What are the reasons that are acceptable?

It isn’t about what is effective or healthy, it’s about what is true. Blue pill feels good, and is less ugly, which is why people want it to be true. Wanting something to be true, unfortunately does not make it so. The world is an ugly place. Women are not sweet innocent angels incapable of error.

Do you feel pressured by society to accept feminism? What is the typical reaction when you say you hate feminism?
/r/MensRights26/07/19 08:06 PM

Both. It peaks in men at age 45, but growth rate is basically exponential for boys age 10 to 19. Either way, male suicide significantly outnumbers female suicide at all stages of life. https://www.bcmj.org/sites/default/files/public/BCMJ_53Vol10_suicide_fig1.JPG

Interestingly 6’ even is 80th percentile. So 80/20 would say >6’ which seems inline with what I hear from women.

Tried that. Sounds nice, but it just doesn’t work. I have saved in my voicemail a rejection from a tall girl. It was just comically funny. She changed her mind mid week and called me to leave a message. “I can’t see you this weekend because... long pause ...I just can’t”.

A lot of women I would traditionally be taller than wear these 4 inch shoes that instantly put me out of range. If men were able to artificially inflate their height in a similar manner, this would be much less of a problem.

No, it’s enlightening, and my question is sincere. I guess I was just a bit stunned to be linked to that post and then read that title. I never even considered lying as a possible response. I read your comment as if you were rationalizing why you do that. I was wrong, and I apologize.

That’s some hard stuff. I know a couple who got married, and later graduated and were accepted at different schools. They told me how relieved they were that they were already married, because if they weren’t, they would have likely broken up and lost the love they had (that had since grown at that point). They had a baby, and couldn’t comprehend life without him.

There isn’t anything else a man can do to increase how physically attractive he is. Everything else is out of his control. And you’re living in a clown world of you believe women don’t care about physical attraction. The women on this forum have agreed on this countless times. If you are right, and I suspect you may be, it is a dark and bitter truth for men to swallow. They just have to accept that they are born attractive or repulsive and live with it.

Have you ever had a cast? If so were you surprised at the level of muscle atrophy that occurred when it was removed? It’s astoundingly fast. Three weeks, and your leg looks like you just walked out of a concentration camp. You can’t even walk! Really! You don’t have the strength to fucking walk in just three weeks! So if you are super built, you HAVE to keep exercising with the same level of endurance just to maintain the same muscle mass. That’s not an opinion. That’s just science. So I don’t b…

Brené Brown is a researcher who studies shame. I believe she has best written how men experience shame in response to vulnerability. Unfortunately the picture remains bleak for men with no current hope for change. "Most women pledge allegiance to this idea that women can explore their emotions, break down, fall apart—and it's healthy," Brown said. "But guys are not allowed to fall apart." Ironically, she explained, men are often pressured to open up and talk about their feelings, and they are cr…

The problem isn’t that only being nice is kind of lame. It’s that it’s actively repulsive to women. Women get hot of a bad guy. The more dangerous, the more fun.

Do you think your partner may feel objectified? If I was only desired for my ability to be sexually pleasing, I would feel like a piece of meat, and would resent my life, and my wife. Since you have the ability to get your own money, perhaps the more humane thing would be to hire male prostitutes to fulfill you sexually. Or perhaps that wouldn’t be fulfilling precisely because you aren’t able to hurt men this way. Or perhaps it’s simply that, as you said, you have tons of options and you don’t w…

It’s not an act, I am genuinely curious, and believe there may be some truth to what you say. I also believe there is power when you can explicitly put it to words. So what specifically are the mental and personality sex differences? As far as societal collapse, I would constitute men killing all women, and men and women living totally separate lives alien to each other as you’ve suggested as societal collapse. And yes, I find it humorous that the only thing you believe preventing those things i…

I really like your post, and the first part made me laugh :) Yes, hormones truly can be detrimental!
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 02:29 PM
2

I would be interested if you could elaborate on the cognitive and personality sex differences. I find it a bit humorous that you believe the only thing holding society and humanity together is our desire to have sex with each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 02:17 PM
1

