When I learned about grey rocking my sanity was saved. At least a little bit.

It's annoying when you're in a social situation (mutual friends/ classroom/ professional environment) and they try to manipulate you into responding to a non flirtatious inquiry. Like if they ask a stupid question like what time is it or something after it's been established that you rejected them.

And for people how don't have premium, you can still see where your searchers work. Some of your searches are your stalkers and you might be able to figure out who was searching for you if you know where they work in addition to any other info you might know about them.

This is a very realistic and practical answer and agree that it is fine that the husband can know about the account but just not be able to access it.

I also like the idea of his hers and ours. In marriage we are one, but nevertheless still retain some separateness.

I'm curious to see what future commenters will say. Thanks for posting this as it's a question I have often thought about too but can never come to a solid answer. I think everybody's circumstances are really different and warrant a different answer. I understand that it is really for future protection to hide away income/savings, but I personally wouldn't do it. I just would never put myself in a position where I don't have income or income producing assets at least. Perhaps my resolution is pe…

Ok even if you have a secret savings account it's still considered an asset of the marriage I think available for distribution purposes at the termination of a marriage. Edit 1: I'm surprised that so many commenters are saying you should hide income. Idk I wouldn't want to be married if I feel I have to do that. I don't want to be naive but either my marriage begins with honestly or I don't get married at all. At least if I end up divorcing I have my dignity. Edit 2: my preference would be that …

Honestly I would be so scared to argue. I would just drop some cash and run. Why engage? Good luck finding someone to "go out to eat with you" in the future buddy.

"You can love someone and recognize that the relationship doesn't serve you or help you" I want to believe this is true. I think it can be. No one is 100 percent good or bad, but it can be so hard to extend love to an immediate family member that has unapologetically abused you.

Its super freaky when someone "hate-likes" you.

I feel for you. Women need to stop enabling men like this by dumping their asses, but unfortunately many women only realize their regret after having kids with such a degenerate. I recently discovered grey rocking to deal with people like this in my life. It has really helped. I completely stop engaging mostly. Don't encourage the narcissist.

Because they are so full of themselves they think you even looking their way (no sex on the table) is the equivalent of you agreeing to commit to them. They are so misinformed. Keep on ignoring them queen I'm in the same boat.

Good luck to you. I would advise against moving with a man ever even if you think he is a HVM. It's not worth it.

Definitely work on cultivating strong relationships with women. Your doing great!! Try not to live alone if you can avoid it unless of course you can prefer it. As a 20 year old woman living far from home you are seen as prey to the worst types of men but you can fight this and be a success. Definitely don't go into detail about your LVM ex with men ever and basically anyone ever because even some women will try to go against you.

Yes same here! It's the energy people give off. I see women in their 30s40s and beyond exude beauty while other women in their 20s look sad and unfulfilled like they are yet to discover their worth yet.

Honestly I don't understand the "looks fading" myth. The late teens/early twenites were horrible for me looks wise. Acne, overweight and lack of control of finances and nutrition. I mean I'm only in my mid twenties but I swear it gets better by the day. I have seen women in their late 30s, 40s and onward who are downright sexy and beautiful and so comfortable in their skin and have their style down I just want to emulate them and become just like them. QUEENS. Edit: As for the leveling up I real…

It's so sad because there was a always a lady at the checkout of the laundromat and for whatever reason this creep was there that day and now I can never go back. I'm going to have to look into a mini washer, but in my city we're most likely not permitted to have them

Wtf how can I prevent people from looking at my card Edit: come think of it I had similar experience where I was picking up some laundry at the laundromat and I was making small talk with the cashier while I was paying and somehow he managed to weasle in a question about whether I had a pet, Roommate or boyfriend living with me. It caught me so off-guard I just stared blankly. Edit: this guy was definitely 20 plus years older than me

I feel for you younger kids having grown up on social media. I'm in my mid twenties and phone apps didn't really kick off until later in my childhood. People think it's odd that I don't use it but I don't really care anymore about their opinion now. I really think social media is the dumbest thing ever. I hope it dies eventually. Edit: The only app I really use is reddit for FDS, if you even want to call reddit social media lol I don't count it because it's anonymous though we are technically so…

