Having sex earlier in a relationship actually makes it more likely that you'll continue to having a relationship with that person. Granted, you don't want to take some crazy woman home from the bar, but in againer's case extracting wouldn't have hurt his situation a bit.

Something dismissive without being reactive can work, too. "Wow, you must be fun at parties. Is he always like this?" But if you react, you lose.

I'm no okcspecialist, but I go for a fast in-person close on OKC. As soon as you've talked enough to establish that you're not a creep (a couple messages back and forth or ~30 minutes on chat), figure out a way to meet in person. People are on there to meet other people, not chat online. Waiting around online to chat with them is totally beta. Be a man and make a date.

I don't really like calling the option of walking away a "threat," but the ability to walk away at any time is definitely important in a relationship. It shows that you're with her because you want to be with her, not because you need to be with her. A relationship should be based on trust and appreciation. You're with each other because you're attracted to each other, not because you need each other. Neediness will eventually kill any relationship. Resentment will do the same. Let her know that…

Fucking great job! Sounds like you opened well, engaging the guy first, DHVed with the playful negs, and locked into the set. You basically just got cockblocked by her drunk friend. Emma couldn't possibly have kissed you in such a situation because of societal standards. If you could have isolated her I'm sure you would have ended up making out, but I doubt it would have been possible since she had to look after her plastered friend. Congrats!

I don't think you have oneitis, I just think you're desperate. I'm guessing that the only reason you had a crush on this girl is because she was (remotely) an option. You just need to get out more and really focus on being present. Pick a day and live impulsively for 24 hours. Don't think, just act. Do not try to rationalize your actions. You'll probably get into some awkward and uncomfortable situations, but you'll survive.

Observational openers DHVs are generally using chick crack or telling stories. Any other way that she can find out about your positive, "alpha" traits (e.g. observation) is also a DHV.

Other things that come to mind are using sensual words and a good, seductive tonality. Really, virtually all of seduction is subconscious. People make decisions based on subconscious reactions then justify them in their conscious mind to reduce any dissonance.

She was looking at you as a signal to MAN UP. She wanted to talk to you but it's generally not socially acceptable for a woman to approach a man in the gym. "Hi, I'm Bryan. How's your workout going? I love/hate exercising, but my favorite part is grabbing a smoothie after - I know the best place in town." Wait to see if she asks where, if she doesn't, move on, if she does - "I go to X, care to join me?" Honestly, I'm sure a more experienced PUA could suggest a better route of conversation, but t…

Nice job! Both people standing is definitely the easiest way to talk to people, especially if you're facing about 90 degrees apart. To get you in a more "social" mood, try just saying "Hi" to every person you pass by who looks remotely in your direction. You might get a few odd looks, but fuck them, that's their problem, not yours. You're just being friendly.

Call her sometime soon (within the next day or so), but DON'T try to set up a date - just make it a phone call like you were talking to your friends. "Oh my god, this ridiculous thing just happened and I thought that you'd appreciate it. I was in the grocery store and blah blah blah, isn't that hilarious?" Let the conversation take its course - the second it loses its energy, even a little, just be like "well, gotta go. talk to ya later!" and hang up. Call her back in a few days and set up a dat…

Sounds like you need more confidence; confidence and honesty are closely linked. Recognize that you have good intentions in talking to someone - you want to connect and have a fun conversation. If the other person thinks you're weird or whatever, that's their problem (but most of the time they really won't). Also, since confidence is a positive feedback loop, there's always "fake it until you make it."

A comment from the blog: I read Surely You’re Joking for the first time recently, and that chapter stood out. However, I think that your anger is partially misplaced, and that you’ve misread the story in several places. Feynman did not call the bar girl a whore “because she did not behave in the way that he desired,” he called her that because – as he tells the story – she used implied promises of sex to obtain things, then wriggled out of the implied promises. Nor did he assume that “that if a …

Overall, I think you did very well. One thing you could work on is the push of push-pull. It sounds like you were courting her, rather successfully, but you were always a "sure thing" to her. It would have been better if you mingled with other people a bit more at some point and appeared a bit more aloof. Make her chase you.
/r/seduction08/08/10 01:11 PM

It's not, but we've been raised to think so. It's all based on the lie that only men want to have sex and that women don't, so that men have to supplicate to women for them to be attracted to them. It's a myth that the seduction community is trying to dispel. But it was interesting to know that things worked much differently from how I was brought up.

