Is bragging bad?

If you ask me, there are two types of brag.

There's typical male braggadocio, kinda like when you said "going out whith anyone else is boring compared to me", which when it's delivered just right is a panty moistener in its own right. I use this type of bragging all of the time as well. It's a great spicy ingredient to use even in LTR. "is this guy fucking for real??" is exactly the response you want to be grinning at.

Then there's the second type of brag, where some dumbass is trying to sell himself to the girl or buy her affection by advertising all his unique job prospects, amazing connections, and high level dungeons and dragons avatars. The difference with this second type is that he is actually trying to convince the girl of something with facts, figures, and corporate charts. Look how good I am, I am so good!!! Like she's going to respond to that, see the light and drop everything because he drives a better car this month than he did last month.

The first type of asshole would never even think of trying to convice the girl, he's so full of himself and 100% sure that he is in fact THE SHIT (even if he isn't), that it just comes across as very funny and endearing for all involved, including the braggart himself who doesn't reeeeeally mean it (maybe) but that won't stop him now or ever, 'cause he's unstoppable by nature.

If you actually have something worth braging about, you won't need to brag... Others will see it.

Be a doer not a talker

Bragging overtly is lame.

Communicate that stuff subtly.

Instead of saying "I work out and am strong as hell" say something like "I was at the gym the other day and saw this guy on the treadmill almost fall off when a girl in yoga pants walked by" or some other little story.

You dropped a hint that you work out but that wasn't the point of the story.

Like the guys here have said, bragging in a light hearted manner where you don't really believe it is what you want to do

For example, I was walking to the store with a girl yesterday, she didn't really need anything, she just came for the walk.

On the way back she said something like "i don't know why I went I didn't even buy anything"

To which I replied "yeah but you got to be seen walking beside me"

Do I actually believe I'm that amazing? No. It's just light hearted joking, even if there may be some semblance of truth in it.

Another line I use if I'm talking to a girl and she has a boyfriend

"Is he more handsome than me?"

Along with a shit eating grin. Their reaction is generally a "Is this guy serious" or "you're such an asshole" along with a giggle. Works a charm.

Another time we were going to the library and one of my friends said they "don't like my kind there", in a joking way, to which I replied "that's because my results are too high, they see me coming and say this guy is too smart and too handsome, it's not fair on everyone else"

Again, over the top bravado I don't really believe, but the way I delivered it had everyone laughing.

Another time we saw a BMW x6, and I said "give me 5 years and I'll have one, actually make that 3"

When I'm leaving "don't miss me too much"

It's all about the delivery. I do have good exam results and I am handsome, but I only ever talk about it in a light hearted, over the top way. When talking about it seriously, I downplay my achievements and come across as humble as possible. In reality I'm as cocky as they come, but people don't like that.

Also only bother with this around females, men are just going to get resentful.

Don't brag, just avoid being humble.

Speak the truth to your value. It's fine. If the words are backed previously and demonstrably by actions and social proof, you're only being honest.
