I have never heard a woman described as creepy. This has me wondering what behaviors make a man creepy? I avoid eye contact with woman, keep my hands in my pockets when I’m with them to avoid looking like a threat, and generally just keep away from them to avoid being stigmatized, especially at work. I didn’t consciously start doing this. It became natural and I noticed it one day after getting into an elevator with a woman who was alone. Hands immediately in my pockets, and eyes directly in front of me. I thought about why I was so tense in that moment, and I realized that it was because there was a woman there. I didn’t want to be shamed at work for being a creepy man. That got me thinking about this more as a whole. I have never heard a women described as creepy ever. In this way, they have more freedom at the workplace and in public, as the ambiance they put off is not being policed. Do you agree with this? Is it possible for a woman to be creepy?
