.........It's your life man. In my opinion, that's ridiculously douchey and lame. The girls that respond positively to something like that are probably not the girls I'd really want to sleep with anyway. To each his own though. If you're gonna do it, rock it is all I'm saying.

Wow I come back to skim over this subreddit and this is the top rated post. What the fuck? If you're getting "discarded" or whatever that means you're not an interesting person to whoever you're talking to. There's no proper response, just stop caring so god damn much, keep improving yourself and have some fun. As if saying a one liner would suddenly flip the girl's perception of you.

Yup that's how I see it as well. Being this flaky guy that just hits on girl after girl can be just as unattractive as being a guy that never hits on any. Find: Congruency with your inner desires. Courage and confidence (they go hand in hand). A genuine belief that life is too short to waste it on negativity. There you go. I just summarized all of this subreddit's posts in three broad categories.

If that's just his true self and not him trying to make a point to himself then that's perfectly fine. I agree you should be you 100%, but we all have different personalities.

Then that's what you need to work on personally. Too many people here take "not giving a fuck" way too literally and they come off as a overly goofy or obnoxiously unbearable. You can call it "calibrating" or whatever the hell term they have for that part of human interaction.

Limiting beliefs vs. personal choice. Some people choose to never censor anything they do, other people like to pick and choose which social norms they follow. Shades of gray, all that shit.

That's why I said there's a fine distinction. It's balancing your natural inclination to do what you want and learning when to suppress that urge and sit within societal norms. Doing too much of either is counterproductive. I mean I'm not saying to sit there at a bar with a beer thumbing your own ass. When you're out to party, you're out to party. We all wear masks whether we like it or not, adapting to each situation and still maintaining yourself is the hard part, while having one face (on eit…

If it's working for you, it's working for you and if this new, louder version of yourself is genuinely who you are inside then keep rocking.

I like the idea of just enjoying life and support the notion 100%, but some of the things you're doing are really fucking obnoxious. It's the kind of mentality that a lot of teenagers have when they're being "so random lol". When people say to be outcome independent and true to yourself there is a fine distinction from becoming an unsettling douchebag and a genuinely attractive/interesting dude. I'm not saying to be afraid of what people think of you, but to avoid acting like an idiot to make a …

LISTEN!!! You need a shift in perspective. This is coming from a guy that used to be terribly depressed and I know how it can make everything seem so hopeless and dull. From what you typed you might need to look into therapy, you sound depressed and like you're using pick up to try and replace the fact that you have serious self worth issues. Obviously, pick up only compounded your problems. Why? Because you're applying a topical solution of trite sayings and mechanical processes to try and get …

THIS IS EXACTLY WHY YOU ARE FAILING. You doubt yourself, you try to dissect PASSION, and you live your life shackled to FEAR. How can you be inadequate at something you love? Think about that. You don't do something to be good at it. You can be fucking good at anything. You do something because it makes you happy. That's his whole point and you and a large portion of the population fail to see the big picture.

Thinking during a conversation does not equate to overanalysis or preplanning your moves or consciously pondering their body language. Conversation is a perfect example of how fluid social interaction is. It's in the moment, it's spontaneous, it's fast and the best conversations are those that DON'T have people sitting there for a minute thinking of what to do next. Those conversations are full of passion and it's when two people are able to connect fully and without inhibition. THAT'S social in…

Yes, it is simple. By its very nature it is simple because it is a conditioned human behavior from when you are growing up to who you are now. You equating it to calculus is a perfect example of the wrong mentality. It might be difficult to someone who was raised by wolves or isolated from people all their life to learn the steps. For the vast, vast majority of people in this world, barring those with disorders and shitty rare circumstances, it is a fluid movement that we have had contact with a…

"OK this is actually a VERY GOOD attitude because you have RESPECT for the moment, respect for women and respect for truth and all that is good in the world." Thinking about it, I realize that this is a very personal question. It depends on the situation and who I am. For me, as a person who can attract the girl and make her laugh / connect it's obvious I need to push a bit harder and make a conscious effort to reach out more. Something so situational and hard to explain to people over the inter…

I think you're trying way, way too hard. Instead of having fun you're thinking about who will help you get laid and who won't. Is that why you've been learning this stuff? So you can use people to get yourself girls and sex?

