I'm hoping you are joking... mods you're doing some good work... You ought to post a "here's the ones that didn't make it".

I thought this locker room was tough enough to screen most of the worthless ones out. Yet the quality of questions in r/askmrp are often terrible.

No. Way. I'm well past that and building. You better not be using this "fact" as an excuse for not lifting, you scrawny cunt!

Yes. What the fuck OP. You're a man with options right? Or are you going to try to hump her leg like a horny dog? u/RandomJin is giving you the best advice here but if it's a no then it's a no and you just gotta keep frame and say adios.

3 weeks ago you posted and basically said you wanted her to be DTF when you walk through the door. Now you're here asking how to text to get her wet. What I don't see is any OYS posts. I don't see any of your understanding of the sidebar readings. I don't see any understanding of dread. I don't think you're in "the anger phase of RP" - I think you are still in the "don't understand how to live an RP life so I'm unhappy that I'm not getting the results I want". Honestly bro, where are you at for …

No. I wouldnt choose her now. That's the honest truth. I have other options. None worth swapping out for. But my relationship with my wife is strong enough that I'm going to stay.

What could I do? It's late. You want to sleep. You get some stupid test from your gf. Broken record is your answer. Minimum effort, gets your point across. No emotion, just pure fact and assertion. -Get me a shirt. -No I'm going to sleep. -C'mon get me a shirt. -No (and repeat as necessary) EDIT: dont keep repeating as necessary. Get your point across that the answer is "no" and disengage. I dont mean that you should be keeping a stupid argument alive by continuing responding to her.

I've been thinking about this post and the related one, having just past my own 2 year mark. Although I'm in a much, much better place, it hasn't been a straightforward road to glory. So I have a lot of time for u/TurdDoctor and his FR. The MRP toolbox is a suite of options. It isn't a "one-size-fits-all" approach as to how to live your life. My own experience is that after 2 years I've chosen some of those tools and effectively used them, and some of the others I have not (e.g. I haven't ever f…

Are you even gaming your wife? Does she even see you as someone who wants sex, or just a co-parent that she sees one day a week?
/r/askMRP29/04/19 12:22 PM

I'm going to say this simply, so you can understand and nothing gets "lost in translation". You think too much. Seriously. You overthink everything. STOP making your wife the center of all of your thoughts. And do not start making yourself the center of all of your thoughts. It is time for you to start DOING. By that I mean start going to the gym. Start making friends and acquaintances other than your wife. Start a hobby or sport. I mean, if I do not try, she might think that WHO GIVES A FUCK WH…

You are over-reacting. This is broadly considered "attention from another male" and should be treated with simply. It could happen at a club, in the street, at her work, or on snapchat about a dog (!). Laugh it off. Pull her close. Make her realise she wants you. And why is that? Because you have been working on your MAP, you are leading, you're in control of yourself and your life and she wants part of that, not her ex-fucking-part-dog-owner. Save the ultimatums for the important stuff. Right n…

It's a fair question. Some jobs are definitely more likely to become automated than others. There have been studies into it and occupations like driving are very easily automated. But like others ITT have said... I lived through the era of factory automation where "robots will take our jobs". It was never a deep or quick social change, and the world coped. Likewise where we are now where I sit in meetings and we ask "how will AI change our workplace?" Personally I have 2 boys and I am raising th…

It's not your responsibility to manage their emotions, neuroses or whatever they have. If she is shy and introverted don't think you can change it. Just work with it. Its a bit different to extrovert women. Yeah, women are different. Don't think that they are all the same and that you're going to get the same experience with a shy introvert as an outgoing extrovert. She still comes back to you, so keep on doing what you're doing. Keep her comfortable and you're gonna keep on having great sex.

What's my mission. It's an incredibly often-asked question. Why? Because people think they are missing something? Because they aren't happy with who or where they are? Trying to find your mission is like asking "what is the meaning of life." Instead... focus on those areas of your life that you know to bring you joy and fulfillment. You've already listed some. Find people with the same passions. Develop your understanding or experience or knowledge of that. Cars, fitness, mediaeval churches- wha…

BW 180, 5'11", BF 15% (visual) I'm plateauing on SQ225, BP140, DL175, OHP100, BR120. I have hit slightly higher early on but can't get back to that peak. You're right, I've not been in the gym for a while. And I am a bit bored with having done the same 5 lifts. The idea of Wendler with the assistance exercises is looking appealing.

I've been away for a while, last OYS was many months ago and there's been ups and downs. My desire to live and be RP is resolute. However, I'm finding myself a bit stuck. If it makes you feel better: my wife (before we were together) had other cocks my plates had other cocks ... you see? You're not special. I think the problem here is that you don't think that you're a man of value. Ego... you have to let it go. Ego can be a burden.

As an older gent I had the usual "ha... midlife crisis is it?" when I started going to the gym and changing my look and wardrobe. I just pressure-flipped it and said "I'm looking after myself - are you?" That, and the fact that I have committed to the change and look and feel 1000 times better than them now makes me realise that I don't give a fuck what they think. This is pure Truth. I guarantee I see other people in that same way. I certainly see fellow MRPers that way. Because I don't - NONE OF US - give a fuck about how hard your marriage is or your upbringing was. Everyone fucks up. I certainly have. What defines a man is how he responds. You're already starting to see how you went wrong. That's a great start. You learn from your mistakes if you know what they are, and don't repeat them.

