They dont need to have value for you. If as little as 20% of men are satisfied with sex dolls, and go off the dating market, it's going to create a massive power shift towards the men who remain in the dating market.

The constant focus on how and when masculinity is or can be toxic, is a purely ideologically driven attempt at undermining men. If it were not, there would be more concerns about when femininity is toxic, but that discussion is, of course, off the table.

Well it's even worse than that. Remember that the people who allegedly oppressed women are the great great fathers of not just you and me, but of feminist women too. So in your analogy it's like a German calling another German a Nazi.

A friend of mine who lives there told me that he's paying child support based on his income only (not the mom's income) and there's no deduction for the 15% time the kid spends with him. The custodian parent will receive a given amount for the child, irrespective of whether they work or not.

Funny how people dont realize that the biggest privilege men have, is that they are not raised like princesses, coddled, and protected from outside threats. Thanks to that they learn to fend for themselves, take risks and learn to deal with failures, and rejection. And to become a grown up person, that's all... You wonder what sick mind believes that treating girls and then women like the world is a dangerous place - is going to help them in the long run.

Of course it takes courage. The reason men are more successful in business is that society tells them, from early age on, that it's their role to take risks, to face rejection and failure. If you're a woman, try it, you'll see it's tough, but it builds character. This is explained very well in this Ted talk: Teach girls bravery, not perfection

"If I knew I would have to pay, I wouldn't have ordered so much" This is exactly why socialism doesn't work. People are careful with resources, money, and avoiding waste, only when they're accountable for it. When you spend other people's money there's no downside wasting it.

Current day's feminism is actually taking a caricature of the worst stereotypes about women (irrationality, emotionality) and turning them into virtue.
/r/AntiFeminists26/01/21 03:46 AM

The main issue with that is that time and attention comes before sex and affection, so men always take the risk of giving and not getting anything back.

The judgment of a woman are more powerful than that of a jury of people... Jury of unbiased people who finds murderer guilty, based on evidence, testimony, and beyond reasonable doubt: person will go to prison, probably not death row, given that it doesn't exist everywhere Woman who claims she was abused, has no evidence (not least because the kill alleged abuser will not be able to testify): she can sentence the alleged abuser to death, barely gets punished.

When women complain about how sportswomen make so much less than men (for reasons that are purely due to the fact that people spend 10x more money on watching men's sports than women's) - I always remind them that porn actresses make way more than actors. And for prostitutes, the ratio tends to infinite.

There's one number I'd be curious about, it's the percentage of men who would like to have children but don't have them. I am pretty sure that this number is much higher than for women. A woman can pick up a stranger in a bar and be pregnant. For a man there are way more requirements, and many men do not and will not qualify.

The worst case, that I get to experience recently, are 40+ who state they want kids on dating profiles. If you're a man who doesn't want kids, you're not going to date a woman who wants kids If you're a man who wants kids, you're not going to date a woman who's 40+ and only has a small chance of being able to have kids.

1) rape is criminal, chances are you're getting caught, and go to jail for that. Lying about rape is not really punished, chances are you're going to be helped by authorities (police / courts), it won't cost you anything, and you won't go to jail for it 2) it's not that women are liars, or that women don't get raped. It's just that if you state as principle #believewomen, then you're going to have way more women lying than there would be otherwise.

SAHM work is massively overrated - unless you have lots of small kids, the amount of work per week to maintain a house / take care of the kids is maximum 20h per week, driving kids included. The guy's probably working 40h, higher stress + probably 3-6h of commute.

In Settling for Mr. Good Enough - the (female) author explains very well how 'tests' like the one you were subject to - are the kind of things that women mistakenly believe is going to help them find the right partner. When, in fact, it's just endlessly nitpicking about details and ruling out someone decent and with whom they have decent chemistry with, solely based on arbitrarily set rules (that have no correlation whatsoever with the guy being a good match or not).

