No, not circumcision. Not workplace deaths either. I don't think it's child custody either. Definitely not portrayal of men in media. Firmer prosecution for the same crimes? We're getting somewhere, but I am speaking about something more universal.

Active military draft.

Have you ever been a citizen of a country that has active military draft for men? Oh boy is it fun.

In my opinion, 20-30 years is the best period of one's life, the time when you're already an adult but still young. How does it differ for men and women?

Women have a huge variety of choices if they finish high school.

They can go into college, they can just spend a year backpacking, they can try their hand in writing and other arts, etc, etc.

For men it's simple. Upon getting out of high school, you go the fuck to college. Oh, you don't want that? Oh, you made the wrong choice and you're dropping out? Oh, you wanted to just earn money by playing music? Oh, you want to get a religious education, such as in a seminary? Boom, you're fucked, there go two years of your life.

Oh you don't want to spend two years of your life around screaming sweaty men, dirt and battle marches? You're going in jail!

You can actually just bribe the military, there goes your entire salary for half a year. At least. Also, you can get caught doing that, there goes half a year of your salary and you're going in jail.

It's a win/win!