Come on dude. You've tried gaming other girls with no success and now one sniffs about you and you're asking if you should? You tell us. What's changed about you? Been lifting? Been owning your shit? Been improving and getting better? Because perhaps you are now starting to see those efforts be repaid. In any case- don't fall into a oneitis where "this is the only girl who likes me" trap. The fact that you have kept trying to work at your aims ("I tried/listened/changed") tells me that you haven't stopped. That you are still trying. I'm more worried by people who don't try and then complain. Perhaps you need to step back a bit. Perhaps you are trying too hard. Perhaps you are thinking about sorting your "whole life" out when you could be just soaking up and exploring the different avenues. You're not depressed, you just aren't getting what you want. u/AbdulCapon is right. This is a clear case of oneitis. You're like a rabbit in the headlights and unable to speak to her the way you want to. She's the only girl you want, right? You have to realise that there are other girls out there. So my challenge to you is this: practise on other girls. That's it. Talk to other girls. It'll be easy, right? Because you've only got eyes for one girl, and it won't be the ones I'm telling you to tal…

Sometimes I think there's an over-reliance on mission because people with mission have worked out their "meaning for life". Its not that easy. Mission is a complex and nuanced idea. I'm much older than you and I'm still developing my mission. The reason is that the more I live, experience and understand - the better I understand what I want/need to do. At 20 you are gathering experience. You should be out there doing all of those good ideas that you had (learn guitar, eat healthy, study, read et…

You practise Stoicism... yet you can't distinguish between things you can control and things you cannot control? Tell me. You've changed yourself. You've become someone you want to be, right? But your wife hasn't changed. So... you do realize you can't make her change? There are two options. Snapchat for main plate. Works best. Messages for the other (less frequent, I am in a habit of deleting everything and she knows not to message me unless I message first). Previous plate was much younger and it was all snapchat.

Nowadays the ability for "victims" to pick and choose what they present is scary. Out-of-context messages are an obvious example. Good luck I hope it goes well. I use snapchat with one plate but message another and I realise there is always a risk. Especially when sendng commanding messages. Do you think you could expand on this for a post? Mission. You've really nailed it with that analogy of the cave. My experience is 100% in line with this. So you improve your SMV by lifting, dressing well and being confident. Great. You bang girls and plate some. Nice. But by banging them you have validated them. They think "yeah now I am someone who can bang a hot guy." Potential humblebrag but necessary to illustrate u/TrenGod37 s point. I have plates and they have stuck around because 1 they like to fuck me, but 2 from the messages they send…

You've already realised that "some girls" like the drawback after kissing. Presumably some it doesn't work for, right? So how did you work that out? You look, listen, feel for the response. u/MisterMisfit is bang on. They aren't all the same. So if you want to get them all worked up, you try a move, gauge the response and calibrate. It's not supposed to be scientific, but if you're able to respond to what they like you're gonna do fine.

This is a very vague question. For me, stress is the result of situations that I don't feel I have enough control over. To overcome this, I either accept that some parts of life are outside of my control (so why worry about what I cant control?), or I manage my workload. Remember that its OK to say no. Put it in a way that shows that you are in control though. E.g. "I can't take on that extra project and give it the attention it needs, I'm already fully committed with projects x and y."

Girls are fun. But they aren't the only goal in your life, right? Part of getting over oneitis is realizing that there is more to life than just girls. That's in part what a lot of understanding Red Pill is. At your age there are many many goals to go for. One particular girl should not be one of them.
/r/askTRP04/08/18 02:55 PM

You're approaching it the wrong way. Your thinking: "this is how I look..I hope other people like it." What you should be thinking: "this is how I look. I wonder if this girl is interesting? I'll talk to her." Don't over-reach or you'll be asking if thin/thick eyebrows are OK, if you should have long/short hair... You are you. And if you're a good enough person, then the whole world should be happy to meet you. Broken nose or not.

Completely agree with how you fuck other women. When I realized that no relationship is forever, and I became comfortable with the fact that plates break (and you won't care when they do)... then I started fucking like it was the last time I'd ever be able to fuck them. The thing is... you give it to them good and they always want more. Even if you're only fucking your main lady, you should be treating each fuck like its the last one. Because one day it will be.

This is an important topic. Rather than vice or whoever getting into this lets be rational and let science rather than media explain trends. Elusive... yes. I haven't yet managed to "pin down" my mission. On the other hand, I believe that mission isn't a fixed idea. It changes with your age, status, mindset and ability. So while I try to clearly identify my mission, my mantra is to accept opportunities as they arise. To not be afraid of taking risks and failing. Old thunderbeyond played it very safe. But since considering, and accepting, some very interesting opportunities... I have improved my career (taken on risky yet rewarding pr…

Do not text back. When you get back to your house, you are calm. You are in control of yourself and your emotions. If you're only new, then STFU is your friend. It means you minimize your communication with her. Don't turn into a mute-tard... rather know that she gets a brief response then you have better things to do. And have some things to do. "I'm not talking about this now, I have xx to do." "Sorry but I have to get yy done." Do not worry about "long-term" you just need to get through the 2…

A good understanding of what motivates yourself allows you to prioritize your actions. A good understanding of what motivates others is critical to managing other people. This is as true in a family sense as in business. It is highly likely that the motivating factors for others is different from your own. In fact, it ought to be. Many, many people are motivated by doing things because they think other people want them to do. That was many of us, and the reason that books like NMMNG and WISNIFG …

My question with this post is the "with her" part. Are you thinking that another female will be able to do everything better? There is a dangerous line of thinking that you ditch your wife, find another woman and then go through all this again. Because "with her" it's no good but with others it would be better. I have some different questions for you: does your wife contribute to your mission? Or at least does she not get in the way of you achieving it? why don't you just go get some strange (th…

Firstly, every young man should be doing what you do and taking control of BC. If you're not wrapping it you're just inviting trouble. Secondly, wouldn't be too worried about your particular concern. I've had that too. Finally, post-fuck is not a good time to bring up BC. Before you fuck you remind her that you're out for a good time, not a baby. And then you can say "so are you making sure that happens?" and put some responsibility on her.

