I don't really know how to best phrase it, but after observing several couples in my life as well as in the public eye, but there seems to be a direct connection between a woman having an some kind of eating disorder or disordered eating and her boyfriend/husband being heavy porn user and/or cheater. Could probably be another post. Is it just insecurity, are they trying to look more like the women her husband is cheating with/wanking to....I haven't figured it out yet.

I've only had brief conversations with her, she's a smart kid but hasn't quite worked through all the internalized misogyny and Pickmeisha-ness that's lobbed at us culturally. I'm hopeful for her since she's very young, barely 20. Also we live in a high rent area so...that's an unfortunate motivation.

In regards to the soccer-players-as-pu**ies part: I just want to say that as a life-long player and watcher of the sport, flopping is ubiquitous only in the men's game. Women who play rarely, if ever, flop. If they end up on the ground it's because they were legitimately fouled or tripped 9 times out of 10. And sometimes even if that happens, they pop right back up anyway. I'm sure this information isn't surprising at all to regular readers of FDS!

Still wouldn't recommend eharmony though. I had a paid subscription for about a year and all I got was trash, and I cast quite a wide net with my distance and preferences. A lot of men on there are extremely unattractive and also expect you to message first. Several of the men who messaged me only said "hey" or something equally asinine. Half assed profiles, men with kids/baby mamas, it's no better than any other OLD site I've used. I had one dude message me that was semi-decent but he never see…

I once read this horrifying article about Filipino men on the West Coast in the 50s maybe (details hazy now, if anyone knows what I'm talking about please add) being attacked, castrated and murdered by gangs of white men because there were so many white women who preferred to date and have sex with them because they were much more pleasant and better lovers than white men

A little bird told me there is a car insurance company that now has a 'non-binary' option for your gender, and that several straight men were now switching to this option because it got them a steep discount--because we all know who the most dangerous drivers are, and they tend to have testes and be very proud of it. So this company tried to do a nice thing for people who don't want to pick male or female, and there men go, using it for their own selfish ends.

This sub is called female dating strategy for a reason....because female is an adjective which describes the compound noun dating strategy just as it was used to describe the singular noun student in question. This is some grade-A scrotalicious derailing bullshit if you ask me, but I'm not a Mod.

It is technically low dose poison haha. I do drink, but seldomly. Glass of wine or beer here and there, maybe a margarita or other mixed drink when I go out. And even this was commented on in my college days about me 'not drinking.' I am drinking like a normal human, not binging. American drinking culture is VERY unhealthy (and I think it's the same way in the UK too).

Funny how they always think there's something wrong with us when we don't want to have sex when the very obvious reason is...them. They are why we're put off sex at one point or another; inside or outside marriage.

I remember when I was about 4 or 5 years old, I asked my mom from the backseat of the car, "Do you have to get pregnant when you get married?" I was imagining having to go about my day with a giant ball in my tummy at some point in a distant future and it just seemed like a huge hassle. She said "No," but she sounded kind of panicked like I'm about to ask about the birds and the bees this young LOL and I never followed it up because I sensed her discomfort. Around the same age, I also asked why …

I honestly think I lost a good friend from high school this way--as a result of Pickmeism and homophobia. It didn't really occur to me until we had fallen out of contact for a year or more in college, but I realized how much more sensitive she probably was to the fact that she was single (and so was I, most of the time) and started to rebuff my contact in favor of chasing men and also because she didn't want to be perceived as 'gay', and maybe she thought I was too? I always thought a good first step for regulating porn would be to mandate paywalls for any and all content, so you'd need to be at least 18+ with a credit card. That would at least prevent very young kids from viewing and getting hooked. I do like the idea of quotas for upper management, and also in (U.S. person here) Congress, for example. Of course men would absolutely LOSE IT if women were 'handed' more seats, but what's new, right?

