I have Uber on my phone and ready to use in case I need it, but I'm switching to Lyft now. I think we all need to do this.

Hypoagency, and it's endemic among American women now.

The ones who cry "misogynist" the loudest are ironically some of the most sexist people out there.

Needs to be shared in a more mainstream sub.

What a fucking idiot. This is completely in her mind. "Boy moms" everywhere are not permissively or blindly protecting their sons who commit DV.
/r/EverydayMisandry29/01/25 12:30 AM

If they communicated this publicly to you that's illegal gender discrimination. Imagine if they did this same thing in a school district or with nurses. The few men who apply would be heavily favored and the women would raise a major stink. No reason you shouldn't be able to as well.

It's hardly the mic drop they see it as, it's more a mark of a lack of intelligence most of the time in my opinion.

I think both should be exposed and talked about more - and I think they both stem from lack of empathy for men.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates07/01/25 04:43 PM

I guess we see differently as what's fighting or supporting another gender or group's rights. Women are always telling men to speak up more about SA, be more receptive to their perspective regarding their claims about sexual harassment... I could keep going on. That's why, when the shoe is on the other foot, and a woman says regarding men's problems "go figure it out on your own" it's extremely hypocritical.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates07/01/25 02:36 PM

Men have it constantly pounded over their head that they need to support women's equality too, that's my point here. However when women on sm express "go take care of it yourselves, it's not our problem", it's a huge hypocrisy.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates07/01/25 01:39 PM
26

There are plenty of valid, non-misogynist criticisms of modern feminism. It's too bad too many women automatically label just about all of it as misogynist as soon as they see it. One example I see all over this site: "Feminism is for and about women, if you want someone to work on men's issues then you need to do it yourselves." Anyone who says that can go fuck themselves.

The funny thing is, they only direct this vitriol to the men dating overseas. Just as many women do this (watch 30-day fiance), but it's only bad when the men do it because power, patriarchy, or something.
/r/MensRights31/12/24 09:51 PM

That makes no sense. You're certainly not living up to your username.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 09:14 PM

Your B answer shows your immaturity ironically.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 09:10 PM

That's totally an arbitrary idea you have in your head - you're conflating "teenager" with "immature" which is not close to accurate.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 08:46 PM

50 years from now we won't be able to drive until we're 28 ffs.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 08:02 PM

That's fair, I could be wrong there.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 10:15 PM

It does if you know there's a limited amount of funding and lawmaker attention, and yet with this knowledge they still push for their pet issues with the energy that they do, knowing the negative effect it will have on others.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 10:14 PM

Mathematicians aren't actively fighting to take away funding from art or music.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 10:00 PM

Men are unwilling to acknowledge what sexual assault/sexual violence actually is Men also kiss women uninvited and don't consider it assault so...idk lol. Maybe they are dumb? They acknowledge. They don’t care. They just don’t say they don’t care and feign ignorance And as soon as a women is the victim of a man they deny the existence of it or rush to come up with an excuse as to why it wasn’t assault. These were their words, not mine. They made these pronouncements without examples, without evi…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 08:23 PM

I gave you those examples. Those weren't my words, they were from that thread...
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 08:20 PM

It does when the industry actively takes away attention, time, and funds from other causes including problems that are faced by men. For example, cancer research. The vast spotlight and push for breast cancer research takes the funds away from other cancers. They know this happens but continue to push for what only they want at all costs.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 08:19 PM

Exactly, so it sounds like you're agreeing with me. They're making these broad pronouncements which are not based in reality, because they're merely based off the hateful caricatures they have of men in their heads.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 08:10 PM

Someone disagreeing with you is not hatred either lol. I don't know why you imagined that into my comment. Literally that thread is full of it, and it only took me a couple minutes. I imagine it's chock-full all over that sub. But if you genuinely want some examples from that thread: And as soon as a women is the victim of a man they deny the existence of it or rush to come up with an excuse as to why it wasn’t assault. Men also kiss women uninvited and don't consider it assault so...idk lol. Ma…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 08:03 PM

Yes, it does. These groups are full of women who support billions of dollars focused only on addressing women's issues, all the while completely ignoring issues men face. Men are disposable to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 07:47 PM

Dude, that sub is full of man-hating lol. I just pulled it up and saw "Men’s definition of ‘sexual assault’ is astounding", and the entire thread is fantasy, it's not based in reality at all of what most men really think.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 07:45 PM

https://time.com/3432838/emma-watson-feminism-men-women/ The "Heforshe" is 100% only focused on women's issues, so yes, I think there is an element of man-hating there.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 07:42 PM

Wow, nurses and teachers neither of which point necessarily to discrimination. You showed him I guess?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/24 12:13 AM

"According to my anecdotal data"...
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/24 12:02 AM

It's not just sex or relationships - many of these women are pushing for others not to buy anything owned by men, not to read a book written by a man, not to listen to music made by a man, not to hire men. They're basically calling for ghettoizing men and treating them as second-class citizens.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/24 01:07 AM
1

The women advocating for the spread of the 4B movement absolutely want to punish all men because of it. Because a few more men than women voted for him. Therefore all men are scum and deserve whatever discrimination directed their way in retaliation. In reality I think 4B is a very vocal minority, but it's every bit as sexist and pathetic as mgtow.

The women's subs brigade all they damn well please and know they'll get away with it because they're just oppressed / marginalized women. But yes, men are held to a higher standard here unfortunately and have to put up with it.

