that results in a knee jerk, blanket policy, which only adds another layer of bullshit. For me it was realizing that the girl I was dating was never going to become interesting, as I foolishly expected she would. She was sexy and exotic but her whole personality was basically instagram, dumb memes from TV, and her meaningless paper pusher job. And then I realized that none of the women I had been with were ever that interesting or self aware, even the smartest ones. It was a bitter pill to swallow...but I wouldn't take it back for anything.

Oh definitely. Last girl I dated helped deplete my bank account real quick. Since getting detached from her I have a much more comfortable margin with basically no change in lifestyle. Great point. Vietnam vets were often drafted and then REVILED when they returned. A lot of the people who would be considered younger vets today chose to join, and it would be very difficult to argue that a huge number of them did not do so in large part because the military provides incredible traininag and benefits---aka stability. And then they get valorized, whereas the dudes who got forced into it got shit on. I wonder if in the 70s Vietnam vets got discounts at Kohls?

In the first paragraph this woman says women "reach out" to her when I think she means "contact". For some reason I find that people who use "reach out" in this way are not very aware of how they absorb and consume the ideas and language they are exposed to in every day life. When I first discovered Reddit, gonewild was like a constantly-producing gold mine. Goddamn, it was phenomenal! Now when I go there it is hard not to feel strange looking at the pouty lips, the sultry looks, and all the other shit that women tell themselves is sexy(the titty drop thing they all do is pretty bland, but I guess everyone loves it?). It just seems like a lot of bad acting now.

The secretary in my office is like this---has the most inefficient and complex ways of doing things yet cannot tell us (the people producing the actual product) how to do it her way. Brooklynite. Book junkie. Sarcasm at its best. On a constant quest for craft beers and live music. She sounds like a real delight. Let me guess: From some less "cool" place, loves The Alchemist, and drinks Blue Moon? Edit: It seems a lot of millennial girls are referring to themselves as "ladies" all the time. I agree with you that feminine energy can still be pleasant--that's probably just biology, but there's nothing wrong with that. If you continue to see this girl, let yourself enjoy the good feelings her presence/looks/scent bring you, just don't try to hold onto them at all. Treat her like a shooting star- delightful to observe, but worth thinking about only for the moment it is right in front of you. The "kicking kids out of the nest" is a fairly recent development, and very western. Living with your clan/tribe/family in one place over time is a great way to share labor and concentrate resources...But that doesn't fit very well with our modern consumer model.

Think of the hottest girl you ever got with--then think of all the reasons you are no longer with her. The nagging, the stupidity, the boredom, whatever. Imagine the decades of time and money you would have to put in to trying to give that kid a comfortable life. If youre in the USA, visualize hospital bills for any of that. Imagine you've bought a …

A bit over a mile. But I chose my job based on whether there was housing nearby, and my house so that I could get to my job. In my opinion, the concept of people living 10,20,30 miles or more from where they work doesn't make any sense. A lot of our system has forced things that way though, unfortunately. Edit to add: Why do we basically make it basically impossible for people to participate in the economy and society unless they own an expensive, space-hogging, 2 ton piece of machinery?

I am in my mid 30s and haven't had a car for maybe 10 years--and I don't live in an area with great transit. I just bike, walk, taxi/uber, or rent a car if need be. From the Bureau of Labor Statistics: Like workers of today, those living in 1915 lived in various types of housing. If you were alive in 1915, chances are you rented your house or apartment; the ratio of renters to homeowners was about 4 to 1 in 1920.23 In contrast, by 2004, 69 percent of American families owned rather than rented their residence, although that proportion slipped to 64 percent by the fourth quarter of 2015.24 The cost of a home in 1915 was about $3,200 ($75,600 in 2015 dollars),…

I imagine many of us get that longing feeling, every once and a while at least. What helps me is to realize that what I am longing for never really existed, in that moment I am remembering something I believed to be a possibility when the reality was, it wasn't. So it's sort of like mourning the loss of a future where you could fly and have limitless money and no restrictions whatsoever--a future that never existed. Great insights. The last girl I dated would be visibly pained on the rare occasion she would ask me a question about my life anytime I stopped carrying the conversation (which was generally asking about her mundane activities or ridiculous friends). For her, gritting her teeth to say "how are things going for you at your job?" was DEFINITELY work. She obviously could not care less and it meant 1-2 minutes when she wouldn't be able to talk about herself!

I asked this very thing to the last girl I dated, as I explained that she didn't have any interests, wasn't good at socializing with my friends or strangers (but she was hot and exotic, so her EZpussypass kicked in), didn't have any money, etc. Basically, she could not understand what I was talking about. She just didn't get it that each person in a relationship has to bring something to the table other than sex. I'd attempt to explain it more but in the end she was just dumb...and AWALT.

The Josei 7 article that pierced Mr A’s blinders asked its survey respondents what was hardest to bear about widowhood. It wasn’t, in fact, all fun and games. I think of a horse or elephant bred in captivity that has lived its whole life with a rope around its neck. After a while, you can basically just tie the rope to a little stake in the ground and the animal will graze only the area of the circle around the stake, because it believes that the rope is always the final limit. I think most men are the same--we grow up hearing these things, seeing them, and never really challenging them, until one day we do, and then the stake can never really hold us…

Once a benefit/subsidy is established, it is exceedingly difficult to remove it from peoples' entitled grasp. However, that same entitled group often has no problem limiting/preventing benefits for others (take pensions in the USA for example--for a certain set of people they are a birthright, for the rest of us born after about 1975 they aren't even a possibility). The only way to equalize things is to make the true costs of benefits/subsidies felt, and men going their own way is that cost maki…

I think this is actually a good sign for men's rights--when the powers that be resort to this type of blanket shaming-by-association it means that the thing they are trying to shame is in reality quite dangerous to them. If you can link an opposing person or idea to something universally reviled or ridiculed, you never have to actually address it. Lots examples of this in the US over the past year or so.