I used to be shocked by the audacity that men would say something under their breath. "Did they just make a sound of some sort under their breath?," I would ask myself. I used to try to convince myself they hadn't said anything and I was just imagining things.1

Exactly! Sometimes we are forced to make the best out of a bad situation because we still derive more benefit from it than the alternative such as moving out and taking more loans. Good luck to you! I'm working on developing my own willpower too. If we can create a peaceful space in our brain that no one can interfere with then we can be closer to freedom in a way

I always keep ear buds in my ears even if I'm not listening to music. I think it helps with this problem slightly because I look busier and not in a place to make eye contact. Only goes so far though there are the shameless ones who will stare at you anyway. Honestly as long as they don't enter my physical space (at least a dozen square feet of distance) or attempt to talk to me I've learned to just not care.

Yup next time there's some new guy in the environment I'm just gonna be quiet and only talk if he asks me a question like which way the restroom is or something lol or just say like good morning if that's the standard thing in that office environment. God I feel your pain. I've found the best thing to do is just not argue, not engage. Act like nothing bothers you. Do your chores/share of the housework. Say hello to family members if you see them sitting around/walking by. Play and act like a pleasant and content member of the household. Make small talk about non controversial topics such as the weather, how cute your cat/dog/fish is. If you they try to push your buttons, do not engage. I like your point about social media. We all know Instagram is just a cesspool of soft porn. Almost an automic LVM if he spends all his time on insta. *Edit 1: I know a lot of women especially younger will use social media to vet guys but honestly the whole idea is just messed up. It's missing the point that everything a person puts on social media is carefully curated to influence how you will perceive them. When I first discovered FDS, I had mixed feelings. I read the handbook, thought about things a bit. I revisited the sub a month later, read the handbook again. Now I embrace FDS completely. It took me some time. Sometimes the truth is hard. I've shared this sub with some close friends who didn't seem as impressed as I am with FDS. People just need to reach the truth on their own sometimes.

The best part is that you win. You really win by refraining from engaging and they hate it. Revel in that victory ✌ Edit: the mistake I see girls make is when they give in when the guy starts pleading with them to give them attention again. You have to hold strong and resist that or they'll know they can mistreat you again. Some mistakes are forgivable, others are not.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/08/20 12:36 AM

Exactly. I think it's a mistake to even display in any way that you are a "damsel in distress" in need of financing for educational pursuits and whatever. That's different than a man paying for dates. Good luck to you. I'm on the same journey. All women must strive to be financially independent.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/08/20 11:45 PM

THIS IS SO TRUE. Denial/inability to accept responsibility
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/08/20 08:51 PM

Never accept or expect an offer like that from someone you are dating. Men will just tell you what you want to hear for their own benefit. Not everyone has the privilege of being able to afford a tutor when needed, but in a way it's better to lift yourself out of that hole yourself and not rely on anyone else's promise. You will only become resentful when they don't follow through.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/08/20 06:47 PM

Don't move in with him. The same FDS rules apply. If you can't afford to live on your own then that would indicate you need to get your act together too.

Agree with this 100%. Once we let go of the need for an S.O. we are free. Like you said, it's an add-on. I also didn't want roommates. If I wanted to see people in my space I would make plans to visit friends/family lol.

It is interesting. Part of the male psychology is putting woman, the dream girl, on a pedestal, even though there is no such thing as dream girl. At least the girl will be able to enjoy this illusion until the time if it ever comes that the guy turns out to be a complete LVM
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/08/20 04:42 PM

I think it's interesting that you use the word obsessesed Indicates that the woman has some sort of power over him where he'd do anything for her. **At least that's the good kind of obsession

Would you call your brother/ male friend out on this behavior? How would you go about doing that in a way that he understands? He might not understand or care. Idk is there ever a time, for example it's your brother, you feel he should recognize how low value his behavior was. What would you say if anything?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 03:37 PM

I think someone I know is doing this to someone right now. They are both extraordinarily smart kids academically. The girl has pickme tendencies. She drives him around and was letting him live at her place until her roommate was tired of seeing the live-in boyfriend on sight. His feeling of contributoon is that he pays for food and cooks. Idk in my opinion, a HVM never just moves in to a woman's place for free. That's for bros doing each other a favor not for serious relationships.

