This is good. These hurt and if you have enough of them, you will decide the pain of realizing you lost out is worse than potential rejection. You’ll do something eventually.

That second time you knew what you should have done. You should have locked eyes, realized turned around, and approached her to say hi in a fun joking way. Girls don’t smile if they aren’t interested, they fear giving off signs for a random stranger to capitalize on. (Worst thing you say is “you trying to seduce me with that bike?”) The way I motivate myself do something is to remember the last time I blew a chance. Huge motivator to not feel that way again.

That right there is the point. I find it unlikely she would have otherwise thought you were SO attractive if you hadn't gave her that look. She even had to mention her feelings about it too!

I looked on youtube for scenes where he does this. It's fantastic haha

I totally disagree. Some people find it hard to maintain eye contact without looking away instantly. That's a learned skill that can be practiced and improved. If it's so easy why doesn't every guy have perfect eye contact?

It does make me feel better to hear someone else has found the same problem I'm coming across. I need to strategically pick jokes and reduce the overall number by a lot. I need to move to conversations that have weight and value to them.

The jokes do get old quickly. I honestly do self amuse and make jokes to entertain myself, thats just my personality. But I'm almost getting tired of my own personality lol.. my voice is really nothing like his. He was just a very good example of how I kind of act myself. I don't look to copy him, that just is how I act most of the time.

I like your breakdown. You've made good points I will look into improving conversation topics and flirting/escalation more, that seems to be my problem

I agree with that too, but that philosophy does not work if I'm consistently doing something wrong right? No girls will join unless I improve whatever I'm doing wrong

Unfortunately not very good. Some girls will react just find to that because it was playful but honestly there is a fine line between she let you do it because she likes you and she let you do it because you're her friend. Could you expand on other things you've tried or noticed?

Not at all. I feel like your suggestions and examples were great to show what you're trying to say. I don't know why everyone takes these so literal as if they are supposed to be canned lines. They are guidelines for how to respond or fit in a tease. It does work. It's the best thing I've found to really keep a girl on her toes. They also don't have to be crude at all. One of my favorites is "you're gonna have to stop flirting with me so much." It's innocent and she is allowed to walk away if sh…

I'm bothered by how negative this post became lol.. This is good advice. It's not about canned routines or being an asshole but this sub is about sharing ideas. Those ideas are best conveyed with examples. I appreciate this post for what it is. Some girls would take the comments the wrong way but if you have any emotional intelligence you would know she will respond well. Good comedians don't say funny things, they say things funny. It's about the perception she has of you. If you act like its a…

I tend to agree that this sub is very mild with any kind of bragging. Honestly, I come to this sub because there are plenty of posts where guys admit they don't do well and I like to read the suggestions and also it is nice to see that it's not just you struggling with girls. Keep at it. The best advice is when you think you're good enough improve yourself more. People take notice of someone successful in life, and with that comes likability and relationships.

You should go out to close though too. It's pointless to speak at 1000 girls because they are people. You wouldn't want a girl to come up to you and talk at you for no reason. Less can be more if you focus on making the ones that you do better.

Basically A. The reason this works for some guys and others don't understand it, in my opinion, is that for this to work you need to be talking to many girls. For example let's say (theoretically) you are talking to 100 girls at once. There is no way for you to text them all back, hang out with them all, or even remember all of their names. Maybe you have a few you have more interest in than others but either way your time is so stretched you couldn't possibly manage it. This is abundance and it…

I'm commenting to literally shame you on the last paragraph. First of all, there are 1000s of girls just like her. You really can find someone else similar to her. And second you shouldn't ever say you're not good enough! Your whole interaction actually sounded very good. You talked to her, asked her for her number and she just said no. I really give you props about following up with how you'd text her once and she could decide. I feel like that was a perfect way to handle that shit test. The be…

I feel like that too. Another thing I do when I have a gf.. I get complacent and lazy. I don't go out as much, don't hang out as much, break things off with other girls (even good friends), stop having motivation, stop self improvement, and stop working out as much. Honestly I personally feel a gf is destructive for my personality. I feel lonely sometimes but it's better than the feeling of all of the above. I should never be giving those things up but I find over enough time i just get complace…

Lol this is a lost cause unless she wants to break it off with him. The guy already knows and she obviously had your name in her phone when he answered so there is no secret anymore. I guess you really should just discuss smith with her at this point..

