Great post, this is concise and brilliant. I'm saving it for sure. Need to remind myself of this more.

When I'm successful and make 6 figures (hopefully out of college, if not definitely before I'm 30) I'll purposefully hide my wealth so that women don't see me as beta bucks. You want them to see you as an alpha they can fuck and then move on from, that is if you want to have sex with as many women as possible (I want a 3 digit N count before 30). Otherwise, if they see you as a long term thing, then they will purposefully withhold sex because they don't want to seem like a slut. So you need to a…

As someone with not one mentally ill parent, but two, it fucked me up bad. Like pretty much unfixable damage. My mother has bipolar disorder and she was in and out of a psychiatric ward in my early years. My father is a textbook case of borderline personality disorder. This seriously fucked with my ability to relate to others. I always felt very different to other people growing up. I've been clinically depressed pretty much all my life. My advice to you is to be as loving as you possibly can to…

I see a lot of things here in common with my own life. Broken home, abusive father and bipolar mother. Started lexapro at 15, have also been prescribed mirtazapine (heavy shit) and lithium since. As of now I'm medication free for over 6 months. Tried very hard in school despite the anxiety and depression, didn't let it beat me. Top of my class in math and physics, full scholarship to a top technical university studying computer engineering I'm 20 now and I finally feel ok with my life. Still lon…

Insecurity. Low confidence. Low self-esteem. Believing it's too good to be true. I don't think us men will ever truly realise how incredibly insecure women can be.

I'm from a working class background. A lot of the guys I was friends with before I went to college are like this. Red-pilled without ever being on here. (I'd imagine) However they're only redpilled to the extent that they don't put women on a pedestal. They're still lazy losers. One of them has great game, but nothing to back it up. He spends all day texting women and trying to manipulate them into fucking him. He gets lucky sometimes. Most of them spend all their time getting stoned and playing…

First of all, good fucking job losing the weight and pulling yourself out of depression. You should be proud of yourself. It took me until my first year of college until I really pulled myself out of the insomniac, anti-depressant-fueled hell I was in. I never told a soul about the shit I had going on, I kept my head down and I worked hard, and eventually I got through it. But it was fucking tough and it made me a man. I'll never go through anything tougher than what I've been through. External …

This post is pathetic. It's so unbelievably centered on other people's opinion of you. You talk about a "Chad" fucking a co-ed and then posting it on Snapchat for validation, seriously? Smart people do it on the quiet. They know when they are winning, they don't need to tell anyone. Do what you want to do. Do what you can control.

That's true. It's not the money that gets you laid. But the people who make money generally have desirable traits such as determination, work ethic, a never say die attiude, intelligence, social skill, etc etc. That's what gives women the tingles, not the money itself.

I hope you don't mind if I pick your brain a little. I want the degree on a logical level. I like to think I'm a very logical person. I'm smart enough to do well at it, and a high GPA in a difficult technical subject from a good school will allow me to do a masters in pretty much any school in the world. Pay wise, a bachelors degree in electronic and computer engineering is about as good as it gets. Out of the top 15 highest paying bachelors degrees, 7 out of the 15 are some variation of the deg…

Preach. When it comes down to it, no matter what you're going through, you will never regret going to the gym or studying. Women are not worthy of your attention. Work on yourself, fuck them. Ironically, this is what will make them want you.

I'm in a similar situation, studying computer engineering but hoping to break into investment banking. Also very interested in power dynamics and office politics. I'm aiming for first class honours and willing to do whatever it takes over the next two years or so to get there. I believe I have the natural intelligence, I think it's down to how hard I can work. How much money do you have? Where are you going to go? Do you have a job? Are you going to go to college? "Doesn't really support my goals and dreams" There's not much conviction behind that, is it just a mild annoyance? Or something that's mentally tearing you apart? Generally I'd say yes, do it. It will make you mature and build you into a man. However I don't want you to end up homeless with no future and no money.

What is the point in acknowledging reality? Seriously. What does it give you? Just work on yourself and don't think about anything else. Fall in love with the journey. Set goals and work as hard as you can to reach them. I don't see the point in repeatedly reminding yourself that there are people smarter than you or people better looking than you. What does it give you mentally? Nothing but depressing thoughts.

Making money, sculpting the body of a god and being charismatic enough to charm any woman I want. Three simple things, three things that appeal to the man inside. I don't know any man alive who regretted having too much sex with too many women. I can't imagine that being a regret of mine on my death bed. Money will give me the freedom to do what I want. Body? I love looking at myself in the mirror. Not to mention it helps with the other two.

