In my opinion, this is the most realistic way of it actually working out.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/24 10:20 PM

The problem with this post is that…this is what women say what they want ideally, but in reality, the men that are the exact opposite of some of these things tend to be the most successful in dating 😂😂😂.

The reason I’m asking these questions because in this sub, people constantly push the idea that someone’s personality is what stops them from participating in the dating game when that’s not always the case. Sometimes, IT IS the person’s looks that does not allow them to participate in dating. Even if their personality is great and they are likable. It’s always assumed that the guy is struggling because of his personality, but the thing is, no one is exactly specific about the personality that t…

You are very bold for telling her that 😂😂😂 But I definitely get it though. Us as men have to understand exactly where we stand in the world when it comes to things like dating. Women will always prefer to say the most politically correct thing in order to avoid hurting someone’s feelings.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 08:42 PM

I’m not sure if you’re asking these questions in good faith or if you’re just being sarcastic….

Very productive response 👌🏾
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 05:52 PM

Quite a few people on this quite often push that talking point lol
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 05:23 PM
1

That’s why I said “possibly”
/r/AllPillDebate23/09/23 05:10 PM

What's crazy is, there are podcasts that are trying to copy the format that Fresh and Fit has lol It's really nothing but reality TV. The focus is no longer about helping men develop themselves like it was in the beginning.
/r/AllPillDebate23/09/23 08:42 AM
1

The main issue is, you can’t expect someone who’s struggling with dating to take that advice at face value
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/23 01:20 AM

😂😂😂😂
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 01:48 PM

That’s a good point. Iceberg Slim seems to have an ongoing influence in the manosphere as well.

The thing is, how does one get the opportunities to show his “true self”? 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 03:51 PM

This is the most practical way to put it.

Responses like these is how we help men 🔥🔥🔥
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 03:15 AM
1

Hmmm. “Be what you think is attractive.” Would you mind elaborating on this?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 12:49 AM
1

That could be true. It's very safe advice lol
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 11:02 PM

What pick-up artists get right is encouraging men to practice talking to women in person. The issue with pick-up lines though is that it forces to mimic charm that you do not genuinely have.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 11:01 PM
1

This is one of the most honest comments I've seen on here.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 10:52 PM
1

Yes but some guys would have to apply more elbow grease than others.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 09:01 PM
3

Okay but that’s assuming the person actually knows how to interact with people and is very socially calibrated. How’s does one go about this if they struggle with basic conversations and interactions with people? It would take more than “just be yourself”. That person would also need much more practice with social skills.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 07:56 PM
3

Once again, who said anything about being someone else? The point that I was making is that advice alone may not be enough for certain guys and will make them even more confused.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 07:49 PM
4

Right now, I’m only talking about “just be yourself” in the context of attraction in the beginning phase. Not maintaining the relationship per se.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 06:20 PM
2

I will say, you can certainly learn a lot from women through private conversations for sure 😂😂😂
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 06:02 PM
1

😂😂😂😂
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 05:58 PM
5

Who said anything about being anything other than yourself? All I said that it’s not completely helpful for certain guys that may struggle with social interactions. But congratulations to him though 🤞🏾.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 05:56 PM
1

That doesn’t mean that there aren’t things certain guys can work on to change their situation though….
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 05:52 PM
2

Thought provoking comment.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 05:44 PM
4

See, this is why you should also be careful about who you get dating advice from. Because you don’t always know peoples’ intentions.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 05:42 PM
10

My point still stands. As a woman, you generally just won’t have to apply the same effort that guys will have to apply in order to be successful in sex and relationships. “Just be yourself” is not effective when now there’s way more expectations for men to fulfill when it comes to men attracting women. I’m glad that you and I agree on the point that if you don’t have any “attractive” qualities, it won’t do much.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 05:34 PM

What’s wrong with wanting to have understanding if you want to move forward and have success? If you want to achieve success in fitness, you ask a personal trainer for guidance and a workout plan. Men thrive off of purpose and guidance. Of course nothing is 100% absolute, but I don’t think it hurts to provide someone with tangible solutions if the person literally has no idea what to do. “If you need a formula or handbook to date maybe it’s best that you can’t find anyone.” It is statements like…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 04:54 PM
1