I had a similar experience. Guy was showing signs that he liked me but never made a move. So I thought because he was shy it would be helpful if I initiated. Big mistake lol. Pretty sure his first thought was that I was DTF even though that is sooo not what I was thinking. My new response to a guy showing indications of attraction but never initiating is to ignore him.

It depends on the situation but generally if you've been trying to address an issue with a guy and he isn't taking you seriously you cut contact and they usually see at that point that you were being real. So many men don't take women seriously unfortunately and if a woman has a concern they just brush it off. I used to think ghosting/distancing/silent treatment were beyond me and that they were manipulative tactics but I don't feel that way anymore. If someone isn't listening to you it's like y…

And personally I wouldn't be flattered at all if a man plastered images of me on his social media account. That would come off as more of a red flag for me. Like what is that you're trying to say? It's kind of like he's trying to exert ownership. Almost like a form of subtle negging. Like oh your good enough for me to have a photo of you on my social media. I see this a lot on this sub that somehow a man isn't good unless he posts about you. I totally disagree. Social media is cheap.

Its nice that men like to show you off but at the same time it shouldn't be the only way of them showing their love. Some women don't want to be flaunted on social media. It's sort of a low effort way of letting the world know you think she's beautiful but what is the rest of your relationship like? Classy people don't feel the need to build up a false image.

Thanks you! I think I was just kind of shocked by the mostly male environment period. I'm definitely someone who thrives in all female environments, but I know that's not always realistic or preferable. I believe Co-ed activities should be promoted. It wasn't that the men there were necessarily toxic. The school I visited I believe was the most famous. I saw a thirteen year old girl who was a purple belt and a few others adult women on their way to class there. The guy giving me the intro at the…

I just finished reading this book and now I feel so ready to call out the men on their garbage behavior, large and small. The abusive, entitled, self serving mindset is truly what it is.

A family member that I take up BJJ. I went to one of the best schools to get a quote and a low down about starting out. I will admit I was intimidated by the mostly male setting and it scared me away. I also am very busy and don't have the most time to commit. But I absolutely see the value in it.

Height is not an indicator of whether or not someone is high value at all. I would say your misreading FDS in general if that's what you've come to think. As others said, it's just a preference. I happen to be short myself and prefer men under 6 feet.

Taarof is interesting. Anybody who is familiar with the culture will understand. But someone who doesn't might be confused by the (well meaning- good intentioned) insistence in response to a "no thank you"

In some cultures, persistence is seen as a must. For example, you have a guest at your house, offer them tea but they say no thank you. You bring them tea anyways because you are culturally obligated too. Just saying, this is a thing sometimes and women should be aware of it. I don't think I particular like that this is a part of certain cultures because it trains people to think no means yes.

How dare you expect flowers LOL. Seriously FDS would change society if more women shape up and start following it. On the flip side is men who give flowers and then expect something in return. It's not even about the flowers.

You know what sucks about this too is that men feel like they are giving something up by settling down. WTF. Honestly women should just stop giving sex too quickly. I hate saying that (being raised in the sex positive culture that I was) but I think it would force more men to invest and actually treat women better by proving themselves and building an actual relationship. Hookups are gross as hell anyways.

"If you lost 7 pounds you would be at your ideal weight" "You'll get fat if you go buy stuff at (name of bakery)" These were said to me as a teenager by male family members in their LVM moments. It doesn't have to be your boyfriend who makes you feel bad! I'm old enough to recognize these comments for what they were now, but they definitely hurt then. As a rule, the second I hear a body shaming comment by ANYONE I just ignore it.

