I think part of it is that people assume that Frat/finance bros are usually conservative.

Do you have any desire at all, to have kids and start a family? If you don't...then yeah, might just be better for you to stay single. You kind of remind me of my friend, but he wants to have kids soon. Which is the sole reason why he wants to get a girlfriend and get married.

21 year old guys are competing with other 21 year old guys and older men, for 21 year old girls. They're usually not trying to date older woman. But 30 year old guys can date women their age, and women younger. The number of options is simply greater, the older you get, assuming that women won't date a guy younger than them. I'll also say that I was broke in my early 20's, and didn't have a car and couldn't afford hobbies. Then after I graduated college and got my first job, all of those seemed …

This is a modern phenomena, driven by the excessive rise in cost of living.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 03:55 AM
1

It could be due to location or other factors, but I think I have more opportunities now as a guy at 30, then I did from the ages of 18-25.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 10:38 PM

Yup, location is one of the biggest factors in dating.

"Hoeflation" is just one of the side effects of rampant capitalism. The rising cost of living, dating apps, and social media have resulted in women having higher standards than ever. Not all of the blame can be put on them.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/26 02:37 AM

Because it's not politically correct to do so.

I think if you're on the spectrum, but you're really, really good looking, you can kind of compensate for it and still get casual sex, if you're able to mask your behavior to some extent. Otherwise, you're at a massive disadvantage. The reason they lose out on casual sex, is because of the lack of social etiquette.

You'd have to change how young people, or more specifically, young women in general think. And I'm not sure if that can be done.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 11:25 PM

Right...unfortunately, I don't think the demand for sex work will ever go away. As long as there are guys with money who struggle to get laid, and as long as women are picky with who they have sex with, there will be a demand for it. I don't think that women should be forced to have sex with guys that they're not attracted to, or forced to have sex when they're not aroused.

Yes, but they believe that women and society in general doesn't see them as people.

The true Red Pill is accepting that dating is similar to capitalism, but actively trying to become a "high value man", or the equivalent of a rich person in the dating world. It's not necessarily rooted in being a staunch believer in capitalism, it's apolitical.

Okay, so for the sake of argument, let's assume that oral sex, mutual masturbation, and playing with sex toys counts as sex in the context of #4.

The easiest way to get into relationship is to have high SMV, regardless of whether or not you're a "good person". But if you're a good person, that relationship is more likely to be successful. Telling someone with low SMV, who might actually be a good person, that they're not a good person because they struggle with dating is just gaslighting.

I never even said that. Yes, a lot of male celebrities, athletes, and CEOs would still be successful with women, even if they weren't rich. But Elon is *not* one of those people. He is a 53 year old out of shape man who claims to be on the spectrum. I would guarantee you that all of those women he has been seen with would not give him the time of day if he wasn't rich and famous.

Things were a little different when the founding fathers wrote the Constitution. Brothels and prostitutes were very common and some people viewed women as property. And women didn't have the right to vote or own property.

Because on dating apps, girls tend to be very picky, sometimes pickier than they are in real life. Your chances of meeting them in person aren't that high. Even if you match with them, it doesn't guarantee a date. In real life, you're potentially a little bit closer to securing a date.

There are high-end escorts who willingly choose that trade. Obviously, that's not the majority, but my point is that some people choose it.

Prostitution should be legal in America (outside of Nevada). If it's been 2 consenting adults, I don't see anything wrong with it. Not all prostitution is related to human trafficking, which the government should crack down on. You can argue about whether or not it's immoral, but my stance on this is similar to abortion, the government shouldn't be able to tell women what they can do with their bodies. I would advance my career, spend time with my family and friends, travel the world, and enjoy my hobbies. So nothing too different, except for not having kids. But even if I did end up getting married eventually, maybe I wouldn't have had kids anyway.

No, it's better if they're in a relationship.

How dare you disrespect Johnny Sins like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/23 11:19 PM

Nope, women just have high standards due to more options.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/23 01:48 AM

Short answer: Yes Long answer: This depends on your viewpoint. I don't think any girls are out here giving signals to guys that they're not attracted to. But on the flip side, the guys in question might not be considered that attractive by a random girl on the street.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 07:45 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 02:13 PM

Most guys would prefer a real woman over porn, if given the option. But most guys do not have instantaneous access to sex. The ones that do are either rich, attractive, or both. And they're probably not using porn as much as the average person, because they don't have to.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 12:50 AM

You would need to have all guys do this, and not just a few. That's going to be hard.