Disagree bud. I would still be very interested in meeting new people that I could potentially bond with mentally. You First called it a sexual market, and yes, I agree this would disappear. You then equate the dating market to the sexual market. That is where I disagree.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 01:38 PM
1

What are the sex differences that would cause us to become alien?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 01:36 PM
1

So why would men and women become alien to each other if the biological aspect of sexual attraction disappeared?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 01:19 PM
1

No, I am not comprehending what you wrote. I do not understand how men and women can be fundamentally different, and at the same time have gender be purely a social construct. To me that is incoherent.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 01:15 PM
1

If it is a social construct, why would men and women be alien? I don’t understand this statement. I feel we are pretty much the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 05:26 AM
1

Do you say people that say gender is a social construct are totally deluded?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 05:11 AM
0

I’m saying you could raise a child with someone, share frustrations and successes with someone, and have that be a unique an intimate thing on its own that strengthens the pair totally independent of sexuality.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 05:10 AM
1

Is it totally foreign to you that hormones can cloud the mind and prevent you from making rational decisions and choices? Yes I agree that sexual intimacy can enhance that, but I believe more often than not, sexual attraction clouds, rather than enhances our judgment.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 05:08 AM

I want to find someone that I could share a life with. A best friend. Call that dating, friendship makeing, solemate searching, whatever you want. I feel like sexual attraction more often hurts this than aides it.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 05:05 AM
1

I have, but I believe it’s easier to do when hormones are trying to influence you.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:52 AM

Yes I am. I feel that attraction impeeds more often than it helps us to form relationships with a foundation of meaningful friendship. In the worst case, it leaves us stuck with some pretty awful people.

1

/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:28 AM
1

Sure, yeah, we would all be born from test tubes or something. You would have a mate in the sense that it is like a best friend you share everything with. Someone you can laugh with, go on adventures with, and just share life with.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:28 AM
3

I mean if it happened overnight, not in an evolutionary perspective. A virus came along that blocked the attraction receptors or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:23 AM
2

Well for one thing, studies show that you will live fifteen percent longer if you can find a mate you can trust, even if you don’t like them.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:16 AM
1

Well, I guess I disagree with you on that. I feel like humans, in general, find pair bonding ideal. I know I feel that desire. Someone I can talk deeply with and discuss ideas. Someone I can share secrets with, whom I know it will be safe. I want to live with someone like that, and I feel sexual desire pulls me to people less ideal, and that sexual repulsion pushes me away from otherwise good choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:14 AM
1

I guess it’s about finding a “sole mate” or your best friend.

Is the goal of the sub to actually gain demonstratively applicable knowledge or just to fight, because I think in some cases (like this one) demonstraiting how it applies will skew men and women’s responses.. if this is just a fight.. then I think we need to rethink why we’re here.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/19 03:17 AM
1

You’re telling me you have not seen anger from wronged men or scorned women discussed on this sub? I thought about putting examples, but they put men and women in a bad light, and I thought it could cause people to get defensive because they just weren’t ready to give up on the bitterness they have toward the other gender. If this was the case, it would detract from an actual discussion of what revenge or justice is. If you require it though, I could put some examples of red pill rage, and femin…

Yes I do, and there is research to back that statement. It is “the women are wonderful” effect. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women_are_wonderful_effect A benevolent sexism that describes an unearned positive emotional bias ascribed to women. They are by default, assumed to be sweet innocent angels, princesses even. My guess is she is pretty damn controlling and manipulative. I’ve been with women that want to take it slow. I did because I enjoyed being with them, and didn’t want them to leave me. I’ve also been with some women who want to rush things. I did, likewise, because I enjoyed being with them, and didn’t want them to leave me. There is a large degree of masculine love that is sacrifice. I have seen this in women, but mostly toward her children. Some women really take advantage of this tendency to s…

/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/19 02:56 AM

Gotta say, that’s a little bit offensive. How would you respond if I said women tend to be shit whenever they are in any kind of dominant role? Also, how does not being interested in you make them shit? Could it be that maybe that’s a bit of an entitled view to have? Women don’t deserve to have any man they please simply for existing and being female.

