For the first time in a long time I feel pretty good. I spent two years on surviving infidelity and year here. I've touched the darkest part of my life and come up to a pretty, no, very good place. I'm about to hit the road in a converted van and start seeing all the National Parks. My finances are better than they ever have been, my kids are doing well, I've got an amazing girlfriend and other women who are interested in case that falls through. My career is stable.

1 1/2 years ago? I thought my life was ending. Confused, angry, bitter, in love with someone who clearly no longer loved me. I couldn't let go, I was terrified and scared. I didn't know what I do or how I would do it. I now know the answer. I'll pass some on to you:

1) GET A THERAPIST. You can't do this alone.

2) GET A LAWYER. You don't know how the court system works.

3) Stay calm.

4) Be a good example for your children.

5) Get organized. Make a financial plan, make a plan for your kids. Take her off of your life insurance, change your beneficiaries, change your passwords, don't let her use your netflix, there's lots of stuff.

6) Don't fight over stuff. It's just stuff, you can get more.

It was hard for me and probably will be for you. Reach out for help, don't be ashamed to cry, make sure your kids know you love them.

It. Will. Be. Okay.

You deserve to be loved. You deserve to be treated with respect. You deserve to be treated with dignity.

I'm not gonna follow this sub any more. It's been helpful but I am well beyond the hump of the difficulties most face here.

I'll see you over in men's issues.