/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/23 04:01 AM

A lot of them don't, that's why some girls will ask you to use a condom or buy birth control. My friend has bought birth control for a lot of girls because he wanted to raw dog it and not pull out.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 08:29 PM

Nope, that's not why.

You can't blame it all on capitalism, but yes, it is partly to blame. Let's say that hypothetically, the U.S. was a socialist society. Do you think that looks wouldn't still play a huge factor in dating?

That's a horrible idea. Boys who are more academically inclined will see no benefit from this.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/23 03:02 PM

I think that most guys would prefer that to nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/23 03:01 PM

I think that it's a combination of dating apps, social media, porn, feminism, and women themselves having high standards which discourages guys from doing that stuff. There's not much reward for the risk anymore.

Nope, but they are willing to settle out of fear of dying alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/22 02:14 AM

Sure, but doing that is equivalent to having a diet that consists only of junk food, and claiming that your basic need for food has been met. It won't kill you (or at least, not right away, in the case of junk food), but it's definitely not ideal. And consuming "junk food" is still better than starving to death, in the same way that paying for sex is better than masturbation.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/22 06:16 AM
1

Well, I'm very picky with whom I decide to date, so I would hope that's not the case...lol. On a side note, did you just want to do those things alone? Or did you not have anyone to do them with? Even if you're single, you could probably just do those things with friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/22 06:00 AM
1

I'd say yeah, because a lot of these girls still want a guy who outearns them, even if the guy is attractive. Especially if they want to start a family or go on expensive vacations. And I'd argue that if you have a lot of money (millionaires, billionaires), you can bypass the looks barrier, but you might be end up with a gold digger. As a personal anecdote, I'm a 26 year old guy, who does makes 6 figures, albeit at the lower end, and I do agree with what you're saying about the looks threshold. …
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/22 05:45 AM
1

So, I think that they still matter, just not as much as looks do. Looks matter more now than they did before online dating and social media became popular. But a lot of girls out there still want to date a guy who makes more than them. If anything, guys need both money and looks now to do really well, although there might be exceptions.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/22 05:10 AM

I don't think so. I don't think that there will be a lack of women per say, but a lack of women who are willing to date their male counterparts. And maybe that will cause a decrease in the birth rate in developed countries. But it probably won't cause society to collapse.

Even if race was a social construct, way too many people believe it to be real, including racists. It does matter somewhat in dating and other aspects of life. Plus, it's not like anyone can identify as any race that they want. If it was truly a "social construct", being transracial would be a common thing. (Ex: A black person identifying as white.)
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 06:23 PM

It's always been sort of transactional, plus it's hard for guys who are average or below average to get laid. So they are willing to pay for it.

There's already a few women like that. Of course definitely not the majority, but they're out there. And that is good for guys who just want to hook up, but don't want a relationship with those women.

Elon is rich and famous, which gives him high SMV by default, and compensates for his other shortcomings. If he was some average Joe though, and this happened, I would probably be scratching my head then.

I would argue that there is at least some logic involved. A model isn't going to randomly fuck a homeless person. But she will hook up with an attractive guy at a bar, because she's attracted to him and is in the mood because she's drunk and he might be too.

It really depends on your values, what your SMV is, and what your standards are. Generally, larger cities with even gender ratios improve your odds, unless you have below average SMV.

I would prefer a relationship, assuming that the woman has all the traits that I'm looking for. Provided that she is attractive and we have sex regularly, I don't see why I'd want to hook up with other girls.

Currently? Or ever? I would say currently, zero, since I don't really leave my apartment much (it's really hot out here) besides for work (I don't think consider dating at work at option for me) and groceries and I haven't met anyone I like from dating apps. If you're attractive (and of above average height) and a guy, or are at least above average and are a girl, then yes, it's worth trying them out. For everyone else though, yes, it's really that bad. Also if you're a guy who's not white and you live in a predominantly white/conservative area, good luck getting matches.

What is considered "quality" sex for a man? I'm assuming that it's more than just him having an orgasm. The woman could just lay there like a starfish, and he could still have an orgasm. But I would say yes, women do have access to more "quality" sex than men, simply because an abundance of options implies that they have at least a few "good" options. Maybe not all women, but that should be true for most of the above average and the attractive ones.

Process Engineer, but there's actually a decent number of women here, some are my age. I wouldn't consider dating any of them just because of the company culture and how messy it would be if we broke up. I would say a lot of people here have some sort of relationship or family. Personally, I don't have a lot of freetime outside of work to pursue the hobbies that I enjoy, so I don't meet a lot of women outside of work.

