What is wrong with continually pushing for more? Nobody said how long the happiness is going to last, they only said that to get to that happiness you need to put in effort. Sure, once you get there you might become satisfied and bored, that is why you find something new and push to achieve that.

Constructivist theory. This is part of the reason I love being a Comm major. You spend four years being taught how to talk to people and essentially get what you want. It's a little blunt, I know, but it can be adapted into many walks of life from its base.

Can't agree enough with this. I had a buddy who had a chick come watch movies with him. Not only did they watch them on his laptop in his bed she also stayed until 3ish in the morning. I talked to him about it the day after, he said he didn't do anything. I tease him about that one as much as I can.

For me it's the drastic change in their personality when I find out. One second she's super nice and innocent, then the next she's fucked a bunch of guys, she obviously is a total whore and too easy. I definitely see the ridiculousness of that. But, I don't know how to get past that. I do enjoy the challenge though.

My parents both read the book and are now all kinds of lovey dovey when they are around each other, which isn't often because my mom works on the east coast, I think that only serves to make it worse. A few weeks ago I was teasing my dad about reading it and he commented on how i could learn more from that book then I could from "that bible of yours". That conversation wasn't't as light hearted anymore. It sounds to me like this book only perpetuates this unrealistic view on modern relationships…

Yes. I decided to start riding the stationary bike, actually doing it right now. I promised myself I was going to get into shape this summer and it starts now. I set up my laptop next to me also so I can read some articles Ive been meaning to read. Good stuff.

I have a terrible jealous and possessive personality, I hate it. While I actively acknowledge and try to change it, it is extremely difficult. Sadly imagining something like this just infuriates me. Wish I knew how to get past a personality like this.

I'm going to have to disagree with the get with at least 30 girls thing, assuming you're talking about sex. I'd go more with 3-10. Granted for some people 30 could take a couple months, where as for others that's more then we could get in a few years. Sex doesn't create a relationship, that's kind of the theme I was getting from you. Personally, I'd rather be good friends with my ltr gf then have the most amazing sex and can't stand her. Look for both, settle where you are personally happy.

I have to agree with your third point there. After I lost mine, which was with a fuck buddie, no strings attached kind of thing, I looked at sex as having fun. I don't really worry about it when I'm with a girl, as being a serious thing or taking things too fast. That depends on the relationship I have with that girl. Take things slow with someone you want to be serious with, and visa versa. As long as they know what's going on of course.

The only thing, I think, that makes it difficult is that you have to know the limit. Meaning if you're obviously throwing yourself at a guy that is definitely slutty, and honestly a bit of a turn off. Granted you don't want to act completely stand off ish towards guys. Everything is about balance.
