The new Eugenics is right around the corner. My body, my right to tweek the fetus. Father will have no say in the matter. Just sayin'. It's the logical follow on to my body my choice.

Superior tech hasn't stopped wars. It has enabled those who have mastered it to win wars. My point was more like if a soldier can sneak into bunker in Nevada and smash a drone operator's head with a rock who wins? But more to the topic, I say draft women. I just don't want have to count on one to have my six. They just don't do the brotherhood thing and there is no sisterhood thing.

You may not be old enough to remember when nukes were going to make wars impossible and when the experts took machine guns off fighter jets because missiles would make them obsolete. Drones have been unable to defeat the Taliban. I could go on an on. Asymmetrical warfare only requires determined men (and women) and time.

In the U.S. there are many legal ways to avoid conscription into military service for both men and women. In my opinion, if more Americans were involved instead of just 1%, and we all know who they mostly are, maybe more people, and we know who they are, would take care to avoid committing our military to senseless 20-year wars.

An unashamedly irrational argument was made in opposition. How does this even make any sense: “We don't need to draft women in order for women to have equality in this nation,” Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-Mo.) said Wednesday. “Women are of worth and of value right now, and we are equal with men without having to pass a new law that would require 50 percent of this country, our daughters and our sisters and our wives, to have to be drafted.” I think she is saying "we (women) already have equal rights …

Psyops, or psychological operations, is a term used to describe the techniques of psychological manipulation used in warfare. These operations are used to deceive, confuse, disrupt and demoralize the enemy, with an aim toward weakening enemy resistance or even causing enemy forces to surrender and enemy populations to capitulate. Yeah, I'm sticking with that.

Back in the day a rich 40s guy might have a 20s girlfriend. Today, I think that is looked at as pedophilia, even though really it isn't. 20s people are much more childlike than when you were 20s. They are fearful of being adults. They were babies when 9/11happened. They always had internet and cellphones. Lots of them don't even want to learn to drive. They think blowing a guy isn't sex. Oh yeah, they even call themselves "kids". My little sister is a university professor. That's where I get mos…

I don't think that controlling the narrative is going win them anything especially as fewer and fewer men stop listening. It's already blowing up in their faces. The only thing that pisses a woman off more that having a man tell them they are wrong is having another woman telling them they are wrong. (That's why women stick to social sciences and avoid math.) Men are learning not to tell women they are wrong in ever increasing numbers. Don't correct their math, just pass them on to a woman. Don'…

It keeps coming down to being "ridiculed and lambasted". That's what I call blowback. You call someone a name at work and you get fired, for example. But someone calls you a name and they don't get fired. Or a woman can wear trousers without blowback but a man who choses to wear a skirt gets lots of blowback. And that is not fair because there is no equality in the outcome. Do I have that right?
/r/MGTOW204/02/21 03:20 AM
1

So, now what is it that you "can''t" call whom? I say you can call anybody anything as long as you are willing to deal with the blowback. Remember, that the OP was "help me understand"..."why they make up these words". I tried to answer it by pointing out that these words are a form of name-calling which is a form of attacking a person instead of an idea. That is known as an ad hominem fallacy and is a last resort for a person who cannot, or choses not to, make a rational argument. It seems that…

You can't call softies the F word anymore? Or you can't call softies the F word anymore without facing blowback. That's because those fags fought back.

why they make up these words... soyboys, Chads, libtards, ReTrumplicans, snowflake, yuppie, cuck, and on and on and on... Name-calling is an attack on a person instead of addressing their reasons for being or believing what they are/believe. It's a form of the ad hominem fallacy. Dumb people depend on it because they don't know how to make effective arguments. As an exercise, we could try to avoid name-calling in our posts. Except for "fuck-face" and "asshole". :) Also, men are allowed to celebr…

I think, from a 21st century POV, it is a reminder that even our solitude (or or illusion of solitude) is to some extent made possible by other men and women. You can't do it all by yourself. Even Tom Hanks was only able to escape his island when he found a piece of plastic made in a factory. I don't know how to make fabric or stainless steel or glass, etc. Also, when the bell tolls, it's not for the dead guy. The dead guy can't even hear it. The bell tolls for us. We have lost something. Women are really drawn to degrees like communications and journalism. When you combine this with the fact that men know that they are less likely to be hired for these positions, it comes as no surprise. Very few blondes on PBS more so on FOX.

