First and foremost, no point in denying it. She heard and laughed, so it's not like she's pissed at you. Couple of options here. You can play dumb, "I guess? I never really thought of it that way though." There's joking, "Yeah, chill girls." There's acceptance, "Sure, but I don't see you as just a type."

The Game, Neil Strauss. He started later in life, I think his 40s. That will provide you a good jumping off point for a reading list as well. Models by Mark Manson is often recommended. Haven't gone through it myself, but intuition says there's got to be something there.

Think of someone you are truly just not interested in. Think and consider how much effort it would take on their party for you to become interested in them. Is it, "it doesn't matter because I'm not interested in them"? Reverse the roles. Learn to read people. Corollary to this point, master your body language. Live a life people want to be a part of.

Came across this a while back. Was thinking of doing it as it's own post, but never got around to it. Here seems just as good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBuZMl0CcPY Hits on some of the topics here, and seems like solid advice.

To echo what others are saying... I think there is definitely some information here that will be useful. Being confident with yourself(and how to display it), knowing how to keep a conversation going, knowing how to dress/standard upkeep(willing to bet you already have that down), knowing when and how to approach someone you're interested in, things like that. Some of it will need to be tailored to your specific situation. But that kinda goes hand in hand with all of this. You learn the whole to…

Kinda my take. The sub is still on my front-page, but it's something I view in passing most time. I feel like I've more or less "Graduated", so there isn't a lot for me to be involved in. Normally by the time I get to a thread someone else has already said what I was going to, but better.

Strauss commented he felt Tyler was being fake in all his interactions. Like, he just wanted you to like and trust him. That's the story in the book anyway. Hindsight/artistic license being what it is.

Because our detractors have better PR. Also, There aRe Places that can give us a bad name, which is easy to latch onto and say "See? They're all like that." And, the fact that if you've done everything well, people don't notice you're doing anything at all. When I've actually say down with people, and they've been willing to listen, and I've explained some of the misconceptions, people tend to see things in a more positive light. Really lasts though.

What did you do for a date? Standard dinner/coffee? You can probably reference the awkwardness. "Seemed like we were both a little off last time, but I'd still like to do it again." Try and find something where there's more to talk about than just yourselves. I'd normally recommend a county Fair, but it's winter in the US, so... Might need to get creative.

Failure is not learning. You learned. Guys on here are saying number 2 was a shit test, which might be possible, but it's hard to tell without context. Regardless, I think opening with a compliment (again, context) is probably not your best bet. See what today brings.

There are no unworthy men. We're kinda fortunate in that regard. Our value is derived from confidence. Which is something we can train. So, a lot of the advice here is shit. The fact no one has mentioned bars are a terrible place to meet women is evidence of that. You're in classes, all day, everyday, with new people. Show up 5 minutes early. Sit in a new seat, every day, every class and talk to your new neighbor. I'm not comfortable with that. Yeah, that's the fucking point. Learn to talk to new people sober. You're going to continue that 90% rate of yeses and nos, but that's ok. Hell, that's normal. You aren't going to connect…

I remembered "No More Mr. Nice Guy" as being a feminist-friendly book that gave life advice for men but didn't cater to the MRA/PUA/RedPill community. ... I always thought it was more about conflict resolution and making lasting friendships than about trying to pit various genders against each other To me, these are the things the community is about. From what I've experience there is nothing inherently misogynistic, as we so often get painted, about the community at all. I think guys who come h…

I can't believe no one has said body language (eye contact was mentioned). Half of what you say isn't even spoken. It's likely in the way he holds himself and moves. I'd bet he rarely slouches and walks with confidence. Might also be the smell of a girl on him.

I would say this would come off as feeling guilty. I feel like this has a better frame. "I'm here with you now, I'm not going to think about other girls."

I would try to meet some people during the day and go out with them at night. You always look better with a group. Doubly so if you're leading it. But it may not be to much of an issue, Vegas is a vacation town. You'll probably meet a lot of people on their own. Where is your family going to be during this time out?

Eye contact. Smile. Talk to everyone. Good money some of the people in the building will be new too. If not in your building, in your classes. Just like freshman year. Once you have a decent base of friends, you can start to spread out.

Really depends on what your relationship to the girl is, but I would go with "Nah, I only date fun outgoing girls." Eye contact. Let it hang for a second, then laugh. Tone is going to be very important on this one. Definitely a "Not what you say it's how you say it" kind of comment.

I don't think this is a good idea. If the book is as good as everyone says (I've not read it) then they should be encouraged to read the book. Putting together a summary allows them to just gloss over the information meaning they won't really absorb it. This stuff isn't about quick fixes, it's supposed to be a journey to better yourself. It only has an effect if you put in the effort.

If you want to people to stop using the notation, then stop using the notation. Can't remember the last time I assigned a number to a girl's appearance/personality. Aside from the fact everyone seems to have their own ranking system, there are a plethora of other words you could use to describe someone.

