I'm fairly certain we all agreed that it is a shitty financial decision. Expensive upfront cost, negligible benefits, and extremely high cancellation fee.

The breakthroughs in psychology aren't found in university research. All about the pharma labs, ad agencies, and sales/marketing departments with the sizable budgets and huge sample sizes. Edit: Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion explores how far ahead business is in psych research. Companies like Google, Facebook, ComScore, etc. also have mountains of data that academic researchers can only dream of. Part of the fun being on the business side. Also the reason that statisticians, data scien…

Even then it won't be safe. There was a small byline separate from the main Panama papers about an ex-wife going for the money in the off-shore accounts after already getting a sizable chunk in the divorce proceedings.

Yo man. Tuxedos are awesome. Joking aside. You should stage an intervention. What you're talking about is more intrinsic vs. extrinsic motivation rather than validation. Intrinsic motivation is the desire to seek out new things and new challenges. It is driven by an interest or enjoyment in the task itself, and exists within the individual rather than relying on external pressures or rewards. Extrinsic motivation refers doing something in order to attain a desired outcome (money, fame, praise/validation). Extrinsic motivation comes from influences outside of the individu…

I continue to get this advice from friends. What useless fucking advice. Nobody operates the same with everyone, otherwise you would be deemed a fucking crazy person. Unplugging provides a level of self awareness that few avenues nurture.

Not advice, but an answer to a valid question. Me - "Dad how did you get fat?" Dad - "Married, desk job, and two kids." Taking a look at pictures I know that he used to be fit, drinker, smoker, and generally doing whatever the fuck he wanted. Especially at his sweet government contractor job early on in his career. Apparently it all went downhill until he discovered meditation or something.

Attractive, from a powerful family, AND a prime minister of a 1st world country. He could probably get away with being a serial killer and women would still love him.

All women are like that. In that certain scenarios women will all act the same. Usually revolving hardships, hence that money being the main driver for divorces, perceived loss of value, loss of circumstantial control, etc. Also that women are primarily driven by emotions in the NOW rather than rationality or how we like to joke "fees fees" or "feels".

I'd be okay with Gawker burning. In the same way that Business Insider and Buzzfeed keeps mucking up my newsfeed. Future of news my ass. Edit: I would hardly call them journalism. Last year it was 30 books in a year and this year I raised it up to 40 books. My favorite so far in 2016 are Nudge: Improving Decisions About Health, Wealth, and Happiness by Richard Thaler. In a close second is The Quick and Easy Way to Effective Speaking by Dale Carnegie. Over the past year I've read a lot of Robert Greene, Alexandre Dumas, and Frank Herbert. One shouldn't spend all their time in a single genre.

As much as fancy homes, expensive cars, and first class travel seems appealing. It's just a facade to fill an empty void for a lot of people. I see bits and pieces of it in close friends and family. Having a small condo (it's not like you should be spending much time in it other than for sleeping), riding a bike, a minimalist wardrobe, and traveling the world for pennies on the dollar is far more satisfying. Plus the insurance and maintenance of all the high life shit sounds awful.

People who become wealthy without actually earning it, or know how to manage it beforehand, inevitably blow it. The horror stories of people who won the lottery is indicative enough. However the length to which women go for their ex-husbands money puts everything to shame.

It was a hard deadline. Went from 130 to 230 pounds and then dropped to 190 for Nolan's desired physique for Bruce Wayne. You mentioned generation, which doesn't differentiate from men and women. I want to find out both the median and the mean for men and women separately, but I have an inkling that the average for girls is much higher than guys. Edit: Would have to exclude gays because good lord gay guys get around. Well at least in NYC due to the significant number of gay bars and clubs. Edit 2: Also have to isolate differences by DMA, since sexual market place can vary wildly depending on demographics.

It's less MGTOW, because marriage definitely served a useful purpose prior to the current society we find ourselves in, and simply a man who did what he wanted and fuck anyone who attempted otherwise.
/r/MGTOW09/10/15 05:57 AM

No. I've make it clear that courting girls are a waste of my time and money. If I'm not at least moderately entertained by her, then she serves no utility in my life. Game is simply understanding social interactions, primarily between men and women, and using it to your advantage. While you may perceive it as taking "too much energy" you 100% have a working knowledge of it and have used it in the workplace whether it is getting people to do what you want, landing a sale, negotiating a raise/promotion, etc. It is essential in getting what you want professionally and socially. Looks and assets can take you far, but having the complete package is ideal. I, like …

It is definitely true in NYC. I've been disregarded for being 5'10" far more than I would care to admit. I won't begrudge double standards because they can be entertaining when used for stoking the hamster, but damn that height shit is infuriating. Edit: A decent amount of it can be mitigated by wearing clothing that makes you appear taller, but if a girl is wearing heels good luck.