I really like your response. This is basically what I'm talking about. I think you pretty much described it. Everyone there is willing to blow their paycheck on clothes and buy women drinks all night. All that produces are girls that expect drinks. Totally agree with the large group thing too. It's difficult because just like you said at the end of the night they are looking to leave and probably go somewhere else and they don't want unknown people coming back. Another thing, if the bar is so cr…

Yes lol go practice isn't much of the answer I was looking for. I really don't have a problem going up and meeting people. I like your comment about eye contact though because that essentially relates to my question. How do you get a girl to make eye contact? There are a 100 other guys in the room and just like the comment below said they all blow their paychecks on fancy clothes and do nothing but work out. Even if I do that, again, what sets me apart from the 100 other guys that look just like…

I agree you can't just take every girl as a loss and move on. There are some girls that would be worth it but just take some more time. As far as the girl goes, it sounds like if she goes out a lot and is popular you might be getting somewhat friend zoned. She probably doesn't have a problem kissing anyone but girls typically won't kiss a friend because they don't want to ruin things. Maybe next date play a little hard to get and at the end of the night put her on the spot and ask something like…

Personally I feel like, yes, everyone is different and you may be into dark things and eventually you're going to offend someone BUT I can't recall a time I've said something that was truly so edgy or so disgusting or offensive or off putting that the girl just wanted to leave. I'm agreeing with a lot of the comments here where people say that talking to a girl is about emotional intelligence. If she seems like she can take a joke, go for it. Another thing too is, it's important to judge how goo…

I find this post very interesting that you feel you would want to laugh less. I've always had the mindset that I think it's funny, so I'll laugh about it! I think everything is funny and I love a good joke. Unfortunately, I'm the type to self deprecate too much.. which does lower value if done wrong.. But I love laughing so I'll crack as many jokes as I want lol and I think I'm funny as hell. I read something one time about dogs. It basically asked the question "Why do people love dogs so much?"…

I can entirely relate to this. I'm the type of person that can't let my own mistakes go. It's not even about the girl at that point, I feel upset that I made careless mistakes. I don't beat myself up about it anymore though, instead I understand what I did wrong and always keep it in the back of my mind. I'll even go as far as to write them down so I don't make the same mistake twice. EVERYTHING is a learning experience and every time I mess up I get better for the next time. You should too

Honestly shes probably going to want another open relationship so to really keep her you'd need to be something worth losing to her. There are so many girls out there, just go out and find another one!

What opener do you use? Depending on the first things you say, the conversation can be shut down quickly. "Hey what's up?" "Not much" I always look at it like a girl gets hit on every time she goes out so to ask what's up, she may instantly give you a generic response and those are kinda hard to deal with. I like indirect a little better. It's nice to be able to shoot over a generic statement and if she wants to respond kindly then she's probably worth talking to, but if she blows it off you mig…

I get that but all that really means is, don't be so direct. Go up and talk to the girl. Work yourself into the situation rather than being so direct if you're worried. Handle the situation so that if she ends up sitting next to you and being your Spanish partner it wont be awkward!! I rarely leave a situation so wrecked that I wouldn't want to talk to her again. If you're in highschool, you just got an amazing start in Seddit at such a young age. Learn early and benefit from it!

Eye contact is great because if you hold it with her and she sees you doing it, the first few times she might look away but then she might start to maintain it with you. If she maintains it more than usual shes legitimately looking at you because shes probably interested at that point. If a girl has no interest her eyes will wonder 24/7 and never try and beat your amount of contact. I wish we could get a girls opinion on this because I feel like this is the biggest thing guys mess up on and its …

You may have one option to get in with this situation and keep things okay... You potentially could drag the situation out so long that he becomes desensitized to it. This could take months though so its unlikely the girl will stay around that long anyways. It's not a great solution

I second this. I've found strong eye contact really creates interest. If you look at someone shy and scared VS someone powerful and dominant, you'd instantly notice that their eyes are VERY powerful. The shy person would have evasive and dodgy eye contact and you'd get the impression that they have a weak personality, but the person who is confidently looking at you in the eyes is strong and will not easily back down. A girl takes to this. Instantly it give an impression. Do not be creepy though…

I take this as maybe they didn't think you took control well enough? Within the first 2 days you need to ask them out. I just went on a Starbucks date with a girl. I said something like "would you want to meet up?" and she said "It depends what do you want to do?" I said "Don't get any big ideas. Lets go to Starbucks" she did and we met up. More importantly if they are texting you back just set it up properly. Avoid the word HANGOUT like the plague, you hang out with your friends. Also present a…

Change what you eat and do not sit around on the couch. Lessen salt and sugars. You retain water eating too much salt. Cut alcohol, ESPECIALLY beer. Eating is a massive key to weight loss. Leave meals hungry after eating reasonable proportions, you have to lower what your body expected to eat. Invest in a gym membership and go 6 out of 7 days a week. Cardio is your friend if you have too much weight, how many overweight runners have you ever seen? Probably none, running is key. When lifting do l…

Sorry for the late response, but no its not even necessary to buy them a drink. The only real purpose for the drink would be to have an activity to keep her attention. Typically if you took a friend out for coffee you guys plan on talking the whole time right? Her getting to know you is the point of the conversation.

That part where you thank her for the dance - change it lol. Thank you implies the interaction is pretty much over. "You're a really good dancer, why don't you come grab a drink and tell me where you learned that" something like that. Tell her you want a second dance if she's as good at it as you say she is.

