Rihanna knew the type of person ASAP was. Beyoncé also knew about JayZ, as JayZ rapped about her reluctance to date him in “Excuse me Miss”. I'm not sure they're comparable in the same way in that Rhianna was a full grown woman when she started dating ASAP and Beyonce met JayZ when she was like 17 and they started dating a year or two afterwards. Did he groom her? Well he was about 30 already trying to date a teenager so I dunno, you tell me. However, Beyonce has no excuse now. Yada yada, fame a…

It's the way men are we're just finally able to have enough freedom to say , "No, I won't tolerate being treated that way". My mother, a boomer, told me how the sexual harassment of her first job was just "the way it was" very matter of fact like "what did you expect me to do? that's how men behaved" about it. Really set me up for a very rocky start to my life. I did not have high enough expectations of people around me because my mother and family on some level taught me not to.

Well said! I'll add I've also begun the habit of simply stopping watching a series. I use to feel obligated to "finish a story" but not anymore. This whole trying to be "edgy" is a damn bore.

I am not a fan of the amount of porn in everyday television. That's only to say, if I wanted to watch porn I would. I don't watch movies or television to see boobs and butt. I prefer when sex scenes were more insinuated than shown in movies. They roll into bed and the lights go out. I don't need or want to see celebrity ass. Thanks for the warning Bridgerton is in fact as bad as it looks.

I am in the habit of just skipping lots of their scenes because it's excessive and unnecessary.

If we unpickify women, we are unstoppable! I was unpickmeied when a woman asked me if knew what a narcissist was because the man I had dated reminded her so much of her ex husband. Forever grateful. It was a rude awakening for me.

it's like it's almost painful for a lot of people to use the "W" word aka woman and women It's our society's ageism against women in action.

I let all boyfriends and husbands treat me terribly - horrifically - until I didn’t. There was always that moment where I would wake up and say “Aw, fuck no with this shit”and leave. But I will say that most all of my life has been spent treating men famously while constantly being disappointed. Constantly, deeply, disappointed. I was that way for a long time too. We're told we need to do stuff to "keep a man" but it never worked. No matter how much I cleaned or cooked or loved him or was quiet …

Men only use honesty to further make your life even worse, so if there's any chance he's not a good man and only using you (hint: cheating would prove he's a piece of shit.) anything you say can and will be used against you by men. I've come to learn men who "don't like games" tend to play them the most. Same as "don't like drama" got the most of it in their lives.

I had some woman try to humble brag about having a grand baby and how her sons are married and all I could think in my head was, "with an asshole like you for a mother??? I feel bad for those women..." she's just real angry and not pleasant to be around.

That's a really good, overlooked one. I was raised by this kind of man so it's been something I've internalized in a way that's made my life harder by default. When I was younger I thought that was "normal" to discredit women for being women, even though I didn't agree with it I thought, "that's just how people are". Now, that I'm older I see it's not true, while also attracting and picking up on that energy more often now which is sometimes just leaves me exhausted.

If true, which I HOPE not, but if so.... any man monitoring your meals is an abusive pos. The fact he equates being motivated/disciplined to "how in shape someone is" equally as dumb as it sounds ignorant of biology. How the fuck does anyone get to 50 so pig headed? That's why part of me has a hard time believing these things are written by anyone other than greasy 20 year olds who have hardly touched a boob let alone ever been married.

That's so weird, I'm sorry you went through that. I also had a similar experience around 22 when a friend of a friend who so happened to be an elderly, fat alcoholic man became infatuated with me and told everyone how him and I went to the casino together on a date. I would have never agreed to be alone with that man for 5 minutes he was such a creep. After the "casino" story I drew the line with my friends at the time I never wanted to be around him ever again.

Oooof, now that's a doozy. Really bringing me back to my late teen/early 20s feelings. I think it's generally just how I was conditioned for sure. I know my grandmother tried to instill the fear in me I would "never get a husband" because "xyz" meanwhile, she divorced hers. The very first paragraph sounds like it's as man cosplaying some deranged fantasy. "supports all my dumb little dreams" sounds like a man talking about a woman imo. "sometimes we just look at each other and cry with joy" sounds like a load of shit. Honestly. I do not believe it's a real post.

I didn't dodge a bullet, I dodged a nuke. And I couldn't be happier for you!!! Tbf, society encourages us to overthink, too. To doubt ourselves. To question. To turn into an obsessive detective and figure out the truth. Society puts the onus on women to be understanding, to nurture, to be a helpmeet. We're told our value comes from being helpful, and if things aren't working out with a man, well, then we just need to work harder to understand him. This is so true and a lot of people get angry at…

Oh yeah. This thread got me thinking about a really scary incident that happened to me. I was meeting someone for coffee and they were in their car. They asked me to get in "for a minute." and since it was in public and I drove myself there, I went along with it. He proceeded to try to force me to kiss him, and put his hands all over me. I am deep down just too stubborn to allow them to take away my ability to appreciate simply living. I love this attitude + relate in my own way. The big change for my in my 30s is I give SOOOOO much less of a fuck. Just give yourself time, and keep working on that self love and I think you'll get there too. I have so much more genuine love and compassion for myself in my 30s than I think I was even capable of in my 20s.