I know that if you're attractive and have no game, you're going to have troubles with women, and that if you're not very attractive but have good game, you'll probably do very well. I'm curious as to what happened in this case in particular, as she seems to have been attracted to him based solely on his looks and the fact that he was dancing with 2 girls. tl;dr. Edit: Finally read. Two thoughts: In regard to the dancing HB7, and attention whores in general, is to ignore the shit out of them. Be relentlessly blatant, borderline obnoxious. In regard to the HB7 that's Megan's friend, you could have responded to the "strip bar" invitation with "Yeah, if your husband's cool with it and you bring your hot friends." This is all about the connection between honesty and confidence. If you have honest, positive intentions, you will be confident in your actions and won't need to seek anyone's approval. Understand your motivations and realize that they are without malice and you'll act much more freely. Kino. Also, find a girl who you're physically attracted to and who is attracted to you, have a date at your/her house and explain the situation. If you're as cool as you sound, she'll be happy to "show you the ropes." Note: this will probably work better with an HB6-7 than a HB8-9. Admitting faults and taking the initiative to fix them is a sign of confidence, not weakness.

While not a child, apertures is still in a position of power over her, as she's staying with him and they're "family friends."

I'm no prude, but I think trying to seduce a 19 year old (including using alcohol and drugs) who is staying with your family when you're 32 is fucked up. My recommendation is to consider the girl's psychological state as she heads off to school and find someone whom you don't already have a position of power over for your fun & games.

I'd try something along the lines of "Hmm... 5!" Her: "5 what?" You: "Judging from your order ...and your appearance... I'm guessing you got 5 hours of sleep last night." If she's cold she'll just say "no" and walk away, but otherwise she'll probably engage you. The "appearance" comment is a strong neg, though, so maybe only add that in for girls who are exceptionally hot and/or look like they have no qualms about their appearance.

"Safe" openers are weak openers. The key to opening is your response to their response - it should be at least a little funny/witty. Observational openers are relatively easy but can still be interesting, so I'd suggest using those. Stories with DHVs work well, but really just being able to tell a good story is a DHV, so focus on that first. Kino everyone indiscriminately from the beginning. Show up with the girl a little early so you have a little time to talk and reestablish a connection with her. Walk in like you own the place. Enjoy the music - dance, have fun, be high energy. I completely agree with this. I don't think anyone wants a woman to post here saying "I'm an average girl, AMA" any more than we want a random guy to post "I'm an AFC, AMA." I think that seddit, and PU in general, will always be dominated by men because PU has many practical applications for them, but that doesn't preclude women from studying pickup and being valuable sources of information. Men explaining PU from their point of view is of course the easiest to understand, but a woman's experien…

Sounds like you did everything right to me. You were enthusiastic, DHV'd, and handily defeated any ASD (which I really think was the key to all your actions). Of course, it won't always be this easy - this girl seems rather sexual to begin with - but you certainly must be doing something right. Also, qualifying her more wouldn't hurt, and would give you more to talk about. How did you open her at the party and what was that interaction like?

Think of it as an extension of qualifying. Frame it as she's so great that you don't need other women and that she has won you, the prize. From there on out, just make sure that she knows you appreciate her and that you could leave at any time but don't solely because of how awesome she is.

It sounds like you're a bit of a perfectionist and, as such, a girl's interest is an all-or-nothing proposition. The cure for perfectionism is, of course, to fail, and fail repeatedly. If you're not failing then you're not learning. Also, lighten up. No one's perfect, no one's immortal. We all just do the best we can while we can. Have fun. It sounds like you have a pretty great life - just be open and lighthearted and people will gravitate towards you. Stop thinking so goddamn much :)

A slight tweak on this - instead of saying "I am intelligent," ask yourself "Why am I intelligent?" or "How am I intelligent?" It's the same as an affirmation, but it reinforces it by forcing you to justify it, as well.

David Deangelo is an odd figure in the PUA world - he's the introduction to pickup for many people, and his system works, but it's far from perfect and has the tendency to make people into assholes that attract girls rather than true alphas. For someone who's just starting out, I'd recommend Magic Bullets as a primary text, with David Deangelo, Juggler, David Wygant, Vin DiCarlo, and Tynan (Herbal) as supplements.