Didn't something similar happen to the Williams sisters when they played someone ranked outside the top 200 in men's tennis? I know that when Annika Sorenstam, one of the most successful players on the LPGA tour, was allowed to play a unimportant PGA tournament and missed the cut finishing 96th. Good luck on living in downtown Manhattan unless you earn $100k+ and/or have roommates. Note that the median HHI in NYC is $55k, but you'll have to live further out from the city center to survive with that. Buschwick BK, Bed-Stuy BK, Long Island City Queens, and the Southern parts of Bronx come to mind for 1 bedrooms under $1k. While some of the neighborhoods aren't technically that far away from downtown Manhattan, it'll still take a minimum 30 minutes by public transit.

OP isn't all that off. "Downtown" Manhattan is flexibly anything south of 34th street, which includes East/Greenwich/West Village, Chelsea/Meatpacking, Flatiron, Murray Hill, LES, etc. and all have extensive options for dining and drinks. The expensive areas are definitely West/Greenwich Village, Chelsea, Upper West (south of 96th st), Upper East (south of 96th), Williamsburg, Dumbo, questionably Park Slope, and a few other neighborhoods I'm forgetting.

Day game always. Personally I've had the most fun waiting in line at the coffee shop on the weekends. The single biggest difference I've noticed is that at night girls expect you to pay, while paying for a cup of coffee is unexpected and occasionally grateful. It helps that a cup of black coffee is a tenth of the price of a mixed drink. Also yoga. There are few things as excellent as a hot yoga class filled with attractive girls.

Tinder is a pure, unadulterated reflection of men and women's sexual strategy. Looks are all that matters on the platform and keeping contact exclusively to get a number/set up a date is the best way to use it. While pharma companies would prefer repeat usage and visits, the only guarantee for consistency is with the chronic conditions. For episodic they build in adherence loss into the pricing. I'm sure they would do the same calculation for male birth control and price accordingly.

It is unfortunate that male birth control isn't a high priority by pharma companies. It is a huge untapped market and if it ever clears FDA approval potential blockbuster status by sheer volume if not by price of treatment. Tinder is basically our biological needs writ large. Men want to spread their seed as wide as possible "always swiping right" and women want to capture the most attractive they can manage "selective right swipe". Work out, go to a clothing store with a close female friend to work out a new warddrobe, work on posture/body language, eliminate umms, likes, and errs from your daily speech, and find a hobby or interest of some sort that can be common ground, be it music, movies, food, etc. Once you feel comfortable with yourself everything will fall into place.
/r/seduction21/09/11 11:47 AM

First indication is how long a girl is looking at you. If it's 2+ seconds, then chances are you can approach and talk to her. Second indication is knowing what a normal face is and what a lack of interest face is, I'm sure you know those two, so by powers of deduction you can figure out that you at least capture her interest. Personally I don't know the fuck-me eyes, but I can at least recognize the gaze of a woman who is on the prowl and the look of a woman who is interested.

When it comes to banter I just start on something that seems like common ground. Alcohol, music, food, clubbing, etc. Once you get onto a topic you know well/has a story that's relevant, then you're on a roll, it's also a good way of figuring out whether your interests match.

It's good to get drunk, but only enough to overcome any social anxiety. Any more than that and you're just shooting yourself in the foot. I usually write down what happened if the encounter was positive. Most of the time the details are fuzzy due to the alcohol involvement, but I try and get pieces together by asking friends who were around. A week or so ago I met a HB9 on the dance floor and after awhile I got her name, age, and what she does. Due to circumstance and alcohol, I lost her and hopefully will see her around. Being with friends is great when going out, but you do not need a wingman or wingwoman to help you score. Omega, Alpha, and that stuff doesn't matter as long as you look and feel confident.

You'll probably need a wingwoman to help assess your performance or else just ask the woman you got with, after you've been on a date or two. It's complicated to know, since what works for one woman may not work for another, preferences.

You have to communicate with girls mostly through facial expressions and body language. Eye contact for a second or two, flash a smile, and if you get a positive response walk to her and start dancing. You can overcome approach anxiety by simply not talking. If you actually want to talk, then you have to bring her with you to the bar or chance venues entirely.

Holy shit man, you need to fix yourself. Work out, change your clothes, change your posture, ANYTHING that can increase your confidence in yourself. http://thechive.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/awesome-desktop-wallpapers-12.jpg I don't know how I can possibly give you proper advice to change your mindset, but NEVER sell yourself short. The world isn't a kind place, so never shut the door on yourself, that's just stupid.

Never ever mention it... ever. Tell your friend he/she should never talk about it outside of your social circle, so unfair/unnecessary. Also when hitting on girls at least have a wingman who will back you up unconditionally, one who is willing to exaggerate a story for your sake. I'm a virgin to, but rarely mention it outside my group of friends and has never been an issue when hitting on girls, usually the one messing up the chance is me and me alone.

Subtle. During the day I generally keep to myself, but when it comes to nightlife I like to get out there. I feel as though I change significantly when the sun goes down.

Even if you don't want it, just fucking take it. People generally aren't nice, and when they are you should at least meet halfway. Also all the best stories start with a yes. Usually preceeded by fuck.

