This happened to me, he said I should pick him up…my silly self picked up him after he ASKED me on a date. We went to the restaurant and he asked if he could stay at my place because ( insert BS story). When the check came he asked to split it because he didn’t budget for the date( it’s was a $40 food). I told him I was coming, paid my half, left him there and drove home.

If you're picking him up on the first date/match/meetup/what have you, you'll be picking him up for everything.

Bum ass dudes can't even be bothered to drive. You made the right choice here. This man was a bum, ultra broke, ultra lazy, or a mix of all of the above.

He literally thought he was getting sex delivered right to his front door. Like, where is the effort?

Your title made me laugh and reminded me of the time this happened to me. It still makes a great story at parties:

I met this guy who was really funny, smart, and similar interests. We talked endlessly, all was going well, so he asks me out on a date to see a movie.

He planned the date and we decided on what we were seeing. At one point during our conversation, he mentioned that he "might need a ride" and I'm not thinking much of that statement. The night of our date rolls around and I text him that I'm heading to the theatre and he tells me he would be waiting outside for me.

I meet him there, we see the movie, all is well. Afterwards, it hit me about his "need a ride" comment. I asked him if he ended up getting a ride or his car got fixed (it seemed logical and he didn't come right out and talk about his car either).

His response: "I got a ride from my mom. I don't know how to drive and it really doesn't make sense to learn when she can just bring me everywhere".

All attraction faded in that moment because this 26 year old man was...a loser. An image of myself toting this guy to and fro flashed in my mind and I wanted to get the hell out of there NOW.

Days later he kept texting me and I maintained very little contact. I didn't know how to tell him that I wasn't going forward with him, so I acknowledge that mistake. The last time I talked to him, he invited me to a garage sale he was having. For an instant I felt guilty and thought I should give him another chance. I mentioned possibly stopping by and did he have anything in mind afterwards. He told me that was it and he thought we could just sit on the lawn until people bought things. FOR HOURS.

I declined and we stopped talking.
