Not just that, think about what admitting the truth means for this guy's self-concept. Usually people use it in a moral sense, but morality lacks objectivity or substance and thus has no place in TRP (which is at its core a place for discussing things that are). For me it helped to realize that a lot of the things I was spending time on—reddit for hours, grinding video games, etc.—weren't even fun so much as distracting, so if I was going to be bored I might as well be bored reading Moby Dick or learning trade skills.
