Not weird at all. It has been like that around the world until the second half of the 20th century. Indians get shamed a lot for being backward but I get the idea that the men and women seem to want simple things. Change (for the worse) is inevitable given the current global climate. Lol. I don't mean to shame. I once watched this Bollywood campaign where the popular guys were trying to redefine masculinity because it was toxic in India. Replacing the man in your life with the govt. doesn't make you strong and independent. If they got rid of alimony and affirmative action which would in fact be a step towards equal treatment of both genders, there would be no feminism. It would be a fine statement that women do not need a man's money and that they do not need govt. support to compete with men. I know an Indian guy with superb game. He has an amazing success rate in real life but he ALWAYS gets rejected by white women on dating sites.
