Sorry mate I don't quite understand what you mean? If anything bjj you can practice full speed when you roll moreso than Muay Thai/kickboxing sparring. In our MMA session we obviously can't go more than 50% with 4oz when we use them and even 10oz sometimes so a hard roll in bjj can go 100% with the exception of holding off on submissions e.g don't torque a heelhook the entire way.

How does mat time not equal skill? I know for a fact if I trained 2-3x more bjj per week I'd be a lot better since it's my weakest area; I used to grind boxing/Muay Thai hours and hours per week and my performance skyrocketed. I understand you might mean putting in time for the sake of it and not learning, but this simply isn't the case for most as myself and most people I train with are like information sponges and noticeably improve when we do long sessions.

I doubt all of them are. I've found that more work-intensive courses have higher SMV, more -RP dudes like medicine for example (definitely the majority are BP but moreso than other courses there are exceptions.) firstly try and find the guys who work very hard, lift etc and then focus on their personality that's my advice if you want to establish a circle of RP, high-SMV guys.

I think talking with conviction and carefully is attractive, no stumbling and stuttering. They're not unrealistic but you have to put yourself into the position to do things like that I guess. MMA groups and boxing gyms form very close bonds so through some form of combat sport or extreme sport (if they interest you) close bonds could be made and lifelong friends. That's how I feel about the matter but there are many other ways.
