I am gay, and have been banned from multiple gay reddits because I follow this group

I love how they say it’s the first of its kind. There used to be so many gyms just for men, including the YMCA dozens and dozens and thousands and thousands until the awfuls showed up. EDIT: unrelated, but Pilates was originally created and invented by a man for men

"...and would gladly hold back my questions if they made others uncomfortable" One should never hold back asking questions in such a setting. If this is how you already felt in the situation, it's already bad

It’s long past time to keep all parties confidential until all is legally settled. The one-sidedness is just beyond. We really need to lobby for this

thanks for that. many many many years of therapy really work wonders. The best part? I'm still here and she's not

As someone who was repeatedly raped and tortured sexually by my mother my entire childhood til I was around 15yo, I count myself lucky that I never fathered a child with her

"Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide." Absolutely NOTHING about raising awareness for women's issues (they get all the press anyway)

I work a a few venues in L A , and this kid was booked at a few of them I was working at. I was so disgusted by the exhibition of it all. Worst of all — his parents, were (from my point of view) pimping him out. Their eyes were literally $$$. I have a pretty good constitution for observing very alternative stuff… but this sent me over and I refused to work the show. I just put all lights up and went outside. He was booked at another venue, and I read the riot act about how AEG should not be book…

West Hollywood wasn't so bad 10 years ago. I could literally leave my front door unlocked when I went to the corner bodega. No way we can do that now

I live a mile and a half from my job. It’s a concert venue in West Hollywood. I love it cos I like to walk to work. It used to be pleasant and quiet when I’d walk home at 1 or 2 am… til after lockdown. Since then, crime has been noticeably up since before lockdown with many people getting bashed and robbed after midnight. So, walking home with my backpack filled with my MacBook plus my phone and watch, I have given up on walking and now bike to and fro. Still, even on my bike, I have to be super…

One paragraph of this story reminds me of s1 ep1 of Alfred Hitchcock Presents — Revenge — where after a man’s wife suffers a traumatizing attack, she sees the man who attacked her. The husband beats and kills the man, only later to realize she keeps seeing other men that remind her of the attacker

Since I am no fan of women in gay bars, I hope this bites them in the ass when they take over my bar and start hootin at the gogo boys

I would re-write this exactly, but replace men/man with different versions and send it back to her: Black - Gay - Homeless - Ugly - Trans - Tall - Short - Fat - Jew - Muslim - Right Wing - Clown - etc, etc

California state government did this a few years ago — forcing by, law, large companies to have their boards be half women. It was just (obviously) stuck down as being unconstitutional

You can trace every bit of current strife to American news media. They are pot stirrers, race baiters and riot mongers.

There need to be legislation that would require all parties involved be anonymous — that he has been portrayed as some kind of monster in the press while her identity is “protected” is shameful

This reminds me of that guy that sued an airline company because some kid was flying alone, and they made the man move his seat because a man shouldn't be sitting alone next to a child. Does anyone else remember this? And what ever happened to the suit?

When I was growing up, there was The Boys Club - a charity community space for boys all around the country to learn camaraderie and manliness (I guess). As a shy, quiet, and somewhat feminine-ish boy, it was a great place to learn boy stuff. Then, someone made a fuss, and it became the Boys And Girls Club, my fist public induction to feminism. When I read old books, or books of the past - movies too - There were Mens clubs. Sherlock Holmes' brother, preferred The Diogenes Club. These kind of pla…

I was sexually abused and tortured by my mother since a toddler til I was 15. Only stopping because she died. Teen years were horrible depression, and 20’s were self imposed isolation as well. 15 years of psychotherapy that I started at 27. I still have ptsd and bpd, but I am now happy and able to handle myself when things pop up. I will forever be broken. I would like to have a very long talk with this judge.

What stuns me the most about this, is other white people justifying her. I have read from several pundits that are white “it is not possible to be racist against white people”. Truly truly stunned.

All right. Jeez. I think it’s pretty outrageous that people think he should do that, and wanted to hear what all you had to say. Don’t know why I’m getting all the hate.

Hey I read the article. I read that there is a petition to force him to relinquish his pay. I didn’t post this as click bait. That’s how I read it. No hate please cos I didn’t intend to mislead. I’ll delete if you want. Man.

Welp. Geez I’m sorry. Don’t think there’s any reason to get snarky because I accidentally didn’t meet the requirements of posting. If I could edit it in the app on my phone, I would. So you’ll all have to wait til I get home for that. In the meantime - I thought this was relevant to the group.

Cute. But I’m not trying to be funny here. Weinstein is a troll of the highest order. But he only got away with it because of all the people - men AND women - who let him get away with it. ASI, let us not forget the women in power who have also harassed and abused. Or the boys who have had their souls bruised forever by predatory men and women in Hollywood.