Resistance to the new policies to date has come mostly from those unwilling to see university procedures as distinct from the criminal law. Thus, critics either insist that the problem be addressed in the criminal system,7 or they insist that universities provide criminal law safeguards for those accused. But these new policies do not involve charging men on college campuses with rape. The accused are being charged with perpetrating discriminatory conduct. Even if she wants to call campus rape p…

Don't forget social media - sick. I don't know if there's a better term for that. It's seriously warping the worldview of so many of the younger posters just here on this site, boys and girls.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 03:10 PM

Seems like a non-argument, so weird when certain people get on a soapbox for something like this - there's really nothing to be gleaned from it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/24 05:06 PM
7

That's a wild take. I'm going to be totally radical here, there's no reason boys and girls can't both excel in school, there's not something inherent in one or the other that would make them better.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/24 04:50 PM
9

femaleantinatalism - best for your bp to stay out of there. It's so ironic to see that comment denying misandry, right after a comment telling women to abort boys...
/r/EverydayMisandry19/07/24 01:46 PM

Yes bro, a sweeping generalization about men includes me and my dad and family and friends, so there's nothing "fragile" in not being cool with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 04:52 PM

Reddit''s about 60% men and some subs are majority women but I get your point.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 03:55 PM

Nice level of discourse.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 02:56 PM

Per your second paragraph, I already addressed that. To say it "seems" I don't care about women's issues because I happened to make a post about men yesterday is not honest. You don't know my position, and no one is owed a litmus test from me on it in order for me to say something about men's issues. It's a common tactic what you''re doing and I hope as a mod you can see how toxic it is and unhelpful.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 01:29 PM

No, you're trying to put words into my mouth. I never said that.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 01:25 PM

Here you go. 4970 women murdered in the U.S. in 2021 - https://bjs.ojp.gov/female-murder-victims-and-victim-offender-relationship-2021 38,000 men committed suicide in the U.S. in 2021 - https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2022/12/06/fact-check-men-accounted-80-us-suicides-2021/10838683002/ To say that we should wait until all violence and SA goes away for women before we can address the second problem here... that's just telling the men that they just don't matter nearly as much. That'…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 01:23 PM

There is no "take a ticket, let's work on this first before we get to your issue". It's not a zero sum game. One cause doesn't need to take back seat. There will always be murder and SA unfortunately, so your line of reasoning here is that one should never address misandry. Not a tight thought process imo. Again, it's not just a "response" to misogyny.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 01:14 PM

That's great. I wanted to talk about politics in math class myself. I don't know where you got that I "don't like" what you wrote. I never said such a thing and that's a somewhat underhanded attempt to make me look bad. We're the only two people reading any of this by this point though.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 01:13 PM

It's not an excuse at all for the vile misandry. Myself speaking up about it does not make me " not interested in addressing the root issues". That statement of yours though is a common tactic to silence people from saying something. Such a litmus test, to demand an appropriate condemnation from me of the SA and violence stats and stories that are shared everywhere on SM, is toxic in my opinion. I know my position, and random strangers are not owed that position before I can make the points I'm …
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 01:06 PM

So completely missing my point here.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 11:52 AM

Mostem do exactly what you mentioned already. When someone reacts negatively if you say something sexist, that's not them failing to listen to you. "Men are pigs", "Men would all rape if it wasn't for the law", "Men are all entitled and treat women like objects", none of that kind of thing is merely a woman bringing attention to a problem, and it's immature for her to tell herself that.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 11:51 AM

It's not, I'll find it for you later. I don't see all the misandry we see now as merely "reacting megatively to the violence". If you see all the things I do, the violence is just a scapegoat, it's an excuse. A murder in the news, and subsequent opining on horrible allen are, is not just "reacting" to the violence.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 11:42 AM
1

It sucks that women get murdered, it also sucks that 10x more men kill themselves partly thanks to the crap woman like that push through about men in general. I'm going to have a radical idea, that maybe we shouldn't put up with either pf those bad things in society. I don't agree that decent men should just be expected to be silent and take it. Men used to be expected to be stoic like that, but that was old-fashioned and toxic.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 02:50 AM
0

So much of this in your head. 95% of the men you're lecturing about needing to stand up to weirdos are indeed already doing that! Yet you continue to type away furiously at your keyboard about how men everywhere are literally allowing weirdos on the train to beat people like you up and doing absolutely nothing. Then in the next breath calling men trash.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 02:45 AM

Well I'm still villainized. Gotta love some people.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/24 02:41 AM

I've already wasted too much time with you. I'm almost done with my bike and then I have a real life to tend to that's a little more fruitful than waking people up from their sexist delusions.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 11:28 PM
3

Most men didn't find it "awesome". I imagine you bring that phrase up a lot to paint all men as misogynistic cavemen? I'd be curious if we submitted those phrases to askaustralia if they'd agree with that assertion or if they'd point to another possible source.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 11:09 PM
2

My point is that most men including myself are not willingly turning a blind eye to this kind of thing. This is the loud message from certain circles thiugh, this site included.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 11:04 PM
2

I don't agree. You're saying that from a negative male stereotype of your own and it isn't correct in a first world country. Just those phrases you used alone, that is not how most real people talk. I've known a lot of different kinds of people, even grew up in the midwest (quelle horreur right?) and never came across someone who talked like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 10:54 PM
2

I've seen 1.5 but that's beside the point - it's not an excuse to bash 100% of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 10:45 PM
2

Well I've never heard that said, ever, but I would say something yes. Although I shouldn't need some kind of litmus test like this in order for me to express my opinion.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 10:27 PM
6