There is a whole thread in here about how consensus or “assessment of sexual attractiveness” is not specific enough to measure variance on specific features of attraction. In fact, if there were a larger number of attributes that were typically seen as sexually attractive to a group, the more likely they are to agree or generally asses someone is attractive. Mathematically the more sets you have, the more likely there is to be overlap. The opposite is also true. If there are fewer features that …

I would feel upset, and of course break things off, but I wouldn’t be disrespectful. It’s not illegal to be a slut. I would go home and spend some time looking for empathy the only place men can get it, the manosphere. We would have another example that AWALT. It would take a good few months, but I would probably return to dating against my better wisdom and repeat the cycle.

The difference is that I believe black people should get shorter sentences to match the average while I believe women should be getting longer sentences. I believe black peoples longer sentences do not match their crime, and are a result of racist bias. I do believe most men’s sentences are appropriate, and should not be shortened. They are not the result of sexism. Women’s sentences being shorter is the result of what is colloquially known as “the pussy pass”. They have privilege that needs to …

I’m certainly trying to make anything personal. I’m just curious about any mindset that is not willing to consider something because they don’t like it. It’s strange to me that people are simply unwilling to accept that human nature is to act in a self interested manner, and that it is sometimes very ugly. RP is not about hating people. /r/PurplePillDebate24/05/19 09:27 PM

I just got through a whole conversation with someone here about how it’s not inconsistent to say that men are more likely to agree on who is considered attractive, and still have that dataset be diverse. Men can equally have consensus that different black, Caucasian, Indian, Latino, Asian women are all attractive. You could even say it’s more likely to have consensus if your views of what is attractive are more broad.

Dude, it’s a completely different example that of course is not gendered...... I tried to stay away from something gendered intentionally to avoid a passion loaded subject. Of course I haven’t spent month’s analyzing this paper. One of the rules of this sub is to be engaged.. My point is that it is completely logically coherent to say that men agree more about women they consider attractive, and at the same time have that group be diverse. Men could equally find Caucasian, Latino, Indian, Asian,…

Disagree bud. Also, not sure if your deliberately misunderstanding or what. It is absolutely possible for people to agree on things and still have variety. Maybe attraction is too much of a loaded term. I’m pretty sure most people would agree on activities that are safe or dangerous, even though there is a wide variety of dangerous things. Diving with sharks, and logging would likely be universally seen as dangerous activities, but the only common thing between them is that people consider them …

Nope. Not at all. You can have consensus from men that a variety of women such as large/small breasts, large/small butts, Indian, Asian, preppy, radical, or gothic are all attractive. I’m pretty sure most men would say Natalie Portman and Sophia Vergara are both attractive, but they are very different. It just means that men agree and have less variation on who is considered attractive, nothing about specific features.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/19 08:07 PM
2

Less variation in if a woman is considered attractive, not what is considered attractive. I see no measure of this.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/19 07:59 PM

That’s kind of where it’s trending. We recently crossed the threshold where there are less married than married, and I keep seeing new articles saying it’s at a record low. Men and women are also in general just having less sex than previous generations.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/19 07:48 PM

The point is I’m saying what is considered hot varies more amongst men. And being hot is not limited to being young.. have you ever heard of milfs?

Input a picture, output if they are attractive. The subreddit data would be a good source of attractive men/women. Just have to look for a source of unattractive men/women. Maybe a rate me subreddit? Don’t even know if that exists

This would look like men agreeing a larger percentage of women are attractive, and women agreeing that a smaller percentage of men are attractive. Smaller and larger numbers, but still agreement. This to me is more a measure of the difference in what is considered generally attractive vs personal preference and atypical attraction

I don’t have access to the source research this is based on, but from my initial reading of this article, it was measuring consensus rather than variation. Men can have consensus that a woman is attractive, and still have larger variance in feature preference than women.