It won't mean that much, condoms and birth control still exist. And also, abortion will still be legal in some states. And even in the states where it's illegal, you'll probably have people who will still try to find someway to get one anyways, like go to a state where it is legal.

It's a waste of time for most people, besides the guys who get hundreds of matches and are just trying to hook up. If you're not one of those guys, you're better off just meeting girls in person. And girls who are looking for a relationship are much better off just meeting guys in real life.

I kind of get what OP is saying here, but he's talking about 2 separate, distinct situations. There are certain girls who are interested in certain (attractive) guys, but those girls don't show a lot of interest and want the guy (who they assume, likes them) to pursue them, maybe pursue them aggressively and the guy may or may not already be pursuing the girl, but this is a minority of all situations where a guy or girl is pursuing someone of the opposite gender. Most situations are where a cert…

Sugar dating was just the most obvious example. There are much more mild/common examples out there, like a guy taking a girl off of Tinder out on a date, and the girl just intends to use him for free food and then after the date they just go home and she ghosts him afterwards.

Because most young, attractive guys are going to go after young, attractive girls. They don't necessarily care about money. And older women with money don't necessarily have to pay to sleep with younger, attractive dudes.

There is no effective solution that will work for everyone without also infringing on some people's rights. If online dating isn't working for someone, then that person needs to try meeting people in real life. Also, a lot of people of both genders need to either lower their standards, or else they're going to end up dying alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/22 06:16 PM
2

Even if you focused on dating, there's no guarantee that you'd end up being "partnered". So you could have ended up being alone, along with being in the 60th percentile of pay. It's not impossible to find someone after college. For some, it's even preferable, since some people might move halfway across the country for a new job.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/22 11:15 PM

I know of a few guys from my high school who were in frats in college and also engineering majors, and I don't think that any of them struggled with dating. I think that dating in the workplace is fine if you're in a big company and that person is in a different department than you. It used to be more commonplace, but societal norms have changed so it's now more frowned down upon and depending on a company's HR policy, may not allowed at all. I've seen it happen at work, but in all instances, none of them reported to the same manager. Where I work, I haven't seen anyone with "work spouses".

If they legalized it and removed the stigma around it, I think that it would change the dating world, in the sense that guys that are frustrated on dating apps and are just trying to get laid would utilize it. All of those couples are pretty similar in terms of looks, with a couple of exceptions. The first and last ones were the only one where I'd be surprised if you told me that they were a couple. And another thing is that this is high school, most people have lower standards in high school than they do in their 20s. The dating pool is relatively limited in comparison. There are certain websites where escorts and call girls advertise it. You can find someone in your city and state. Look at r/sexworkers

Yes, men in the U.S. still see escorts. However, since it's illegal, there are certain nuisances they must deal with. These include: catfishes, undercover cops, getting robbed by "pimps", and the cost.

Male looks have always mattered, and will continue to matter for a long time. It's all part of natural selection. They don't matter as much as incels claim, and status/money/game is important as well, but they do matter.

I'm a 24 year old guy right now, and I don't think that my dating prospects will be better in 10 years. I think that being 24 as a guy is the ideal age for dating young girls. You're still young enough to date girls in college as well as girls your own age without there being a huge difference in lifestyle or anyone judging you for being "creepy". I got a good paying job right out of college. In terms of actual dating prospects, I could have more if I had more money, but that's true at any age. …

Not really, I'd assume that it's in the range of 6-8, compared to other guys in their 20s. If you want to find out how attractive or unattractive you are, just take good photos of yourself and use a dating app and see how matches you get. Or just post pictures of yourself online and ask strangers to judge you, or brutally roast you.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/20 02:26 AM

It's both to some extent. I would argue that nowadays it's more social than biological and that in modern society, unless you play sports professionally, being tall has no actual advantage besides getting more matches on online dating apps. A girl seeking a guy taller than herself makes sense to me, that's a biological instinct. But a girl who is under 5'10" who "needs" a 6'0+ guy and refuses to date a guy who's 5'10" or 5'11"? That is social conditioning.

I have to disagree on the "changing looks is the easy part". You can change looks to a certain extent, like working out and dressing better. But what incels care about (not necessarily society cares about) are facial features and being a 10/10 Chad. Which is hard, if not impossible, for them to become without facial reconstruction surgery. What is possible though, is them changing their outlook on life, changing their view of girls, and changing their attitude. They're just not likely to do that…

I don't see many real life examples of this. But part of it is just luck, the guy found a girl who cares about looks less than the majority of the population and cares a lot about his personality. There's always exceptions to rules like "You shouldn't go out of your league." Another part of it is that attraction is not 100% objective, maybe the girl actually thinks that the guy is attractive even though other girls don't. But besides those things, any other instance of what you're describing is …

I'm a 23 year old male. I would say that I'm a 9 on the lookist scale and have very high standards, at least relative to other guys. Girls, probably not so much. For hookups, I don't really care about personality or anything besides looks as long as she doesn't have STDs and won't rob me. For relationships, I'm still picky but I won't overlook major red flags. I won't date a crazy girl or a girl who's a genuine horrible human being just because she's hot.