Those "posts" are incel-level rants. They're not relevant and sure as hell not accurate. But I know I won't change your mind, you've got your hate pretty well formed.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 09:45 PM
0

Okay, now you're repeating fun online buzzwords. My point still stands here, you're calling men who speak up "screechers". I guarantee if I said the same thing to women you'd be getting your panties in a twist, so my "whataboutism" was pretty relevant lol. "Rules for thee but not for me" is apropos here.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 09:04 PM
1

You called men who complain on here "screechers" lol. I said if you were a man that would ne considered sexist. You said "but I'm not". Apparently being a woman makes you think it's okay.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 08:46 PM
2

Cool, so it's okay for you to do it because you're a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 08:25 PM
1

Ah, a man who doesn't sit still and keep quiet is "screeching". You know what you'd be called if you were a man saying this about women right?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 08:19 PM
2

"They"... are you lumping all the men together on here? I'm a "they"? You don't like to treat men like individuals? I don't think you read much of my original post because you're sure not representing it very well. It surely doesn't have anything to do with men shirking accountability.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 08:04 PM
1

No, not really. I'm not saying "most women" or "all women" anywhere am I. I'm talking about the women who say this.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 08:02 PM
0

No gotchas there, sorry.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 07:45 PM
1

Well I guess there are a lot of homeless people here. You're right, maybe these tumblrinas will push a lot of reasonable people off this site.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 07:26 PM
5

My point stands. You're making negative generalizations about me merely because of my sex. It's not contingent on me to prove your bigotry wrong. It's you that's problematic here. I'll repeat it again to the kids in the back - "It's not my job to disprove your bigotry".
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 07:07 PM
2

I do not think men give a shit about misogyny. The prevalance of it is objective proof that you revel in it. That's what you said. You assume because of a person's gender that they don't "give a shit about misogyny". That's a negative stereotype and it's sexist. I crystal clearly said men can prove they're not misogynists if they do anything even slightly against misogyny. That sentence is ironic, because there's nothing crystal clear about it. Sorry just had to add that.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 07:00 PM
3

I'm not really hung up on how well they may or may not have picked, I just don't like when people make excuses for their individual bigotry, and especially when those excuses unearth even more bigoted views of theirs.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 06:58 PM
4

Yeah, assuming all men are misogynist, assuming I'm "revelling" in it because you come across it a lot and I happen to be a man, is sexist. Sorry, I'm not a dancing bear. I know I'm not a sexist, but I don't virtue signal to strangers on command to disprove bigoted views like yours.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 06:48 PM
5

My only point was that it's not okay to use "well you men need to hold other men accountable" as an excuse for the misandry I come across on the daily. Doesn't mean I'm "whining about male oppression", doesn't mean I'm trying to "minimize women's issues". But you're coming in here to rant about PPD in general. A lot of interesting people on here.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 06:32 PM
5

You're trying to hard to be snarky if you're trying to make a gotcha point that I "don't care about misogyny". That was my point. If you're making this kind of assumption about me, you're the sexist here, not me.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 06:28 PM
2

Because some men say it makes it okay for a woman to say it?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 06:27 PM
3

That's a wild take, and it's also a negative (and inaccurate) generalization. There's a word for that kind of thing...
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 06:14 PM
1

You're lucky then, maybe I should also unsubscribe to most of the subs on here.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 06:10 PM
4

I guess this is why it irks me like it does, because I'm one of those people myself. But I'm demonized by certain women who read a story about a man murdering his wife and they start villainizing men everywhere like this. "Just hold other men accountable", "when will men step up and tell other men not to do stuff like this?"... I already do that you nitwits.

So you're one of those people. I'm curious what you consider "whining about male oppression" - any man who points something negative out?

It's just criticisms of bad behavior. It's not. You're willfully misrepresenting things. That's not what I'm referring to when I say misandry. I don't think anyone is referring to mere criticisms when they call out misandry.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 05:45 PM
7

"Hold other men accountable", because clearly you're not doing that already.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 05:44 PM
3

Where did I say that?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 05:40 PM
5

Right... but it still doesn't mean I or the men I know are turning a blind eye when it's happening in our personal lives, not already speaking out against it when we see something.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 05:38 PM
2

Of course you'd try to downplay my point. It should not be controversial. Even if those misandrists are talking about other men in their personal lives... that means they are assuming these men are currently allowing this kind of thing to happen, turning a blind eye, laughing, while their buddies are raping and assaulting women every other weekend, which is just as offensive.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 05:36 PM
1

It's not just fringe subs though. It's subs like vent or aitah. More and more young women are parroting this kind of thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 05:23 PM
6

I only really care about the women in my life, and they are reasonable people. Just thought I'd share my thoughts about it since I come across it online all the freaking time. And this bleeds over into real life, and will affect more men in real life.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 05:20 PM
1

The men who are telling women to make better choices are not allowing their friends to rape or assault women in their real lives. And again, you're overestimating how many people say those things. And misinterpreting them. The few people who say that are not justifying SA in the least.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 05:19 PM
2

They already do that ffs. If you're assuming men are turning a blind eye everywhere to this kind of thing, that's your damage. That's your sexism.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 05:14 PM
6

Sure, I just need a time machine and a couple billion dollars...
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 05:06 PM
2

I didn't say anything about "women making up sexual assaults and men being weird with them". It's not my responsibility to prove to you misandry exists, let's not play that game.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 05:06 PM
2

I'm not making a conclusion, you're the one who is here. Yes, it matters to me, because that toxic mindset that I guess you also share which is nowhere based in any kind of evidence is used to justify all sorts of misandry.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 05:00 PM
2

