I begged her to find something she can do at home for extra cash. She didn't want to ruin her social security disability. Since separation she has started a home business. Meanwhile I'm getting deeper in debt from alimony I can't afford to pay. She told me Monday "she doesn't care if I'm struggling. I'm eating from food banks and she is shopping at Trader Joe's.

When they canceled Fault divorce they should have made prenuptial mandatory. Men bend over backwards trying to treat women equally. In family court they become "doe eyed, babes in the woods" that need to be taken care of with men's money. Hypocrisy !

I net 3k for two two week pay periods. Add up 2,240 for alimony plus 200 for arrears payment and now add 400 for her attorney fees. $2,840 Total. $160 left for me. I'm in CA and the Judge isn't a judge he is a commissioner that is mathematically inept. So it does come out of net then?

I make 6k a month 3k every 2 weeks. Its alimony and I'm in CA. With all my deductions I net 1500. So I pay 1120 on the 1st and 15th. and since he was a nice guy he back dated it to Oct 1 Instantly putting me in the hole. I get to pay an extra 200 on the 1st until I'm paid the back pay. I made the first payment yesterday. I have 52 dollars in my checking. I have to pay rent on first so no one getting paid. 3months behind on the mortgage. I lost my therapist that the VA pays for last week.

I'm glad you're doing well after all that. Did they adjust your alimony when you started making less? If I could get out of alimony for life and hands off retirement account I would pay off the house (135k) sign it over to her. Then she would have a 485k house. But I don't think that's good enough for her. She's on disability so no money to maintain the house.

Yes it's my house too, the deed is in my name. She threatened me with abuse, so I left instead. The incident 25yrs ago is when I got arrested on her word only. 6 months latter they dropped the charge because it was all made up. Disorderly conduct is what I got because we were arguing outside. I could live with that. This one is playing with my mental state

She accused me of false domestic violence used it as an excuse to leave me for a guy she emotional cheating on me. Before she kickedme out I got to watch her leave for the weekend twice with him. When I stood up for myself she kicked me out. For the record this happened to me 25yrs ago. Except that one got me arrested. It was dropped months later when they found out it reallydidn't happen. So I literally have PTSD from that and my wife knows it and is taking advantage of it.

My wife stole my handguns for four months the day she kicked me out. The sheriffs were useless. They wouldn't go with me to get them. The best I could do was report them missing. I have since got them back but it's because she decided to give them back not the law. I bet if they were her guns and I took them I'd still be in jail.

If you're going to read a self-help book read "No more Mr. nice guy" By Dr. Robert Glover. Its been recommended in this sub lots of times. It really opened my eyes on my behavior during my life. Its a short read and free on Audible. I did the free trial to get it. Typical woman deflecting insecurities on men.

I did watch it unfold and didn't do anything about it. I was so sick of her threatening divorce every couple of years. She was so infatuated with this guy she lost her damn mind. Four months later they are no more. Even with the cheating I still would of used a mediator and done it amicably. She is accusing me of DV and that's crossing a line. I hope she dies broke and alone

This advice is spot on. I wish I had done all of this in my marriage. This subject is where I failed in my marriage and is the only thing I regret not doing. Would it stopped her from stepping out on me? Who knows, but it wouldn't of hurt. I thought being a good dad to her daughter and a good provider was good enough.

My stbx filmed the whole spectacle of her kicking me out. I do not know how I kept my cool. If I had a copy of that, it would show: Her admitting she loved someone else and she was leaving me for him. She threatened to contest the divorce. Her screaming at me , "Sadist Sadist, Sadist," Her admitting she stole my firearms because she was supposedly scared. Her throwing trash bags at me telling me, " That's the only luggage I deserve." And the best one, "Get the F**k Out of My House" my friend was…

My wife was defintly coached. The words and phrsases she used while kicking me out were not what she normaly used. She mentioned not changing the locks several times. which I assume she thinks will keep her from not being seen as kicking me out. she also was recording it or steaming it the whole time. she really seemed to be playing it up for the camera and not scared of me as she claims My dad called these friends and family sht house lawers. I Miss My Dogs.. I haven't seen them in 2 months. All 3 (little ones) came from the pound so I don't think it's good for them to see me come and go. They are the only reasons I miss living in that house. Stbx doesn't make the list

No, but I'd be using it right now. I've been living in a motel for two months. I'm getting an apartment this weekend, and I have absolutely no furniture. I'm working overtime regularly. I'm also paying the mortgage for a house I'm not living in. I did have an account that I started and forgot about it had regular automatic deposits. It was about 2500 in it. DO NOT! Be alone with her at all. always have witnesses if you have to talk to her that includes phone calls. No contact is best or have your lawyer be the one to talk to her. She is willing to do anything for the house and kids. Her goal is to put you in jail so the court thinks you are the bad guy

California here. My date of separation was the day I moved into the spare bedroom. When I filed that is the date I used. I was kicked out of the house a month later but the lawyer told me to use bedroom switch day. The marriage was over eventhough I was still in the house.

She threatened to divorce once she will do it again. Trust me I lived it it for 23yrs. Every two or three years, she would do it and of course I was to blame. Then it was only 18months . This time she was feeling confident and kicked me out(I know legally I could stay) but the best thing for me I was finally out of her web and see things for what they are. I had her served few weeks later

99% Of the arguments I would say I'm sorry just to shut down the drama. Even the ones where she made me mad it would twist to me just dropping it. If she said sorry or you're right, it was something so trivial I told her how hurt I was watching my wife in love with another man and leaving me for him she responds, "That must be hard." Then, she walked out of the room. Hard is a level on a video game, not ripping my heart out and into the blender.

My lawyer told me that after the day of separation, my paycheck is my property. Im living in a motel, and she's in the house. I can't stop paying the mortgage because it's my biggest investment. I would like her to pay the utilities , she only gets about 1k a month from disability so I imagine that won't happen. I like how her disability is a plus for her but my VA disability gets added to my total income. In California here.