Due to covid, restaurants are the main option if you don't want to freeze. Recently I had a couple of first dates with Ivy-league educated women who prob make over $200k, and they all played dumb when the ~$100 check arrived. I make way more than them, granted, but still, I am not a charity. These dates went well overall, but not amazing - so I have zero desire to get back in contact with these women (and they don't seem to have taken the initiative either). My ex has always been terrible at listening at me and giving me advice when I had to vent about work or was interviewing for a new job (typically because she had too much to tell me about how mean the women of the PTA were with her). Given that she was a (non-practicing) lawyer, she sometimes had good advice w.r.t. negotiation. One day, out of euphoria when I got a good job offer I told her she's the best lawyer on the planet. I enjoy women's companies, not just having sex, but also the cuddling after, and waking up next to them. As well as the companionship, and their ability to look at things in a different way. Of course I could establish boundaries in order to never suffer, but I could also kill myself to make sure I never do. That's not how I see life. The way I see it, is to make sure I am aware of society's misguided conventions, and recognize when a woman is taking advantage of them. The women I did meet who w…

One of the strengths of feminism is that it means to fight for gender equality, but it does so by appealing to the most patriarchal and gender-unequal feelings in all of us, i.e. that of throwing away facts, listening to emotions, protecting women and their feelings at all cost. It's not said enough, but the biggest ally of feminism is the patriarchy. The father who's consoling his little girl who comes crying because some boy was nasty to her (without trying to find out exactly what happened) i…

Whoever invites pays makes sense in a society where dating dynamics are more equal, which is nowhere. Whoever invites pays kinda makes sense if the invitation comes out of nowhere - say you see someone at your gym and ask them out. They were not planning to go to the restaurant, but you asked them so they are. But on a dating app, it's pretty obvious that people are there to go on dates. For that reason, it's quite hypocritical to wait for someone to propose a date then pretend that in fact they…

It's when you try to make someone believe that they're crazy for raising some issue, making people doubt that they're reasonable raising said issue Gaslighting is a form of emotional abuse that's seen in abusive relationships. It's the act of manipulating a person by forcing them to question their thoughts, memories, and the events occurring around them. A victim of gaslighting can be pushed so far that they question their own sanity.Mar 23, 2017

Did you? I personally did not. I don't know Camille Paglia's inside out, but from the lectures I've seen of her, and the risks she's taken to fight against feminists on college campuses, I'd say she's done more to advance the cause of men than the average redditor on FSW has.

Not true - if you follow Camille Paglia, she was part of the first wave of feminists. In the 1960, when women's dorms had a curfew and men's not, they were told: 'It's dangerous out there for you girls, you could be assaulted'. Paglia and her fellow feminists said: 'We don't care, we'll take the risks, but we want freedom'. 30y later, Paglia became an anti-feminist and accuses the feminist movement to infantilize women, and to not stand for equality.

Calling anti-feminists = misogynists is a complete fallacy. It's a bit similar to a little kid shouting 'I hate you' to their parents because they don't agree with a punishment. It's the idea that doing things that are not good for one party (in the short term) means you don't care about them. Such an immature thing to think.

What's sad is how women will really consider they should be getting a preferential treatment because they have a vagina, but want to pretend that it is for some other reason (which most of the cases does not exist). As a result of that, they just get upset when the truth comes out, that the vagina *was* the only reason. If instead they didn't expect a preferential treatment then they wouldn't face the ugly truth.

What does it matter? It's like asking if the key software developers at Amazon are smarter than Bezos or not (which they probably are). In the meantime, if men were smarter, there wouldn't be that many simps getting manipulated by women. So they are smart, in a way that doesn't make them product stuff, but gets them the stuff from someone without even having to work for it.

I still think that men's jobs are way more at stake in the longer term because of automation. It might be harder to be a truck driver (or an x-ray specialist) than being a housekeeper, but automation really targets the former category. Men should try to infiltrate some more feminine fields now rather than the day they become obsolete in droves.

Good to hear that. I also have the impression, from doing the calculations, that alimony and cs will cost less than what she actually spends every month. Women in the west are clearly torn between their innate desire to be provided for, defended, treated as delicate beings - while at the same time wanting to be mouthpieces for the feminist movements. They want to let you know they won't tolerate any kind of inequality (even though they're fine with inequality that play in their favors). Don't have the answer, but I am pretty convinced that sex robots will improve and normalize, and that is potentially going to be ravaging to the power that women currently have on men. Just look at the situation in some E-European countries. There, men of 40 look like 65 because of alcohol and hard work. They're also usually not simps at all. This is a great question, hopefully my opinion is not too far from the norm, let me give it It may sound strange, but the less I find a woman I meet interesting, the quicker I will want to hook up with her. The reason for me, is that, any attractive woman who will sleep with me, is a win. Unlike what people say about having sex with women is a 'trophy', it's not this at all. It's just that sex feels good if you do it with someone you're attracted to, and I see absolutely no downside of having se…

Didn't read all of it, but usually Daisy Cousens is very reasonable. She's anti-feminist, calls out all the liberal bullshit and you can see a MAGA hat! She's saying she has great sympathy to what men go through. I think we should not disparage women who act as what liberal would call 'allies'. Unlike white male liberal knights, who do it in order to get laid, I think that anti-feminist women do it really out of compassion and a sense of justice.