Would you settle for a comment from a wise man who is still capable of doing foolish things? Ok then. If "there are red flags everywhere" that is because there are red flags everywhere. I suggest that you 1) get a brick and duct tape your wallet and your cellphone to it and take it to the nearest lake. 2) Use the brick to pound yourself in the balls several times. 3) Throw the brick as far as you can into the lake, 4) Repeat step 3 using your car keys. In the modern world, the economic loan and bone is the more likely to be employed tactic. I believe that China will eventually take military action over Taiwan, but not anytime soon. They need to build up their Navy. That takes much longer than simply building ships.

I don't if this has already been posted. If you have the right kinds of IT certifications working for so-called gig/contractor company can be pretty good. I was surprised I liked it. How many times have I been told that I am tall before being asked to do something for a woman. "Hey, you're tall. Would you please..." Yeah, they're usually polite. But there is an expectation that I am obliged to help them NOW. It doesn't matter what I'm doing. I could be administering CPR and they would still expect me to snap to it. If I don't do it NOW they always (yes always) let me know they are angry, each in her own way. Men who are short seldom ask. For them, it's a last resort.

There are lots of women who feel the same way. Just to be clear I'm not one of them. What's your problem? Are you too scared to even try? Are you giving up because no woman would ever lay in bed masturbating to a picture of you? Just accept that as a fact and realize that you don't have to be desirable to be a great husband, a great father, and a great man. If that sounds like a good thing to be there is no reason you can't be that.

"Common thought would have you think that bottling up emotions can be deadly," That "bottling up" metaphor is a big part of the problem. First, it is important to know who reads USA Today. I don't. If I wanted to know who reads it, I would buy an issue and look at the ads. The ads will reveal who reads it. The ads is how everybody gets paid. Writers best not piss off the advertisers while being careful not to piss off the readers too much. There's big money in getting readers/viewers pissed-off (Fox News, MSNBC, etc,) but don't get them pissed-off at you (the writer/publisher.) So who reads USA Today?

Being able to step back, assess, being willing/able to doing one's homework. being willing to engage another in a discussion (or even a conversation) about issues that both parties consider to be important, seems to be not only a lost, but abandoned, way of communicating. A lot of it sounds good. All people should be protected from physical harm by their governments or tribe/society and from their governments or tribe/society. "Recognize and value unpaid..." deliberately avoids saying that such upaid activities should be paid for in the form of money. Lots of clever and careful wording. Maybe it will happen in the next century.

North Africa? Do you have people there. USA people aren't really popular in the Muslim world right now. I hope you know what you are doing. Best of luck.

Right. That's how I felt. And I believe those troops back then knew it too. So WTF was the clown thinking when he trotted her out and said "I brought her out here just to remind you boys what you're fighting for." ?

That is an answer. Thank SepteRa. I originally posted this. It seems to have taken off in many different directions. I was wondering "what was this guy thinking?" I served in Navy Reserves and never came anywhere near combat, there wasn't any in "79. But I have a bit of military perspective. I'm trying to sort out how I might have felt if I was overseas and in harm's way and some clown trotted out this young woman and said "I brought her out here just to remind you boys what you're fighting for.…

That's exactly what he said. What I'm trying to figure out if it was supposed to be a joke or WTF was going through this guys mind when he paraded her out in front of the G.I.s. I think that this could called "mocking" the troops if someone did this today. Would the Army. et. al., even permit it.

