I think people misunderstand what it means to ‘be themself.’ Being yourself is not being what you have been.. the clothes you wore when you were a kid were what your parents chose. Your hairstyle, etc. No, you are not what you’ve been. You are what you like. If you pick up a magazine and see a style you like, that’s your style, that’s who you are.

Wrong. I’ve worked with the homeless plenty too. I know a few things about them. And my comment said not ALL homeless people lack introspection, so I’m talking about a select few. There are guys who have looked at themselves, and decided they wanted to take it easy. Live on the beach. 20 something year olds who decided to just live under an underpass. Because they wanted it. Those guys also want girls. It’s not going to happen for them.

I’m trying to tell you that I have heard preachers say that if you want something, give it away. I have a best friend who I just set up w a girl he likes, which actually cost me because he stopped hanging out as much. But still, I felt like it truly opened up some door in my mind. I feel like I come across more genuine to women I like, I feel like I understand something more than before. It’s not a 180 awakening, but I do feel progress. I’m gonna chase that feeling.

I see. But can you 100% tell me that dudes who decide to be homeless, not work, roam the streets lack introspection? Maybe they looked inside and liked what they saw. Maybe they really wanted to be nomads and potheads. But still, a guy needs to hit a few criteria if he wants a woman. I’ve seen a few homeless dudes with women, not many, and they were never women that I would want.

TLDR; if you want to kiss her, try holding her hand. If she doesn’t want to hold your hand, then she may not want to kiss you. If she kisses you, then she wants to smash you.

I think OP was talking more so about gauging peoples interest before flirting. This seems like a different topic and is wrong for different reasons.

And conversely, some girls are really bad at flirting. I’ve had girls that I had no clue were into me whatsoever, and then all of a sudden they ask me if I want their number. They seemed like their personality was turned down to zero.

Yes, if you want a girl for a long term relationship, don’t have sex. You’ll know she’s sticking around for you. Then get married, and have sex, and you’ll know she can use self control to wait. Having sex early will make you become very close to her before you know her character, but waiting will help you keep you distance physically and emotionally, build your value in her mind, and prove her patience.

Yes and after the valley of despair, you can get a burst of energy at times called the revival blaze. That energy helps to get you past those hurdles that have been tripping you up, sometimes called the wall of worry. That's when things start to click, called the magic morning. If all goes well you find a girl, get married, and then experience the trough of disillusionment. JK

Lol you’ll get used to it... But it’s true, I’ve had a lot of little rejections lately, someone not responding the way I want, girl I thought liked me turned me down, friend I like doesn’t seem to feel much for me. But the moment you think you’re undesirable, you skip asking someone out who is really interested in you. While I have experienced rejection, I also have a nice girl who has been texting me a lot, and someone texting me that I’m not into, and I’ve told her I don’t want to date her, in…

This was something I learned early on, but wish I knew it even sooner. Performing for someone is not going to get them to like you. Imagine if some random girl you know was always buying you little candies. Wouldn’t make you like her much more. But you’d be kind about it.

Sometimes the strategy brings confidence. Telling people to just hit the streets is not going to be enough for some people. That’s the kind of advice your little brother might give you. There’s good advice and strategy out there, it definitely helps to learn from others.

True. It's hard to turn off my crazy brain sometimes, that's always worrying if I said too much, said something wrong, am not wanted there. But, I think if people try hard enough, and see the issue clearly, they can probably just.. 'turn it off' like a valve, relax, and be confident. The other day, I was trying to do something like that, but it just didn't seem to work. Lots of days, I need some good advice beyond, don't overthink. And there is good advice beyond that. Lots of good knowledge out…

Yes that's true but didn't you just skip his question? You basically said, be yourself, or you'll have a hard time getting sex. That's not that super useful. I think the main point of the last question was, this is a sub dedicated to giving people advice on how to seduce women. That's why it's called r/seduction But I do think a post like this is a refreshing break from methodology. A reminder of the big picture. But still, saying relax in all caps is about as good of advice as be yourself.