The same is true for slutshaming. Other than in Muslim countries - sure, in general which man with a brain will go shame women for sleeping around? It's just other women who do everything to reduce the supply of free sex so they can bargain it for more.

How many really interesting or profound conversations you had with women? The most interesting I've had were usually with smart women (who tended to be good looking as well), and it was amazing how they agreed 100% on how spoiled women are and how tough it must be for men. I don't believe that. Sure - there's a small percentage of men who see women as pieces of meat no matter what. But many men are able to appreciate women's non-sexual value. The issue is that there's a whole bunch of women who don't have much of that non-sexual value to begin with. They will have no deep interest, stuff they went through that cost them in terms of time / energy / sacrifices, so, at the end of the day, when you meet them, the only thing they can talk about is what they think of Ki…

For equality to exist, both parties must be in a position to walk away without suffering negative consequences. From a purely biological perspective, there is some balance: sure, a woman can reject a partner, but then, a strong enough man can still force himself on a woman. What makes things unequal is that society makes it ok for a woman to reject a man's advances, but not ok for a man to use his physical strength to bypass her desires. This is of course a civilized thing to do, but it does lea…

Physical power pales in comparison to the power to recruit others to your cause... like women usually do (white knights). That's even more true that if you use physical power to obtain something, or even to defend yourself, it can be risky / costly, and it's usually a crime. Women who recruit white knights, be it passerbys, or the authorities, the court, etc... usually take zero risks and have these white knights do all the work for them.

Let alone why you should pay once the marriage is over. Does the ex-wife continue doing your food / laundry then? No. Men getting alimony is very rare. 40% of households have a woman as breadwinner, yet only 3% of the divorces have a woman paying alimony. During a few decades it seemed like feminists were about women's empowerment and independence. But then it turned out that this is not exactly what women wanted, so instead of saying it was a terrible idea, they've got from 'we're oppressed' to 'we're equal' to 'we're superior, therefore we need men to serve our needs (like men have actually done since the dawn of ages'.

If an employer is sexist and doesn't like women, he will pay a penalty of 20 for hiring men (while a non-sexist employer will simply hire a woman for cheaper). A key idea that I trying to get through, which I've heard from The Myth of Male Power, is that when one gender (thinks they) win, in fact both genders lose. One of the contradictions of feminism is that they say that the inequality between men and women is entirely due to the 'patriarchal society', i.e. men set a number of arbitrarily rules to benefit themselves and oppress women. Some of these consisted in saying that women are less good at managing things, regulating their emotions, even just 'thinking' (part of which is just 100% biological). The explanation for alimony for women is that they gave up their career and need to be compensated for it. How about a man who provided for his family by working a lot, didn't he give up his relationship with his children? Why is their no law to compensate him? Maybe he should get full custody (if he is able to) given how much he sacrificed? But no - laws are always made to look symmetric but in fact, they protect from things that typically harm women and not from things that typically harm men.

The issue with feminism is the constant mixed messages. When you create a men's right group, feminist will say that's unnecessary, because men's issues are part of feminism. But then when you actually ask more, they say it's not. All they want is to have an unequal fight, where they benefit from all the protection of the patriarchy, while at the same time asking for rights which the patriarchy would never grant them.

The issue is that feminism has made it taboo to demand any kind of virtue or selflessness from women (while expecting the same selflessness from men they have been expected to show since the dawn of ages). Feminism is a sure way to turn all women into selfish narcissists.

White knights coming in defense of feminism is absurd, because white knights are the most patriarchal being. Obviously feminists are never going to admit it, because they know that the only way to advance their cause (to be equal - in fact, really, to gain more rights) is to rely on the way the patriarchy views them (i.e. as beings who need to be protected).

/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen15/03/20 04:41 PM

Think about it, if you ask anyone in the streets, what is the definition of a 'good man' is, they'll give you a laundry list of requirements: "hard working, loyal, devoted to provide, responsible, reliable, ...". Try asking the same people, esp feminists, what a 'good woman' is, people will struggle to name a single virtue that is expected from women nowadays. So, the bar for 'good woman', is set very low by our society.

OK then maybe guys are better at saving face and dealing with the cognitive dissonance - or at least have the decency to not say things out loud like she does. Nobody will write: "She doesn't realize that if I marry her I am going to be so sexually satisfied by being able to empty my balls 3 times a day into a super hot girl". Women complain about being objectified all the time - and so they should, and here a man is being objectified, which really deserves to be called out.

