I'm a merchant mariner. Gone for months at a time. I'm average looking and fairly good at conversation. The hits I get are interesting to say the least. Some are quite attractive yet 2 conversations in, that's that. It's work. You've got to make sure your pics look good, your description is attention grabbing, etc... This last vacation home I had made an individual on an app. We chatted online for a month before I got home. Spent some time together and became really, really good friends. No sex …

Oh my friend. Believe me when I tell you that many of us have been where you are. My boys were grown but still I wept over the death of my marriage and my family. It's ok. It's more than ok. That we are able to tolerate the amount of pain heaped upon us by those we once loved indicates strength not weakness and even the strongest dam must be relieved of pressure occasionally. They will never, NEVER, undertsand the damage they inflict upon us. Cry. Weep. And be better for it.

Get. A. Lawyer. You say you would prefer to proceed without one. Don't do that anymore than you would perform heart surgery on yourself.

Lawyer. You need to get a lawyer. A lawyer is what you need. You should not proceed without a lawyer. The single most important thing you can do right now is get a lawyer

Let me triple that: GET A LAWYER. Don't mess around. ASAP. Yesterday. This is extremely important.

I would amend and say that her relationship.with her family isn't the problem its her lack of a relationship with.you. She treated you no better than the furniture. File for divorce. Get some new furniture and a new place. Don't even indicate you care about getting back together with her. No kids? It's just an expensive breakup. Now you'll get to find someone (or they'll find you) who respects your feelings, wants to spend time with you and is their own person. Not a piece of a hive mind family.…

I don't know what state you are in but I know for sure that your son will behave more erratically as this instability increases. I would highly recommend that you reach out to your local Mental Health organizations and ask, nay, beg for help managing your son. You need to work, he needs stability. If they have a counselor/home caregiver who can help and maybe even provide therapy then that's a win-win. In that situation the possibility exists for you to get a no trespass order. You live in the h…

That is disappointing on the therapist side. Highly recommend you find a new one and keep trying. It is a lot to process and work through. It's tough. I am a fairly strong individual. I had an abusive childhood I escaped from, abandoned by many and this was absolutely the most difficult thing I've struggled with. As for harming yourself? No way, no how. You have a lot in your future. One which primarily involves you. It could be gardening, traveling or having coffee with as many wonderful people…

25 years married here. Get a therapist. It does get better but you need a professional to help you through. Take care of your children. Make sure they know you love them. Get a therapist. It is the hardest thing you may ever go through but go through it you must. You deserve happiness. You deserve to be loved. Get a therapist.

That's good. In the meantime crash somewhere else as much as possible. Have your lawyer put in the agreement that anything she leaves after her move out day is no longer hers. My ex keeps asking my done to bring her stuff and I finally had to get a no trespass/ no removal order. Do that from the get go or she'll be bugging you forever

Have you moved out? I would say get your own place as soon as possible then those logistics are yours. You can get netflix, whatever kind of internet you want, watch as much PornHub as you can handle. Your life is yours now. The sooner you make the separation physical and/ or mental the sooner you can begin to heal. Trust me on this, I let my ex stay in my house and it was a pain in the ass. Get an agreement in place about daughter staying with you and move out. Don't argue over stuff. You can a…

Here is my advice: Right away get a lawyer. Right away get a therapist. This IS the hardest thing you will ever go through. If you handle it well and navigate it carefully you will be ok, in time. The end of your marriage is like the death of something and it takes time to grieve. You deserve love. You deserve happiness. Your daughter deserves to see you in love and happy. Talk to those who care about and get the support you need. In time you will be ok and perhaps even better than you were befo…

The lady friend is definitely a positive thing. I felt like a complete failure in my life and have since discovered, despite my rather average looks, that I am desirable to more than one woman. Quite eye opening and pleasant. An improvement over my old life.

I was terrified. I was sad. Felt all the same things you do. I live on Cape Cod, also an expensive place to live. I bought my house and took on a huge mortgage. my children were grown but I was worried about who they would "choose". I cried a lot, I took medication, I saw two therapists. I thought I would be alone and broke. One year later and, oh my, how different the scenario turned out to be. I am financially stable, have a wonderful girlfriend and put the solar panels on (a point of contenti…

Never be embarrassed. Your cheating spouse should be embarrassed. Embrace your emotions. They make you, you.

I cried for 6 months off & on. That someone you loved so deeply did such a terrible thing is almost unbearable. But it is bearable. You're going to be sad, angry, depressed sometimes all at the same time. BUT It will get better. You'll find peace and calm. Maybe even get into a relationship. Take it slow. Process your emotions and set a good example for your children. I highly suggest you see a therapist if you aren't already. Good luck.

I am in no way shape or form a professional BUT if you need to talk to someone right now I'll be glad to chat. I've been where you are and it does subside and get better. I know it's incredibly hard to believe but it's true. If you want to talk I'll DM my number. In the meantime talk to a professional or call the National Suicide Hotline: 1-800-273-8255 You matter. You are loved.
