In my case, my ex was pre-conditioned by social media to see me as a wallet, nothing more.

Rarely do people go into marriage planning divorce, marriage is a huge change and investment, most men get married hoping that they will find someone they will live the rest of their lives with, also statistic show that majority of marriages are initiated by women.

Solid advice, but prenups are always better.

Self respect, marriage should improve your self image and bolster your dignity, In my case she was doing the opposite, she was going through a methodical and systematic process to crush my soul and my self image so she can get what she wants and turn me into an empty shell. Divorce is hard, but in no way its as hard and distructive as losing yourself.

No single event, everyday during our short 9 months marriage, daily disrespect, gaslighting, contempt and verbal abuse, even though I was very keen to not match her verbal abuse or answer it, I kept my mouth shut the whole time as it was of no use. One day I just couldnt take it anymore.

Social media is a huge factor in failed marriages, they disconnect from reality, easy communication, exposure to luxury lifestyles ( many are fake and just a show) feed the misconception that its better somewhere else, both men and women fall for it, but in my opinion, women more than men because they tend to be more emotional and less logical in these matters and are always looking fot validation.

I had a very bad 2024 and I can confidently say that it is the worst in my life so far. Keep your head high and keep going, hopefully 2025 will be better.

Although I have been trying to overcome and heal, there is a part of me that still want closure, maybe payback and some other mixed feelings. Note: I noticed the unblock by mistake, I do not visit her profile.

I am in no way opening any door after this hell, but, to be honest, I am looking for closure as things happened so fast and I didnt have the time to understand what happened, why was she so abusive during marriage and aggressive during divorce, what is on her mind? I do not know if these thoughts are healthy or matter at all.

I am just so sorry to hear what you're going through. It does sound very, very painful and disorienting, especially after having been in the relationship with that person for a long time. You've clearly invested a great deal in your relationship and really tried to make things work out, even when challenging issues came up. First of all, none of it is your fault. Relationships are partnerships, and by all you wrote here, it doesn't seem like you did anything wrong. If anything, it sounds like yo…

Any way I can confirm that, maybe lure her in into disclosing something or maybe look out for clues.

She only shared one thing, her friend shared how she was sad about her ongoing relationship with her boyfriend who promised marriage, left the country and how he is being a liar and manipulative. Nothing else

How can I confirm that, what behaviours should I look for? What can I do, Please give me advice if you can.

I have never threatned her with divorce or called her any name, she was always the aggressive side who would never let even the smallest, most pathetic problems pass. From my part, and to be honest, I have been exhausted most of the time because of the tense environment and was not emotionally there at all.

There is no such thing as an annulment where I live, 1 day after marriage it is considered a divorce, kids are out of discussion, but I have very strong reasons to delay divorce for a while. We do not have prenups here, but we also do not have the concept of "Marital Assets". I just need to manage monthly income, strictly. Also, alimony here is only granted for the duration of seperation (living seperately buy not divorces), I dont intend to seperate before divorce.