Her intentions are so noble, and she's so in love: "Marrying him could change my life in many ways, I could have the opportunity to make someone as wonderful as him happy every day and grow as a person as a result." Oh no, wait, that's not what she wrote. "I could have the freedom and opportunity to do what I'm truly passionate about in life (read between the line: not passionate about him)". In other words, he's just an accessory in her own selfish, personal interests.

Birds are much more likely than humans to be killed by a predator. Yet people are going to try and protect humans much more than birds. Feminists view is that men's safety is irrelevant (but they still claim men and women should be equal).

Feminism ideology only works because of the unmovable patriarchal principles that women matter more than anything in society. When feminist say they want to get rid of patriarchy it's just a big bluff - they probably know that without the patriarchy, all of feminism falls apart.

Feminist have that knack of asking for more choices for women than those afforded to men, and then complaining that those very same choices suck. Marital rape was criminalized when women decided they had enough of being treated like a piece of meat. So women were entitled to deny affection as they wanted. And men who then try get that affection elsewhere are cheating assholes. But when a man denies money, or controls it tightly, then he is considered an abuser. Never mind that a woman is 100% entitled to get a job to reduce that dependence. Makes total sense...

What is pathetic is that people don't realize that being loyal means, among others, calling people out when they're destroying themselves (and doing collateral damage). It's not often pointed out but feminism has a lot in common with socialism. Socialism teaches people that they are oppressed / disadvantaged, instead of opening their eyes on the fact that taking responsibilities, risks and initiative are key to being successful. It pushes people to become lazy and not realize that if you kill the golden goose (i.e. punish the rich) the whole economy will collapse => practically speaking, ric…

The sexual liberation was something that women really wanted, and in the end, they just shot themselves in the foot. It all started with people living together before marriage and then having sex. If a girl spends her 20s meeting guys and refuses to settle because hypergamy, that's lame, and it's her loss. Which is why it should be called out. If a girl sleeps with many men without any intention of settling, I really see nothing wrong with that, as long as she has safe sex and doesn't abuse any if the guys. There's no double standards here: - domestic violence is *always* presented as a gendered issue, due to toxic masculinity, directly associated with misogyny, where women are the only victims. Stating that men are 40% of DV victims is a way to remind people that DV is not a gendered issue - even though homeless people are mostly men, this is not often something people remember. Women are actually very easy to deal with once you become able to see through their horse shit very true. It's years of being told by the entire world that they're 'princesses', that they can 'have it all', that they end up living in a world where everything revolves around them. And it doesn't help that the simps are brainwashed about how unique these girls are, even if they're not. Compared to a healthy relationship no. But for those men who went to marriage, and all they got was lousy sex for a few years then nearly no sex at all for many years after, all that to end up in a divorce where they gave half their wealth, $140 would be a massive bargain. If you do it twice a week, that's 15k$ per year - much cheaper than having a non-working wife or one that takes half your wealth when you divorce.
/r/MGTOW27/10/19 07:43 PM

I get that. My point is just to show that, when the market is legalized, prices go to a very affordable level. I was discussing with a friend recently who was married for less than 5y. It's not a few percent. It's much more than that.l, at least 80% can experience it through masturbation or oral. The issue is that for a guy, if he feels safe with a girl it turns him on, if he feels she's going to leave him he wont get it hard. For women it's the other way round: she'll be wet if she thinks you might leave her and she'll dry out as soon as she takes you for granted. That's a super unstable equilibrium.

Did the same a while back. Got the stuff shipped at work so I shared with my colleague. After a bit we started fiddling with the lock to the drawer in our desks, wasn't too hard. The next day, once we understood the idea, we challenged ourselves to do the same with a paperclip, and it worked. This was a major revelation. To be fair these desk drawers locks are pretty shitty, but still. Once you realize how easy it is to pick the standard yale lock, you wonder why you'd ever stress out about givi…

I may be naive, but I would tend to think that if you use the same language and weapons as SJW, i.e. feeling uncomfortable, unsafe, triggered, you did not consent, you feel victimized, etc... it might actually escalate to some diversity bureaucrat at the university. It's all about proving that one way or another you're a victim and you're oppressed, and then you're taken seriously. Obviously as white straight male, it's going to be a struggle, but I don't think it's impossible.