"Ramblings" is right. This is an incoherent and frankly strange wander through your mind. Good news is... you're on the right path. I have a question back at you. What do you want? No... really. Think about this before you answer. What do YOU want? Your post is all about the strictures others are putting upon you. Be honest with us. Be honest with yourself. Do you have goals? No more self-depracation. Own the fact that you're asking for help. We all need help sometimes. Keep it simple and light-hearted if you're making conversation. Use open-ended questions and keep working with what they tell you. Add some personal info so it's not an inquisition. "Oh you studied in x? I was there last year! I loved going to the y. What did you like about x?" Practise. Talk to people. The more you try, the better you get. Don't be afraid.

Dead right. Women have made their mind up about you by how you look. They see the muscles and they make up the stories in their mind about how strong you are. It's not as if you can pick up and OHP a woman to prove it. You dress well and you have a chance to show it only. Make the hamster run.

You get her there by starting to move away from her. Your self-improvement means your SMV starts to eclipse hers. This instills dread in and of itself. maybe she was a great help, but accept that your mission is yours, not hers. Sure. But your wife can be a huge ally. Sometimes I think that there is too much of an "adverserial" style to a marriage. The right attitude - in my opinion- is that you work together to get missions accomplished. If you can turn your wife into your FO, then you are going to be able to achieve a lot more in life.

Repeating a mantra of "I am alpha and tough and all women want me" is no substute for actual self-improvement. Finding your mission is perhaps one of the hardest things to do on your Red Pill journey. For me, yes it has been. But luckily I also think that it's the most advanced of topics - and for most of us we can focus on the simple goals you laid out. Sounds like a stressful week. It is important to be able to find some time away from the stressors - this may give you time to reflect on what went wrong, or simply give you a break from it all to recharge. What are your go-to activities that can get you out of the stressful frame of mind? For me it's a long walk/hike or banging on some loud music. Also, don't be too hard on yourself. Mental health should be a primary focus for all men. Every one of us needs to ensure that we have a solid foundation. Self acceptance, the ability to learn from our mistakes, resilience against all the shit that life throws up.

Goodbye Plate Perhaps the most important part of the FR. Definitely a part of the story that needs to be understood. If you are not willing to walk away from a plate, you are not doing it right.

Don't get caught thinking that your advancement is measured in IOIs. So many guys do this. Its a validation trap. You start to do things with a woman's approval as the goal rather than your own reasons for change.

The idea of "toxic masculinity" is an example of an idea that has no basis. I've yet to meet someone that can explain to me how masculinity is either antisocial or dangerous. Here is the kicker. Men are supposed to be dangerous. We need to have that killer instinct, the unknown quantity. And young men need to know that it is OK to be like that. Instead we have a range of therapists, teachers and psychs (and guess what... all female) that tell me that my sons are "too energetic" or that they need…

It's like fishing, you catch, and put them in the live tank. When you catch a better fish, throw the worse one back in the water. Go have fun and see what the world has to offer you. Make sure that you don't neglect the things you know you must do... don't skip lifting or working just for a date. TRP has some good resources for managing it. 97% of men are fat fucking pathetic losers??? You're goddamn right. OP it's important to not compare yourself against them. I heard a radio piece today where an "incel expert" (there's the first problem) was lumping MRA in with the incel camp. RP is surely going to be drawn in. Interestingly the (female) expert said "admitted" rather that there were toxic feminist sites around. But the internet was a place where bad people can come together. No shit. Three accts: hers, mine, family. All the income goes into the family acct, and a "stipend" goes to me and the wife. This way we have our own money to spend as we please (IDNGAF what she does with her money, and she gets no say on how I spend mine). The bulk of the income sits for household bills. Surplus goes against the mortgage. We had credit cards but I stopped that because there is no way a (/my) woman can use it properly.

There are some real inconsistencies in this post. Most glaringly " I do what I want" vs "I log my decisions" which is a real head-scratcher. So... do you do what you want to? I do. And I live by the consequence of my actions. If you don't say "yes" and embrace it... wtf are you doing?

The pill is not easy to swallow. For someone like myself coming here from a BP background it is a very difficult transition that requires a new way of thinking and acting. When the new guys start out (and absolutely I was one too) it is very easy to get down on yourself and think "I'll never make this". I'm tracking bodyweight through the SL5x5 app. Strangely over the last 2 months I've been steadily losing weight. 5 months ago at 187 now at 177. Not a huge decline, but the decline is definitely there. I thought I'd plateau but no, still weighing less. I'm nearly at my max lifts again (which was about 3 months ago). Yes I agree that the types have intersection, i.e. you can have attribute of more than one type. I consider myself primarily a connector, some maven... but find sales a challenge. I've worked sales in the past. It was one of my hardest jobs but taught me so much about people and my own methods of approaching/influencing people. I'll have a look into the book. Thanks.
/r/TheRedPill10/04/18 03:41 PM

Interesting- never seen this before. Makes a lot of sense though. I work with a lot of Mavens and they tend to lack social skills. Connectors and Salesmen manage to do well at their job (and be as successful as any Maven) but have advanced social skills. Every young man should give sales a try. At tje very least it will put you on a path towards either subject matter experts (Mavens) or having "broader" skills.

Thanks for this. I have a FWB and a plate that have both expressed a desire for sharing another woman. It could just be that they are really freeing up sexually? However the logistics are difficult to set up, and I'm not that keen to try to set it up. Having read this, I sure as shit ain't gonna introduce them to each other. I'm fairly certain you predicted her reaction to the muscle gain. Re credit card - I told her how the card needed to be used. She wanted to get points on everyday purchases and I said that was OK as long as it was directly repaid (so we kept track of spending). She didn't do it, I re-explained why and what was happening (another chance) and it happened again. Our credit card debt was climbing again. So a day later I walked to the bank and I put a stop on the card.