I don’t even think women know exactly why they’re attracted to people. When I started working out and seeing results, it did help. I found more girls, and more attractive girls gave me the time of day. Maybe it’s because girls who dress nice and put effort into their looks are also looking for someone who does the same. And we can all think of a guy who is in shape but has no clue with women and can’t get girls. But it’s one piece of the puzzle, and the more pieces you have, the more women give …

If the title was “don’t accost a woman”, then the article would have made a little more sense to me. And for most people here, we can talk to a girl without accosting her. In fact, many women, alone or not, like it when a good guy talks to them from time to time. I ran into a nice, beautiful girl in the supermarket a few weeks ago, I just made a tiny bit of small talk, and she talked my ear off for like 15 min. And she was all smiles the whole time, too. So I think generalized comments like, don…

Ya comes across a little passive aggressive. The girl sounds like a piece of work, but not reacting to her naked pictures and seeming uninterested and then pulling her hair probably made her feel like he was wasn’t really into her, but just doing it because he knows he’s supposed to. His body has been trained to try to get sex from every girl, even if he’s not connected to her, so no different here.

I would say, after you do some of the other advice here, try dating a girl that you’re not necessarily going to be with forever. Just someone. I find it really broke down a lot of walls with me. Got rid of a lot of mysteries that didn’t mean anything. Not saying to use someone, just try dating someone who you’re a little interested in. You’ll immediately understand a lot of things.

I think saying whatever you want isn’t that bad of advice. I think you need to be careful with your words, but most people here aren’t saying anything at all. It seems to be aimed at getting people out of their shell.

The problem with an alpha mindset is it means your number 1, literally, so everybody else gets to be number two. Everyone else gets the backseat... and what if a girl sees you treating people like that feels that you’re an insensitive prick? You think that’ll get you anywhere with her? She knows she’ll get treated like that next. Better to be caring, yet confident. I’ve seen so many ‘Chads’ that get no chance with the beautiful girl while the artsy guy swoops in and lands it. There are elements …

Because his title sounds off... “I’ve found what truly makes me happy, women!” Thats the most simp title I’ve ever read. Even if he had said one specific woman makes him happy, it would sound better, cause it could mean love. But saying ‘women’ generically sounds like his foundation is sand. Women don’t like your favorite hobby to be women. If they see you flirting with the next woman who walks in the door, not good. Imagine if a girl you dated started flirting with your friends. It’s the basics. And it’s the truth. If you’re coming to this sub hoping for a magic pill or magic button, I don’t think there is one. As far as being yourself, I like what he said. But I would word it a little different. I think of it kind of like... instead of trying to be interested in what you’re saying, say something you’re interested in. In defense of OP, when she said to invest money in the relationship, that was an allegory that goes both ways. She even gave an example of what the ‘money’ really was: effort or respect. She also said ‘It costs $0 to be a decent person’, and that it goes both ways. One issue I had with what she said was some men expect women to “sexually service him, at his leisure, for free (little to no effort or respect.)” To be clear, I’ve heard some women say they enjoy sex more than men. And for women to t…

It doesn’t go on to say why women initiate a divorce. Is it because someone was unfaithful, abusive physically, drinking problem... that drove the woman to leave? I don’t want to over generalize because I have zero data. It could also just be that women are getting bored. I think one sucky thing that almost all women do, is they say things like, he didn’t take me on dates anymore. That assumes that the man should initiate the dates. Yes you can be smart and have a lot to offer to the conversation, or dumb and have little to offer, and in both situations still have no charisma. So it’s not so much about intellectual stimulation. I think of it as this muscle or nerve that senses what’s going on around you and develops thoughts. You wrap the thoughts up with words. That’s the way you speak whenever it’s time to. People with charisma have longer sense times, and have more of a flow. Because they’re taking a lot in, they’re sens…

I don’t think this advice would do much for you if you were back at the crappy high school again. I don’t know if you really had a ‘revelation’ or were just around people who were in their cliques. Going to college allowed you to talk to lots of other people who were probably losers from their high school and wanted to make friends and had learned to dress properly and have good hygiene.

