Happy birthday and don't push yourself too hard. 🤗🤗 I'm doing EMDR too and know how hard it can be. I'm also using it to process my sexual assault experiences and it does help a ton.

Omg it's that time right now. My most recent ex just did the same. I have him blocked everywhere, but when I saw that notification I started cracking up laughing. Keep looking forward tho babe. There's better things in the future. 🤗

I also recommend learning the basic intro to the language. I.e. "yes" "no" "how are you" "good" and etc.

One guy I dated that was very anti-porn was super religious to the point of being in a cult. Lol I've yet to meet a man that has a blasé point of view to porn.

I can relate. First world problems, but the first 6 months I moved into my new house I was depressed. Empty rooms and cold bed. To me having pets (two extra big and loveable doggies a German shepherd and Plott hound) has been a game changer. I want cuddles? ✅ Hugs? ✅ Someone (thing?) To hike or watch TV with? ✅ I even feed my dogs the same time I eat dinner. I consider them my kids. I've recently started adding in house plants too. To me it's a good way to add in care and warmth to the home. I h…

And theirs is always "physical touch" and the second one is a random one. 🙄 Like I need and want physical touch too, but that doesn't mean sex. 🙄

I struggle with SA myself. Having a sex therapist has actually helped me a lot. SA feeds off shame; so, everytime you get upset at yourself it perpetuates the cycle. Book recommendations that I've read so far: "Getting Off" by Erica Garza "Out of the Shadows: Understanding Sexual Addiction" by Patrick Carnes (it's geared for men, but there's still a lot of good info) My to read list: "Understanding Sexual Addiction and the Road to Healthy Intimacy" by Maureen Canning There's a few more but those…

Go visit, stay at the hotel, but don't let him spend the night. Life's short and if he arranges it all, no harm, no foul. I also view it vital that we see our romantic partners on the own turf. People tend to become more relaxed and let things slip that they normally wouldn't when in their domain.

I can relate. I identify as Pans, but I have a preference for the male physique. I've only dated one female so far and seen a few, each one has been 100x better than every male I've dated. I also feel a lot more comfortable with women vs men and find the communication channels with women that I've dated is a lot clearer. I've actually been thinking of making this year a women's only year for romantic relationships.

I always say it straightforward and make it clear. "I'm so glad you're coming up to visit me, let me know if you need hotel recommendations." The bed time boundary I would make it clear the day/night of. I.e. "I'm so sleepy I'm going to head to bed now." (If he's staying at your place) Or "it's getting late, you should head back to the hotel soon." "Just a heads up I'm I need to go to bed by xx time"

I've done long distance before and if the person insisted on staying over I always make them stay at other accomodations. I have a spare bed room which I've only let one guy use, mostly I tell them there's tons of hotels nearby, pick one. I always set time limits, they have to leave before 11pm, any later and they'll find an excuse to stay. If they stay in the spare bedroom I set a bedtime for myself for when I'll withdraw. IMO if you do let him stay over, definitely lay some firm boundaries and…

I'd be careful of the, "I'm comfortable with whatever you're comfortable with" speech. He's deflecting and putting the stress of the relationship on you. In my opinion that's a red flag.

I don't think you're being to stingy. No matter where you are in the world, there's always odd jobs that people can find. IMO if someone doesn't have a job despite looking for months, either their resume sucks, their standards are unreasonable, or they approaching the job market in the wrong way. He did try to make effort, but long term relationship goals. Is he able to provide for the family? No.

This is what I do. My last car I bought only one man would talk to me. I had stalked out the SUV I wanted, a made in America and blue colored beauty. Told him I was only interested in that vehicle and had cash down payment. It was hilarious seeing the other guys looking at us and how fast the finance guy ran out to confirm everything. 😂 The first time I tried to buy my own car years ago I had the salesmen tell me to bring my husband. Just pointing out general examples. Hard referring to more traditionally "men's work". Home remodeling is considered a more masculine activity. And as I said before, I'm just pointing out my tradition family's opinion. A lot of things don't make sense since the traditions are based on a blue print that isn't needed anymore.

