Absolutely. Learned exactly what not to do or look for in a partner for next time! No rush though, everything has a cost.

I’m not in the free & clear yet. Yes we’re separated & divorced but I’m still living in several aspects of our old life. I think that things will dramatically get better once I sell house & close on new place.

Together 8 years, married for 3. She planted stuff in my car to accuse me of cheating with a woman at work in the parking lot. Couldn’t even be a big girl about it, got the request for divorce over a text message.

Absolutely, the 5 pets I got left with kept me afloat over the winter. Without them & being alone all winter with all the constant emotions & pain I’m not so sure how things would have turned out. Not sure if you’re a faith person but I’ve been leaning heavily on for months.

I found that I had to always play background noise or music to disrupt the silence. Also found for me that keeping busy around the house instead of letting my mind wander helped some.

We separated in October. That was about when I had to totally stay away from alcohol. Divorced was finalized in January. Haven’t had any alcohol since. I also couldn’t stand the silence in my house. Have had Alexa playing something for background noise since.

Never saw it coming. I mean things weren’t too good between us but never thought she’d do what she did.

Personally I found this past winter excruciating. Ex wife broke the news that she wanted a divorce right before my birthday in November & right before the holidays. This past winter almost broke me.

That’s just the thing, deciding when to truly be “ready” for change. How does one measure that, especially not knowing that tomorrow is guaranteed?

I immediately wanted to sell my house & move far away to a different state or join the military. After talking to some people, it was repeatedly recommended that I don’t make any major life changing decisions until I get a hold of myself. Everything went down in October, divorced finalized in January. Everyday since, has been the same day on repeat for me. I’ve had enough & am trying to sell my house. She left all of her belongings at my house & stuck me with all 5 pets. For me personally, it’s …

I know that 5 pets is way too many for 1 person. It’s really not fair to the dogs right now. She talks all this shit how she cares so much about them but hasn’t come around to help care for them at all the past 8 months. She also says how she’s going to take the dogs but never does. They really saved me through the winter. I was not in a good place & can never repay them. The house situation is a complex one. Besides the memories being too much, there’s a history of water & flooding issues. A fe…