It’s something that needs elaboration for sure. But also, there’s nothing wrong with improving on certain things that are within your control.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 04:41 PM
1

Optimism is considering “cope”, but it can definitely help to have somewhat of a positive perspective. But I think it’s more helpful as a man to be realistic and truly understand where you stand in the world if that makes sense?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 04:40 PM
5

What do you mean by being “autistic” about it? Who are you to say who “deserves” to procreate or not?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 04:39 PM
0

Now you’re cooking with grease 🔥🔥🔥
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 04:37 PM
3

Men just don’t embrace delusions like that lol
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 01:04 PM

Ok I’ll bite. I was speaking in generalities about the overall dating dialogue in our current zeitgeist. Yes there are women who don’t make a big deal about height for sure, but at the same time, when women express certain physical characteristics that they may prefer in a guy, there’s barely the same level of backlash compared to when a guy states that he doesn’t want an overweight/obese woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 04:18 PM

🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 05:42 AM

Why is this only point of my post that you’re focusing on? 😂😂😂
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 02:54 AM

Sometimes…it is the same woman 😂😂😂
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 01:14 AM

Define “below average”
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 01:14 AM

I knew this response was coming 😂😂😂
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 01:54 PM
1

I really think you guys worry about height WAYYYY too much. You guys keep saying men that are 6 feet tall and above have it super great and I’m here to tell you, that’s not always the case. I’m speaking from personal experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 12:52 PM
4

Like it or not, if a bunch of men are complaining about women wanting only the “Chads/Tyrones”, and having to compete with other men, it is a game 🤷🏾‍♂️😂. Doesn’t mean you don’t consider women to be people either lol
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 12:50 PM
3

Wow congratulations to him! 🎉🎊 I mean, it makes sense that a healthy woman would probably not want to be with a guy who has an extremely negative outlook of the world, especially of women 🤷🏾‍♂️. A lot of these guys wouldn’t want to be around women who have an unhealthy outlook about relationships with men either 😂.

Thank you! I really wanted to get it off of my chest. I knew I was going to make some dudes angry with my post but it is what it is.

There are so many men that are winning in dating regardless of the game being "rigged" against them lol
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 06:42 AM
0

Because why complain if you have no plans of changing your situation?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/23 06:02 AM
2

That’s really all I was getting at. It’s good to have a forum to share frustrations. But at a certain point, you’re going to have to decide if you want to change your situation or not 🤷🏾‍♂️.

I really hate the “roll over and die” mentality. These men in this subreddit enjoy venting about their frustrations with dating but don’t want to put ANY effort into changing their own situation.

Dating, sex, relationships, etc.

BJJ and Judo is not a bad combination. If you give your opponent the hip toss, they really wouldn’t know how to fall properly lol

I don’t train BJJ but it could be due there fact that you’re still somewhat in the beginner phase. My thing is, do you ever feel confident about being able to handle a situation another man attempting to be violent with you? 🤔

Idk man. There’s been a several fighters in the UFC who have been very successful with Karate 🤷🏾‍♂️.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 08:47 PM

Yeah some of those guys can be absolutely insufferable for sure. That’s also why it’s important to have to multiple hobbies and make yourself informed about different things as well.

All I pointed out my was my observation in the differences between people’s responses to men and women regarding dating struggles. Not only that, I provided a viable solution for men as well. I wasn’t even talking myself 😂😂😂

Hence why I believe going to the gym can certainly enhance your romantic/sexual life
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/23 09:33 PM
1

Fair point. That does happen from time to time. The only way that I see this happening with a fat woman and a fit man is if she’s genuinely inspired to go after such a goal. There’s no way to talk to a woman about weight loss in good faith, even if done in a loving fashion 😂.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 11:26 PM
1