One personal example does not lead to such a conclusion.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 04:57 PM
3

Again, the vast majority of men already do that. And the people bashing men who tell men to "hold other men accountable" are not just talking about men's inner circles.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 04:55 PM
1

I'm certainly not generalizing women as a whole, but it is very easy to find. I'm probably not allowed to list other subs on here though.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 04:54 PM
2

That's what the vast majority of men do already. But the misandrists and online lecturers are telling all men everywhere to "tell men to do better". It's another stereotype to be honest, thinking most men allow this kind of bad behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 04:53 PM
25

The thing is, I know probably several hundred men... and none of them to my knowledge have committed SA or murder. So... I'm being demonized by these women anyway because they assume that I'm somehow turning a blind eye to rampant SA / murder / catcalling / burger flipping that I'm just allowing to happen because of my "toxic masculinity"? It demonizes all men everywhere because it's a terminally online idea that has no basis in reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 04:51 PM
1

My point was that one can use stats to not allow a woman to be alone with children, just like people are doing to the OP here. And it's not excusable either way in my opinion.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 04:48 PM
2

That's exactly what I was talking about in my post. It's toxic as hell to assume men don't already do this, and then think they need to turn into some kind of morality police roaming the streets looking for violent men to correct their behavior. It's toxic, or just terminally online to have this kind of thought pattern. Or both.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 04:43 PM
2

Okay... that doesn't change my point. That doesn't lead to generalizing the 55,000 men on this sub as all thinking like that. On a somewhat unrelated note though, I'm skeptical, I'm pretty sure you're misrepresenting even those "5 guys".
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 04:34 PM

It's not an excuse for the language I put in my original post. Men are not just "rushing in defending men". You're (probably willfully) misrepresenting the misandrist content that I'm referring to, because I'm not referring to women who are merely talking about what men in their lives did. It is not my responsibility to run around and try to find other men to police their actions. The men I know personally are not like that, and it's not contingent on me to "be a good example" to try to change a…

You do know more women are implicated in CSA than men...
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 03:58 PM

Do they really? Did you run a poll or something and 100% of men gave you that answer? Or... do you see that occasionally and your genius powers of deduction led you to believe 55,000 men on here all think like that in lockstep with each other? Some kind of Borg effect science hasn't yet figured out? I really thought there'd be more level-headed people on a sub like this...
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 03:34 PM

'You guys"? You think all guys everywhere are saying that? Does your thought process really function that simply?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 03:28 PM
10

Okay, is that relevant?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 03:23 PM

Well those ones would be accurate, not OP's though. It's funny how my simple comment rubbed so many the wrong way.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/24 12:58 PM

Good point! Doesn't mean "most men on here" still isn't generalizing about the men on here. This has been a fun little lesson. I'm getting some good participation.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/24 10:28 AM

I do know reasonable ones, I really do. But there's a loud minority that don't do the best job of representing their cause.
/r/EverydayMisandry12/07/24 02:42 AM
2

Huh?... You need to talk to someone?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/24 09:26 PM

Right, so she's still generalizing men lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/24 09:25 PM
12

So it only trips their outrage sensors when the victim is the opposite gender...
/r/EverydayMisandry11/07/24 07:34 PM
22

I just don't understand how it's 10x worse for these people when the victim is a woman. 4 out of 5 murder victims are male. Yet news stories like this get 100x the outrage.
/r/EverydayMisandry11/07/24 07:18 PM

Generalizing most of the men on this sub still and still not accurate. It's odd you're getting so passionate here. It's still black and white generalizing and not constructive in my opinion.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/24 06:37 PM

Which is generalizing and not accurate. Not sure if you thought you were countering what I said here.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/24 06:21 PM

Right, still generalizing men as a group and ain't accurate.

This is the original thread she was defending: <image>
/r/EverydayMisandry08/07/24 09:50 PM

It's not "take a ticket", wait for someone else's problems first. Acknowledging one group's problems doesn't take away from another's. 99% of the posts on blatantmisogyny are not talking about the regressive abortion laws, so you can't really bring that up as a reason to focus exclusively on all the problems of one group over another.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/24 09:06 PM

I don't like the misogyny or misandry, yet every time I say something about misandry I get a certain type of person flaming me for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/24 08:51 PM

Considering you profess to be on 2x and say something like that... you're probably pretty damn sexist yourself. I took 5 minutes and found this from 2x just today. It's extremely easy to find misandry on there. <image>
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/24 08:45 PM

Right, it's stupid. I only talk about it more because it's becoming extremely common to shit on men on this site.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/24 08:39 PM

No, their misandry isn't based on "violence and abuse". Notwithstanding that most of the misandrists on certain subs are single and childless, even the ones that have had SO's, a couple personal experiences doesn't justify shitting on 3.5 billion people on the planet. The men's experiences are not "hypothetical fears" either. I just told you there are men just as well as women who have bad personal experiences... but it's not justifiable for either men or women to hate on an entire gender. You'r…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/24 08:27 PM

That wasn't clever lmfaooo. No, it's not acceptable either, from men or women. The "violence" comment is extremely misandrist, because that's probably 0.1% of the misogyny you see out there, so you can't use "violence" as an excuse to pretend your average misogyny is somehow worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/24 08:25 PM

Some of the men and some of the women have bad personal experiences. But only the women are the ones you have any interest in defending their views.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/24 08:21 PM

I'm going to go out on a limb and say neither misandry or misogyny is understandable.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/24 08:19 PM

99% of the misogynist content that has got men's subs banned wasn't violent, so that's kind of a red herring. For the most part the examples of misogyny you see on subs like blatantmisogyny (300k members) are no worse than what you'd find on everydaymisandry (3k members).
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/24 07:42 PM

"Traumatized" I think is giving her too much credit. More likely she just spends too much time online watching and reading about how bad all men are. A "femsphere" or "womanosphere" if you will.