I relate to this some! The mall is a bad place to start. Take 1 friend and go to a bar. Bars are good because women generally go there expecting to get hit on or talked to, whereas the mall they are going to shop and don't expect it. It's harder. Go to the bar for a few weeks in a row and meet some people. A good base of friends is much more valuable than a single interaction. Get a feel for the regulars at the bar too because they are always harder to get, they always go and already know how th…

If you've never had experience with girls this is a really good start. Its exactly like you said, you need to de-sensitize yourself. I know everyone on here is going to say to go out and blah blah blah but if you are anxious and just trying to improve with even simple conversation, you have to start somewhere. First thing, the bio seems (from my experience) matters very little so keep it short and sweet. It didn't seem to matter too much if what you say is funny or just honest. The bio is just t…

This works great. I talk to her, then say hey we should ________! Typically, this is we should hang out, go out, go on a date, go bowling, go see that movie. You get the idea. 95% of the time they will say "Yeah that sounds fun!" Don't say anything, grab your phone, unlock it and then say put your number in. Or if you go pro.. get her to ask for it: "Wait I don't even have your number" then you give it lol. This is great because it seems like you probably are going to have anxiety about it. This…

Simple and easy, mumble something so she really can't hear you over the loud music/talking at the bar. Lean in to the side of her face and speak close to her ear like you're telling a secret almost. I always put my face to the left and my right hand to the right of her head kinda to brace her, it's pretty likely if it's done right she would like it.

You're going to probably lose a friend if you keep pushing. I've been there tons of times but the times I did it, I wished I wouldn't have gone for it like that and just kept a friend instead. Many times if you feel the girl doesn't like you after you have voiced that you do shes trying to turn you down nicely. Don't lose a friend dude. The girls I've asked tend to go out of their way to not talk to me so things aren't "awkward" or she doesn't lead me on more than she already did. It's like tryi…

I considered this question, so I'm really glad you asked.. To be entirely honest I feel like sometimes I "lose interest" because of my anxiety to escalate and actually succeed with the girl. It's totally irrational and I'm going to start pushing through this. I didn't know if it were me or her.. some of the comments indicated it is me doing it to myself, I'd agree.

I went out last night, and to be completely honest it felt successful. I was trying my best to pay attention to how the girls acted and if they were having a good time. This is a solid point too, I feel like I might try and keep tabs on how the conversation is going when really what I should do is focus on making her have a good time. I'm also going to try this tonight. Honestly rejection isn't that big of a deal I just walk away :)

I really like what was said here it makes a lot of sense. The biggest problem is there are so many side games if you dont take them one at a time, they are impossible to remember to do. They have to become habit. I'm going to go out and use the eye contact one tonight! I'll start there with every person I meet.

Ugh this question was definitely in the sidebar.. either way, the fact she is even sitting on that couch means you should have come up with any of the various ways to kiss a girl from the sidebar >>>>> JUST GO DO IT, she likes you. I feel like the best way to start is you need to go make friends. Guys and girls both. Go hang out with guys that know girls. Go plan events with mixed company. Go plan events with your guy friends and have them bring people. Network everything, building strong unattached relationships would be a good start. You would be amazed at how many good girlfriend type relationships can come from friends of friends.

Just adding in again, as soon as you get the girls number.. have 2 or 3 texts of banter back and forth, then say something like "You seem cool, lets go grab coffee, I'm free friday." Or try catching her when she likely won't be busy. Be quick about it so you can meet in person.. I've found texting ruins things
/r/seduction14/01/16 01:49 PM

That's really helpful. Eye contact and being directly in front of her face seem like they would be a dominant way of showing interest. I'm looking to get much better about making my intent clear but still keeping some mystery and upper hand. It seems like if you confess a girl is hot, you just became every other guy who won't interest her.

You'd be surprised how many friends you can meet at a job. Food service is interesting, because it tends to be the worst job with the closest family of friends for some reason. If you can swing it, a job is a good place to meet people.

Just respond "you and I" otherwise your whole intention to get with this girl likely isnt going to happen because shes already buffering you with other people. Your better off just moving on if shes not okay with it or keeps asking for people to come with you both.

Move it immediately to going out for coffee or something. My next message.. assuming she even responds to that one.. "Hopefully you like it there. I have free time friday, would you want to go get coffee and catch up at starbucks?" Tinder is rough.

Agree. Life is about improving and if you're still breathing then you should be trying to improve yourself, not for girls, but yourself. Go out, meet people.. guys and girls because you never know when a friend can help you. Network with friends, its very likely a friend you just met could help you meet someone new. Also I felt like this post was very critical of the nice people on this subreddit, this is about improving. You have to take all the knowledge you find here and combine it and use it…

I really just hope you're even able to stay friends. Any experience I've had with this the girl always feels awkward and distant. It always seems like girls will distance themselves quite far after having a casual encounter with a best friend they thought they might give a shot.