I'm not America's Next Top Model by any means, howeverrrrr I did share a screenshot I saved a while back of Tinder notifying me (in 2017 maybe) that I had gotten over 1000 likes. I have short hair, and it's actually not a bad filter for men. Nothing's ever 100% mind you, but those that are aggressively misogynistic or very into a specific kind of femininity (i.e. what porn and other media have sold them) tend to give me a wide berth. In theory, I'm all about breaking down gender stereotypes: letting boys play with dolls and makeup, letting girls be rough and tumble. In practice, straight men use this aspect of feminism to act like the biggest pu**sies in the world. Are they a traditional man's man? Can they fix things? Bring home the bacon? Win a fight against an equal? Absolutely not. But do they at least cook and clean and schedule and be sensitive to others' needs and do everyday emotional labor? Also no. They only whine …

Morality really is not subjective though. He's probably referring to cultural and religious differences but at the end of the day if you're causing someone else suffering (forced marriage, beating your wife or kids, rape, cheating, denying someone human rights and dignity because they belong to a particular social class, etc.), it's immoral. Doesn't really matter what cockamamie rules they've come up with to justify it.

I remember a guy I dated in college being totally ripped (he was studying physical therapy or something idk) and we were hanging out in his dorm room one time and he was like, " I really should go back to the gym I haven't gone in two weeks." Me [staring at all the muscles he still clearly has]: "Are you kidding me right now?" I feel myself deteriorate if I take more than two days …

Yesterday I saw one of the mods in Dating [edit] Over 30 (I think) removed someone's comment under a post about hook up culture because "we don't use sexist terms like low value male here" lollolol. Me: "He just looks angry all the time." "Yeah but he's got like that...man face mhmm." Me, laughing: "Well I kind of like Y." Her: "Oh you like the prettier ones." And so on. I'm not sure if it's always dysphoria in the precise medical sense of the term (where you really feel like you should be the opposite sex) but just frustration with being female in the culture we have. Lifelong tomboy here. I've never thought I should be a boy or man, I'm fine with being a woman but I hate the socially imposed and arbitrary terms and conditions that came attached the moment the doctor said "it's a girl!"

I think they're just simulating what they do when they masturbate instead of trying to have sex with another human being. There's another recent post somewhere about the importance of differentiating between actual sex and "assisted masturbation" which is essentially what most men want women for. Depressing, I know. Hence the raison d'etre of FDS.

I think true sex positivity would be giving young girls the tools and information about men's behavior to vet and say no as well as yes. Is he treating you right? Do you feel safe with him? Does he have condoms? If they answer is no, they should decline to have sex. I think the issue with sex positivity, particularly as it's geared toward women, is based on the assumption that we always would want to have sex no matter what, rather than only wanting sex under specific circumstances based on our …

My comment was more of a meta thought experiment not a realistic possibility haha. I know how performative porn is--that's part of the appeal and the heavy makeup is included in that. The more pertinent question is, why and when did men start thinking all women should look like that? I don't even know if my great grandmother owned makeup. It's far from "natural" and has very little to do with indicating health or fertility. It's a product or aesthetic they've been trained to want; not one, I thi…

Most men are selfish, have the attention span of a goldfish and can't find the clit with a flashlight and a roadmap so it shouldn't be surprising most women aren't super interested in their dick. So yeah, a lot of us haven't had a "good one" because a lot of men don't actually care about being any good. The odds, as they say, are not in our favor. And we've dipped out accordingly. Plus as you said it does discount the existence of women that are legitimately asexual....as opposed to asexual by c…

I'm not quite sure it does. As we've discussed at length in this sub, women tend to be single for very different reasons than men. Meaning, when women are single it's typically due to choice--the men just aren't worth it. When men are single, they're usually single by women's choice--they were tried and found wanting. There's also some other options you touched on like trauma or self-esteem issues; but again women are much more conscious of those things and will be working on it--exactly as you …

Echoing the poster who said it's technically possible but unlikely. Changing your character, something that has been a fundamental part of who you are for years requires either a) a drastic life upheaval or trauma or b) an incredible amount of dedication, determination, and introspection. So short of some disaster that causes him to re-evaluate anything and everything about himself, it's highly unlikely a LVM will muster up the will to truly change.