Similar experience in an airport queue when wife says "god look at that girls ass. Is mine that good?" Hell, now this was heaven in yoga pants. I told her "sure thats a nice ass but you got her beat with the tits" (which was true). Lighthearted punch and a cheeky smile from the wife and life goes on. I didn't think I had to lie to my wife about it - she wouldn't have believed me anyway. But I gave her comfort she knows I find her attractive.

As someone who did not have this information before I got married and had kids... I wish I had read this many years ago. If you're going to go and have a family, it's far better to go into things with your eyes open - rather than have to unfuck yourself when you are already seriously enmeshed in the system.
/r/TheRedPill25/03/18 09:30 AM

Fuck man you got spirit. Some people cruise through life, passively waiting for nice things to comw their way. You're out there making your own life, when others would have rolled over. This story should shake their cages. I'm humbled and inspired.

Great read. Your are clear on your motivations, and the need to keep looking forwards. I thought the part about early retirement was interesting- that being able to retire early actually freed your mindset towards working. You said you broke frame a couple of times. How did you reset yourself in those times? I.e. how did you get yourself back on track? Congratulations, by the way. It's an awesome achievement.

I like JBP. He breaks fairly complex problems into more easily solved chunks. Its like the pop philosophy of Alain De Botton etc of a few years back. Why not? I don't think his ideas are stupid- he makes good arguments for getting your shit in order. The interested people will delve further into self-analysis. Thats great. The less interested may or not but... they weren't going to think about it deeply anyway.

ENVY I would argue that they are now looking for status- which directly complements the envy element. There's a race for likes, followers etc that stinks of "look at me!" and generally I don't see it coming from women who are captains of industry. Spot on. There's a generation of women out there looking for the validation - by generating envy in their social group.

I had some back soreness a while ago, and massively deloaded on the DL. Like 60% deload. I thought it was better just to start again and build up rather than risk getting a fucked back. It feels good to get back into it with the light weights, and I think its better to lift light than not at all.

I think that I just do these things because I can. But that's a surefire way to sabotage what I have, and the better marriage I have built. I'm still struggling with mission because in part I can't stop myself from writing "do what I want, when I want". That's not a recipe for marital success though. I clearly need to do some thinking about what is important.

Shit happened Things are going to be a bit different on this OYS. I had a heap of things happen this week. I'll concentrate on the most important one. I was at a party on Saturday night. A good friend's birthday, lots of people I know, lots of new people. During the night, I have great chats with many awesome people - a few cocktails, a few beers. Fast forward, I'm talking to some HB7. She tells me she's in the process of divorce, and hasn't had sex for months. I laugh and tell her that "I can't…

There's a lot of weird fuckers here and in r/askMRP that think she looked at me = IOI = abundance mentality The idea of catch and release is a bridge too far for these guys. Talking to them doesn't even happen... It's weak but thats unfortunately what some are taking from this.

"I just want you to be more efficient at work so I can spend more time with you" Its a bit shitty but sounds like more of a comfort test. /r/MarriedRedPill16/03/18 10:15 AM

1- confidence is key. 2- I can't disagree but my question was if you're going to spin them are you happy for a potential marriage blow up? OPSEC is very important but remember - nothing is infallible. 3- It was a question as to whether it was just talk or not. I sorta got the answer already. There's a lot of "I'll spin plates" talk on here, by guys who have zero approach.

Re plates, these are legitimate questions. 1- do you feel like you have an abundance mentality right now? 2- do you know what the risks are, and are you willing to take that? 3- how often do you practice catch and release?

Nah gotta disagree with you. As someone who started with bodyweight and then moved to lifting, I'm a fan of both. I was looking buff after bodyweight. It gives you extreme core strength. It gives you awesome shoulders. I lift now. My shoulders, chest and thighs are all much bigger. All to be expected when I'm SL'ing more than my bodyweight. There are a lot of similarities - in both you push to get better and better each time (there are progressions), in both you push to failure, in both you are …

Nice one. As someone who just went through this the idea of presenting can be a daunting one. I would add that one important part is to have some energy and passion. I started nearly a year ago with u/SorcerorKing 's 60 Days of Dread. It was the kick in the pants I needed to stop lurking and actually do something. I'm a massive fan of 60DoD and Men of March themes. If you're reading this as a lurker and think "OK whats the first step?" it is an easy way to get started. Obligatory "sidebar" and "lift" as well. Sounds exactly like my wife, who also complains about poor nights sleep. I gently remind her to head up to bed (although I'm usually in bed before her and up earlier). Yep, no pre bedtime rituals, often on the phone in bed, gets up to fuss over kids at the slightest noise... It is annoying- but what can I do? I can't force her to sleep. You can never control what the other person in a relationship does and says. You can only influence how they act. That is not to say "be high value so she stays around". What we are saying is "be high value as that is what a man should be." The bonus is that you will find not only is your woman less likely to branch-swing (cos hey she's got a good thing going on) but other women will be attracted to you. Fuck trust. It is a transitory and shifting value.

It is a weakness. I know I did the wrong thing now, and I should have at least rewarded the few good things (eg "dammit I licked your balls!") but it was... for me... another duty sex performance. And I find it hard to reward the shining parts of an otherwise lacklustre performance. The difficulty is that better is kinda literally around the corner. It has been years of duty sex. There's a definite difference between the tone of MRP and RP. I agree. But I also disagree with you. With her being so far away there is obviously no opportunity for physical intimacy with her. FTFY. You have to make a decision. Either go find that intimacy elsewhere, or go without until she returns (and spend that physical energy in the gym). It's your choice. You can't control what she does, so concentrate on making decisions for yourself and stick to them.