Don't suppress your negative feelings, they are there for a reason. I don't know your history so I have no idea why you're feeling this deep negativity. If it is constant, powerful, or tied to your past it might be a serious problem. A not so popular suggestion here on Seddit is getting therapy. If you feel like your issues have caused you to feel miserable for periods of time before, you need help getting over them. No amount of "man up" or "hit the gym" will wave away personal issues. Think lo…

I admire the fact that you had balls to go out and just repeatedly fail. You did great, but there is a massive problem with your underlying thinking. You absolutely cannot expect to live a successful, fulfilling life with the kind of negative thinking you have. You will cheapen your victories and deny yourself the biggest and best fruits of your labor if you continue. No one that is a natural deludes themselves into thinking everyone is their best friend. Inner game starts with a single grain of…

This is a question that you know better than any of us because it involves a personal relationship dynamic. Flaking out can be anything and it's not for you to assume and create scenarios in your head. Your best bet is to move on and keep your focus on yourself.

I feel like you were using your fraternity as a crutch and all those girls that loved you were most likely more receptive because you all had a common thread. Now that you're on your own and don't really have friends, girls, and parties handed to you, you're finding how much it means to have real confidence no matter your current situation or affiliation. Welcome to the real world I guess. P.S. I don't mean to fraternity bash, but a lot of guys end up using it as a substitute for real confidence…

I agree with what you're saying about the 1 girl for 5 minutes is better than 5 girls for 1 minute. I mean how many people do you meet a day and never think of them again? If you make that impression on someone it means so much more. I'm a little skeptical of adding a rigid point system to such a fluid thing like human interaction, but hey what the hell? As long as I don't take it too seriously it can be a fun way to tally up my progress :) Let's do it! Also, I'm actually going through RSD Bluep…

I really like this idea. I know a lot of people, especially me, get complacent with just being able to talk to girls casually and shooting the shit. I just might do something like this to really get myself out there.

Nope! No quote. I just got so sick of feeding myself excuses about why I don't have a girl RIGHT. NOW. I've been reading here for a long time, but I never really sunk my teeth in and got out there. Now I am :) It's just my 90 days to really kick my own ass. You should try it!

Ohp! Sorry, I actually forgot to mention that I did write up a little word document on my computer with all my actual goals and specific focuses. For me personally it's: Talk to 5-10 different girls every day to get really, really damn comfortable. Getting natural with kino. Being direct, holding eye contact past levels of comfortability, and being able to talk to girls that are very attractive without feeling choked up or nervous. No more excuses. Throw myself fully out there in every interacti…

I feel like I'm in the same position. I'm in a good spot in my life but honestly I feel fine spending my weekends playing video games, reading, and shitting it up on forums all day. It's fun for me and while it'd be cool to go party and meet people I get bored really fast and find myself wanting to come home and sit at my computer. It might be you're just in a small funk in your life and need some time to take a break. In my opinion, I would say don't force yourself to talk to people and try to …

Uh that is a TERRIBLE and completely immature view on relationships and marriage in general. Being an 'alpha' male is fine, but healthy marriages and relationships in general run on mutual respect and compromise. You're not a badass when everything is on 'your terms', you're an awful husband and life partner.

Rule of thumb, talking on the dance floor besides a couple of words to tease her or comment on her dancing or whatever isn't practical. You have to shout and it kills the vibe. Let your bodies do the talking. Like you said, different girls have different styles. If a girl pushes back hard she wants you to do the same cause she likes to dance a bit dirtier/rougher. It's not like she's asking you to back off with her ass. Keep a fun mentality. Don't poison your night with ridiculous thoughts. Good…

You did fuck up with Girl A. You made a joke about her flirting with a guy from work because you were insecure about the attention you were getting from her. Her romantic life is none of your business and it's a dick move for you to make fun of it, especially in public. Stop stressing about the details with Girl B and just play it by ear. Stop thinking so much.

Yo dude you need to chill. Calling girls bitches because they're misguided and have equally retarded dating advice (PUA for guys is FILLED with trash just as mechanical as that link) thrown at them is awful and misogynistic.

Good effort, keep going. You need to work on your inner game man. A lot of your anxiety in the club and speechlessness is because you lack confidence to just do whatever the hell you want. Focus less on when you should be doing technique and more on when it feels natural to do so. The moment you consciously think about kino is the moment it comes out that much more forced. Also, forget M. She is one in 3.7~ billion girls in this world. Stop oneitis before it even starts.