That's a massive oversimplification. There IS a genetic component to weight for everyone (if you've ever taken the 23andMe test w/ health included it will tell you so) as well as lifestyle factors--are you getting enough sleep, are you stressed (both affect cortisol levels which affects how much extra weight you keep on or off), do you have time and money to buy and prepare healthier foods, do you have time to work out or pay for a gym membership, how easily do you build muscle, how fast is your…

Yup. My mom would certainly call herself a feminist too. She'd agree with most everything on this sub honestly, but I think her feminism was tempered at an early age by virtue of when she grew up--the 60s and 70s. Yes, decent divorced men are definitely the exception rather than the rule. My Dad initiated divorce with his first wife (she cheated) and didn't really date at all until he met my mom a few years later. And although he technically had 50/50 custody the kids were with him almost 100% of the time because his first wife didn't really care so he was actually a legitimate single dad for a while. I would welcome that post. I've always been low key annoyed with social media couples constantly posting about themselves (*stage whisper* though it's usually the woman posting), number one because it seems like a humble-brag and two because to me, it always rings a little insincere. I don't post gushing essays on Facebook about how wonderful they are--that's very performative and not substantive.

A lot of men wouldn't be having sex at all if they genuinely cared about consent. If I had a dollar for every time I heard or read about a coerced sexual encounter because a man wanted to get his dick wet and didn't care so much about what the woman wanted, I'd have enough money to send several hundred men to therapy to work on why they think their desires take preference over women's right to pleasure, autonomy and safety

Women can have 6 pack abs but they won't be nearly as "cut" as men's--unless they're legit body builders and have that low body fat % comparable to an average man. I think they know on some level it's supremely messed up but either they A) Are too enslaved to their depraved desires and instant gratification to want to give it up B) Hate women so part of the appeal is that we don't like it and they enjoy gaslighting us about it or C) Both A and B

I was snooping on the purple pill sub today and there was a comment underneath a post about how women should approach men versus men approaching women in dating--because of course--that said (in response to someone tagging FDS and another person saying FDS=TRP): "FDS is not the equivalent of TRP. TRP is simply awareness of modern intersexual dynamics. FDS is all about manipulation and taking advantage of men. Those are two very different things." Emphasis mine. First of all, what the ever loving…

This is what I was going to say, it essentially boils down to a lifetime of socio-cultural gaslighting. I was bang on the money with how I instinctively assessed men when I first started dating and never let myself be pressured into much (thanks self-esteem), but I let certain things slide and let relationships go on longer than they should have precisely because of all the messaging to "give things a chance" "men are dumb" etc. Nope, and they are not.

I briefly dated a guy years ago who did something like this, albeit in a more socially dignified manner. He said something like "I don't think you're really that into me or I would've made a move/tried something by now" (date 3 or 4 mind you). I can't really remember exactly what I said in response, but I think I kind of brushed it off. Then texted him later and basically said "yeah you're right I'm not that into you, best of luck bye" 😂 Pre-FDS so I'm proud. I didn't think he was hot stuff from…

This is just my personal opinion, but I think we actually become a more authentic version of ourselves when we drink enough to get drunk or tipsy. It's us, but with fewer filters and reservations that we normally have. For myself, I'm more on the introverted side on a day to day basis, especially professionally or with people I don't know particularly well. However, when I drink, I become quite talkative and friendly. In short, I'm a happy, goofy drunk. To me, that's closer to my actual characte…

It's soooo skewed and messed up how we regard women's weight. I feel like a lot of men have no idea what a normal healthy woman should weigh because per Photoshop and models/celebs starving themselves half the time we're all somehow supposed to be in between 110-120 lbs. regardless of height, body type or age. I was 110 once upon a time...when I was 12 years old. 🙄

I guess it depends on her body type, but tbh 5'9" and 175 doesn't seem like that crazy of a weight to me. But I know a lot of female athletes. Ones that would weigh what she says her pre pregnancy weight was at 5'4", 5'5. And I think they look great, honestly. They're just not uber thin/doll-like...I don't think very many people would bat much of an eye at a man being 5'9" and 175? 🧐