Making mistakes at work... As someone once said to me: "if you're not making mistakes, you're not trying." Learning from mistakes is powerful. You get to a point when you're at a conference, you've had a few beers, and someone says "OK guys what's your biggest fuck-up?" and trust me then you find out that there are some big fuckups out there by successful people.. I don't want to have children with this woman. I don't have a justification to be married to this woman. Are you getting prep'd for d…

Maybe you're overthinking this. Maybe, just maybe, she's asking for help with raising the children. It's a busy time of life. At 1 and 4 they can't do anything for themselves. You and your wife are the ones who have to do it all. I agree with u/Alphaphux - these are calls for you to do what needs to be done. You're wondering if this is a power struggle. If it were the case that she's sat on her ass eating bonbons and leaving kids in wet diapers, and ordering you about, then yes - that's unreason…

I love these posts that really delve into the deeper parts of Red Pill theory... OP there are better places to ask this question. Start with professors, tutors or those working in the field already for a better idea.

Divorcing her then treating her as a plate? Sounds like rooting through the rubbish. You have new options and a new mindset. Sure, be friends if you want/need, but you should be moving forward with your MAP and your life. I look forward to seeing your next OYS.

I don't believe you have to make the money to be the man. I've met quite a few tradesmen that have wives in professional circles on triple the pay or more. But they are fun, handy to have around the house, and keep in shape. Ie they still have something to offer. But what value do you bring to her? You tried to learn Chinese but --couldn't-- wouldn't put in the effort. Yet enough time to be a "face around the office" or carrying boxes? What sort of a person do you want to be? Will you head home …

A lot of this resonates with me. I think this is a classic case of where the man improves, the woman doesn't/can't/won't. And then what are your options? Persaeus' advice to me ages ago was to consider the value they bring to you. Question for you OP, tell me you don't have feeelz for the new woman?

So you have hitched your wagon to a more progressive firm with a positive growth strategy. That should see benefits (financial as well as career opportunities) in the future. Hanging around the right sort of people makes sense in business like in social circles. Sounds like a good decision, and that you will make the most of it.

Interested in the job change. Did your previous employer make an offer for you to stay? If you knew you could have had the newer job - then you have found your market value. I know pay isn't the only consideration. Why do you say the better salary is a wash?

It has been quite a while since a proper OYS. I've been struggling with getting myself some time and space to myself to think. The end of year period is always the most hectic and I am looking forward to the relative calm of January. I have had some chance to address one critical error - my lack of goals. How long have you been together? I take it that the pregnancy wasn't planned, but not unwelcome. Apart from sex... what do you actually want with your life? You're gonna be a dad so best factor that in.

For me I think its too early to tell how my own change has been perceived by them. I take solace in the fact that the values I hold for myself are the right ones to instill in children - leading, valuing your time, caring for your health and ypur family. I look firward to seeing those reflected in the actions of my kids. For older kids- perhaps you need to make the right changes and sustain them so that they realise you are the new/better person, not just play-acting as one.

Hell man what a situation. No doubt there's going to be a lot of emotional energy - anger, rage, doubt, confusion. You have to always remember to channel these into some sort of - any sort of - positive output. Others have given you plenty of ways to do this. A real man is forged from the hottest of fires. You got this.

This is a unique situation. First option. No doubt she knows what's happening when an attractive, fit, well-off gentleman heads overseas for 9 months. She knows but she can turn a blind eye to infidelity because its unlikely to affect her social standing, and the checks to fund her lifestyle keep rolling in. This really reminds me of my former self - the "wait for bedtime then try it on" special. Ugh. The difference now is literally night and day. I initiate in the day more than the evening. Not a limp-wristed "I've just put a movie on for the kids" effort. It's a "whisk my wife away for some ravaging" whenever I feel like it. The situation you describe is the "paint yourself into a corner" which no doubt we've all been in. But I think as your self-confidence grows and your OI increases that: 1- you…

When I found this sub, I was in counselling and it was nearly splitsville. My first OYS was about this. At the time I was blaming her for everything (I was a sad sack of shit back then). I asked myself "what if I am the weak link? What if I'm the one to blame?" Looking back there was a lot -a lot- wrong with me. I determined that if I was a super-awesome guy, and we still divorced, then I could at least hold my head high and say it wasn't my fault. Thats a pretty shit way to look at it but that'…

I take it that 125 is lower than where you think I should be. BP is 130 now on 5X5 (increased since posting) but I can feel that progress is going to be hard from here on. It's been nearly 5 mths of lifting and I started at 45lb BP (2 deloads during this time). Happy to share the progress data if wanted. I weigh 180lbs weight, in 5 months of lifting I've put on 5lbs. It is my first lifting program so I'm unsure of how these gains compare - your feedback is definitely welcome. Thanks Taipan

That's a good idea. And nicely, I'm about 90 days away from that 1 year mark. I'll work on some 90 day goals though. This year I had set myself a task of playing live twice (I'm in a band)- that was my "push myself into a new and difficult situation". So far I've played 4 times and have loved it. I'd like to do it a lot more often, but its contingent on others' availability. Good points to think about.

Lifting - these are my 5x5 amounts, I've not tested myself on 1RM. I work off the SL5x5 app. I missed 9 days and the app recommended a deload due to the time off. As I've not been on any lifting program before, I took its word and deloaded. The good thing about the app is that it shows graphically the progress (and the bumps where the deloads happen) so I can track it that way. As for goals - I really want to bench my weight (180) and because I'm at the limit of what I can lift in OHP, I want to…

Waking up at 5am is good, but as you realise, what is the point if you have nothing to do? I generally wake up at 5am - but on days when I don't have to, I have no problem with staying up and practising my hobbies (guitar). So some days I'm up at 5, some days at 7. Regardless, I'm always up first in the house. I think the key is to spend your time in a worthwhile manner.