If I was rich, single for most of my youth, and all of the sex workers were a 10/10, I would be doing it all the time. I think that it should be legal, but if I were you, I definitely wouldn't mention it to any potential girlfriends or even regular friends because of how society views it.

The thing is that no game is fun if it's too hard and you keep losing. No game is fun if it's super easy either, it needs to be in the middle. For a lot of guys, they're playing the game of dating apps and approaching girls in real life on "hard mode". They're getting rejected by every girl that they're attracted to. There's not really much thrill in that.

Without even looking at the rest of the replies I would just say that there would be 2 main reasons: The guy wasn't attractive. The guy was too thirsty. If it's just hooking up, then looks are the most important factor. But attractive guys will still find a way to mess up.

It depends on the particular person. But being "thin" and skinny isn't that hard in comparison to being muscular and having a low body fat percentage. There are a lot of skinny and skinny fat guys out there who don't really have to workout or anything because they have a fast metabolism. This reminds of applying to jobs online vs. handing your resume to recruiters in career fairs. The people who get the job offers after applying online usually have high GPAs and multiple internships and often times hundreds or thousands of people will apply for a single position. A lot of potentially good applicants get filtered out when applying to jobs online. And in the same sense, only the most attractive guys get real success on Tinder. Something that I've always wondered is how important is game vs looks when hooking up with girls. Can a guy who's not attractive (maybe even "ugly") bed an attractive girl, or even an above average looking girl, within a few hours of meeting her, based solely on his game? Of course, I don't know how attractive the commenters on this post are, but besides a comment made by someone who used to be an escort, most of these guys who hooked up with girls were considered "hot".

They'd struggle if they went after attractive girls who weren't lower class. I'm going to assume that you work at either Facebook, Google, Apple, Amazon, or Netflix. But to me, no it doesn't matter. I actually think of that as a plus. But I think that some guys would be surprised that this girl wants to date them. Because I thought that most girls want to date someone who makes more than them. But it also brings up a different question(s). Are you willing to start a family? Will either person put their career aside to take care of the kids? Will it be you or the guy?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/19 12:01 PM

Because some girls are not comfortable doing that. They don't want to sell their bodies. Or they find it demeaning, and there's also the social stigma associated with being a sex worker. In most cases, they probably don't want their friends and family to find out.

Guys on the red pill subreddit are primarily talking about getting laid. As a girl who is above average in attractiveness, you can get casual sex pretty easily. You can't get a relationship very easily. But neither can most guys. Those guys would prefer to have casual sex with many girls, and not a relationship. It's competitive because of hypergamy. Attractive guys who are financially successful aren't that common. Let's say that makes up less than 30% of the male population. Most girls prefer that type of guy, even though that might not be realistic. Those girls make up way more than 30% of the female population. Dating in America is just different, at least a little bit, if you're not white. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either uninformed or trying to push some political agenda. Of course, if you're a minority who's attractive/tall/rich, you'll be successful regardless of your race. But a lot of people want to date only within their race, and this significantly limits the dating pool if you're a minority. And in some cases, someone might find someone of a different race attractive, but not be willing t…

Looks matter to 90% of people, regardless of what people actually say. It's just a question of how much they matter. Women definitely consider looks, but they're not the only thing. But they're still the most important thing. You must meet a minimum looks threshold first before other things like your personality are taken into consideration, just like how when you're applying to jobs straight out of college, you must meet a minimum GPA requirement. A lot of the guys who complain on the internet …

Women don't have that much to lose in marriage, usually. If the couple gets divorced, the man, who more than likely makes more, will lose half of his stuff. So in that sense, marriage is worse for men than it is for women.

Because our biology makes us do it. When you get in a relationship with someone, the expectation is that eventually, you will have sex with them. Maybe not immediately, but somewhere down the road. Not necessarily, there's so many other factors besides "poor character". A guy who's not white could have a lack of success in the SMP/RMP of a certain city but be really successful in a different one, which has nothing to do with his personality. Some guys may have "poor character ", but there are a decent number of guys with good character who are either not very attractive and/or are just very passive in their interactions with women.