Keep calm and carry on, but in all seriousness move on to the next girl. Feelings should be mutual, and if she isn't giving you the same love back it isn't going to work.

http://thechive.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/awesome-desktop-wallpapers-12.jpg Confidence can make up for looks. If you lack it, then start working out, change the way you dress, etc. The more comfortable you are in your own skin, then most likely your confidence will increase. Also posture is a good way to improve. Stand up straight, head held high, and walk with a sense of purpose and direction. Small things can help tremendously.

I won't kid myself that I know what women are thinking, but the first thing women see is HOW YOU LOOK. In my experience first impressions are REALLY FUCKING IMPORTANT. Everything else that people say is more important is found out by talking, but you need to get in the door first.
/r/seduction12/09/11 09:38 PM

Eye contact, hold out your hand, get close/dance, and then move venues. Words don't need to be involved. Body language is 90% of game anyway.

Depends. I'm not particularly interested in a partner, I just want to have fun with as many attractive women as possible.

Two problems with clubs. 1) impossible to hold a decent conversation and 2) never know if the music is going to be any good. I'm probably in the younger part of the reddit demographic.

http://www.wikihow.com/Build-Muscle-at-Home Don't exercise everyday, you have to give your muscle some rest, so I recommend MT, rest on W, then ThF. Weekends should be limited to running and stretching. Forgot to mention, eye contact is crucial, but you first have to get the attention of a woman. Ideally you do something a bit crazy, outside your comfort zone, but not completely insane. Experiment first by going to bars or clubs that you don't frequent as much. Doing something a little ridiculou…

You can capitalize on the nerdiness. Thinkgeek, FullBleed, and Topman has plenty of shirts that have the right amount of dork/adorable/awesome. You might want to bulk up a bit, you don't have to get a gym membership or anything, but just set up a simple exercise regime to build some upper body muscle. Also a lot can be said for proper posture, it is an essential part of body language, so it's best to start with a proper foundation. If it helps at all, but I was basically the same as you at the b…

Prioritize. Which girl would you deem more worthy of your limited time and money? You can't really calibrate until you've spent some "quality" time with her i.e. a little dancing, decent conversation, and maybe a few drinks. I love New York City, my absolute favorite place in the world.

If you managed to do this once, then try it again. Walk up to an attractive woman, compliment her on whatever makes her attractive and something else about her, flash a wide/non-creepy smile, and continue on with your day. You'll slowly become more comfortable to just approaching women and give off a vibe of being confident and not completely shallow.

Fending off competitors is always a pain in the ass, but it's much easier to do so at a club. All you have to do is wrap your arms around the girl and bring her closer to you, assuming you've already been briefly acquainted on the dance floor.
/r/seduction11/09/11 06:37 PM

Invite her and her friends to a party or something, then after some small talk on the way to the party get to "know" her better at the venue. Just throwing an idea out there.

but you miss out on the natural flow of the conversation by being equally drunk with people in the room. plus when I'm drunk I dance better, so getting girls to dance with me only works when I'm drunk.

A real bro wouldn't cut into your game, more than anything he should encourage the two of you getting it on. In any case I don't follow bros before hoes, since it's overly simplistic/juvenile. Also not plural, you only need 1 wingman.

It could potentially work, I've seen a friend do it before. With correct body language and brimming with confidence I'm sure you could pull it off. I don't think I'd have the balls to do it in a shop though, but definitely bar, club, or party.

I usually go with getting the girl's attention, eye contact for roughly 3-5 seconds, and hold out my hand. Works reasonably well, especially when the getting attention bit is something funny/stupid, unique, and not specifically for the girl. I always go to clubs with friends, but I don't need a wingman for an approach like that.

My self confidence has been terrible for most of my life, but has increased exponentially since the start of this year, turning 20 soon. Work out regularly so I have a decent body, dress sharp, and always have a wingman. More than anything just try and be comfortable in your own skin. Whether it be through working out, dressing better, or getting confidence boosters from friends, just try and have faith in who you are. Even if you were shot down, there are plenty of fish in the sea, you just hav…

I felt the same, after a long relationship I had no game anymore, but there are ways to remedy this. Find yourself a good group of friends, they can help you out in times of need, start working out, if you look good, then chances are you'll be more confident in yourself, and check out bars that are good for socializing, there are usually places on the internet that can inform you of things like that. Once you've had some successes and a general good feeling about how you look, you'll be back on …

"Just wanted to say that you're beautiful. Have a nice day." Sprinkling that throughout the day makes for interesting conversation. Takes you farther than you might expect. Of course with confidence and good posture, also helps looking like you're going to something important.

Well it's currently large bedroom with a bed, side table, sofa, floating bookshelves, large chest, bookshelf, and a walk in closet. My floor is covered with wires, books, magazines, and my clothes. I'm moving out permanently soon, so I gotta gather my stuff up. My dream room is on the side of my dream house facing the Pacific Ocean. Floating bed in the center of the room and a single sheet of glass that gives an uninhibited view of the Pacific Ocean. Think Tony Stark's room from Iron Man.

Sounds exactly like my behavior after my break up two months ago. I was strangely amused/frustrated, but I got closure recently, so now I'm perfectly okay with being a dick. Go and be selfish for awhile, I'm sure enough shit happened to justify fucking around.