For me personally it’s the NEED to always be seen as a confident and put together man. Brené Brown is a researcher who studies shame. I believe she has best written how men experience this. "Most women pledge allegiance to this idea that women can explore their emotions, break down, fall apart—and it's healthy," Brown said. "But guys are not allowed to fall apart." Ironically, she explained, men are often pressured to open up and talk about their feelings, and they are criticized for being emoti…

The point is, once you determine what is wrong, you try to decrease it in the world around you. Make it illegal, stop people when you see it. I do believe torturing and mutilating children is universally wrong. I believe I should stop people if I see it because it is wrong, independent of any laws in place. I also believe I should fight to make it illegal because it is wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/19 03:57 PM

I don’t believe it is just a personal guide. I do not believe in moral relativism. I believe morality is universal. Having a law or justice tied to it is irrelevant. Something can be universally wrong, and people can still get away with it, that doesn’t change it from being wrong. You should strive to identify the wrong things and make them illegal though.

In my opinion that’s a very selfish way to view the world, and especially relationships. Only valuing them of they do something for you. I believe all men and women have intrinsic worth, even if I never met them, or even if I have met them, and they haven’t personally served me in some form.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/19 10:53 AM

So worth is dependent on what someone does for you? If they aren’t serving you or providing you with some form of positive impact, they have no value?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/19 10:40 AM

I don’t understand why you think morality must be tied to justice. That’s a very strange thing to believe, that if there can be no justice there can be no morality. You can do something wrong and get away with it. Morality can certainly be a great guide for you to make there be consequences of there aren’t already.

So if I enjoy torturing children, and I tell you I am going to go to Somalia to abduct a child and am going to slowly tear him to bits just to hear him scream in terror. You would say, “To each there own. That’s not my cup of tea, but I hope you have fun!”?

You are telling me that you believe it is wrong to allow people to freely engage in initiation of force, and base that by saying if everyone acted that way, there would be no quality of life. It feels like I am navigating a minefield stepping into that elevator. The unfortunate reality, it that learned behavior tends to bleed outside of work pretty naturally.

It’s easier when there are other witnesses in the elevator. When it’s just you and another woman, you have to tread extra carefully. This is not how I have always been. This is a learned behavior from a required HR seminar where this exact situation was described. So to your question “Why don’t you just ride the elevator?”, the answer is because I want to keep my job.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 03:49 PM
1

Furthermore, it would only be a brief embarrassment. That is not what it would be. If I was accused of this at work, HR would demand i take this highly seriously, and my job would be in jeopardy. My future employment as well since they could easily see why I was let go. This whole fear directly stems from a required work seminar in which this exact situation was talked about. To me that is not irrational. That is simply directly reacting to what was shown to us by HR.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 03:46 PM
1

Agreed that my title could be better. Unfortunately I cannot edit it. I would like to change it to “men and women have different thresholds for being creepy”. And as far as just not worrying about it, I don’t think the woman that works in our HR office would like that response. I am not worried about what people think of me. I am worried for my livelihood. My job pays the bills. Without that, I starve.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 03:38 PM
1

Just because the court of pubic opinion is often wrong, does not mean it does not affect our daily lives! I just want to ride the elevator. Agreed though that if you ask a random person “creepy or not creepy” that would not be a good basis to determine bias. Perhaps the best way to get the general view would be to show tapes of various situations with men and women, and then to simply ask what they think about the behavior. I would be interested in the word clouds from those open ended questions…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 03:36 PM

Not the same as not being able to ride an elevator alone with a woman.

all women have a lot to fear from the percentage of men who want to rape and/or kill them My whole argument is that that percentage is so small that any fear instilled from it would constitute an unhealthy phobia. This argument is made by the fact that men are more likely to be attacked by a “random stranger”. This is not the same scenario as violence among criminals and gang members. Somehow I am not afraid to step out of my door, even though I am more likely to be attacked by a person at rando…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 03:32 PM
1

