A bit more Google research turns up that the academic paper that the text on the subject that circulates around the Internet on the matter was a literature meta-review written like 20-30 years ago by a guy who was involved in the Swedish version of NAMBLA, so take it with a grain of salt since it's probably biased (but I can't find any mention of academic papers being written to disprove it, or even any blogposts picking apart its sources either, so it might not be entirely wrong).

To bring my own anecdotes into the fray, I've called several guys creepy. But I have to say that they're level of attractiveness played no role in that label. I call people creepy when they make me feel uncomfortable. And if you found them attractive, you wouldn't have felt uncomfortable, you would have felt excited. So, yes, attractiveness did play a role here.