The one fundamental difference between me and my father is confidence. As others have mentioned, much of his abuse came from insecurity and a need to feel powerful by bullying those weaker than him. He does the same thing in his job. He is a very intelligent man who underachieved heavily due to a lack of confidence. People could sense this a mile away. His bullying behaviour was covering up his insecurity. I have a massive amount of confidence in my abilities. The question for me is never "if", …

Maybe it's a bad thing, but I've never felt the need to argue with others unless it's going to get me something I want. Maybe I'm just inherently deceitful but arguing with people much less intelligent than me about things that don't really matter seems stupid to me. What do I have to gain? Does it make you guys feel better when you win an argument? If it does then you're doing something wrong.

Meh, not really. I was in a really shitty school with a toxic environment. Teachers hated the students, students hated the teachers. It was an all male school. people just laugh There's the biggest problem I see. Sounds like you hang around with losers. Your brother is playing it perfectly, and if you were hanging around smart, successful people they would see through this fool's insecurities and he'd be exposed as the pathetic piece of shit that he is. Engineering. If you ask me, anything else is a waste of time and money. (Unless you're top 5% at it) It's hard but it's worth it if you are capable. Specifically, computer engineering is the most versatile, the most future proof and the most mobile. Also makes the highest amount of money. Can be applied to a shitton of different jobs, everything these days uses electronics, but you also have strong programming skill and strong mathematical aptitude. That skill set is a big time money maker. If t…

First things first, so many guys would kill to be in the position you are in. You have half a million dollars, which you made by doing something you like. You've already done the hard part of life. You're sorted financially and could probably work minimal hours and be financially comfortable. You fucking did it bro. You don't know how much power you have. Like the guys here have said, bragging in a light hearted manner where you don't really believe it is what you want to do For example, I was walking to the store with a girl yesterday, she didn't really need anything, she just came for the walk. On the way back she said something like "i don't know why I went I didn't even buy anything" To which I replied "yeah but you got to be seen walking beside me" Do I actually believe I'm that amazing? I'm gonna go with a different answer. Try to befriend him. Don't agree with the shit he says, but try to get him on his own and have a conversation with him. Try to figure out why he's so angry. Tell him you're there for him if he wants to talk. Play the harmless codger who just wants everyone to be happy. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Childhood abuse / emotional neglect. My mother was in a psychiatric unit for a good chunk of my early years, she is paranoid schizophrenic. My dad is and was an abusive bully. According to my counselor, it's pretty much set in stone that I will feel the way I feel for the rest of my life. (emotionless, dead inside) These neural pathways are made in your formative years and they are pretty much impossible to change. I will always struggle with relationships, especially romantic ones. As an engineering student who trains everyday I know how you feel. Well let me rephrase that, I know how you would appear to feel given the situation you are in. I feel inhuman a lot of the time, like a robot just built for solving differential equations and lifting weights. I'm overly analytical and completely emotionless. I know I need to find a way of spending more time talking to people.

Right, let's break this into manageable parts hating existence while at work Change your attitude towards work. There's always something positive you can take out of your day. Focus on the positives. Try to make someone else happy everyday, it will make you happier as a result. Hold the door for someone, give someone a compliment, do some small things to help others. I wish I could believe you but all my life I've seen evidence to the contrary. I judge people on what they do, not what they say. I'm in college, none of my nerdy, unconfident, probably depressed friends ever get any female attention. Literally zero. In fact, they get subtly mocked and laughed at by women. One friend of mine was brutally shot down by a mutual friend and the females in the group still laugh at him over it. These are good, decent men with a hell of a lot more empathy and compassio…

Show me where I have made the opposite clear. I already directly qualified my statements in the post, which you may want to read again. TRP is a philosophy you can use to get what you want. I know what I want and it doesn't seem to line up with what a lot of guys here want.
/r/askTRP02/11/16 10:13 PM
2

There's no doubt that it works. Any guy I've met who's good with women has used TRP principles. Have I been around shitty people? Probably. I don't see them as inferior, but I sure as hell see them as different. Women are genetically programmed to want a dominant male, they also have different hormones to men. Like I mentioned in my post, we are still essentially animals. I don't blame women for being the way they are, they can't help it. You have a skewed view of TRP. It's not about hating wome…

Yes I do need to lift. I have some kind of eating disorder from being forced to eat when I didn't want to as a kid. I find bulking very difficult. Not to mention my arms are 6'8 , which makes upper body work a pain in the ass. Also, I don't want to sacrifice my speed for basketball, it's my biggest strength as a player. I could definitely afford to put on a few pounds though, you're right. I've got a lot on my plate right now but after these next exams are finished I'll be bulking hard.

