After trying to have children for a year and a half and we had an argument one night. During this argument, she stopped, looked at me with a cold face and said “I’m done with you and I do not want a child with you”. Bitch got what she deserved. Best decision of my life and it will be yours too

None of us are Superman. We have all had our highs and lows throughout this whole process. Me personally, I’m still experiencing them and I am over a year in. We are all here for you. You are a brother. If you need to, message me personally and I can be an ear for you to vent to. Stay strong

She desperately wanted a kid and she allowed it to consume her entire thought process. I was in no rush and for the most part I was willing to take the chances and wait.

We were having infertility issues for a year and a half that caused quite a wedge in our marriage. There were other problems but the issue of infertility was becoming a larger and larger concern. I pushed the button when in the middle of an argument my ex wife looked at me and said “I’m done with you and I do not want a child with you”. Shit hurt. Shattered my world for a while. I knew there was no coming back.

Brother Respectfully, what did you expect when entering into an “open marriage”? Someone is eventually gonna connect with someone on an emotional level We’re all here for you but brother, you almost set yourself up for this. My brief, short advice, officially divorce.

It was a toxic relationship to begin with. My poor mental health convinced me that “she was what I deserved”. Over the years, I finally developed the strength to leave. But what made me divorce? We were trying for a kid for a year and a half and I was the one at “fault”. I had medical issues that were slowing down the process. After a year and a half of trying, we had a big blow out one night. Yelling and screaming at one another she looked at me and said with a calm voice and a straight face “I…

I was experiencing the same thing! I divorced this past March and I found myself constantly wanting to talk to my ex wife. I have an apartment now and it’s just me myself and I. I’ve gotten back into console gaming, working out, cooking, long fitness walks (such as yourself) and making up for lost time with family and friends. We deserve this alone time and we deserve to enjoy it!

Bro I was in a very similar situation as you. I’m 29 and my ex is 30. We fought a lot like you guys do and slander was thrown from both sides. Believe me when I say GET OUT! The type of marriage your in is not healthy at all and you deserve better. Save yourself now before it’s too late!

I’m In a similar boat as you. I’m 29 and finalized my divorce in March. March, April and May I was fine with the loneliness. For some reason, June was hard. Here’s what I’m doing -If your close to family, drive over and see them. Spend time with them. I looked at my divorce as a second chance to catch up on lost time with family. I’m making this time right. engage in your old hobbies that you may of lost interest in while married. For me, collecting and reading comics, working out, video games a…

Hello Jeff, I am going to get a cat. You probably didnt see but i stated in another comment that although i desperately want a dog, a cat will be a better option due to me working long hours and driving an hour to and from work. So considering those factors, I figured a cat would be best due to their indepence. I am open but you hit the nail on the head, i have to catch myself sometimes from being too open. I do reach out to my counselor and she has helped GREATLY. I try to always own my shit, w…

Sounds like we were in very similar situations! I need to and started getting back into some positive hobbies. I am a huge office fan myself. Such a positive show! I need to watch it again! I will start journaling again to help with my healing. I have maintained my health but I do love getting the aggression and frustration out! I have started reading again but I need to commit to it more. I am. Looking at quotes for piano and boxing lessons. I am trying to get this second chance at life done ri…

I am very hard on myself. I did and still somewhat do look at it as a personal failure. Something I am trying to work through. I have my days where I really do enjoy the solitude! Just still adjusting. Big adjustment overall. I am sorry for what you went through.

I think that’s the hardest part bro. Just accepting the struggles and knowing they will come and go. I’m sorry you went through that but it seems you are in a much better place now! I’m fighting like hell man. Biggest emotional battle I have ever been in but I am beyond determined to beat this! I can’t fail because I know if I do, i May never fully recover.

I think you just hit the nail on the head my friend. Throughout the duration of my divorce, I was seeing a counselor. One thing I learned, I learned that my overall self value was so low that I actually thought the overall terrible marriage I was in, I deserved. Now that I’m actually living life for me and no one else, it’s a struggle but I’m telling myself it will be worth it in the end. I’ve been focusing on my health, reading more, spending more time with friend and family and the girlfriend.…

I appreciate your words brother I really do. I was going to be single but one thing fell into another and she’s honestly the most supportive person I ever met. I did tell myself, if it matters, if this relationship fails then I am done for a long time. This was more or less something I wanted to give a shot. I’m going to start journaling again. Continuing to work out and focus on my health. Engage in positive activities to promote positive mental health. I Just struggle sometimes on this journey…

Thank you brother. I’m refocusing now. A year prior to my divorce, I took my health into serious consideration and lost 80 pounds. I moved back to my hometown and have reconnected with my family. My now girlfriend, who was my best friend prior to this, has been incredibly supportive and saw how destructive my ex wife was to me. She’s an angel in all honesty. I’ve been reading (never was a reader prior), still working out as much as I can (at home and indoor workouts, public gyms not open yet due…

I work out 3-4 times a week at work usually. Public gyms aren’t open yet in my state due to covid I really want a dog, but I can’t due to the nature of my job (rather not say what it is, but it’s long hours). I was thinking of getting a cat. Independent but loving animals. Been seeing family and friends a lot. I have a girlfriend who has been very supportive throughout this journey (was my best friend prior) and she saw how destructive my ex was. Just struggling with being alone at night and off…