I don't know, because allowing them on here is the only way we can really interact with them. No matter how nice or respectful your comment is in that sub, they will ban you permanently. It's weird, I've been "catcalled" myself but never decided to go online and whine about how oppressed I am. These kinds of women make it their hobby to find things to get offended about, while they're sitting in an air conditioned office at their computer, while 10 year olds in the Congo are spending 14 hours a day digging in the dirt for cobalt just to get food.
/r/EverydayMisandry03/07/24 01:25 PM

That really irritates me if that's true that some people consider any group that talks about men's issues in any fashion the "manosphere", because 100% of the time it's said derisively, like everyone on them is some loser talking about something incel or red pill related. Every article you pull up online talks about how the "manosphere" is problematic or concerning or sexist etc., so if those publications are treating any and all groups that talk about men's issues like this, lumping them altoge…

The "manosphere" nowadays seems to mostly be a big boogeyman constructed by terminally online women and gender studies "academics". It's good for certain types of people to always have a scapegoat that can be the "big bad" that they can use to excuse their toxic behavior towards men and boys. Huge chips on their shoulder from all the "evil men' scaremongering on SM - so it makes them feel a little better when they punish men. There are already people doing that, about 15x as many as on here. I've tried a couple times to explain that to you already. Pointing iut misandry by people including yourself is severely underserved on this site. This is a perfect time to point out your misandry. Give me a few minutes.
/r/EverydayMisandry02/07/24 09:34 PM
3

Okay you're just a troll aren't you. I'm not going to play oppression olympics about whatever sub is bigger. You still haven't provided any evidence that anyone on this sub is okay with that sub. Yet that's your #1 argument. None of that matters... because the fact is... that you yourself are a sexist bigot. So you have no leg to stand on.
/r/EverydayMisandry02/07/24 09:29 PM
5

You're on crack by this point. That sub does not merely "point out misogyny" and you know it. I could probably find vile sexist things you yourself said on it... And the people on this sub, are not the ones on the subs you're complaining about. We're not the same people, and it's sexist to lump all of us together like that.
/r/EverydayMisandry02/07/24 09:27 PM
3

That's not the point, that's silly. Blatantmisogyny has 300k people already doing that. This sub is for misandry, there's only a couple thousand. Yet you're offended when such a small minority deigns to point out the misandry that's also on here. Do you think any of us go onto blatantmisogyny and whine about them not talking about subs like yours? No... 😆
/r/EverydayMisandry02/07/24 09:24 PM
3

You've been on here for hours, more than enough time to take 5 minutes to read a couple studies.
/r/EverydayMisandry02/07/24 09:22 PM
3

You have some issues for sure... You're misrepresenting your own hate sub - there are far worse things allowed on there and we all know it. Again, I looked super hard and couldn't find anywhere on here where someone is saying womenarethings is totally fine. This is why I think you're just a troll with nothing better to do than try to get a rise out of people.
/r/EverydayMisandry02/07/24 09:21 PM
7

You're kidding right? I'm just pointing out your own misandry to you, and how ironic it is since you purport to be against all of the sexism on here... Your sub does not just "point out misogyny". It's a hate sub. If you've somehow convinced yourself otherwise then I have to second guess if I'm talking to a real person or a troll here.
/r/EverydayMisandry02/07/24 09:17 PM
3

You're kind of your own parody at this point. You claim to not have "unlimited free time" to read those studies, yet you've been arguing with people on here all day ..
/r/EverydayMisandry02/07/24 09:15 PM
2

Well you gotta read her totally level-headed substack article, that some evil misogynist man dared to criticize. Poor thing is just getting abused by evil men left and right.
/r/EverydayMisandry02/07/24 09:09 PM
5

I looked, I really did... but I'm not finding anyone saying they"re "perfectly ok" with it. Must be my male privilege blinding me to things again. And... there's a slight difference between a kink sub and one like yours where you mean everything you say about men.
/r/EverydayMisandry02/07/24 09:05 PM
6

Yikes, you got a lot of hate to share. I assure you there's already plenty of people expressing outrage over subs like womenarethings, but not nearly enough over misandrist subs like femalepessimist. Yet you're triggered when someone points out the vile sexism on subs you participate in. That's very telling. There is no singular "article" being referenced above either... everyone was talking about female pessimist... are you sure you're okay?
/r/EverydayMisandry02/07/24 09:02 PM
9

There is no "commenting there benevolently" as a man. They hate you just for existing.
/r/EverydayMisandry02/07/24 04:42 PM

But... you're not exposing "mens violent misogyny"... You're just attacking all men, denigrating them all together as a collective.

Yeah the mod there really shit the bed. Their stickied post at the top is horrible, and it seems like most of the commenters are criticizing the comic but then the mod is deleting and banning everybody? This is a perfect example of some of the out of control mods on here that are only getting worse. This seems like a particularly egregious example where the higher mods could actually step in somewhat.