Also, scoring with milfs is a little different than with single girls. Married women will flirt to feel desired, and make their boyfriend or husband jealous, not to have a serious relationship.

For people in a large city, with plenty of prospects, I’d counter that 83-17 is good. If you’re near a beach that could easily be a 63-37, if the people are standoffish. But always remember the 35-65 rule.

Ya, it may be justified, but women can be a little flaky at times. Especially attractive ones. If you give them a second chance from time to time, you can rise above the noise and immaturity and just treat them like a little ornament on your arm. Sometimes that's what they want. But treat them as such, if that's how they're going to act and don't give them respect too quick, they'll notice if you treat them accordingly.

True, but that advice is about as good as saying be yourself. I would say a few things that helped me to talk more... be real. Be focused. And be confident. And when I say real, I mean as real as you possibly can. Open up. He focused when she responds, as that’s where we usually miss most of our opportunity for conversation. And be confident in everything you do, because you can say a lot or a little and it still works if you’re confident.

Do you think Woody Allen is good or bad looking? I’ll give it to you, that good looks can make it easier on a guy. But no amount of looks can save a guy from a bad personality. A guy who is needy, desperate, accusatory, manipulative. If you are giving, open, and embrace yourself, you can get there. I mean, I see so many weirdo looking guys getting good looking girls. I see so many guys who have all the raw looks, but are so awkward and out of touch that they never have a girl. I do think there’s…

You’re projecting onto women. Your saying they do something that in fact, you do, and they don’t do. You think that because you judge a woman on so many physical standards, they do the same. Many women not only don’t do that, don’t put the same weight in looks, but they actually like guys that I would think look terrible. Women pay attention to other things as well that we don’t even think about.

Each person has their own ‘10’ they can hit. You could step back, look at yourself, and say what would I look like if I worked out like this guy and did my hair like this guy and dresses like this guy. And have fun with it, and see what you could do. Some might say, don’t worry about the outside appearances. Ok, well then let’s see if op is truly striking out with all women, or just the ones who’s outward appearances he likes. I’m sure there’s plenty of women that would be interested in him, but…

I definitely don’t think men need to change to meet women’s needs, or tone themselves down. I was saying that to know what’s going on in their mind can help men to take things less personally, and no why women are taking it slow. And understand why they need to get to know you a little bit.

Good point. And it's practical to not fixate on one woman. You really don't have a right to until she's fixated on you. You both have to make that decision together, in the form of an exclusive relationship or marriage. For the people who are lamenting not having a girlfriend, think about the opposite scenario. Imagine you had a girlfriend, and got married, and you've been together for years. You may have other challenges.. Maybe she changed, she's bored, she's getting crazy, she can't hold a jo…

I guess there's two different meaning of it. Good 'It's a numbers game': Meaning there's plenty of fish, don't worry, it's not personal, keep at it. Bad 'It's a numbers game': Meaning don't think of the girl as an individual, this is a formula, it's more like luck, no introspection needed just wrack up points. When people denigrate the phrase, they use the bad definition, because someone just gave them that advice and they don't want to hear it. When someone wants to encourage a person who's ups…

When you are in a social circle, things change. Whether it’s work, or church, or some talent based circle like singing at an open mic, or a dance, or even interest based groups like a political gathering or fishing... or any circle of people that you have rapport with, girls suddenly are much more available. Understand that women feel a little wary of men, because men can be strong, men are very different, statistically men commit a whole lot more crime than women, they don’t know what to expect…

You started off by saying, do you even ‘have a choice’, are you even attracted to the people you asked out? And then someone says to ask people out you’re attracted to, and you say how that’s based on looks (which that isn’t just based on looks). Sounds like you have some pretty big expectations from this sub.