I already have read the sidebar and I have a good understanding of TRP principles, I thought I made that clear. Troll or not, this guy is fucking up by making it clear he's a red piller. Also fucking up by depending on a woman for emotional support. You can't be so open about your views, especially controversial ones. I guess lying has always come naturally to me. Whenever my female relations ask me about women, I tell them I haven't found the right girl yet, or that I like a girl in my class but I'm too shy to talk to her. In reality, I'm spinning 3 plates. I feel like manipulating social media is the #1 key to being successful with women in the 17 - 22 range. As a 20 year old with zero social media presence (no FB, Snapchat, Instagram or Twitter) it's a massive handicap. I'm not sure how to go about fixing it. I also take issue with doing something I hate just to get women to like me. I think social media is a complete waste of time, incredibly narcissistic and all in all a cancer on society. Excellent post. Far less cynical view than we are used to seeing when it comes to women. They just want to enjoy themselves, the same as we do. A lot of the time that means not wanting to settle down and have something serious, i.e. sleep around with lots of men. Should we really be angry about this? That's pretty disheartening tbh. I like to think I'm not a shallow guy. I'd genuinely be happy with a nice quiet girl, whos company is enjoyable and I can go places with. My standards for looks are pretty much : don't be obese or deformed, have good teeth, skin and personal hygiene. All pretty much things you can control (minus the deformity). The guys I hang with are retards and I have to hold my tongue constantly, they say and believe the most retarded shit. It's always been the same, I prefer being on my own but that gives off the "omg he's so weird!" vibe to women They joke about how I'm emotionless and how I don't give a shit about anything, probably because I don't engage in their arguments about the most inane bullshit If I shared my true opinions about things I would be seen as sociopathic Fuck, I hate people

I've come to realise that I care more about being at the top compared to other men than actually getting the pussy that comes with it. I'm just obsessed with winning.

My dad was amazed when he saw what I was doing in college. He was very hard on me growing up but now we agree that it was worth it. I turned into the man I'm meant to be. Not a pussified faggot who's never had to struggle with anything. Some of his wisdom / beliefs, that you may agree or disagree with : looks are everything. Women don't give a shit about your intelligence, your money or anything else when it comes to attraction. Your body language, confidence and most importantly your looks are …

I think one thing the guys here have in common is that they know what it's like to struggle with life. You probably wouldn't be here if you hadn't been somewhat unhappy with your life. I think the ones who overcome their struggles are naturally tougher than those who don't go through any struggles at all. Every successful person goes through pain and suffering. Remember that when you see those around you drinking it up every week and partying all the time.

Bed at 11, awake at 5.30 Sleep in till 7 on weekends. Occasionally I get to bed earlier during the week, it's usually about 6 hours a night though, so 4 REM cycles. I found when I stopped masturbating 3 times a day I had way more energy and I learned that I didn't actually need as much sleep as I thought I did. I had been doing that from the age of 12, hardcore porn addict. Also I eat a lot of fruit and vegetables with lots of water, meat is harder on the digestive system to I try to minimize it…

Silence or laughter are the best responses.

This should come naturally to anyone with a thick skin. If you grew up in an male dominated alpha environment this stuff is second nature. Men are constantly trying to rise each other. Sport too, anything is used to gain an edge. You need to have supreme confidence in yourself to the point where the fact that anyone would even have the audacity to try and bring you down is just laughable. I've heard it referred to as the killer instinct.

I've been through so much depressing shit mentally that I've gotten pretty tough. Abusive parents, loner in school, sitting on my own all day, talking to nobody for months on end. I experienced depersonalisation, where my life no longer felt real, it was like an abstract concept. I was inside of this body, but I just wasn't really "there". It's hard to explain without going through it yourself. I've developed unbreakable frame and a knack for reading people. The frame is a result of surpressing …

Give me a bland, average looking girl with a nice personality over a hot stupid, stuck up bitch any day of the week, I have a low tolerance for stupidity

Started this recently, been a loner all my life, to an extreme extent. Never left the house unless necessary, avoided all social interaction. Now I'm in college studying computer engineering I've started branching out to others and it's helping me a lot. Probably a bit Machiavellian seeing as I only talk to those who are doing better than me, lol. I'll get first class honours because I'm willing to do whatever it takes, and sacrifice whatever I need to sacrifice.

I had a much more negative outlook before I found TRP. Now I see what's happening, I've been able to accept it, internalize it and dedicate my life to other things which I deem more important.

I find solace in hard work. It gives me comfort to know that everyday I can work myself to exhaustion, so that when I go to sleep at night I know that I have done all I can to move closer to my goals. I can do this everyday and nobody can take it away from me. In some ways it's all I have in life. Control is something that is greatly important to me. I firmly believe in the idea that you should focus on the things you can control and forget about everything else. The bottom line is, you cannot c…

Tbf, in your second example the guy impregnated another guys wife aswell. So it's not like he isn't getting the advantages of the open relationship. And they all live together like a happy family, two couples sharing 6 kids. I'm going to be honest, I'm not even religious but these people make me feel queasy. The whole thing is bizarre and I think it goes outside of what we would look at as alpha/beta. This is some other shit. What a fucking mess.
