I’m also 5’9 and have had this issue more times than I would like to admit! Why lie though is the irritating thing like don’t they assume we will figure it out when we arrive for the date 🤨. Had an ex who insisted he was 6’2 and we were basically the same height and he kept trying to convince me I was taller than I was willing to admit even though I had just had my height measured. ( I do this a lot because for some reason I just won’t stop growing)

Good for you for sticking to your ground! Men think all they have to do is throw around a few compliments and that’s that! I definetly used to fall for it in the past and enjoyed all the attention.