You're mostly rephrasing what I wrote in my original post. Society sees this interest for commitment as a proof of maturity when in fact it's just opportunism. If commitment meant having to provide for a family then women wouldn't be so eager about it anymore.

OK I think enough people blamed your for hooking up w a girl from work, but that's not the key point. I think you did well telling the guy this, hopefully it may make him think for a bit.

One of the key reasons women are deemed more mature is how they're more into commitment than men. But the reason for that is that for them, being in a relationship means not having to be self-reliant, while for a man it's the opposite. So of course they're going to be more committed. It's a bit like saying that poor people are more generous than rich people because they vote socialist

The technique of 'you have xxx-ism' therefore you hate xxx is so logically flawed, because it is simply a circular reasoning. For instance, they will say: if you're against feminism, you're against women, because feminism is for women. What always amazes me is how single women boast about doing it all themselves, but how many men have a stay-at-home wife who they have to provide for? So, sure, the wife will do some work (mostly when the kids are small), but past that stage, the money you spend on a SAHM is much more than whatever you would spend on a baby-sitter / cleaning lady. So providing for an entire family *including* a lazy-ass wife is harder than providing just for your kids.

Men are always flirting and making advances. It is upto the wife to make decision. On top of the fact that the hb has a relationship with the wife, which means they have agreed on a series of things that are allowed / not allowed. The other guy is just a 3rd party who never promised anything to anyone and didn't do anything illegal. The only reason for that is, once more, that women are never held accountable for their actions.

Russian girls are simply not brainwashed to believe that women are oppressed. What people don't get about fake reports is that the rate of rapes went down (because of increased scrutiny in our society), and the rate of fake reports went up (because of the reduced stygma, #believewomen, and the ease with which you can hurt a man without repercussions). So it may be that in the past for say 10000 women you had 95 rapes and 5 fake rape reports. But now you'll have 30 rapes and 50 fake rape reports. So more than half of the reports would be fake.

Not sure I agree with this. I observe a slant to the right in MGTOW, which I am totally happy about. But this is not a surprise: I think the left/right debate nowadays matches very closely the female/male debate: the left is into emotions and good intentions, while the right is about facts and results. I have an issue with the influence they have on the media, academia, politics, and most importantly, in pushing towards laws that make lives for men unfair, and create an atmosphere of distrust between genders which spoils a lot of what used to be good in our society. It's like saying that I don't mind there are people who are vegans, but if they start passing laws saying I can't b…

Virgins can be a disaster. I agree that perhaps you don't want to marry the town bicycle, but for having dated virgins seriously, I can say that as long as they're virgins there's no way to tell if they're into sex, and if you find out after the wedding that they're not, you're on the high speed lane to a dead bedroom. Too big a risk. I'd rather have a girl who's had a few partners and has a minimum of sexual maturity.

My point is that these women I've met had been many years in the US, and still thought that it's insanity. There's something very american about feminazism, there's much less of that in Europe.

<< If a woman tells you she's an anti feminist, ask her to name one benefit gained by feminism for which she's willing to take on the commensurate responsibility >> I don't agree with this. The big diff between feminists and anti-feminists is that anti-feminists recognize that they should give up some rights in order to maintain all their privileges. One of my very good female friends criticizes feminists all the time, so she's totally fine with guys objectifying her (she's pretty hot), if she's…

To be fair, for once a woman is being very explicit and admitting her own inconsistencies - so that's worth 100x more than the usual stuff. As much as I get annoyed when women pretend to want nice guys while treating them like shit, I find that here she is doing a genuine attempt at understanding what is wrong with her. She doesn't seem to mistreat nice guys, she doesn't look down at them, she just says that she does not feel much attraction. At this stage, it really looks like it's biological: …

I was quite amazed when I separated from my wife and started looking around. Girls of 15 years younger, mid 20s, would be fine hooking up seeing where it goes, while the mid-30s ones would usually be fucked up, or super mistrusting, making it simply not worth it. And the young ones were not necessarily costing me much, tbh. So when I see 30y old girls on dating apps saying they're looking for someone under 40, I know they're totally delusional.

Yeah, I was amazed by the number of times she wrote 'I want', without mentioning absolutely nothing about what she would offer in exchange. There's such a high level of narcissism in this post, but at the same time, it's very similar to most women's posts on dating apps. How can women have been brainwashed so much? That they don't re-read their laundry list of requests and at some point realize that, unless they looked like a Victoria Secrets model, there's no reason anyone would want to put up …

To be fair, out of 5 cases where the drivers wants to chat, 1 of them I really enjoy it, the 4 others I feel like I am doing a good deed by entertaining the poor guy who's spending the whole day in his car. I may appear super cheap, but in those cases, I really don't see why the guy would get a tip on top of the fact that he got my attention, when all I wanted was to check stuff on my phone or read on my kindle.

