You know how most women have been approached and propositioned more than pretty much any guy? Well they also have had experiences where a guy has treated them as a friend and become close with them, until the moment she rejects him sexually or romantically, and he either ghosts her or acts hostile toward her afterwards. I guess one thing I didn't mention was demographics. We were a late 20's college educated couple living together in a suburban neighborhood. I certainly wasn't a fighter. I haven't seen too many people reference religion, and in my area I'd guess that it's the primary reason. The Catholic Church condones circumcision and most people in my area are Catholic. there are medical benefits such as lower rates of STD transmission and easier to clean bacteria. There are so many conflicting studies on this that it doesn't appear to be beneficial either way. Don't you see that you're not furthering any discussion? You're just compartmentalizing a philosophy into meaningless groups like "traditional feminism" versus "crazy American lesbian feminism". This is what I mean by no substance. Fight against injustices, debate ideas, but don't make sweeping generalizations about the opposing side. That only serves to discredit the movement.

Idiotic words. It's a sweeping overgeneralization with no substance whatsoever. It's terribly offensive to say that the entire international feminist movement is control by crazy, hysterical American lesbians, and then tout this as "wise words". This stuff has no place here.

My biological father wanted nothing to do with me once he found out my mom was pregnant. My mom raised me herself WITHOUT ONE CENT of child support. She was poor, had little family in the US, and her English wasn't great. But she eventually married someone else, moved to a better neighborhood, and now I'm a Chemical Engineer. I have the greatest respect for my mom and her determination to take care of me without his help, and I think she is a better example for gender equality than most feminist…

I don't feel like this is a slight towards men. I think it's simply supply and demand economics. It's actually banned in my state on the grounds of gender discrimination, but I don't know one guy who thought that ladies' night was a bad idea.

I'm with you. It's hyperbole, and shouldn't really be on the front page of /r/MensRights because it lacks content. It's the equivalent of "Feminists are crazy man-hating lesbians, amirite guys?!"

While what she's saying is sound, I don't like getting behind hyperbole like this. Wouldn't it be better to just tear down the arguments we disagree with, rather than accuse feminists of being crazy, man-hating lesbians?

The USA in the mid 90's. I also worked at a leadership camp that took a field trip to the Holocaust museum. I worked 12 sessions of that camp, and could only really go through the exhibit 3 times. It's too powerful an experience, even if you know what's coming.

Students could opt into a class that was twice a week for the whole year in which the main focus was the holocaust. This was in addition to the fact that the holocaust was the main focus for the first half of the year in Reading class, which everyone had to take 5 days a week. Then, we studied WWII in the second half of social studies which was also 5 days a week for everyone.