If you look at violence between non-strangers, the bias gets even larger.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 03:27 PM
1

Subjective can also be measured with the same methods. If a statistically significant number of people can be shown to have the same subjective views, it is possible to establish a general bias.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 03:24 PM

Unfortunately the abstract does not show what I was asking for. Differences between the trained and untrained could have massively different meanings if you look at the standard deviation for men and women. Perhaps the standard deviation is huge for men compared to women. Then yes, it would be simple to find untrained men who were simply stronger than trained women. I want to see what the overlaps are, and where they lie.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 03:22 PM
1

Objective terms can be measured. You can take a large sample and ask them to rate how creepy someone is. And is it so wrong as to simply want to ride in the work elevator?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 03:17 PM
1

As mentioned earlier, the bars seem to be different for men and women. Getting handsy is different from simply wanting to ride an elevator in peace. This sounds as much about you as about society. This may be true. As I said, I am simply wanting to ride the elevator at work in peace. What should I change to do this? Should I just get used to the idea that I have to have my hands in pockets, and eyes directly ahead?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 03:16 PM

Except “crazy” women can ride the elevator at work without issues. “Creepy” men cannot.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 03:05 PM

There seems to be a paywall. All I can see (at least on mobile), is the abstract. I really am looking for two bell curves. I want to see where the overlap is, and how difference the means are. It would also be interesting to see the differences in standard deviation.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 03:03 PM

I do have a normative issue with that, and I do not feel it is unreasonable. Like I said, this all started with me simply wanting to ride the elevator at work in peace. To me that is reasonable.

As stated elsewhere, it seems the bars are different for men and women. Yes, a woman could lick my ear in public and it would be creepy. I am talking more about “casual creeps”. I just want to ride the work elevator in peace.

Well if that’s not the bastion of truth, I don’t know what is. I can find all kinds of shit sources with google. Show me peer reviewed research. The burden of proof is on you, the one making the argument. I am happy to accept the argument, but you have to back it up.

I don’t consider my lack of fear to be a result of my ability to fight succesfully if combat has to happen. Quite the opposite in fact. If there were to actually be a fight, I feel I would almost certainly lose, yet I am not afraid, because I know it won’t happen..
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 02:29 PM

Happy Easter. And yes, women can be psychotic (men too), but that’s not what I’m talking about. I just want to be able to ride the work elevator
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 02:27 PM
1

I wouldn’t describe myself as a wimp. I just don’t want to get into trouble at work. We had a huge seminar on it. My coworkers are definitely more avoidant. Unfortunately it carries on after work hours as well. When I walk into a store, I typically put my hands in my pockets because I don’t want to be seen as a “dangerous man”. I didn’t used to be that way, and I don’t particularly like it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 02:25 PM

If X action is wrong for a man and right for a women, to me that is sexism.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 02:20 PM

Disagree with you there as well. It is true that there are differences between men and women in strength. It’s a bell curve though, and they are not that separate. The weakest men are not stronger than the mean on female curve. I have been hit by women to the point I’ve been bruised. I don’t consider myself particularly strong, probably average, but I certainly wouldn’t characterize her as anything more or less than average either.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 02:20 PM

To me, the men most often described as creepy, are the gangliest, and most out of shape.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 02:09 PM

Department of Creepiness affairs 😂. That’s funny. As far as men not being afraid of women. I believe this is a whole ‘nother can of worms. Women are conditioned to be afraid by their peers, and especially feminists. 70% of violent crimes committed by strangers are committed against males. Even though I’m more likely to be hurt, I am not afraid to go out of my house though, because it’s just so unlikely. To me this fear is simple anthrophobia.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 02:07 PM

I agree that there are creepy, and even crazy women as you have described. I think waiting to cut someone’s dick off after a rejection is a different level from simply wanting to ride an elevator in peace though.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 01:50 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/19 01:39 PM

Even if that’s true (which I have doubts), why do you think the phrase “women and children first” became popularized, if not for the view that men are indeed disposable and of less worth?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/19 02:50 PM
1