I really think commenters need to take it seriously when women say that height isn’t a huge deal. Does it help, yes. Some women like it a lot, some think it’s just a bonus. But hear me out, girls are not as much into looks as guys are. You’re projecting onto women when you do that. Guys who worry about a girl not liking them because of their height are 100% judging girls because of physical attributes they can’t control. You need to let go of the thought that women are exactly like you. They lik…

You say that, but I can think back to real examples, from a guys perspective, of when several different quality girls got interested in me. I can see where the original advice is coming from. You have to keep track of how much attention you give someone. If you go 100% from the first moment, you don’t give the girl any space to make her decision. She has to make her own choice, not have you desperately pushing her, making it for her. I’ve watched other guys who pushed too hard, while I spent tim…

It’s good that you read between the lines. You need to be productive and stay busy, but there’s also the part that you need to get out of the house, talk, party and meet people. We can’t stay isolated, we have to make attempts to find where people are. You’re odds of meeting someone will go down considerably if you’re always inside your house, on Reddit, or even just being productive. You seem a little tilted over this, you may want to just hang back and work on yourself. Just lean back and work on perfecting you, and don’t get caught up in the back and forth, and just be you for now.

Be yourself is also good advice. The only problem is it's been said probably one million times in this sub. And it's too vague and general. It's gotten to the point that the people who say 'work on yourself' are probably only saying it to make themselves feel good, and to babble on about something even though they don't understand what, and not help the one in need.

I think a guy likes a girl who is confident, who cares, who is willing to listen and treat him with respect no matter what his points of view are. I think those are all signs of maturity. And I think a guy will open up to you when you prove that you can handle his heart.

With girls, if you literally do your hair nice (long hair works on most men), dress in something fairly tight that compliments your body shape, show a little cleavage if you have some (if not that’s fine, still show off that area a little), and don’t chase a guy but let him know you’re interested by insinuating and making utilitarian conversation with him, he’ll fill in the rest. Guys are much easier to figure out than girls. It’s like getting a dog to like you.

Ya I don’t know if people are understanding the post. I think this is sort of an honest approach, and not a manipulative approach. You’re behaving in the way you feel. If you’re concerned that a girl friend zoned you, it’s already assumed that you want to me more than friends. And being friends can be tough when you want someone enough. Tough to see them with other guys, dating your friends. So with that assumption, sure, behave business like, because you’re not interested in just being friends,…

The point he’s trying to make is if you’re at the right place doing the right things, and you’re laughing and doing something you’re good at, you get more action. I don’t see a lot of good looking girls approaching even then, but you still get a lot more girls that seem interested when you do that.

I mean, sometimes a girl thinks that a guy should behave one way, but when he behaves that way it doesn’t lead to ‘feelings’. I could be wrong of course. Me personally, I just think of it as someone sucking on a lollipop. Like enjoying it, getting nice and tight at times, using the tongue to wash over it, maybe focusing on the top ridge a little. Like you’re enjoying a lollipop. I don’t get turned on by lots of saliva. But everyone’s different.

Well at least he gave advice. Instead of most of the generic posts and comments around here, like ‘focus on becoming a better person and actually being interested in the people you meet beyond looks.’ So I come to a sub called seduction, and the advice I get is, try not to care as much about the girls’ looks. Amazing advice, gracias!

I’m not seeing a lot of negative comments, but the few here are probably because his advice was just to sit and visualize talking to a tv actress, and that was literally it. No advice for what to say, how to say it, or how to believe in yourself, just sit and think about talking to your favorite actress. I mean I’m sure it will help some anyway.

Ya I agree, I think the question is a little off. He’s basically asking any girl he’s crazy about to have to like him back, because they don’t want to only be valued for their looks. Like a girl can see herself on the same level as others, not be proud or full of herself, and still not want to date a guy she isn’t attracted to. She can be down to earth in one way, and still not want to date you because you’re not on her level in the dating way. There’s a different standard with dating than with …

Ya exactly, there are some very attractive girls I know who never go without. There’s always someone there with a safety net to catch them if they fall. A desperate guy or an old guy friend or even random guys on Facebook who ask for dates so they never feel bored. On tinder I can have a hard time finding a hot girl to hit me up, but when I talk to a hot girl that’s a friend and see her tinder, she looks like she’s deleting about 100 messages a day. They’re showered with attention non stop. They…

I can see a double standard if I word it different. Your below average looks detracts from your value. But my above average looks hasn’t helped me get ahead in life. That would be a double standard to me.
/r/seduction20/04/20 07:50 PM

I think the double standard for guys would be wanting the hottest girl on the planet but putting no work into themself, playing league of legends all day, weighing 40 lb overweight with no real accomplishments or money to show, and expecting to be treated like a king.