Yeah, sounds like donutgiveup has been reading too much David Deangelo. You can't qualify without there being attraction and you should never give ultimatums. I don't want to play her silly games. It's a dance of attraction that has been evolutionarily instilled in us over millions of years. It's called "game" for a reason. Learn the rules then have fun with it.

I am too embarrassed to approach her in person (if I ever see her again), and on facebook, I ask a casual question on her photos, but she never responds. This is totally beta behavior. If you ever want to get back with this girl, the only way is to full-on go for it with confidence, not play these silly facebook games. It's not that she won't talk to you, its that she's not gonna respond to an unattractive (read: sissy) facebook photo comment. If you have her number, call her and ask her out on …

It very well could have been, but her sitting in the middle of the bed and facing away makes me think otherwise. If it was strictly ASD, I think she would have sat next to him and planned on making out, but stopping it there. EDIT: Honestly, what grown woman thinks "Oh, I'm going to go have dinner and drink at this guy's house but then not make out with him because that would be slutty." If your description of the situation is I finally put together an opportunity to kiss her. She actually went …

My take on it which you should take with a grain of salt: Your first mistake was that you showed her around your place too much before going to dinner. This takes away the mystery and looks like you're trying to appease her, as in "Does this impress you?" Making the drink was a fine move, especially since you split it. It sounds like she got bored with the conversation during dinner and she lost interest in you. You should have been demonstrating higher value, making jokes, and teasing a lot in …

My recommendations for telling stories: They should be a DHV The listener should be able to identify with you (or whoever the main character is) You should have a short intro to set the scene, then immediately begin building tension. Your entire story should be flowing up to a climax. As soon as the tension is released, move onto another story or another subject, don't drag on your original story until it just peters out. Bonus Points: Touch the person's arm/shoulder every time you make a key po…

Lyrics: I dream that one day i'll have a child And that child will say to me "dad, what was war?" But it's not going to happen It's a war of the sexes never get it blud I beg that you learn 'cause she's clever How attracted to you she is is partly your gab But it's multiplied by how little of you she can have Oi the reason girls flirt is to work out their worth Whereas men just hanker for the panky to happen Retain this fact i'm hammering, this fact is gonna matter What little you think you're l…

You have three different options that are a trade off between feeling good internally and having sex: Be completely honest. You won't get laid quite as much but you'll feel much better about yourself as a person. Also, the more you do it, the easier it will get, and the more likely they will be to sleep with you. Personally, this would be my choice. Avoid the question with a funny answer. "Do you love me?" "Of course, I love everyone!" or "Do you have a girlfriend?" "No, I have many girlfriends.…

Let me assist in Reddit's descent into 4chan 2.0: Pics or gtfo. On a more serious note, that makes the opener all the better because it opens up a whole range of conversations.

I was in a similar situation 6 months ago, so I really feel for you. However, I'm a better person now than I could have possibly been had the relationship continued. Be thankful for challenges & enemies, because they're the only things that make you better. If we didn't have them, we'd all be fat slobs sitting around being spoonfed. My advice: Give up on getting back together with her. You must come to realize that relationships are about how people interact, not with whom they interact. People …

Dude, she's a bartender. She gets paid to give flirty eyes. That being said, if you see her at the bar again you could chat her up - the worst possible scenario would be that you get blown out, in which case you never have to see her again and might learn something, so go for it. Since I can't think of an excuse for being in the hotel restaurant bar that she wouldn't see through, this would be my plan of action: Plan an insta-date - something like "Hey I'm going to a party/bar/concert/coffee sho…

I think it might work in a couple of situations: a mall where people are out shopping, or (not as an opener) someone mentions that they're vegetarian/vegan. In general, however, I think it comes off as too random to really work unless you're an adept PUA. I think a better variation would be "What do you think about women who get breast implants?" :D

She lives in a very bad area. I mean this in the nicest and most constructive way possible, but buck up and be a man. You're not gonna get jumped unless you're walking around like a spineless asshole and even if you do you're just gonna lose some cash. If you can't even deal with where she lives there's no way in hell you're gonna have enough confidence for you to land her. Do not let her know that you internet stalked her. What would you think if some girl you were mildly interested in had stal…