You have the wrong mindset. You should be going to parties for the sole purpose of having fun. Look at how other people dance with girls. Do you see everyone tapping each other on the shoulder asking their names and then proposing a dance? No, you just go up and dance and if someone wants to dance with you their body language and eyes will tell you so. Let me reiterate. DO NOT GO TO PARTIES WITH THE THOUGHT OF MEETING A GIRLFRIEND. It's weird, puts too much pressure on yourself, and you're not h…

You need to lighten up a little bit. Don't take this personally, but your FR makes you sound very exacting and weird. If you're constantly thinking about all the nitpick-y techniques (not discredting them, they are integral parts of communication) and how/when to do them you're not gonna be natural and everything's gonna come out forced.

Making stuff up IS lying. I don't know where you got the idea that it's not. Improvising and making up bullshit to try and impress others are two very different things. One is for stage performance and the other is to try and make people believe in an illusion about your life.

You already have the wrong attitude. If you're serious about improving yourself you could have read through the sidebar intended for newbies. Don't expect people to be telling you what to do every step of the way. Take initiative. Work out, diet, get a hair cut, update your wardrobe, work on self confidence, read people's posts here and dissect what is good and bad. It's on you.

There is no way to prove your worth to yourself. It's like waking up and trying to prove you're confident. It takes a long time of working on yourself to be able to look in the mirror and say I'm worth it. You're right that peptalk won't get you anywhere far. That's why you have to talk yourself up and at the same time do things in your life that are interesting and make you happy. Find a hobby, get more into the ones you already have, work out, dress better, etc.

I have the same problem as you do. I have a group of high school friends but I never made any reliable set of buddies past high school. People like me or at least they make it seem as such. I'm told I'm interesting, friendly, outgoing, and quirky and I have a lot of fun but I never really get invited out to anything by anyone. I'm usually the one asking people what's happening and I get tired of it. I'm still young though and I suppose it's cause people are still in that clique mentality that ca…

It is definitely a mentality. I actually just got done with one of the hour long videos that Tyler from RSD put up on YouTube. What you described about being outcome independent moment by moment IS what people mean when they say that term. It is living in the here and now and not getting caught up in calculating outcomes before they even happen. I think all you really did was clarify its real meaning. "Outcome-independence" is basically not giving a fuck. It's being you, and only you cause you l…

Hey Rob! I've been on and off again with the seddit community for a while and I wanted your opinion on a couple of things: 1.) I'm currently in college and I've never had a girlfriend. I've had flings and girls hint at me, flirt with me, etc. but for some reason it's never turned into anything really serious. If you could look back at yourself in your late teens/early 20's what would you tell yourself? 2.) For me personally I feel like I just need to get out there more to solidify my inner game …

Yeah in fact a couple of other things happened that night which I don't want to say, but overall the night was more like a "when I was young and stupid as hell I..." story to me now. It's embarrassing as fuck but I genuinely think it was funny cause of the dumber details.
/r/seduction05/06/11 09:59 PM

Yeah I noticed that too. Before I smoked with her I was chatty, having a lot of fun with her, and just being good old me. After I was high I was a lot less chatty and more in my head like you said, which is a KILLER for tense situations where I have to be on my toes and sharp. I still like to smoke but it's definitely going to happen much more differently next time.
/r/seduction05/06/11 09:58 PM

Oh yeah sorry I didn't mean to make it sound like weed is some devil drug that makes you super paranoid all the time. I just started smoking casually like 1-2 months ago.

Definitely. I'm really still embarrassed that I managed to butcher the situation so badly but I really did learn a lot. Yeah I could have ended the night the way I wanted to if I hadn't smoked and kept a clearer head but would it have been necessarily better? I wouldn't have learned what I learned and I wouldn't be able to hone what I need to work on. It's more of an embarrassingly funny story to me more than anything. Yes! I noticed that too that my overthinking problem usually stems from my lack of confidence and fear of how other people will receive my actions (again, I am shutting myself down by imagining failed results). I feel like I'm so close to a breakthrough all I need is that final push to reach where I want to be.

You did great man. I know it feels a bit shitty to have someone ignore you after they show interest but look at it this way. You did what you wanted to, you tried, SHE lost out. You're on your way to becoming the best you you can be so don't guilt yourself for trying! Also, I don't know if you clarified that you wanted to hang out with just her or if she just brought her friends for the hell of it but clarify next time that you just want to hang with her.