She's going through a lot of changes - physically, hormonally. It's gonna be a wild ride. Having been through it a couple of times (and different both times), as well as talking to others, I don't know if there is a "normal" sex drive for the woman. The common (and IMO sensible) opinion here is that everything changes when they are pregnant. Initiate, though, and FFS if you're getting hard no's don't get dispirited. Your own self-improvement doesn't stop because the sex is less frequent.

Just remember this is "M"RP so you'll be getting advice from married guys. Their advice (and mine) is based on real experience. Don't be naive. Marriage is a life sentence. Bit of time since the last OYS. Back nonetheless. I'll be pretty quick though, and just post a few things. Changing your body language is a simple way to up your physical attractiveness. Can't link at the moment but I've been reading the post on MRP from about 2 yrs ago. Perhaps the whole package is not needed if you only want to attract a certain type of person. Perhaps you can get through life being just attractive in one area. Spot on with this post - damn you're going to be killing it if you are fit, fun and well-balanced.

That last point rings true. It is so clear when someone is talking out their ass. Due to the nature of the topic and my level of experience, the likelihood of questions I cannot answer is high. Honesty will be my policy. "I don't know but I can get back to you on..." I appreciate your response.

There is a lot in here! Thank you. One interesting point is about the elevator speech. I don't have one, and it rings in my ear when the convenor says "send me your bio". Time to get working.

"If you're lonely when you're alone, you're in bad company" John-Paul Sartre Great post. You also made a great distinction between spending time alone to fuck around, and time alone to get things done. If you are spending your precious free time to polish your ass while you sit in front of a television, console or game - you have wasted that time. Your mission is your mission, it applies when you are flat out busy, or when you have some free time away from all the distractions. If you can demons…

I'm gonna throw a question back at you OP. But I'm interested in answers from the peanut gallery as well. Why did you post this in MRP? I see you posted the same question in TRP as well. And I presume you are not married. (Tell me otherwise) What is it about MRP that is attracting all these questions about LTRs and lease-breaking etc.? Is this a recent phenomenon, or do we provide a different viewpoint from other subs?

This could be your chance to shine, and show her your fun and spontaneous side. After all, you're not just a father, you're the man your wife should want to chase. You are the prize, right? Even if you're not at the "goal weight" you need to act like you are the fucking king. So you could surprise her with a lovely night out just because. Be suave. Treat her like your girlfriend. How can I change my thinking to be able to show her love in the way she claims to feel it And here is the problem. You're trying to change the way she feels. If you've done any background on MRP you'll notice that we are about fixing the man. But you're trying to change how she perceives your servitude. You don't want to change your actions, you want her to think differently about them, i.e. appreciate you more. It's not gonna happen. You've created a shitbox for yourself after [how many?] years…

The last time I had a DGAF attitude was when I first started posting in OYS. The difference was that back then I was just letting life happen to me. I was at the end of the marriage and like a dog I was just rolling over. Now I am much more controlling of my life and the DGAF attitude comes from a "I know exactly what I'm going to do with my life" mentality. While there is still a ways to go, you're right - "force multiplier" is a great way to put it.

I don't think you can underestimate the importance of giving kids discipline. Definitely. And that "get hot and she will fuck me" is a covert contract right there. The gents starting out need to be aware that they are going to fix themselves by the application of the principles. If you're wife starts fucking you again, great. But you are here to improve yourself. The rest follows (or gets left behind). The best thing I've got from this place is that I am a better person now than when I first unplugged. 7 out of 10... many would love that! Mrs Thunder asked me after the last funtimes "how was that?" - this time I replied that the best part was that she actually put some effort in. I don't think saying "that was poor" or being overly critical will either improve her next effort, or make it likely that there is a next effort. If you're not fucking them, they are orbiters. They can be fun to practise on (good), or a source of external validation (not good). No, you don't have to fuck them to get abundance mentality. If ya know they're DTF, then you could see that as mission accomplished, and now practise on hitting up higher SMV women. what's abundance mentality really worth A lot if you're getting butthurt every time you get shot down after initiating. Good point. I take risk to be the product of the likelihood of it happening, and the consequence of it does. I think what you are talking about is "likelihood" being small. Although she may not tell, it seems like most tards fuck up their own [lack of] opsec and get caught. And the consequence is potentially large. Divorce rape exists and some wives may see this as their way to fuck you back.

The drinking and exercise are a bit chicken-and-egg for me. When one is happening, the other isn't. I found if I at least concentrated on doing just one of them (i.e. focus on not drinking, or focus on exercising) then the other happened automatically. Don't take your foot off the gas though.

It's good to learn from your failures. For me, there are plenty in the past to learn from... But if you're not failing you're not trying hard enough. But my question is, did you fail on something for one week, and then decide that the new goal is to do it for four weeks? Another idea might be to break it down into more manageable targets - if you keep hitting the smaller targets you'll get to the bigger target.

Coming here to dissect these things is like an audit. Internet randoms with time on their side (like me) can pick any FR apart and give pointers on how to get that extra bit better. Bu fuck man give yourself a pat on the back and see how far you have come. The SO comes home shitty, you fob it off. She shit tests you with housework but guess what... you owned your shit so she ain't got shit to hang on you. Then you go do your thing in the yard. You passed. She comes back and slides into your arms…

Yep. By establishing these, you've just consigned/confined yourself to a specific time and a specific place where you are "allowed" to do what you want.