Agree on the qualification opener, if you can manage it. Disagree on the played out part. The "the sky is falling" stuff always came up when mystery had his show. It was bs then, it's bs now. If a girl challenges on it, agree and amplify.
/r/seduction13/04/13 10:16 PM

Girls don't Friend Zone guys. Guys Friend Zone themselves. Bettering yourself is a journey, not just a short Q&A session. To help yourself, you'll need to stick around awhile and commit. You will have to be comfortable pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. What steps have you taken already?

There isn't one set of tools to building a better you. I've tried techniques out that I picked up from the community, and after a few tries, decided those techniques weren't for me, so I don't use them. This isn't an all or nothing way of life, you can pick and choose the parts you want. Another thing to keep in mind is that sometimes you need to give people what they need, not what they want.

If you can attract subtle but good attention, and give the same subtle, good attention back, you will be amazed at how many people are drawn to you... If you are the most insecure guy in the room, I doubt very much you will be able to "give the same subtle good attention back".

If it's been a while and you're out of the military, I might give it another shot. I'm not sure how you define high school behavior, but it's not a phrase I would use to describe the hashes I've been to. But every kennel is different. I also try not to hold it against a girl if she likes sex. I bet a number of us here would jump at the opportunity to get laid that often. I will try and find out a girl's history if I can, and it will influence my decision, but I'd do the same thing at a bar given…

I had my brother come with me to my first hash (He started before I did). While it's not common for someone to "cum all on their own" it's not unheard of either. Just find out where they are and show up ready to run. I might wait for a trail that starts at a bar or public venue rather than someone's house though.

It's never been an issue for me. I grab a water sometime after circle, and I'm generally good. I have Irish heritage, so... if you're more prone to hangovers, 16 oz of water and a multivitamin before you hit the sack.

Down downs (where I've been) are like 4 ounces of beer. You always do have the option of asking for a "stunt liver," though this is generally frowned upon. If you find a hash more into running than drinking (NYC main, 8 mile trails, regular gatorade at beer check), you might be fine. Also, might just not be for you.

Completely forgot to mention the Dress Runs. They're a blast. Running through the streets of a city getting all these strange looks from the normal folk. Casually chatting up girls at the bar in a dress definitely helps expand your comfort zone.

I can see the resemblance, and sometimes they'll just do straight up pub crawls. The introduction of the Hares and Hounds game gives it a bit of a different element, though. Plus, Hashers just seem... friendlier towards one another than a bunch of randoms out at an advertised pub crawl.

I first thought it seemed kind of insane to drink, then run, then drink when I started, especially seeing as how I didn't like beer. It actually works out really well. Not sure why. Some sort of interaction with endorphins and alcohol I would guess.

I would guess this wouldn't work, simply from experience. I've had girls, who were friends, make comments along these lines and it hasn't really changed my perception. But the qualifier might be at least SOME level of mutual attraction, of which I had none.

Have you read No More Mr. Nice Guy by Robert Glover? Being Smart is more about doing what is necessary. In High School, I never studied. Never had to. A and B student, with AP classes anyway. In college, the classes got harder, to the point where I was down in the math department every night working on problems with the tutors, and helping other students (Which is THE BEST way to fully understand something, provided you partially understand it to begin with). I did what was needed, because that …

This seems like a calibration issue. The old saying of "If there was a magic line to make a girl open her legs, everyone would be using it" kind of applies here. Every girl is going to respond to different things. If you want to be good with EVERY girl, you are going to need to learn how to calibrate in on them. However, if you've tailored your game specifically to pickup one kind of girl, then the one's who don't respond you probably wouldn't have wanted in the end run anyway. Regardless, i hav…

I agree your outer game could use some tweaking, but I think it would be a mistake to lump lifestyle and inner game together. Hypothetically, someone could be throwing parties every weekend, and people might go just because that's where the party is. But if he doesn't have the confidence to approach, or the know how to attract, it's not going to go anywhere.

That's fine, but you still could have been getting numbers from other girls to follow up later. Do it right in front of her. If she gives you crap about it, turn it around. I can't come up with a good example at the moment, just back from work/gym and my brain is fried. Seddit crowd source, GO!

Being a virgin only matters if you think it matters. Once I stopped letting that one thing about me define me, it went away pretty quickly. I think the very important point was that when you do something "bad," instead of blaming yourself, step back and ask "How does this really affect the world? My world? What can I do differently in the future?" Instead of blaming yourself and trying to be perfect, accept that you're not, and recognize practical ways you can improve yourself.

Enhance the neg. If she says something like "I think this dress makes me look frumpy." look her up and down and reply "Yeah, I can see that" make eye contact for a few seconds with a straight face, and then put on your flirting smile. Ok, I think I get the picture. My guess would be this stems from inexperience (or bad experience) and poor frame control. For starters, Human beings are social creatures. We would never have survived as a species if we didn't come out of our caves, or basements, and worked together with each other. Socializing is literally something we NEED to survive.