Respectfully, I submit that what you are asking about, that being "the debates over patriotism vs cosmopolitanism" is not what the essayist is trying to address. Why? Because the initial premises are moot. (As an adjective, moot originally meant arguable or subject to debate.) Patriotism, IMO, means the feeling of love, devotion, and sense of attachment to one's homeland i.e., the land of one's birth. The essayist writes that "the antithesis of cosmopolitanism is particularism." So, I must chall…

"I make no illusion that happiness is even real." First, thanks for your time and consideration. I believe happiness is real, but not sustainable. Nor should it be. It would be disastrous to be happy all the time. Happiness is a reward one gives one's Self from time to time when it is deserved, and only the Self knows when it is truly deserved. A sudden insight, a solution, an answer, finding meaning - these are the kinds of things that make me happy. Beauty is another thing that makes me happy.…

Imagine laying around thinking all day from total boredom. Toward the end it is a starvation contest. Right. Perhaps the best training would be fasting and meditation. But the best preparation would be to get as fat as you can get in a short period of time. ;)

I agree that you are onto something. However, what needs to be considered in that happiness, as a state of being, must, ontologically, be fleeting. It cannot endure if it is a state of being that is superior others. Perhaps "contentedness" would work better. Want for nothing more. What think you?

"men are more likely than women to use physical aggression as a outlet for aggression than women are, women must have another form of displaying aggression" At first glance this seems obvious, but men are not free to physically attack one another, especially in the workplace. Even a bar brawl will likely end with a criminal record. My point is that men are just as likely to resort to gossip and reputation destruction...at least in the USA.

I lived in LA back in '76. All I had for transport was a borrowed Honda MC. Was it called a 350? I was just out of college - Kent State. My God, MCs are scary. I had to give up freeways and took to the side streets. I started sailing before I can remember. My Dad took it up when I was a little kid. I can't remember not knowing how to sail. We have always been Great Lakes sailors, though I have sailed the Gulf, the Atlantic, and the Pacific. I was Navy Reserve after college, but I don't know what…

Forget the motorcycle. Vikings sail. Get a sailboat. One with a full keel and put to sea! Or get a motorcycle if you would rather be a cowboy. Thirty-two recommendations? Okay. You definitely want to help this guy. Well done.

There is a movie titled "As Good as It Gets." Jack Nicholson plays a writer. A waitress, who is a fan of said writer, likes the way he writes female characters and asks him; “How do you write women so well” Nicholson responds, “I think of a man and I take away reason and accountability”. I am 66 and that movie was made in 1997. When I heard that line about 23 years ago it was like a light going on. "That's it!", I realized. Reason and accountability. Do you hold yourself accountable for your act…

Suicide is an inalienable right BUT it is always the last right you'll ever use. From an outsider's POV your situation isn't THAT bad. You have your freedom. You can opt out completely without killing yourself. Move to Argentina or somewhere where they can't touch you. Get control over your emotions. You CAN take the pain. Accept you loss. Runda fukaway! Me? I am a natural born flight risk. If I get bailed out I be in the wind, especially if I'm innocent.

In the not so distant past most women got married because marriage was a good deal for the husband and the wife. A man didn't need an attractive wife.

Hey kid, at least for your sake I hope you are a kid, have you learned nothing about women on your short stay on Earth? Unless these women are professionals, and especially if they are friends or even know one another, no good can come out of this or you. You seem to like to boast, even about things you haven't done yet. You will pay and pay and pay for this ill advised stunt in ways you clearly haven't even imagined. Here is a hint: women don't really like or respect men. What could possibly go…

Generations of American males being raised by single mothers. Couldn't be all the drugs mommy has authorized to be fed to their sons for acting like little boys. Animal studies and case reports have suggested that methylphenidate (MPH) exerts adverse effects on the reproductive system or gonadal hormones. However, it is unclear whether MPH treatment reduces testosterone levels in children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

I have learned to become self indifferent. Stop caring about what you think you want because most of what you want is the result of brainwashing. You need a woman for only one thing and that is to become a father. Self esteem is a form of masturbation. Quit worrying about how you feel.

Ha ha ha ha! So true. Plus they get mad at you if it rains on the day they planed for a cookout, once you've married them. You will always somehow be complicit in anything that goes wrong in their lives once you're married. And when they finally get around to divorcing you, you'll never see it coming.