Also, worth gap. Men are considered disposable. Men are the only gender that can be conscripted. If a ship is sinking, the people that will expected to die a horrible icy death will always be men. It’s women and children first. You could also talk about empathy gap. When a man cries, the response is unilaterally by women and men to “man up”.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/19 02:02 AM

Accountability gap. Men are 88% more likely to face jail time, and receive 63 percent longer sentences for the same crime than their female counterparts. This is colloquially known as “the pussy pass”

Here’s the deal. It’s a moving target for women. You get with one, and then in a few months they lose attraction like the flip of a light switch. They start to think they could have better due to hypergamy, and they leave you for something newer and exciting. It’s called monkey branching. I have seen this in the last 3 people I’ve dated, and it’s happening with more frequency. The last girl I dated was overweight, but I thought she was so funny and had a sharp mind. /r/PurplePillDebate05/04/19 06:27 PM

I guess personally I would prefer if people were more upfront about it and acknowledged it. You hear the stupid ideals all the time. “It’s what’s on the inside that counts”. People need to own up to the fact that yes, we care what you look like, and we will judge you based on that. Not only that, we need to teach our children that this is how the world is so they know the importance of looking attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/19 06:19 PM
1

Why wrong is wrong is certainly up for debate, and is an entirely different animal. I personally am fond of Immanuel Kant’s categorical imperative. “Act only according to that maxim whereby you can, at the same time, will that it should become a universal law”. So you look at what the effect would be if every single person behaved that way and make the determination if it is wrong that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/19 03:49 PM
1

Based on it being wrong. Which I believe, in cases such as torturing and mutilating kids for fun, exists. If I encounter a person torturing and mutilating a kid for fun, even if I’m in a country where that was legal, I would try to stop them.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/19 03:29 PM

Something can be wrong and still not have justice. What it means for something to be wrong is you should not do it, and should do your best to prevent others from doing it.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/19 03:17 PM

I’m interested in your morality. (You say the word moralizing like it’s a bad thing) From the sound of some of the things you’ve written, it seems like you believe people are essentially “meat machines” and that morality basically doesn’t exist because it’s all just matter doing stuff. So there’s no such thing? It’s impossible to be superficial? The word has no meaning?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/19 01:04 PM
1

What would you consider MOST superficial?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/19 11:54 AM
1

Maybe we should differentiate superficiality of motive from superficiality of outcome. Men are more superficial in thoughts and desires, however women are more superficial in actions and deeds even though it is not their primary motivation or desire. The reason they are is not because they necessarily are obsessed with these traits, it’s because they are given more options. Why would you not select the more attractive option?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/19 12:34 AM
2

I agree with you that men are way more superficial than women. My point is that since men have a “much, much, much lower bar” women can get away with being more superficial, even though it is less important to them.

2

What percentage of people do you think actively want to be seen as unattractive?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/19 11:32 PM

I guess the larger argument is that because of male thirst, women are given more otherwise equal choices. This allows them to be more picky, even though it is less important to them than it is for men.

I’ve never considered the social status factor in female attraction. In this case turning down the shorter man, not because she would not want to be with him, but because other women have devalued him. I’ve also heard that women tend to find tinder inadequate for women. Inadequate in that they are able to find that quick smash as you’ve said, but not a man for life. Women do find timitness actively unattractive. I have heard it from many women. I posted this interaction I had with a woman earlier that considered leaving her husband because he was too timid. Me: “Thank you Tiffany. That’s interesting that you say you were annoyed at first that he would always apologize for things. I think I can do that too, and feel it may come off like I have no back bone. Is that kind of what you are getting at?” Her response: “Yes. That’s exactly what I thought. If you kn…

To a large degree, women dictate the worth of men, both romantically and socially. It is intimidating to face that and the associated attack on your worth. The message men hear all day long: “Men are shit. men are shit. men are rapists. 1 in 4 women are raped. all men are rapists. all men are shit. billboard says domestic violence is wrong. all men are violent. all men are shit. Go to this hr meeting. All men are shit. sexual harassment in the work place. you are shit. you're a man you're shit. …