Yes! I have read that men who are obsessed with women being thin or small are really just projecting their own insecurities about their masculinity/dick size. They need to be more certain of their "domination" or ability to fill you I guess 🥴 (though height/weight doesn't necessarily have anything to do with vagina size/type). They're N/LVM. They want you on Snap on not on the app so they can easily message like 15 women at once and get/send nudes, and possibly hide conversations from a woman they're already in a relationship with. They will never ask you on a date, you'll be perpetually stuck in the talking phase. It's cheap validation for them and and easy way to string you along as one of their options.

I know this is obviously directed towards the U.S. presidential election, but don't forget about your local and state elections! Yes, your choices will be limited there too but there's a much better chance to get a "non-traditional" candidate or party's foot in the door if you're consistently participating locally and get others to do the same. The stakes are lower and fewer people are paying attention, so there's a lot of opportunity. That's how we had the wave of female congresswomen in the Ho…

If anything I think it's the other way around, if that makes sense. Meaning we really need to vet men to see if they're sexually compatible with us rather than us with them, and part of that involves waiting to have sex in order to see their real character and/or if they have a longer attention span than the average goldfish. Men are sexually compatible with a McChicken.

I think that's really the key issue with modern dating--men (and I suppose women sometimes too) unwilling to delay gratification, so if there's not a rapid escalation in physical contact from the outset they lose interest or assume you're not interested, rather than, you know, trying let a human relationship naturally develop.

I have a pet theory that the current insane ratio of attractive women to unattractive men (aside from effort and self-care) is a result of longstanding patriarchal socioeconomic structures which allowed men to select for our attractiveness, but we could rarely do the same. So for hundreds, if not thousands of years depending on what culture we're talking about, men had their pick of pretty ladies if they had enough power or opportunity, and we, well, we just had to deal. As Thucydides put it, "t…

Due to differences in men and women's behaviors and how we're socialized, I feel like older woman-younger man relationships are inherently less unequal than older man-younger woman. An older man is more likely to "look down" on his younger female partner, while a younger man seems to be more likely to view an older woman as his equal or better.

The teenage girls/biology/ thing doesn't even hold up under close scrutiny. If the goal is passing on their DNA, they should be most attracted to women in their twenties and thirties, because if you plot any birth statistics on a graph there's huge spikes for under 20 and over 40 for both maternal and infant mortality. Underdeveloped teenage girls aren't the best choice for carrying, birthing, and raising healthy infants. They are, however, excellent choices if your goal is complete domination i…

I get what you're saying, but the Eisler book doesn't claim men took power because of womb envy. She says they took power because they wanted power ("worshiping the 'blade'"). I've mentioned it before on another post, but I recommend reading "The Chalice and the Blade" by Riane Eisler. Very enlightening book on the rise of misogyny and the displacing of women who were previously central to ancient societies. And yes, it does predate the Abrahamic religions. Those religions provide a rationale for women-hate but they didn't exactly create it. Per other discussions in this sub, we came to the conclusion that men are just as manipulative, gold-digging, and shallow as they have always accused us of being. Similarly, men harp on us about having "absurd" standards when that is in fact what they have. We have reasonable expectations for a life partner. They do not. I sympathize with your frustration but we can't entirely overlook socio-economic factors that facilitate LV behavior in any given group of men. That's kind of a thing everywhere now. The main reason I downloaded the apps in the first place in college was because I wasn't getting approached, other than some weirdo every once in a while. The main problem with heterosexual OLD--in particular swipe-based apps--is that while most women are trying to use it to find genuine connections, most men are using it like a Rolodex for call girls. So there's an immediate conflict of interest and frustration as men wonder why we're not hopping right on their dicks and we're pissed we aren't asked on proper dates or treated like people with preferences and desires of our own. Secondly, men ratfuck the algorithm by mass swiping on every woman's …

A caveat to the statement "causing nothing but pain since humanity exists"--it is a patriarchal myth that humans have always had males as rulers and females as the subjugated.
