I was trying to do the same that one would do with the 3 second rule - except that she was behind a bar to begin with so I'm not going to just run over there. That and she wasn't acting congruent with her texts so i felt i had to do something. I like what yundot said, but I did it more instinctually than premeditated - what he said was the end result.

I really do agree with you, and it was very much my anti-style. However, at the time it seemed to be the only thing that "do it" for her. I would have thought compliments would be nothing to her because it is a breastaurant sports bar, however negging/teasing didn't do much. Compliments did, and I went with it.

I definitely agree that it in five of the instances the case was I tipped well and made appropriate small. PUA techniques didn't really aid me - i just assumed they would probably work because i went there to hang out with my pal and the shot girl usually followed. In two cases it was the first time I had been there so all they had to go off of was what i projected myself to be - very confident and that i know what's going. Insider secret, I don't know what's going.

I always seem to have a knack at picking up servers/bartenders at restaurants i frequent semi-often. Restaurants I've been successful: On the Boarder and Breastaurants x6 I'm not a great looking person by any means (6'2" 190 - advocate of /r/malefashionadvice but with some reserves). But i go there and genuinely try to have a good time with a good friend you can talk with. It helps that my friend is very extroverted so if his "song" comes on then he will go dance in the middle of the place regar…