I never said that they didn’t. I just said that it’s absolutely hilarious. Plus, you don’t think it’s goofy for someone to demand that they want someone that’s fit and in shape and they themselves don’t have that type of lifestyle? 😂😂😂
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 08:56 PM
4

People do have the right to be as picky as they want. However, it is always gonna make me laugh when fat people say that they deserve someone who is fit and in shape 😂😂😂😂
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 08:54 PM
1

Maybe not sadistic. But you most definitely see the apathy towards him sharing how his weight is affecting his self-esteem. The response would be much different if this was a fat woman. That’s why for men, it’s either you work around being fat with your social skills/personality, go to the gym, or do both 🤷🏾‍♂️.

What’s your definition of a jester? I mean, I’ve met some average looking men that are genuinely very charismatic? 🤔
/r/AllPillDebate26/08/23 07:44 AM

This is one of the most based replies I have seen on this post 🤞🏾👌🏾
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/23 07:27 AM

So from reading the comments, it seems as though….. There just isn’t a “perfect” spot to meet women. Basically, as long as you’re respectful and your appearance is on point, I don’t think most women would mind a decent conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 08:55 PM
1

Well...at least you are honest about your motivations with fitness. Sometimes, I will hear people say, "well, I only workout for my health", which we all know is bullshit. I think it's safe to say that building a really great physique for many men and women is really just all a vanity project. I mean personally, I don't really care what a person's motivations are for going to the gym. But I also know that a lot of guys get in the gym because most people inherently know that being physically attr…

LMFAOOOO This gentleman has all of the infinity stones 😭😭😭😭
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 07:31 PM

I think you actually agree with my original post. The point of the post is that confidence is BUILT over time and that it’s not something that a man with no confidence can just pull out of nowhere the next day 😂😂😂
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 04:19 PM

Where in my post did I say that I didn’t understand those things? 😭😭😭😭

Boom
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 06:25 AM
1

The way I see it, he would have to reconcile it by actually going out there and talking to women and building the courage to ask her out 🤷🏾‍♂️. Listen, I get there’s different things like upbringing that may affect how a man navigates through the dating market. Some of these things would probably need to be discussed with a male therapist. But most men are going to have to make a decision about whether or not they want to be successful in the dating game. And if they’re gonna want to be successf…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 06:16 AM
3

I mean I don’t have a problem with that. What’s hilarious is that a lot of men want these super attractive women but don’t realize that these super attractive women ALSO want men they’re attracted to as well 😭😭😭
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 05:54 AM
1

Who said attractive don’t get rejected? Men should still work on enhancing their appearance and personality to improve their standing in the dating game.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 05:52 AM
1

But that’s where you continue improving yourself and putting yourself out there until you find the women that are actually into you 🤷🏾‍♂️.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 05:51 AM
1

And you’re right. But these men are grown adults now. My question to them is, “What are you doing to improve yourself currently?” That’s truly the only way that you can move forward 🤷🏾‍♂️.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 05:50 AM
2

That’s a good point. The thing is, you don’t necessarily get to pick the type of parents you have or the environment that you’re raised in.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 05:29 AM
3

Bingo. The development of confidence is a process. People always talk about like it something you just come up with overnight lol
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 05:12 AM
2

I hear you, but when it comes to men, you have to give men something to work with in order to help them achieve the goal that they're working towards. It's not 100% absolute, but I would prefer that men work on those things as opposed to them learning pick-up lines or watching Fresh and Fit videos all day. As for women though, there was a gentleman by the name of Kevin Samuels who passed away a little over a year who actually was providing women with advice on how to attract the men they want. W…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 04:23 AM
3

But here's the thing, I believe that most of the men in this space would benefit from improving both their physical appearance and personality/confidence to improve their dating options while combing the use of dating apps and interacting with women in person. Depending on genetics, physical attractiveness can only reach a certain point. However, most of the men in this space are not doing any of these things and just spend most of their time complaining that the attractive women that they want …
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 04:05 AM

And THAT is exactly the part that I’m getting at. It literally has made all of the discussions within these spaces much less productive.
