Those are not really equivalent at the moment, are they? Abortion is a question of body autonomy. The woman is able to decide whether or not the child is born, because the child is using her body as an incubator. When (not if) we have the technology to reliably make it so we can, at any point, extract a fetus from a woman's body and place it in an artificial womb where it'll develop normally, the two will be truly equal, and the father will be able to raise the child on his own.

This argument is actually why I am not part of the men's rights activism movement. My father abandoned my family immediately after getting my mother pregnant, and then engaged in shenanigans to pay as little child support as possible (he's very rich). I think that you are missing two important points: People say that female genital mutilation is performed in barbaric conditions. Same usually goes for male genital mutilation in these areas. There are various forms of both MGM and FGM. Standard MGM is equivalent to removal of the clitoral hood, anatomically as well as functionally.