It's pretty interesting to me. My family is fairly traditional, we still do seating assignments based of hierarchy and a few other archaic things. Our idea of a traditional setting, we break it down into hard and soft work. The women's job is to manage all the things in the house i.e. home budget, decorations, cooking and cleaning schedule. The man's job is outside the home i.e. making money, the yard work, and any "hard" work like hanging the pictures or more intensive cleaning jobs. It's suppo…

That is so disgusting. I'm fully caucasian appearing but I've gotten the race card used before. An Asian guy that was pursuing me kept complimenting my eyes and how gorgeous they are, to the point it was creepy. I also noticed from that, I always diversify my compliments whereas men tend to have 5 compliments or less they'll rotate through. I'm used to multi-cultral households so it always throws me for a loop when I meet narrow minded peeps. I'm glad you were able to stand up for your siblings …

That super sucks. It's sad when the medical staff and law enforcement don't work together. I'm lucky that my current hospital has cracked down on all the BS. I.e. if they are wanted we'll hold onto them until the cops come and if we have issues with a patient they're more than willing to come. I had a ED patient this year try to keep me "hostage" in their room since I was so "pretty and kind" I was like Sir, I'm just doing my job. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ It was so nice having those 4 cop cars show up to…

It really is. I very much recommended self defense classes and a CCW (if you can) if you haven't taken them already. It gives a huge peace of mind. It is very exhausting being a woman. When I broke up my crazy ex I had other women advising me to date another guy to scare him away, instead I got my CCW. It is infuriating that men only respect other men.

I've dated 5-10 years older and younger than me (I was 26 and them 20). Definitely don't recommend. I stay now stay 3 years +/- for romantic interests and I'm enjoying it a lot more. Granted I'm still in my 20s so age gap matters a lot more to me. Men do mature differently than women but they also tend to age faster than women. Lol League being a red flag. 😂😂 I can understand, but I play league myself when my friend are up for it. 😂 Non behavioral red flags to me: what type of music do they listen to, media do they consume, and people around them. If they listen to very derogatory music it's a red flag to me. I listen to heavy Metal (Grunge and nu metal) and rap. I can relate. It's important to build up your support network. Those roles that our blood family should fill, can always be filled by someone else (even if it's ourselves). I've went low contact with my family and have never felt better. I have one best friend now and several friends and acquaintances. Just observing how my mom raised my brother and us. In regards to sex, it was discussed in clear concise manners, puberty was fully explained long before we encountered it. My mom refused to let us romanticize sex and relationships (i.e. explaining the players handbook, not letting us read or watch things that were outlandishly romantic i.e. romance books and movies). I don't think there's anything wrong with being a SAHM as long as boundaries are clearly defined and upheld. However I completely understand where this is coming from. Too often women are taken advantage of and dishonored. I.e. my mom is a SAHM, she manages all the finances, has gotten her Bachelor's degree and is getting her Masters currently. I rescued a German Shepherd last year, he hates men, about ages 13 and up. I don't know his story, but I've done a lot of animal rescue and have worked with a lot of animals with trauma/agression to men, I wish it wasn't common. Getting back into anorexia is my biggest fear and I can completely agree. Watching porn triggers my ED and with NVM ex he would subconsciously trigger it due to his comments about women or his insta follows. I'm glad you're in a lot better place now and with someone that is able to support you. 💛

I've gotten a lot better since limiting my contact with men. I no longer do casual talks, if we talk it has to be for a purpose. My mom has always warned me of this and seeing my girl friends go though similar things, I agree with my mom, it's better to be a single mom than an unhappy married mom. 100% my last ex was like this, it took me awhile to realize we have differences in our values. I worked my way from the ground up and hate asking for help. He always expected handouts, but wouldn't be willing to put in the work himself. Big teller would be that despite having 2 degrees, he lived at home and didn't own or a car or house or contribute in meaningful ways to his parents household. Whereas me, 5 years younger, have my own car, my own house, my own dogs, and more.

Funny when a female says their ex was crazy or psycho they legit mean it. One of my ex's was a closet psycho and I got my CCW and got back into martial arts because of it.

I've been collecting a list of last names that I like. Lol I've been super tempted to go with a non roman lettered name to make it even harder.

With #3 all the way, I've had to talk this out step by step with my mother on how I don't need a man for financial security or kids. I have a house, I have a car, investments, multiple bank accounts, planning on buying my second property this year, and more. ✌️ Now she's just super excited on when I'm going to have kids.

My parents bought me a 6 month subscription since they want to see me "settled down". I tried it for 3 months, went on a few good dates, but honestly it was so stressful and time consuming. I'd rather meet someone naturally through a hobby or something.

Preach. Lol I work in healthcare too and I wear a wedding ring at work for this very reason, I also cover my full name on my badge. I was doing some paperwork for a patient and this patient kept trying to read my hand writing to get my name. I was like wow you're desperate and good luck finding anything. ✌️ I'm legit thinking of adding a second last name onto my name when I finish my doctorates just so I can use that name professionally.