There is more than just selection bias in timid men not approaching, women find it actively unattractive. I have asked many women questions about relationships, as it’s something I’ve struggled with. Men would have it harder than women if exhibiting this behaviour. Why is it harder for a man that exhibits this behavior? I have recoiled before when touched by a woman due to previous very unhealthy situations. I’ve been hit by women I’ve been in relationships with, and though I wasn’t physically harmed that bad other than a few light bruises, mentally you never just get over the feeling of bracing yourself and waiting for it to end. 1 in 4 men in the United States have experienced domestic abu…

The crux of the argument is that acting self interestedly is toxic, even if it’s good. Very few people act out of pure charity. People donate money because it makes them feel good. That doesn’t make them bad, and certainly not toxic (I really hate that word to be honest). On a scale from most pure to least pure, I would rate motivation for doing good things something like this: Pure Charity - doing what’s right, simply because it is right. Often this will be extremely unpleasant. Something like …

I think the more revealing thing is the difference between what you would sacrifice for each. A woman would take a bullet for her child, but likely not her husband. Men would take that bullet for both. Love can be measured by how much you would be willing to sacrifice, in the case of this example, everything.

Women are by far the primary consumers in the economy. 75% of consumer spending is controlled by women. Obviously women shouldn’t have to just “grin and bear advances”. Just say “I’m sorry but I’m not interested”. The problem is where I lean in for a kiss after a date, and then suddenly I’m accused of being a rapist. I’ve had undesirable women make advances on me, even grab me. All I do is tell them I’m not feeling it. I’ve never had any problems after that.

I’m totally fine with women preventing things they don’t want from happening. If I lean in for an innocent kiss though after a date, and she starts spreading horrible rumors behind my back about how I’m some sort of rapist that is a problem. /r/PurplePillDebate19/11/18 07:53 PM

Wow, a fraction of a percent. That is very enlightening. As for me (man) I could see myself making it work with a pretty large variety of women. If I walked up to a woman at random, and she were cool with it, I could easily see myself pursuing something 30-40% of those women.

There are undesirable men that will try to be bold with women. Women don’t like when this happens, and then justify it being wrong because they didn’t have consent. If a desireable man is just as bold however, it is not only welcome, it’s wanted. Consent is all about giving women power to shame and punish the wrong type of man.

Maybe we could do an experiment. I’ll make a post on twox saying, “Women who fear and avoid all men just because a small number are rapists are neurotic nut jobs”. I will likely be banned, but I’ll let you know how it goes later tonight when I get home.

All I have to say is that just as most women have experienced some form of sexual harassment, most men have experienced manipulation from women. Just as there are varying degrees of sexual harassment, there are varying degrees of manipulation. And a man’s life absolutely can be destroyed by this type of manipulation. I feel sympathy, and want to do what I can to protect women who experience assault. It is suprising to me that men are not shown the same concern with their fears.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/18 01:57 PM
2

Just as not all women will manipulate and falsely accuse, not all men will violently rape, yet you would be chastised pretty hard as a man of you told a woman, “As long as he is sober and sane, you shouldn’t be afraid”
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/18 01:49 PM
5

So why the backlash for men that have this fear? Sure men and women can both do it, but I would say that, just as men are more likely to physically abuse a woman, a woman is more likely to psychologically abuse a man. I would certainly never react to the story you just shared by demanding an apology.

It also leaves one wondering what the dudes style of flirting is if he’s so worried. You literally just validated his fear. This is exactly the type of psychological attack that make men apprehensive. As for the “it being insulting” comment. You don’t see men being insulted when women claim all men are potential rapists. You would certainly face backlash if you said you were insulted by that comment. I mentioned this in previous comments, but I also share this fear of women. I had a woman ask to…

I doubt anyone would call the woman scarred of rapists a neurotic nut job. And if someone did, there would be backlash. I mentioned this in another comment, but I do fear women in this way.