I've come to notice most people on this site are fairly reasonable, but a small minority can be very loud. I imagine you've probably removed a few misogynist comments here and there, but I really don't see much of it on here, or calls for brigading. You do what you feel you need to, but I think it's overkill.
/r/EverydayMisandry15/06/24 08:23 PM

It's funny that subs 20 times the size of this don't give a shit about any of this and know they'll get away with it - no requirements for np links, no auto-mod "don't brigade" messages, blatant sexism, hell even when I notice them actually brigading and report it to the site, nothing is done. I have a pretty good idea why this is the case though and probably don't need to say it explicitly. start saying "that behaviour is unacceptable and it shouldn't represent us, I won't tolerate that from the men in my life and I'm going to call it out when I see it." ... ... That's the biggest thing that pisses me the hell off. This is already something myself and every single man I know does. We aren't somehow sitting idly by while men are raping or assaulting women left and right. Pierson went on the face felony charges and spent exactly 31 days behind bars before charges were dropped last Friday and he walked free, the DA said, noting that neither surveillance footage nor Urumova's iPhone corroborated her claims. /r/MensRights05/05/24 07:43 PM

No, we can't "infer" anything from that about men vs. women, that's not how statistics work. I read that article and that "study" was horrible. "Did not actively consider consent" is one pink-haired gender studies completely subjective opinion. FFS I'm not denying that it could be a possibility. How closely are you reading what I read? I'm saying I don't know anyone personally who's done it. I'm not saying it's not a possibility. My point is that there isn't rampant SA that is happening out in the open that millions of men are just allowing to happen and not saying anything about. Men everywhere are not turning a blind eye to SA perpetrated by friends and neighbors.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 03:52 PM

Nowhere in your response did I see a justification for the misandry I'm mentioning. Nowhere does that provide an excuse for the two examples I gave in my post. Nowhere did I try to minimize the other problems you're mentioning. I'm not going to play oppression olympics because that wasn't my point, if you'd actually taken the time to read it.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 03:48 PM

It doesn't show that men everywhere are turning a blind eye to bad behavior. Most men aren't okay with it and indeed say something about it when they see it. It would be interesting if they'd asked women this same question in the study but that's besides the point.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 03:43 PM

You're not really countering what I said. I am not turning a blind eye or excusing anything. If you think most men do this then you've got problems I can't help with.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 03:41 PM

Huh?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 03:40 PM

I'm starting to realize that.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 03:39 PM

I am. Statistics do not support your claim unless you are a virtual hermit and have few to zero friends. No, I have never known someone personally who's done that. And you're completely misusing whatever "statistics" you're referencing. I'm really curious how you're coming to that conclusion. No man I've known personally has argued against punishing rapists or tried to excuse or downplay it.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 03:38 PM

It's not portraying all men as predators, it's evaluating the risk as higher. If you assume the bear has 5% risk to attack versus a 10% risk of facing a rapist then you might consider the former over the latter. That's not saying all men are rapist. If you wouldnt rape then dont feel targeted. Again, misrepresenting my point. "It's not portraying all men as predators" treats all the bear answers as a monolith. I can give you more examples of the sexist shit that is coming out. I am not talking a…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 03:36 PM

You're using a study to cast doubt on my not knowing anyone personally who've SA'd? Using it to conclude that I'm knowingly turning a blind eye to sexual abusers?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 03:34 PM

If you'd read the post, I'm not talking about the commenters who are only talking about safety - I'm talking about the large proportion who are using it as an excuse to generalize all men as violent and rapey. That's why I gave examples.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 03:32 PM

Women know that isn’t true. Even you know they isn’t true. Are you saying I'm lying? I'm talking about every single man I've known personally. Kids are reading men’s dismissal of women’s concerns, kids are reading men shutting down the dialogue with denial, and kids are aware of the thousands of untested rape kits and the slaps on the hand given to convicted rapists. I don't know if you think I'm denying that kind of messaging also is out there, but I'm not sure how relevant it is or if you thin…

I can only imagine they may have been pretty sexist and that you're probably misrepresenting them. I don't know why you're bringing up those other examples, but I highly doubt those kinds of comments are very common. Instead of promoting "toxic masculinity", I'd call her indignantly expecting a man to give up his seat for her "toxic feminity".

And. .. literally no woman is sincerely worried for her safety at the vast majority of what they consider misogynist speech. Bad words online, rude behavior, sexual comments or jokes, etc. etc. - does not present a damn bit of danger. It would be funny if it wasn't repeated so fucking often. The same excuse is made to justify the slander groups Are We Dating the Same Guy on Facebook. They're for "women's safety", so don't you dare get offended if they want to make fun of your dick size.

Heavens, it's almost like other people have pressure from society too. 🤠
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/24 11:19 PM

Vindictive women have indeed done this. That book is full of real examples.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/24 12:33 AM

Well you kind of disregarded my point You're advocating firing someone for those examples, as subjective (look up the definition) as they can be, countless examples of "he said she said", the only evidence being the woman claimed she heard someone say something. It sounds like you're one of those wonderful folks who believe everything and assume guilt until proven otherwise. https://www.amazon.com/Guilt-Accusation-Challenge-Proving-Innocence/dp/1510757538
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/24 12:12 AM

That's a horrible example. If you look up actual sexual harassment cases they're full of "inappropriate jokes" and "loaded remarks". This kind of thing is ripe for subjective abuse Yet you're fine with a man losing his job over it.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/24 11:47 PM

The U.K. from my understanding already uses different terminology for male victims, and it's used to mete out unequal punishment. I don't see how it would be any different here. It's not hard to make a definition of rape that would be inclusive so that it's all treated equally.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/24 11:38 PM

Do you have a link to that study? I wonder if they include lewd jokes, snide remarks, whistling, things like that. I mean those were considered sexual harassment from what I remember, which makes it disturbing you're calling it all "disgusting crimes". I suppose you want to start locking up or fining people who do the above.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/24 11:25 PM

This is silly. A man working out in the background on a gym girl's video is not harassing or assaulting her. But this kind of shit is everywhere online.

