Thanks for all the feedback in my last Field Report, I've actually only just had a chance to look at it and I feel greatly encouraged. While I may not have gone from 1 to 100 as is to be expected, I'd say after the other day and the results of last night I'm making great progress.

(Note before I start, this FR isn't actually about picking up women, it's more about trying to be the Alpha male)

So, I lost my job. Bummer. So I decided not to let this bring me down, grabbed a load of booze and went to my mates flat, which is basically the 'party zone'. Every night there will be a few joints, a lot of conversation which I'll generally not be participating in, and a game of Mario Kart Double Dash to finish off the night.

Well, today I wasn't going to let that happen. I spent a lot of yesterday reading up about Body Language, so that was my first task, sorting it out. I habitually fold my arms when sitting, so that was the first to go. I rested my arm on the arm of the chair, but due to the way the chair dips this was far too uncomfortable, and I was constantly fidgeting. No problem, moved chair. Mission 1 accomplished.

After around 1 beer my mates neighbour (Also a good mate) and his girlfriend showed up. The girlfriend sat down, and both of the guys went outside to prat about with his bike. They're used to me not talking much, so I knew if I was going to talk to people I'd have to be the one who initiates conversation. I asked Jo (Fake name) what she was drawing, a snake wrapped round a guitar. She was working on it as a tattoo for another friend. We were chatting about that, and I managed to move the conversation onto Music Festivals, which I absolutely love.

(Figure I should say this now, I have no intention on picking up my mates girlfriend. But she is beautiful, so I figured she's good practise.)

After a while I noticed they'd finished outside with the bike, so I went out to see the results. They were taking off the Rear Derailleur for some reason. I was confident, I made sure to lead the conversation, and everything went great.

Back inside, another neighbour (AFC) turned up. I observed his body language, very shut off. The flat owner and most of the people around were DnBheads, he was a metalhead. I mentioned Wakken Open Air, and had a short conversation about that. Jo instantly picked up on me leading, and we started talking again.

More people started showing up, I made sure I was the kingpin of the room. Unfortunately, I was drinking, so I can't really remember the end of the night. All I know is I spent 4 hours this morning throwing up and my phone is missing, so it must've been an interesting night.

TL;DR: Was the Alpha Male for the day, but got absolutely wasted in the end. Fun night!