I like fucking. I like fucking different women. If an opportunity arises, and I think that reward > risk, then I take it. I do it because I want to. That's all there is to it for me. If it all goes to shit, so be it. I'm OK with that - but I'm not OK with not doing what I want to, just from fear of that.

If you don't want to end the marriage, then it's a no. You have to accept that consequence as a potential ticket price. You should be upping your dread game instead (like many others have said already).

This is a great reply. I am struggling with this myself at the moment. I've just faded away from pursuing the wife and initiating. There is another factor at play - but even though at the start of MRP journey I had abundance mentality and worked very hard on OI (it was a major weakness of mine) - I'm thinking I may have finally realised that in those first few months I was expecting more sex because I felt I was a better man. And that's a shit covert contract/validation that I built for myself. …

Well... yes. Sounds so simple when you lay my thoughts out together. I don't expect pornstar sex from the wife, but at least minimal effort would be nice. I can't change her level of effort, so... I work on my MAP and OMS in the house instead. I just wonder if I leave it too long I'll just give up on the idea of wanting to fuck her.

It's not easy to lead the wife, and as we know, we can't fix the feelz. Does she at least have some hobby, or something outside of the family, or something that she does? My wife doesn't, and the phone finger-fucking is incredible... (and the falling asleep during movies... etc etc) Is there a chance you can include her in some of your activities? I'd lost count of how many OYS posts, but thanks to a recent count have realised this is #12! Again, going to keep it quick. It has been a bit of an unremarkable week. Found out from plate that the idea to mark her actions, not her words, is totally true. She told me how she feelz, but then acted exactly the opposite. Work, social life, going well. Finances a definite improvement and I know that it is because I set a clear boundary and kept enforcing it. It is encouraging. This post is going to …

Have you tried this in your own life? I'm interested because it would be very difficult to verify accuracy (low n and long timeframes for results maybe barriers). I like this post. The one point I'd add is that a man should use his creative skills to further his own goals. It would be counter-productive to think that "I can get laid more if I become that creative dude that chicks dig"... if that's what you want, then you're just working for pussy. If you truly harness your creative side, in the manner OP suggests, you are going to raise your SMV. But more importantly, you will develop yourself as a man.

I can sympathise. I get this too. In this instance I would recommend planning something with her for a few weeks out, that she can get excited for (and crow to her friends about). One big gesture that she can hang her hat on. Your point about fighting the constant battle is in part what I had tried to ask in my recent askmrp post. I want it all. I want to excel in everything I turn my hand at. As much as I want it, it can never happen. I'll check out the link, though, and keep marching to improvement. Its amazing where your thoughts can lead to when you have the time and space to think freely. Yeah I hope you do get that opportunity regularly as it obviously helps.

I don't have a problem with motivation - I'm using the anger at myself to drive myself forward. I can't remember who said it (here or at OYS) but something to the effect of "my body said it didn't want to exercise but I told it to STFU and did it anyway". I'm getting better at that. However, using time wisely is obviously the bigger problem for me. Meal prepping is a definite good idea. Fixes a lot of the diet issues (tendency to snack on poor food) and its going to save money too... which will …

That's a fair point. I've got the same amount of time as everyone here. Using it in the best way will be the challenge for me. I don't lack motivation - although old me did. You may be right that I'm too lazy to figure out how to get everything done. Clearly this needs to be a priority for me.

I'm still working on my mission. After years of drifting, I'm only now starting to get a perspective of setting goals and directions. I take your point, if I find the direction, I can work on those parts that propel me in that direction.

Not much story here. "Relationship is usually pretty good" but there is this one instance where she's been a bitch. Is there a history of problems or is this just a one-off? You called her out on her bullshit. Move on.

My wife found my Kindle in week fucking 2 and saw NMMNG and wanted to know "what all this is about"... I fobbed it off with "I want to be a more assertive guy at work" which she bought. Ha. Thinking back now she must have just always thought I was a weak man... I listened to the advice I received in OYS and upped the opsec and didn't bring any MRP stuff up again.

Back again. Even though shared with a lot of people, these OYS' feel like written contracts for the next week. What went well: This week I've made a conscious decision to address the way I drink. I don't drink all the time, but when I do, its too much. It affects me, affects my family, affects my work. It is part of the MAP and I have stopped fucking around and done something. This week I combined work and social life at an industry awards night. I got an invite to the table of high-flyers withi…

Pretty new here myself, will respond to #4. There are two "transformation" FRs that come up- the steady gains after months of work; and the train-wreck Rambo. Seems to me like the better way to go about things is to take your time and not expect quick results. Personally I'm about 2 months in, and yeah while I'd love a pickup in sex quality and frequency, all the things I could have but don't... I just gotta be patient. Rambo FRs are like sports highlights reels where someone gets fucked up in a…

Ok so I'm also new to this. I got a question though. My question is: what is the benefit of telling the wife to STFU... over just leaving and doing something else? I agree, she's going beserk and thats bullshit. But when she's screaming is there a benefit to fighting fire with fire? or just leave and let it fizzle out.

Well done man I'm new too. Pregnant wife? Watch out. Their hormones are all over the place and I've seen a lot of posts/comments about how that time is a different kettle of fish. Plus seen it twice myself... You'll have to look after her during this time and your idea to keep getting things done will show you're in the captain role and someone she can look up to. Now if I could only take my own advice...

Thanks man. I read your reply hours ago and have been thinking about it since. As I started to write back, I've caught myself DEERing. I clearly have to keep changing my mindset. Sounds like you've been through hell. Anger can be a hell of a powerful emotion. You're angry at everyone, including yourself. Use that now to motivate yourself into action. Anger is destructive though. Don't let it linger. Use it as a diagnostic tool and work out the specific ways you can change your thinking and behaviours. Does it get any worse? Maybe. Who cares. You can't change that, but you can change yourself. Sounds like you want to.