Men are more likely to leave women dying of a terminal disease. 4 in 5 men still stick by their wives when they have a terminal disease, yet 100% of the women who post this stat are using it to shame all men.

Completely bad faith argument. You can go in there and find one in 2 minutes. But you're not going to because you like to play pretend.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/24 12:36 PM

Does it matter who is more likely? My point, and the only thing relevant here (per your specious comment that men are not "generally in danger of being harned by women") is that it happens to men and women both, it's a risk for both. But you're apparently only interested in poking holes. We don't need to take out a yardstick and measure things.

https://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/intimatepartnerviolence/fastfact.html 41% of women, 26% of men. Men being "generally" not in danger of being physically harmed by women, I think that's just disengenuous. It happens to men as well. That's the only data we need here. Your last two paragraphs, no one is talking about tackling a kid in response to being pelted with a rock. Not even close. A commenter on this thread, just for example, went to the ER after being hit multiple times. It would have…

/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/24 05:52 AM

Total misrepresentation there. Like any community, it is not a monolith that you can attempt to discredit as a whole. Such a wide variety of opinions over there. Many are very reasonable, some not so much.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/24 05:45 AM
40

Exactly, it's simple, it's yet another double standard. The women are excusing their own sexual comments while they wouldn't accept the same thing from a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/24 04:12 PM
16

There are subs that exist solely to get these kinds of groups and subs banned, regardless of if misogyny is truly a problem on them or not. They don't care, they just devote all their time and energy to getting them shut down, and they will weaponize "misogyny" against all of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/24 08:28 PM

This is constantly pulled out by chronically online women, like they're trying to prove a grade school point that "women are better than men" or something. Immature to say the least, but it's good to know that it's bunk.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/24 01:45 PM
11

You have an axe to grind here clearly. Seems you've got your mind made up about a lot of things you've read online and you're looking to justify this with some gotcha questions. Hard evidence showing men are much more likely to swipe right, showing on average their minimum standards are lower. Your personal experience doesn't prove anything otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/24 10:41 PM

You're terminally online and need to touch some grass yourself, that's all I have to say.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/24 02:08 PM

There are FB groups where you can warn other men about this.

I'll give you a 5 out of 10 for the effort and you are getting some funny responses. Try more thought out "reasoning" and make it a little more subtle next time. You'll rile them up more.

That's horrible. Probably good I stay off of there.
/r/MensRights17/01/24 01:52 AM

You've never been a man, and haven't experienced sexism from women, so you're making an assumption based off gender. Which ironically is sexist of you.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/24 11:31 PM

They do.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/24 10:48 PM

According to that thread, you can denigrate men as a gender however you want, and it's just "observing" bad behavior, and women are just "speaking up" and empowering themselves. This shit is all over this site.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/24 10:39 PM

A lot of what I'm talking about is sexism online. No, sexism online from males vs. women is not a difference of violence or safety. That doesn't mean a cynical woman can bash men all she wants online. You may consider them to be a threat just to themselves, but the fact is that they get into flame wars with men on here and use some vitriolic language, and there's not an excuse for that. It still doesn't give women carte blanche to say whatever they want unchecked. Because some men are more viole…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/24 07:36 PM

Right, there are men who might minimize what men do. There are also women who do this. I guess this again is just going towards the thesis that people are individuals and it's hard to generalize.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/24 07:19 PM

I appreciate the nuance, and I know you said it was only an observation, but the reasoning behind why women and men say they hate the other gender in my experience has been much more varied. I've seen a lot of men with legitimate gripes, and women who are upset because of things they'd read online. So it's the "tend to" I guess that I disagree with.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/24 07:12 PM

I don't agree with that, it's a generalization. Much more nuance than that. There are women who say "all men are terrible" because they've read SA and husband stories shared on their forums. And there are men who say "all women are terrible" who've been abused by female family members or had their reputation slandered by bitter exes. Just for example. I think your viewpoint may be shared by a lot of women online however, because those are both stereotypes spread by people.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/24 06:56 PM

True - the rant sub must be full of women who think like this.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/24 06:47 PM

I guess I don't understand - women listen less to men because they're more aware of what? Sexism that men face? A lot of women I've talked to on this site deny that it can even exist and chide the person saying it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/24 06:46 PM

So in a nutshell, you're saying women say those things because there's more truth to their experience than when men say those things. Generalization and disregarding the nuance of individual experiences.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/24 06:36 PM

Yeah sorry to hear that. It must be especially offensive to you to come across this sort of thing.

Well I'm not agreeing with taking acreenshots from dating apps and reposting in either place. Which I guess we disagree on. And of course the comments aren't alright. But with all that, there seem to be some differences. Names are allowed on awdtsg and often their PII is posted so they can be identified, but this sub is disallowing that. Also, awdtsg contains often false allegations like my examples earlier, and this sub isn't doing that. Still, both the fb group and this sub are pretty damn shi…

That doesn't make it alright because someone else already broke the TOS, so now you're "just" resharing it. You're still resharing it. It took me a minute to find this. You mean this? This is the only one that pulled up and it's yet another women's group to bash on men: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2245023490/members/ Real or not though (and if they are I doubt they're close to the same size) it's not okay either way. "Other people are doing it too" has never been an effective ethical argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 08:57 PM
1