Thank U for you ur input, but I have some experience to tell me otherwise. To your point, I do think girls can sense when you’re being real or not, and if you’re playing games, but I honestly think that if you like them too much, they WILL lose interest in you. And if you lose interest from time to time, because they aren’t keeping your interest or whatever, they will begin to chase you. Women love to chase a man, once they’ve gotten to know him. It makes them feel like they have a little challe…

Good point. One possibility, is every crush you had was a girl you couldn’t get. If you could go back, knowing what you know now, you may quickly connect with those girls and date them before those strong feeling cemented and see them like the girls you see now. And those girls have the benefit of elongated time. If you were to take one of the girls you meet now, and get to know them for a long time like you did when you were in school, you might see them the same way.

You can do body weight workouts, pick 3 days a week to start. Go higher than that if you can. Learn how to program, download Unity and start doing their tutorials. The Bible has some good spiritual things in it, try reading a proverb every day. They’re short. Go for a jog every day, being in nature is crucial for mental health. Drink plenty of water, eat healthy, you have to continue to keep yourself up in every aspect as you adult.

The best way for me to workout, is the same times each week. So say mtwtf at 7p. Then I don’t have to decide every single morning..... should I workout today? Do I feel like it? And I know ahead of time when I need to go to the grocery store and when I need to have my gym clothes ready. And even further, to know which muscle groups I’m doing each day. Like, arms first day, legs second... helps me prepare and there’s less to think about every time.

Ya I think it’s about letting them know, maybe subtly, that you’re open, but at the same time, playing it slow and patient. Some guys forget, the girl has to feel the same way you do before you get close. You have to feel out the situation and let her get to the level you’re at.
/r/seduction17/04/20 01:29 AM

You’ll find that a lot of guys here brag about being alpha and getting tons of girls. In reality, they probably found a hog at a bar 2 months ago, seduced 5 weirdos last year, and think every other girl can’t keep their eyes off them.

There’s all kinds of guys in here, ‘advanced’ and ‘simps’. I think this list is a little verbose for the simplicity of the topic, but it’s a good reminder anyway. Maybe their should be flair for advanced and simple or something?

Ya and half the people didn’t even read the post. They’re saying, don’t go out thereagain, take time for yourself.... but he wasn’t asking if he should take time for himself, just where to meet women. He cares. Because nature compels him to desire a woman. When I think back to when I found good girlfriends, it wasn’t because I just kicked back at home and played video games. But because I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and went out of my way to be available to a girl.

I was thinking the same thing. Think of how many guys are in great relationships with great girls, hot girls right now. How many of them do you think learned the trade from sites like this? Probably virtually none. Girls are created to desire guys, and guys are created to desire girls, and have been doing it long before the internet or Reddit. There are some basics that you can pick up by clicking around and reading from time to time, but anyone who treats their opinion like..... “this is the se…

It’s a movie about 2 guys who turn gay for a summer. If you can only get your wife to have sex twice a year by watching 2 guys going at it, she’s the one who has you trained. This is the 100% opposite of seduction.

This is what I was thinking. I’m surprised how many good looking girls are turned off by macho men. Two pretty girls in my friend group are 23 and 24, we hang out with a guy who was a linebacker on a football team, is currently going into the police force, has a big pickup truck, a championship ring on his hand, and very good at talking and keeping conversation going all night, very funny, light. But neither girl will even consider dating him. The other day he told one, hey I think my arms are g…

I think part of it is, what do you want? If you want a serious relationship with one girl in particular, the girl can tell. She wants a guy who seriously likes her and wants her. It gives them security. I’m not saying to pretend to want her, but more so that if you’re not that into some of these girls, they’ll notice and that could be part of the problem.
/r/seduction02/04/20 11:04 PM

Ya that would actually bug me, if I sent two text messages and got nothing back. If it was a friend I’d be getting annoyed after a couple days. If it was a girl that was closer than a friend, I’d feel like I wasn’t as high of a priority than I want to be and would probably call the person out. If you cared enough to be offended, than you probably saved yourself some pain by just cutting it off there.