Many stumbles over the years, all quite clear in retrospect. One of the most impactful wasnt even that terrible, but really sent me on my way: I had moved very far to my gf's hometown-no job, no friends, just a bit of savings. She had her dream position there and was close to her family, but I was paying ALL our rent and cooking and cleaning while looking for jobs. After a few months it began to get clearer that I just wouldn't be able to find work in my field there, and I was running low on fun…

A few years ago I read a post on r/askmenover30 about how to decide if a certain woman was the right one for you (to marry, etc). The top answer was something like this: "If you had to spend the rest of your life with her, but know you could never have sex, would you? If she was a guy, would she be a guy you liked hanging out with and considered your friend?" Since I've been asking those questions I haven't found a single woman for whom I could say yes to either. I think women just can't assess value very well. More than once some friend's gf has tried to connect me with some friend of hers and it's never a woman I would even consider, or a woman I couldn't do way better than on my own. Maybe they see single = worthless, and so appropriate for their castoff friends? Who knows man, but I would stop even entertaining these offers.

No fap is about conquering your desires and behaviors. Mgtow is about escaping the dangers of interactions with women and living a life for yourself. It's hard to relearn everything about women, sex, etc, and porn could provide a refuge or distraction from some people. But if you have an urge for porn and conquer it, you are definitely going your own way.

First I think we will see more men appearing to be "less ambitious", but actually just focusing on immediate needs and quality of life---this will be bad for the general patterns of consumption which keep the whole scheme running. But how long for things to really swing back towards a more traditional set of gender roles? Good question, but it might take our entire generation. One day women WILL find the self-sufficient man the most attractive choice and change her behavior accordingly, but can …

Hey dude I had another comment under u/Silver-Noxx but as I think about it I have a few more suggestions: some zones allow guesthouses, some don't (often referred to as an Accessory Dwelling Unit). Make sure you know what defines a "dwelling unit" and what you can get away with (sometimes it is having a kitchen, sometimes it is having a full bathroom, etc) Some codes require you get permits for the entire building all at once in order to prevent the kind of piecemeal development which you propos…

Yeah man listen to this guy. Zoning and building codes can destroy an awesome project instantly and the people who write zoning are usually the worst. Before you build anywhere make sure you know: what the zoning is and what it allows what the enforcement of zoning is like in that community if there is any sort of amnesty ordinance (so if you build something and use it x years it becomes grandfathered) what rights may be grandfathered onto the property, what easements or plat notes exist Things …

I have always seen it like this: Western men, being domesticated like dogs, provide the easiest and most comfortable option for western women. I inadvertently created one of these a few years back when I recorded my girlfriend at the time shrieking at me during some sort of breakdown. Months after the break up I'd often start thinking I had made a mistake in leaving her, remembering only the good things. Actually hearing her voice yelling at me chased those thoughts away real quick. Highly effective

Great call--emphasizing her advanced age would be striking at a weak spot and keep her from imagining too many possibilities! Earlier in the night some drunk guy had asked jokingly (?) if she was my mother and I can't help but think that that put her on the defensive from the get go. And from then on out she was just trying to soothe her poor battered ego.
/r/MGTOW16/10/17 12:03 AM

Great call--bring in the offensive piece! Pussy is heroin, and women are heroin dealers. Once the addicts start breaking free of the drug, the dealers are terrified, so they do what they can to get the addicts hooked again. Because a (low level) heroin dealer who can't sell heroin anymore is probably a deadbeat who never developed a lot of other skills--much like post wall women.

I like what you've said here--choosing not to be consumers is one of the few choices we have in this life that can actually make a difference. And it's generally a choice that women never even consider making. I few years ago I moved in with a girl after years of living a simple life alone. Women are primed to blame you for their shortcomings. Your behavior doesn't fit their expectations? Something is wrong with you. This evening I went out with a female coworker, and declined to go dancing with her. She respondd with: "Are you gay or something?" Somone else on this subreddit made a very astute observation about this a few days ago--when women go through that phase of shaving their head or letting their bodies become doughy and unremarkable, in a lot of ways they are making their feminity invisible, even though for most of them it's the only essence they have. They choose to do it, yet complain about the results.

I applaud OP for bringing up some of the ideas he lists. Some people seem uncomfortable with the mention of capitalism, although a lot of that might be conflating the american economy with real capitalism or "capitalism" serving as a placeholder for american values. In any case, u/espresso85 isnt wrong-if all men went their own way our economic system would likely look very different, and it would probably have a lot more collaboration and less mindless consumption.

To be fair, I think American women sort of have it rough---they really have very little around which they can construct an identity. I imagine that back in the day, for a lot of women "being a woman" or "femininity" was a part of their identities, and the behaviors and duties that went along with that gave meaning to their lives. Since the various waves of feminism, however, all of that seems to have been washed away. Feminism effectively removed "being a woman" and "femininity" from the sphere …

You make a great observation OP--he didn't punish anyone for not licking diamonds out of his asshole, he just didn't help them. It wasn't a negative action as much as lack of positive action.