Please bear in mind we live in a patriarchy. I say that because when we talk about "what the world wants of us", it's men. It's not the world. It's what men want of us and those men can go fuck themselves. It's up to us to remember, you are the only opinion that actually matters when it comes to your inherent worth and value. He claims he wants to help, but he is a self proclaimed narcissist if you're unfamiliar with him. Interesting character, but easy to see through over time. "how to make yourself a high value male" To be fair, there is a little overlap of the glossary between this sub and others. HVM is not an FDS original term. BUT that's still a red flag the guy is probably a red pill who negs so it's still wise to be hip to their games. I was very much socialized to believe that all women are catty and b*tchy, so for much of my life I had a hard time trusting them and forming close relationships with them. THIS!!!! Is so critical and important and I couldn't agree more and FDS has really helped me get over those hurdles I had with women at times that I hadn't quite been able to shed. We're all in this together and that makes the bonds we share have so much more potential to be richer and deeper.

They play chore chicken I've never heard it called that before I love it. He gets to relax his useless brain and she once again is drained of energy by assuming responsibility for these tasks. She expends more energy behind the scenes coming up with ways to motivate, encourage or leverage him into doing his fair share. I would rather be single than be any man child's maid ever again in my life. I will throw away your fucking dirty pots and pans if you leave them in my sink. I am done cleaning up…

Def gonna pile that onto the list of why I think facial pubes as I call them are gross. A huge thing is the hypocrisy that men are not expected to shave anything and we're expected to shave 80-95% of our body hair like wtf. If I gotta shave my legs and pits regularly (which I prefer when in a relationship, but the principle is the point.) I want a man who shaves his face regularly. I've gone so far as to date men who cannot grow facial hair.

Age gaps are disgusting. The men and pickmeishas who defend them should be ashamed of themselves. The silver lining for pickmeishas is many will hopefully grow out of it and see what a dumbass they were but for many it won't be until a scrote or two has knocked them up or worse. I know cause I've been there. I grew up in a conservative family, I was raised to make excuses at all costs for men and anyone in authority. And you know where it got me? Miserable. That's where.

A very fine example of reddit misogyny in mod teams that we discuss from time to time. I said something a little too feminist and it got me banned from some political sub can't remember which. It's annoying, this is the exact problem I have with men in general is they often simply refuse to listen. Men say things like their relationship got "stale and complacent" as if it has nothing to with them, how they're treating their spouse, if they're actually sharing in the mental load. My ex covert narc loved to hog the left passing lane specifically because it made me nervous. I expressed many, many times how much I did not like it but they would do it anyways. This sub is literally saving women from emotional and physical abuse. This sub as I understand it is a reaction to the very misogynistic platforms that have been encouraging abuse of women for years. Good one I recently read was a girl who posted on one of the relationship subs who got married to the only boy she ever dated waxing poetic about how his refusal to take her on dates wasn't the problem, her desire to feel wanted was the real problem and she ought to fix this by dating herself.... and I was like..."just no".

Reading some responses as to not derail anyone else, I wanted to say how grateful I am of my fathers/brothers mostly neutral stance in terms of body products. We didn't necessarily talk about bodily functions super openly as a family, but I don't recall outright disgust growing up at the idea of periods/tampons/pads. My mother was super thrilled when I got my period which felt so awkward and embarrassing at the time.

Men peak at 40? HAHA. They're not fooling anyone, anymore. For all the crap people talked about how "women's eggs deteriorate" well, so do his sperm just the same. It goes bad and causes birth defects with age himself when he's no longer 20. It doesn't occur to some of these losers not all of us want children. Disgusting. I feel like a lot of values of FDS are 100% 70s 2nd wave feminism flavored but modernized and I'm all for it. The feminist movement in general has become a bit too soft and FDS is a bit of a vaccination of sorts to remind us in the first place wtf we're all doing here. That said, I can't wait to listen to this podcast.

Whether you meet in person or online, you must vet. It's impossible to be alert all the time, so listen to your intuition. Have expectations, standards, and boundaries. But remove the ego and don't take offense if men refuse to respect you. You cannot control other people's behavior, only your own. So walk ✌ This is perfect.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/06/21 10:06 AM

We should do both. Women should protect themselves and men do also need to be taught to respect women. The amount of women who have been sexually assaulted is way too goddamn high.

Yes. Hadn't considered it quite that way before but it really makes perfect sense. These guys can't figure out why they can't find a good relationship being abusive because no one wants that. Anyone they fool into it will rightfully explode one day and then they stand jaw slacked and confused how "women be crazy"... no women aren't crazy if you abuse someone they're going to lose it eventually because no human can tolerate that shit. If I'm to be crude here, the average 18 year old boy is too sexually inexperienced to be useful to a porn director. The lie that all that matters is keeping a man and you need to do X or be X or look like X to keep him or....else!!