You do know you're breaking their terms of service by doing this? Not to mention it's a pretty gross invasion of privacy: https://policies.tinder.com/terms/us/en/ Maybe someone should find your dating profile and share it publicly with others.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 08:47 PM
2

You're making a big assumption that most of it is true. There are lots of screenshots of how they're abused. Anonymous posts and comments without accountability are always going to have this happen. I don't think you'd be too happy if anonymous men posted your pic for thousands of people to look at and joke about std's, weird habits, private information, boob size, I could keep going. Even if some of it is true it's an enormous invasion of privacy, it's evil.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 08:32 PM

Some women hate all men (I'm talking to one now), some men hate all women. Most women don't hate all men. Most men don't hate all women It's not that fucking hard to understand, seriously, but some people are seriously not very good at critical or nuanced thinking.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/24 07:21 AM

Not really. That's a cheap scapegoat. Everyone I've ever talked to say sex is so much better without all the hair. Same with smooth legs/body. Nothing "pedophilic" about it, someone's gotta be living in their own special pretend world to believe something that wacky.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/24 06:41 AM

Calling a preference for shaved legs a "pedophilic" beauty standard has got to be absolutely the most laughable, preposterous thing I've read or heard in several months! You do know a huge contingent of both men and women are now shaving their pubic hair right? I guess you think we're all developing "pedophilic" beauty standards? 🤣 Folks we're all turnin into pedophiles.

Is there still a bestof sub? I forgot about but this comment just made me think of it again.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/24 04:26 AM

Well there are online communities (mensrights) but guys are too often chastised or cross-banned just for having the audacity to post in them, because a few of the members may have used harsh language in the past, so they must all be like that there. And any man with a grievance regarding misandry, legitimate or not, is automatically branded an incel/red pill/mra misogynist loser by these same toxic women, so most men just decide to stay silent to avoid this new scarlet letter du jour.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/24 04:18 AM

My point was "pretty damn close" is a pretty extreme generalization, and someone who is able to see the nuance a little more from one person to another might disagree with that, and certainly wouldn't be a "pick me" for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/24 09:24 PM

Well we'll soon see lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/24 08:55 PM

Sure! Because you declared it to be right?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/24 08:49 PM

I think that's true of a lot of men and women, they're more likely to be more comfortable with the same sex. I disagree with calling that disrespect.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/24 08:42 PM

Dude, putting a star in there doesn't make it okay.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/24 08:28 PM

You know, it just might be possible for someone to have a more nuanced view than yours without being a "pick me". Maybe my estrogen is just out of whack this time of month though.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/24 08:22 PM

I don't understand - misandry literally means hatred and denigration of men so I'm not following you. I'm curious about this Phd you're mentioning, I suspect you're misunderstanding something. Are you saying you want to see evidence on here of the misandry? That's easy. It will take just a minute or two.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/24 01:59 PM

Who are you referencing? I was talking about running into misandry in general, whole threads of women denigrating everyone with a penis.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/24 05:22 AM

That's getting too much into the weeds imo. A women who is denigrating men based off her hatred of men is a misandrist a supermajority of the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/24 04:57 AM

We're not allowed to link to comments, but just a couple examples: trollsx, womendatingoverforty, and fds. Sexism is rife on here, misogyny and misandry both.

"sneak diss with a thinly veiled accusation" - that's pretty bizarre, you're completely misrepresenting my intentions, the phrase tilting at windmills comes to mind! The pretend outrage is coming from you sweetheart. You attacked me here, don't try to gaslight things. I have also known sex workers, and what I've heard is that yes some clients have no respect, and some do, so there's a little more nuance to it than the picture you're making. So your anecdotal experience does not mean a thing abou…

Huh? I asked if you knew men who visited sex workers, since you claimed they all hate and have zero respect for them. That's the experience I was asking for lol. You claimed to somehow be an expert about all of these men, and I was curious where this position of intellectual authority came from. Of course you're attacking what you assume to be my gender - like I said it's clear you have a huge chip on your shoulder about men in general just from your rancid replies to me. Let's just call that wh…

Wow, that was pretty vile, do you normally attack people like this online? I don't really see men having "regular meltdowns" here - again you're free to prove me wrong. Or is it possible you have a bit of a chip on your shoulder? Still, it was a genuine and valid question. You were stereotyping all men who engage with sex workers as not having a basic degree of respect for them. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

But the statistics go deeper than that: Not only does the mother get custody of the children more often, the parents agree in more than half the cases (51%) that the mother should have custody While parents often agree that the mother should receive primary cust…

This is all over the women's subs. A woman cheats or leaves, well of course it's because she was emotionally neglected. A man does it, he's a scumbag. Followed by diatribes against men in general. And then they say the misogyny is the only problem. Those people are the scumbags.

Womendatingoverforty is a great example of this. Someone said an unironic comment that it's "natural" to despise your oppressors in a patriarchy (lol), basically saying it's okay for them to hate men. I told her that ludicrous, and I got banned! :) It's a shitshow in there.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 01:16 PM

That's sad. You're describing anecdotal evidence, which doesn't mean a thing. Posts in subs. If you think you can make vast conclusions about society from an insular, specific forum then you have no business attempting to try to engage in any kind of reasonable discourse with others. I suspect I'm wasting my time trying to use logic with you. That's my biggest issue on this site. You can't explain algebra to a hamster! 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 04:11 AM

Studies are welcome for whatever you're claiming. But you won't find them 😀
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 04:00 AM

I don't think there's a massive epidemic out there of men "ceasing" basic functions when a woman moves in. Actually thinking about it more that's ridiculously sexist. But I guess you get a pass.
