Too much male attention breeds narcissism as well. Social media makes that easy to obtain for women. Then these women get an over-inflated perception of themselves and make demands that are unlikely to be fulfilled. I've seen this play out with many women.

The main issue with that is that time and attention comes before sex and affection, so men always take the risk of giving and not getting anything back.