I keep thinking about how a catchy term people like to describe some women who won't put up with BS as "jaded". Or maybe they're not jaded rather reality has made them a bit more pessimistic about people's intentions not being as pure as they use to think they were. Time and time again, people seem to be let downs. It's amazing how rare it is I seem to meet people that have basic decency and common sense.

There's even a term for it : crazy making. These people tend to gaslight the hell out of and treat someone like crap so badly until one day they can't take it anymore, pop, and then the person who instigated labels them "crazy". How convenient. What bullshit. No, you're not crazy to be upset when you find out someone's been lying, cheating, and or leading you on.

For me I believed it would be reciprocated one day. Never was.

They split in December 2020. You called it. edit: Reading his bio he was already rich when he met her...it sounds like. Regardless, the age difference and other crap such as having his child but refusing to marry her adds up to he sounds like a bad partner. To her credit, despite everything, she is very intelligent and will be fine. The more I learn about some these men and the BS they glamorize I'm just that much more disgusted.

I've dated the narcissist who wanted the challenge of trying to find a happy, well adjusted woman just to fuck up her life to try to make them feel as shitty as they do. By the end they tried to change my body too, but I wasn't having that and things fizzled out. Some people are just sickos. Frigging awful reading all that. Yup, grimes is now more often blonde than not. Just yikes.

Omg.... I had no idea it was that bad. That poor woman, and now she's stuck with him because she had his kid. Thank you for taking the time to explain all of the background. Musk has always seemed like a creep, it makes more sense now.

Now I understand why men cried so much about "shit testing" when I was younger.... because they'd fail even the smallest of ones. +agree with everybody.

He's a creep that's for sure. He's gonna dump his poor girlfriend in a few years for a younger model. Poor woman* I kinda liked her too. More before Musk got his claws into her... But hey, at least she's set for life. The poor child they had may end up quite damaged though.... edit: Grimes has always looked younger than she is so I'm often tempted to call her a "girl" while she's very much a woman. My bad.

Can we get a 3rd option? I'd like to suggest: GOLDEN GIRLS BUT AT 30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100. The younger ones help out the older ones, and the circle of women helping women just turns forever and ever.

It's the hypocrisy for me. He also tried to gaslight me into believing our relationship meant nothing instead of just breaking up with me like a human adult. What a dick. It's that type of crap, where people specifically men as I've only dated men.... over and over even ones I thought were "good" with perhaps one or two exceptions out of them all play games. It's as if expecting honesty is too much. Or if they tell the truth somewhere in their brains they "lost". I'd rather be single at this poi…

Also he gaslights her and makes jokes about it Oh man that's sad. Yup. He's probably already trying to cheat again... prob already has and she just hasn't found it yet. Worst part is that is the example being set for their kids how to treat women.

It is the weirdest thing when I see anyone call this place a hate sub. I fell for it first initially, but after actually reading posts and getting an idea for what people are conveying here it couldn't be further from the truth. There's a lot of fed up women, fed up with being abused by men and not willing to take that behavior anymore. That's empowering, not hateful. Also, I don't see anyone trying to encourage or give tips as to how to emotionally damage people or harm people. It's far more ju…

Just a warning, even if they say yes(dated that guy) doesn't mean they're being honest or it's some great indicator of his character either. They can be like... "Yeah, I don't care" and still have plenty of other hang ups about women.

Same. I was raped and therefore NEVER watched GOT. Always got a lot of shit for it. I don't care. Rape is not entertainment and rape had no place in a "fantasy" as many tried to defend it. If it was fantasy, then rape was 100% their choice to use. It was never, ever necessary. Stopped watching American Horror Story for similar reasons.

This has be a good 35% of all original Netflix shows. They have some painfully bad writers/director combos apparently.

Since I have realized this I have a hard time not seeing it in media when it happens. Really can't enjoy and have to skip scenes of a lot of shows now. I hate women's bodies being used just to please men. It's disgusting.

No, don't bother trying to sell your snowboard. It's not worth it. Lots of snowboards for sale out there. You wouldn't get the $$ you'd hope to get back. It def has more sentimental value than it could monetary. Very sorry.

Thinking of all the millennials I know, late 20s and early 30s who you’d think would be in their prime babymaking years, are renting a room in a shared apartment or a house with a bunch of other people, have tons of debt, and can barely afford to take care of themselves. While I'm managing my debt and it isn't a ton, it would have been if I went to a fancy school for 4 years. I'd probably be in debt to the tune of 60k or so....but otherwise, yup! This is my life. Financially, it's just not a fea…

The social safety net in this country is in absolute shambles. The hell I'd ever consider a child for? That's a rhetorical question. Very much childfree here. The older the get, the happier I am as I'd be an incredibly miserable person if I had to worry every moment of the day for the rest of my life about my hypothetical kids. Let alone if one died during a pandemic?? Prob lose my mind. Nope! I see no benefit of having children. Not in this day and age. Not when women are expected to work full …

Almost every man I've dated, even the ones I thought were "good" ended up having most of these issues. Is dating even worth bothering with anymore if I want anything besides getting laid? It doesn't seem like it.
