So what are you saying? I have no case at all? No chance? She has no medical records, no police reports, no witnesses. You’re telling me her word just means more than mine? Genuinely asking.

oh I know. I’ve got plenty of documentation of unsafe conditions she’s put the kids in since she’s had them in her care. she’s also had the kids ride in a car without a car seat. I also have the attendance records from the kids schools and they’ve been late so many days since the TPO went into effect. hope is for the judge to be fair, not the strategy itself.

she is working, makes 70kish. I’ve covered majority of our bills through our entire relationship though. and she didn’t have the lions share of parenting before the TPO, it was either shared equally or I was the primary. she’s already secured child support when we asked for a continuance at the first hearing, that happened 4 days after I had been served. I traded child support for the ability to video call my girls 3x a week. as far as the suicide attempt, I called the police when it happened. t…

I am, no doubt. I also want her to cover my legal fees considering this wasn’t necessary and there were no attempts at mediation prior to filing.

Dealing with something similar now. Don’t reach out about anything man. Anything can be twisted. Talk about the kids through a court monitored app if you can. Don’t look at her social media, go near the house, anything.

How do I do this if she has a temporary one on me? Feels like the courts would think it’s retaliation. And shit, it kinda would be. Especially considering the suicide attempt was July of last year. I’m open to doing this, I just wanna know how.

so luckily I think we have the same judge for the PO case and the divorce itself. my lawyer is wanting to try to disprove damn near every allegation she’s made cause they are either extremely exaggerated or just complete bullshit. with me being such an involved dad, we’ve subpoenaed the kids pediatrician and couple daycare leaders to speak to be character, demeanor, etc over the years. I’m really hoping that weighs in on the custody things. stbx has struggled with mental health this past year in…

Dawg I’m reading this with a tear in my eye. I wish I could tell my wife this exact same thing. Word for word, line for line. Man this was so introspective of you. I’ve had this same kinda thought today but you verbalized it flawlessly. This shit sucks bro. I know it does but this was powerful of you. Best of luck to you man.

Utilize AI bro. Tell ChatGPT everything that’s going on, including ya state, if you have any kids, property, etc etc. It’s not ideal but it can help for sure.

Damn man. This shit sucks. I’m living a version of this too. 32yo married for 7 years w/ 2 kids. Bread winner. Everyday dad. Wife hit me with a TPO and fled with the kids. Currently waiting for the final hearing of the PO. been about 60 days without seeing my kids and got another 30 to go to the court date. Shit fuckin sucks. I get to video call em 3 times a week they a court ordered app cause I agreed to pay temp child support at the first hearing. we asked for a continuance cause we didn’t hav…

My bad, maybe I miscommunicated. I was served the Monday of Thanksgiving week, with a court date of 12/8. He wouldn’t have had time to depose her and get things from discovery. He didn’t even have a full 10 days. But yeah, she’s gonna crumble under cross examination, that’s our play for sure.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