I know what you mean. I’ve had success in the past with long term relationships, but now that I’m back on the prowl I’ve forgotten a few things. I was able to make a little progress lately.. The thing that helps me is to imagine her saying what you’re about to say to her. Most times, if you think you’re saying too much, it actually isn’t when you picture it coming from her. Send it, and sit back and don’t text again till she responds. Don’t send something that’s bold, and then walk it back. The …

I said as a date. She told me that she didn’t have the time she needed to be in a relationship, but would like to hang out as my friend. Most guys would think that’s the end of the story. I can definitely take a lot away from this. I think a lot of what you went through was typical guy stuff... Dealing with your ego and such. I like the take away that it’s not this magical thing you have to do to get a girl, but a practical thing. Having a conversation can be more of a skill than an art. I find when I make something into too big of a mystery, I forget the basics like listening closely, showing personality, not caring about their approval, and being real.
/r/seduction26/09/19 12:21 AM

And I think it’s important to stress that if you have a good personality and have a strong opening or live a life of purpose and do what you’re best at, you’d be surprised how far up the female food chain you have the ability to go.

I especially like that you did the negging in a playful, fun way. Guys tend to take that advice and use it to chip away at a girls self worth, as if the girl’s life is just a game to them. Negging should be light hearted and joking, because a girl can take a joke, not because some people feel so insecure that they have to tear down the people they care about to feel they have a chance with them.

Ya I mean sometimes you have to let the girl know where you’re going. Whether it’s the date, like telling her what movie you’re going to see next Friday, or letting her know that you’re into her. But I get the gist of the video. Which may be to add a little surprise to your personality.

He just keeps the conversation going. Doesn’t make a lot of money. He’s read stuff on how to talk to girls. He’s also hung out with a lot of different types of people, and doesn’t get phased easily. He can literally keep a conversation going all night. And he’s not especially smart or cultured, just says what’s on his mind and doesn’t get caught up in the little things.

Hard to put into words. When I’d text a girl in front of him, he’d say, why are you writing that? He just told me to loosen up. It felt like it worked better if I put away the texting, and said something out loud. Would it kill the mood? How would I talk out loud to a friend or family member? Would it make sense in a conversation? And after finding something that sounded conversational, I’d try writing that, and then give it 5 seconds, read a few of the previous messages, then read mine, and if …

Thank you. I’d like to post here soon. And one more thing, guys please don’t use this to hurt. What I mean is, if a girl likes you, don’t turn on the charm even though you’re not into her. Because you think she looks good, and just make out with her once or twice and not text again. That hurts girls, and that’s why they treat guys the way they do, because guys that came before us did that and were fake. Girls are deep creatures, they like men for their personality, their wisdom, their understanding and kindness... but at first, they need a few shallow things. Wearing clean and neat clothes, good hairstyle, some style.. you talk to them a lot before you say a word. Secondarily is the primary stuff. So once you get their attention, it’s your personality that counts. You can say the same thing with 2 different personalities. A good opening line is, how are you? A bad opening line is, how are you? …

Many girls do value a guy who is invested in life and value guys who give a crap about what they do. But the wording of the post is a little weird, makes it seem like you just need to say what they want to hear. Just to prove your original post wrong, I know someone who openly says working out is a waste of time and won’t bother doing it, and is making ground with the most attractive women at my school. Goes to show it’s not really about saying x y or z, but about thinking x y or z. Your thought life should be about putting yourself on a pedestal, not them. And not treating the people around you, pretty or not, like trash. Still, I think working out is worth anybody’s time.