In essence, what we're talking about here, is that, even if you have a long-standing relationship and mutual trust with a man, at all points in your life, you're going to have an army of women and white knight (when it's not the police) to come to your rescue if the man in question has done something you don't like. It's infantilization at its worse, it's considering that women are some kinds of royalty who need a 24/7 detail, and men are a constant threat. Just because a tiny percentage of men …

I think alimony and child support are the only type of payment that you can go to jail for if you don't pay them. Even the IRS can not put you to jail if you don't pay. But your ex-wife, sure. That speaks so highly of the power of women. Reminds me of cases where some women killed their abusive partner. So sure, if you're in imminent danger and you kill someone so that you don't get killed yourself, or harmed, that's self-defense. But here we're talking about premeditated murder, i.e. a woman wo…

There seems to be no mention whatsoever of the lifestyle the men may have been accustomed, and if he needs to move in a small appartment with roommate so that his life can stay in the suburban 4-bedroom house, so be it. Never mind that the lifestyle was provided by him the whole time.

ok, let me rephrase - people are not inherently good, but if you put good incentives in place, they will have very little other choice than (pretend to) being good. An obnoxious restaurant owner is probably going to appear very friendly, because he knows that otherwise he risks not getting customers. On the other hand, if he is an unfireable employee of some government owned cafeteria, the chances that he will behave like an asshole are much bigger. The argument of 'but I sacrified my career to …

Unlike most people here, I don't believe in all these hypergamy stories about women, and that they're all evil leeches. But what I do believe in, is that, if the system is corrupt and provides the wrong incentives, people are going to go the wrong way. Specifically, I am saddened that there's such a resistance of society, and of women in particular, to simply re-examine the concept of marriage, and reform it in a way that makes it more equitable, and simply more reflective of what society has be…

What's so patently dishonest is when they say: "We know how to take care of ourselves". Because, if push comes to shove, the way they 'take care of themselves' is by extorting money from their ex-es, through alimony, instead of really being grown-ups. It's so pathetic that feminists insist on how independent they can be, and yet demand so much protection and subsidies.

When men complain how mistrustful women have become, and how dangerous the 'believe women' (a.k.a. don't believe men) doctrine is, they are called rape apologists. But when women complain that men in power start mistrusting men because of fake rape accusations, and decide to protect their careers by avoiding women, then again it's the men who are in the wrong. If think this particular issue is reflective of the very prevalent law of unintended consequences that plagues feminists and liberals in general. Let me explain with an analogy: minimum wage. Some people say: "If a business owner can not pay a living wage (say, of 15$), he does not deserve to be in business". But whether he 'deserves' to be in business or not is irrelevant. If his business shuts down (because that's what he deserves), then all the jobs that it created will be gone with it. Alter…

What strikes me as weird is that feminists claim that sex dolls 'objectify' women, when I feel it is just the other way round. If men could satisfy fully themselves sexually with sex dolls, it seems to me that they would then only hang out with women for the 'right' reasons, i.e. platonic (or at least non-sexual) friendship, mutual interests, companionship. How could that possibly hurt women? One of feminist's main grievances revolves around all the things men do regarding sex: sexual harassment…

The argument of 'if he's into sex dolls, it's not the kind of guy I'd be into anyway' is ridiculous. Or the argument of 'most men would not want a sex doll'. People do not understand basic economic principles. If say 20% of men consider that a sex doll is a perfect substitute for a woman (while the remaining 80% would never consider it), then instead of having 100 men for 100 women, you'll have 80 men for 100 women, say around 20y old. I read an interesting thing expanding on that. That explains why men usually shy away from men who get a lot of attention, while women are attracted by men who get a lot of attention. If a man sees a woman in a bar, and there are already a few guys circling around her, it is most likely going to dissuade him from approaching her. Why? Because (1) assessing a woman's beauty only require his own eyes - he doesn't need other guys to confirm that she's good looking and (2) more guys means more compe…

It does become a gendered issue not just because of rape accusations, but any accusations really. Women who meet a violent men are at risk of getting hurt, but at least they'll be helped by the police. Men who meet a violent women can also be hurt, can not retaliate, and if the police gets involved, as was the case here, he is the one to spend the night in jail (and now facing rape charges).
