I've seen those figures quoted from time to time but who really believes this to be the case? I've heard as low as 7 percent, the reality in my experience is quite different. So true, I plumped the weight on last winter but I have managed to lose 12kg and counting since Spring. I didn't do any exercise at all I just cut down on calorific content, drank less beer and ate less high carb foods. The low fat diet is a myth, the body is insanely more efficient at metabolising fatty meats, nuts etc then it is at dealing with processed wheats etc. That doesn't mean you should be eating a pack of bacon a day but you get the point!

This. I like to raise points of discussion gradually with friends and let them join up the dots on their own. If they are smart then it usually starts to click into place soon enough. Even if it's small like 'hey did you hear about that recent rape hoax?', illuminating stories such as that will begin to get them to question the nature of the reality that they have been sold imo. It should always be done in a nuanced way - I don't think I'd ever go public MGTOW in a workplace though.