I'd love the castle to be in order. I have my possessions squared away, and do my utmost to lead by example. Problem is she is a borderline hoarder, stuff everywhere... if I try to touch it there's an instant fight. The kids see the mess, and its hard to enforce why they have to put things away. It is a constant source of friction. Help welcome... as I said, this topic may be my first post.

You're here. You're posting on OYS. You're contributing to the forum. That's more than a lot of beta fucks do. And I bet no-one in your family/town knows this, right? Its for you. You're not looking for validation from a bunch of internet strangers, are you? This is for you. And to look at yourself, realise you could be better, that is something that takes courage. Don't be so hard on yourself.

From what I've read in my time here, the NMMNG idea of telling your partner has been disendorsed. Better just to think it over yourself rather than bring in your wife/LTR. As for the home, I'm in the same boat as you - I've got heaps of half-done things (general shit but also proper building things). I've come to a realisation that if I do get someone to finish the building things, and I'll play it as: I've solved it and even if it costs extra at least it will be done well. Plus it won't weigh o…

I'm also new, and developing my MAP. I see the Dread levels 1 to 5 as the ones I can work on to improve myself. From 6 onwards they get more serious and seem a bit distant to me now. So I've set goals for myself in those first 5 areas. If I am habitually hitting those targets, I will be a much improved man. At that stage, if I don't see improvement in the marriage then I will set a plan for the higher dread levels. So I've planned the MAP out for a fairly short term of 6 months. I will revisit t…

OYS 8/6/17 Third OYS. Going to keep this one short and sweet, I'm on the road and about to meet some old workmates in town for dinner. The Good: Exercising, good social life, and have improved my attitude to work (for some reason I was wavering and unmotivated). The best part was I have been very watchful of beers, and have been doing very well. I've become more assertive at work, and have started making time to meditate each evening (early days, but it feels calming). The Bad: Not much reading,…

Sounds like you know what the trigger is then. I doubt she's going to ever stop barking commands or making shitty comments. That's outside of your control. But you losing your control when it happens is something you can change. Other comments here have given you some good options when her "commanding voice" happens next. Time to start on those stategies, realise that you are still in control of yourself and whats happening. You'll get better each time.

There is a lot missing from this post. Where is all the anger coming from? You've skipped DGAF and sound pretty angry. Surely there's more going on than just arguments about leftovers. Hell I want to tell my wife to fuck off a lot... but I have found that there are better ways to get her off my case. NGAF is chief among them. Implementing the WISNIFG methods take practise so keep trying.

Thank you u/SorcererKing for motivating me to get off the bench and start getting involved. This was a great incentive, and I used it as a way of forming positive habits that will last beyond the 60 days. Exercise: I committed to exercising at least three times a week. Apart from sickness and some injury, I mostly did that. I'm doing the bodyweight exercises as it works well for me. I also pushed myself at times when I didn't want to exercise but did, and most of the times I've been exercising i…

That's a good question. I still have a bit of anger and resentment towards the wife. It's a slow process to see the past as my own failings rather than blame her for it. Thinking on it, that's probably why I've not been motivated to spend that energy on doing fun things with her. Also, my game is shit. I will learn and practise, but there are more important red areas of my life to focus on right now.

Good and bad week. My goal for the week was to start setting measurable goals. GOOD: I met the plate (should really be called a FWB) and told her that the Benefits were being withdrawn. I want to focus my time and energy. When I'm chasing that pussy (and hell, it is good pussy but it is only pussy) it takes too much of my time: I need to hide tracks, I need to spend my energy. Good OYS - as I read more of them I'm starting to learn the best ones are where you can identify the mistakes/opportunities and have a plan to not make/miss them again. Which you have done. Fuck, you are a braver man than I am. I have been asked a few times and just sorta spin some shit and do something else. The reason I STFU about all of it is because I want to do this for me. She'll come around or not. She'll get the benefit of having a stronger and better groomed husband whether I told her why or not. I'm not expecting her to help me. When a 40yo guy decides out of the blue to buy a sportscar, ogle/creep on young women and behave like he's back in high school... that's a dead-set crisis. When a 40yo you starts lifting, fuelling yourself with better food, and taking control of your life... that's NOT a mid life crisis. That is the best thing you could be doing for yourself. Keep at it. And look at the shit tests that follow. You know you are on the right path. Keep improving.

Just this evening I was remembering something my wife said a few years back, parrotting something she had heard or read, that "housework is the best sort of foreplay". She is more likely to want sex if the house is clean, the dishes are done.... And what a fucking chump... I did that. And did it work? Well it certainly worked for her. .. This is a relevant post, given what happened in Manchester. Those fuckers could strike wherever. Fuck them, scum that they are. Scum. My take on the post is not to think that disaster is around the corner... rather that it could be around the corner. And you need to be ready. E.g. Having a bushfire plan is good sense If disaster happens, won't you be better able to protect your family if you are in control, physically capable and mentally prepared?

Happiness is certainly not a choice, its a consequence of your actions. Working out your particular stressors can go a long way towards fixing the situation. Expecting the worst is not healthy. You need to turn it around and work out how to get rid of the stuff that makes your life hard. There was a good post a while ago about USAF pilots eliminating stressors which may help. I'm only a slight guy, used to do a lot of cardio and have now switched to strength work (through r/bodyweightfitness rather than weights/gym). There's a big difference - after feeling and seeing the results of strength work I'm walking taller, straightened my posture, and feel more confident. The other comments have great advice. I've been lurking on here and askMRP for quite a while, and the 60DoD challenge has been the catalyst to get me joined up (hell I wasn't even a redditor before this).