This story is so cringey. WHY. When stuff like this happens to me I just pretend I don't notice. But I want to start carrying a basic whistle round so I can blow it as a distraction for the guy when it happens to other women lol. If I called the guy out verbally, I most likely would not be taken seriously, especially by a guy like that. However, I would consider saving that woman a few seconds of freedom from that guy's eyes on her though by making a loud obnoxious noise such as with a whistle t…

Guys seem to freak out when you ignore them. I think there are three reactions: confused, mad, sad, or a combination of those thee. Especially if you were friendly/showing interest before. Still, to make yourself clear you have to ignore them and you have to stick to it and not slip up. As I have learned from FDS, no contact really is the way. Men and women 100% communicate differently.

I agree. Mother's have an enormous role to play in displicining and setting boundaries and rules. Mom's should not simply give in and wait for respect to come. Even children with the most angelic and sweet natures will become trained to disrespect their mothers. Moms can be sweet and loving while still teaching their children to be high value.

The instance you recall of the children treating their mother poorly is likely an example of what is called parental alienation with the father essentially influencing the children to take sides with him and take part in disrespecting their mother. It is among the most disgusting of behaviors out there. And it happens more often than you think. Instances vary with the level of intensity of disrespect. I have heard in one instance that a father villainized the mother so much to the point where th…

I would like to add that some men simply will never respect women and that won't change. Stating the obvious I'm sure. But I think sometimes they will use our discomfort of their treatment of us as a way to trick us and try to get us to play their game/earn their respect/seek validation from them. The best thing I have found is just to disengage completely. Don't even acknowledge them. But I'd really like to hear what others have to say on how to deal with more flagrant and loud instances of dis…

I struggle with this too. While introverted, I have been told I have a pleasant personality and that I am pleasant to work with. Some people automaticallly assume I am a doormat because of that and are surprised when I say no to anything. If I am being honest, I enjoy being the way I am. I do value kindness, and I find it easier to "solve problems" without aggressive confrontation/pettiness that others seem to exhibit when dealing with an issue. The cold front has never been my thing either. I a…

I see that it works for online dating. It's safe. In real life, dating multiple people at once might make me worry about retaliation/jealousy from a LVM. I have a genuine fear of physical aggression, even in the open. Not sure how I should square with this. Also, to be fair, not every woman has a long line of suitors waiting to take her out friday/saturday night. **edit: I think the easiest way to let a gut know "he's not your only hope" is simply to walk away/block/delete. In the movie, Silver Linings Playbook, the character Tiffany played by Jennifer Lawrence was a pickme for sure. I used to love this movie. Saw it at least 5 times. I used to think it was such a cute story, but thinking about it now, Tiffany could have done so much better then try to get picked by a psychotic teacher (fired from his job) who convinced her to help him in his obsession of getting back with his ex-wife (who had a restraining order against him).

Not 100%. Definitely not the dating strategies. I feel they just don't apply well to woman to woman friendships. I've been trying to introduce friends to FDS to help them get control over their life. But generally, people have to come to realizations on their own.

Right here with you. Earlier in quarantine, I gave OLD a chance because I felt it was the only option. What a waste of time. Good riddance. Way better to be single than to spend a second more of my time on OLD. Let the men pursue in real life at a future time when dating is feasible again. I'll wait an eternity if I have to. For now, me myself and I is enough.

I was in the same position as you once. Don't worry it will come to an end. Trust me once you leave you won't even feel bad because the truth is that the college experience absolutely doesn't matter. People don't even keep in touch. Don't let the absence of the so-called extravagance of the college experience for a limited four year period determine your day to day emotions. You have your whole life ahead of you.

Maybe I'm being generous here, but if it moves more slowly than six months, then I would feel that the man is not interested. It probably also depends on the context. Is there any specific reason that is not in his control that the relationship is not moving more quickly? Such as the illness/loss of an immediate family member? I'm new to FDS. My feelings are that some guys (LVM & NVM?) will move slow to see how you react (e.g. to see whether you have better things to do than wait on him to offer…
